Bluz is an Emmy award winning poet having and is the Slam Master and Coach of the 3 time National Poetry slam Championship team, Slam Charlotte.  A published author and recording artist, Bluz’ poetry is universal, dismantling barriers. Working with several organizations such as CBS Radio, ESPN and SPEED TV where he wrote and performed several intros for nationally televised shows for NASCAR. Bluz’ voice is a progressive tool used to foster transformation. Bluz’ made an impact when he performed at the induction ceremony for the NASCAR Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame opening and Bluz being, not only the first performer, but also the 1st African-American performer, was a historic event. His talent and voice was used by Charlotte to win the All America City Award, the Carolina Panthers, and Charlotte Hornets.

Rhonda is an NAACP nominated Best-Supporting actress and Los Angeles native known for her role in the NAACP award-winning stage play, Sunday Mourning in 2012.  Rhonda has overcome adversity and defied odds since the age of seven when she tragically suffered a gunshot wound to the leg. But God had other plans. After being confined to a wheelchair and told that she would never walk again, she miraculously re-took her first steps at the age of eleven: steps that led to the entertainment business.

Mother and son team Ingrid Butler and Irie Butler are planning to restore their Charlotte community with a new art therapy/custom sneaker shop, Shoed Gallery in Birkdale Village.  Shoed Gallery is a dream that’s been in the works for the last two years, although Irie, 19, has been in the sneaker business for over six. The space is half art therapy studio and gallery, and half custom art sneaker store.  The original plan was to open in April, but COVID-19 paused things a bit. Now, they are ready to provide therapy and healing in a time when the world needs it most, while also giving back to their community.

Tyresshia Baldwin is the creator of The Charlotte Black Business Group on Facebook.  The group was launched with the mission of bridging the gap between black businesses and their consumers. The group was inspired her husband Jontavius Mays owner of Mays Auto Detailing in Charlotte, North Carolina.  Since the group launched in 2016 they have grown to become the largest black owned business group in Charlotte, North Carolina home to over 33,000 members.
