Today, I bring you a simple but important truth: Life is for Living. You are a living being created to truly live and bask in the goodness of God. You are more than your work, more than your family responsibilities, more than your past. You are even more than your dreams, more than your ambitions and more than your goals. You were created for love, for life, for freshness, for goodness, for laughter, for joy, for pleasure, for Sabbath.PS: I'll be going on a break during the month of August, so there will be no new podcast episodes. This would be a good time to catch up on previous podcast episodes you may have missed or listen to the ones that you need to take in again. I pray that by the time we return, you will have a long list of things to be truly grateful for in Jesus' Name. See you in the first week of September by God's grace!

I pray that we will give the Holy Spirit room in our hearts and in our lives, so that He can help us to receive and believe the truth of God's thoughts towards us in Jesus’ Name.

Hello everyone!

We’re back with Season 4 of The Lifeaholic Podcast, and in this first episode, we’re discussing how to deal with something that is prevalent in our world today – too much information.

Everywhere we turn, there’s some new data to process and new decisions to make. Information is being thrown at us from different corners. There’s some coming from within us and even much more coming from our environment.

This can take its toll on us in many ways: anxiety, overwhelm, confusion, and so many negative effects.

So, in this conversation, we explore four different ways to deal with information overload.

In this episode, I mentioned the Christian online Radio Station: pastor.ng/radio. Go check it out!

Hello, people! Welcome to this super thrilling episode of The Lifeaholic Podcast! Today, I chat with the awesome Omoniyi Oni - Music Minister, IT Consultant, and great human being. This conversation was deep on so many levels!

Omoniyi is truly one of my favourite music ministers and his songs have been a huge blessing to me. His primary assignment is to heal and restore hope through the ministry of the Word and music. He ministers with such grace and his music births hope and healing in the lives of his listeners. Honestly, sitting with him for this conversation was pure joy!

Among several other things, we talk about his venture into music at a young age, how he grew into his calling in music, how he manages to juggle this with his work as an IT expert (and how anyone can manage multiple talents and callings). We also talk about the most common way God speaks to us and how knowing God is the foundation of true self-awareness. Oh, and you’ll get to hear me sing for a teeny bit!

Enjoy the podcast. I hope, like me, you’ll leave with clarity, wisdom and hope.

Hello everyone! Today, we’re wrapping the month of April up with a discussion on Questions That Matter. So, on this episode, we discuss a few questions that we need to ask ourselves regularly if we want to fulfill our multi-faceted calling in God.

These are not big questions, but there are likely to be the same questions we may find ourselves asking at the end of our lives when it’s time to go and face the Lord. We certainly don’t need to wait till the end of our lives to ask (and answer) them!

Enjoy the podcast. And don’t forget to answer the questions for yourself!

Hello, awesome people of The Lifeaholic community!

I’m super excited because on this episode of the podcast, I have a conversation with the unstoppable Tobiloba Ajayi, founder of The 'Let Cerebral Palsy Kids Learn' Foundation. And let me tell you, it was all shades of light and inspiration!

In so many ways, Tobiloba exemplifies a true Lifeaholic. She’s taking life head-on, and living with Cerebral Palsy isn’t going to stop her from doing anything she sets her mind to, whether it’s creating a more inclusive world, climbing Olumo Rock without lifts or doing the Canopy Walk at the Kakum National Park in Ghana! Can you believe that?

We talk extensively about growing up with Cerebral Palsy and how the condition has encouraged her to be creative and resourceful, and the framework she uses at her foundation which has enabled them to help over 400 kids with Cerebral Palsy access mainstream education in just 4 years. We also talk about her relationship with God and how anyone can move from dissatisfaction to fulfillment. You’ll especially love her quick self-coaching style!

Enjoy the podcast! I hope, like me, you’ll leave educated, inspired and challenged.

So, today, we talk about a few groups of things that may be pruned so that the right things can be reinforced.

Hello, everyone. Welcome to the beautiful month of March! This month, we’re talking and sharing around the theme of Order.

Today, we’re kicking off with something crucial – doing a mind declutter.

For us to be at our best and live our best lives (and keep our sanity), we need to intentionally declutter our minds from time to time. So, we share the reason and process for an effective mind declutter on the podcast today.

May your heart be light, may your path be clear and may your actions be true to who you are in God. In Jesus Name. Amen.

Hello, everyone. This week we go into authenticity proper (finally!).

In today’s world where it is possible to see what other people are doing in real time, it is very tempting to copy other people and try to be like them. Comparison, fear, pretension and self-judgment is so easy and often very natural, if we’re being honest.

Being authentic means being true to our own values and reflecting this to ourselves and to the people around us in our choices and actions. Of course, it comes with great, life-changing benefits. Go listen!

This week’s assignment: I want you to put yourself under a magnifying glass. Take just one area of life that you’re currently uncomfortable about and probe the reason for your discomfort. Is it because you are doing things you would rather not do for reasons that you don’t understand or that you wouldn’t allow yourself to address?

Whatever it is, write it down in your journal and with the help of the Holy Spirit, take a deep look into why you feel the way you do about it. That's all I want you to do. Just write it down. You don't even have to act on it yet. Just uncover it and acknowledge it.

We briefly mentioned the book, Create Your Ideal Career: Your Roadmap to Purposeful, Passionate and Personally-Suitable Work. You can get it at TheLifeaholic.com.

Hello, people!

In today’s episode, we’re talking about what it means to embrace the present.

It’s great to have a picture of a desirable future, look forward to it and even work towards it. But often times we miss out on present opportunities to be joyful, thankful and faithful. So, we’re talking about living passionately and purposefully right now, wherever we are and whatever our circumstances.

This week’s assignment: Take one area of your life where you have been waiting for things to change, or a situation that you often find yourself upset about. Then, write out three positive things about it that can help to shift your perspective and make the most of it.

This episode was a blast!

It’s the season finale of The Lifeaholic Podcast Season 1! Whoop whoop!! We recap the entire season and just have a boatload of fun! This is my favourite episode of this season!

It’s been such an amazing journey and I have a heart full of gratitude and a head full of lessons, which I share in the podcast.

Here are some of the lessons I shared:

  • You never really know how things will go until you actually start. Planning can only take you so far.
  • Always keep in mind why you started something in the first place, so that when challenges and discouragement knock, you’ll have your motivation intact.
  • Just start with whatever God has laid on your heart. You can polish things and get better as you go along.

I am so grateful to God for His grace, strength and inspiration throughout this season. I am grateful to teachers and mentors all over the world who have helped me and taught me. And I am grateful to my wonderful listeners and The Lifeaholic community who have come along week in week out and shared great feedback. God bless you all.

It’s Christmas! I pray that your relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ will deepen this beautiful period. Have a Merry Christmas and a great start to 2021!

In today’s episode, I’m asking you a very simple but important question: What one thing are you leaving behind in 2020? What habit, emotion, mindset, relationship, thing will absolutely not make it into 2021 with you?

I know 2020 is not quite over yet, but I’m hoping this will get you thinking in the right direction.

I also share my own answer to that question and the recent events in my life that caused me to make that choice.

Today, we continue our discussion on goal-setting. We explore a few important questions that will help you set goals that are not just right for you, but that will also motivate you to do the work of achieving them.

The questions are taken from my new workbook Before You Set Goals: 10 Coaching Questions to Help You Set Goals That Please God and Take You Forward

Remember that you can get the workbook while it’s still free! Get it at TheLifeaholic.com

Here are some of the episode highlights:

  • Our goals do not need to be outlandish. We just need to set goals that take us forward right now. When we move further, we can then move to other, possibly bigger goals.
  • Our lives belong to God. For this reason, we can’t set goals and ask Him to come on board and bless them. We need to ask Him what He expects us to do and then set goals in line with whatever or wherever He leads.
  • We have a better understanding of our life’s trajectory than anyone else. And our goals should reflect what we understand about ourselves.

Happy new month! On the podcast today, we look at goal-setting from a unique angle: How to clarify our life’s seasons so that we can set the goals that truly take us forward and that are in line with God’s desires for us.

Very importantly, I introduce my new workbook, Before You Set Goals: 10 Coaching Questions to Help You Set Goals That Please God and Take You Forward. Get it at TheLifeaholic.com. It’s free for a limited time.

Here are some of the highlights of this episode:

  • There are many good techniques to setting and achieving goals. But none of those techniques will help much or mean much if we do not set the right goals in the first place.
  • There are different areas or domains of life, and in each domain or area of life, every individual is in a specific season per time.
  • Life seasons differ from person to person and so should our goals.
  • We cannot always measure a specific season in calendar time.
  • It’s better not to try to set too many goals at the same time. We do not have to set goals for all of life domains at the same time.

Today, we talk about having a Personal Creed and how it helps us to determine and become who we want to be (as different from what we want to be).

Here are some of the highlights:

  • A good starting point for life direction, personal growth and goal-setting is to determine who you want to be.
  • A Personal Creed is a personal statement of identity, values, principles and desires.
  • Having a Personal Creed can help you understand who you want to be and also help you to work towards being that person.
  • You can download a free sample of a Personal Creed at TheLifeaholic.com and edit it into something that works for you.

Today, we discuss the importance of deliberate personal growth and how it helps us become more of who God has called us to be.

We also share some tips on how to intentionally adapt growth activities to our lifestyle. Here are some of the highlights of the podcast:

  • Personal growth is the deliberate and conscious process of personal improvement in any area of life.
  • We don’t have to be perfect to receive God’s love, His salvation and the attendant blessings.
  • But we do need to grow if we want to have the life of our dreams and become the person in God's heart and plans for us.

On the podcast today, I share some of my learning points from a recent experience with indecision. Here are some of the podcast highlights:

  • When we need to or want to take a major decision, are we struggling with lack of clarity or are we struggling with fear?
  • Some things are not meant to work so that better things can fall into place.
  • Even when some of our ideas and plans don’t work, God has promised that as believers who are connected to Him, we will prosper in all we do.
  • Since our prosperity has already been guaranteed, are we man/woman enough to take God at His word and attempt what’s in our heart?

  • Today, we discuss how we can finish the year 2020 strong, regardless of how things may have been up to this point.

Hello people! In this week's episode, we talk about something I've called 'The 5 Levels of Personal Definition.'

Many of us seem to have lost the sense of who we are, what we’re about, what we bring to the world. When we get things mixed up, confusing our core identity with other things, it can lead to major mental, emotional, social issues. That’s why I wanted to share these 5 levels of personal definition with you.

Here are the highlights:
