Bare Skin Rocks is a show that discusses topics that often times can spark a fiery debate between genders or generations. Topics such a divorce, affairs, women empowerment, workplace ethics, and many of society's unspoken rules. Lily Kew is a celebrated woman entrepreneur and founder of Kew Organics, and is twice married - to the same man. This podcast would be relevant to those who find themselves disagreeing with how things are done "these days". Each episode our hosts discuss both sides of the argument and work towards finding a probable solution to the problem.
Lily Kew, host of Bare Skin Rocks, had a particularly bad day. "Why men just don't listen ah?" she asked co-host, Eugene Tay. This led to a 30mins discussion on Eugene's hypothesis that it's because women are just not asking it the right way. As always, Bare Skin Rocks talks about the things you are thinking of but don't dare speak about it in public. Watch the video on YouTube here.
The government laments that the population is decreasing - Couples are opting not to have children or just stopping at one. Recently MP Ang Wei Neng created a social media storm when he suggested that in order of higher learning to take place, degree certifications should have an expiry date. The internet was affronted by such a thought and people started making memes out of it. I put Lily Kew (founder of Kew Organics) in the hot seat to discuss this topic. Verdict is, we agree that degrees should have an expiry date, and we both kinda think that a degree is useless for most of us. Listen to this 30mins discussion and let us know if you agree with us. State of marriages in modern society seems very flimsy. Divorce figures are on a year on year increase. Something isn’t working out with the concept of marriage. In this episode, Lily and Eugene explore a topic that is happening all too often that most people are not comfortable talking about in public. Back in our grandparents generation, they will stick it through to the end. Can that tradition still apply in modern times? There's a saying that we are only as faithful as our options. Is the social media landscape enabling such behaviour? Join us in this discussion on Facebook at Voice of Our Generation.
