In today's podcast we are going to talk about how to remember your dreams. After sharing my first podcast with a few friends and family, I got messages from people that they never dream or they don't remember their dreams. If they are having an issue, I'm sure this is a common issue that a lot of people have out there and I’m here to help you overcome your dreamless sleep problems!

5 tips that help me remember some or most of my dreams almost every night and I hope they will help you as well!

  1. Set your intention to remember your dreams. Simply tell yourself you will remember your dreams. It sounds too easy, I’m sure, but when you have that desire in your mind, your awareness will be activated which will help you achieve your goal. Repeat this intention a few times before going to sleep and trust me, it will happen. Just simply repeat the phrase “I will remember my dreams.” “I will remember my dreams.” “I will remember my dreams” and watch the magic happen.
  2. Start a dream journal. Every morning make it a habit of writing down something that you can recall from your sleep. Maybe you can't remember anything, that's perfectly fine, just write about how you feel upon waking up. A few nights ago I had a very sad dream and I could really remember it right away but I had an overwhelming sad emotion that overcame me. I felt like crying as soon as I woke up, it took a min but then the dream slowly came to me. Sometimes dreams are like that, I will be living my life and all of a sudden the memory of the dream i had the night prior will jump into my mind and I’ll remember the dream from the night prior.
  3. When you wake up and don’t open your eyes right away, lay there and just think about what your just experienced. A lot of times once we open our eyes, the day flashes before us and our thoughts are racing. Give yourself time to remember even if its just 2-3 mins of laying. Not only will it help with dream recall, it will help make your morning a little bit more peaceful. I know it personally makes my mornings better.
  4. Drink some water before bed, not too much where you will need to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night but just enough where you won’t wake up thirsty. Sometimes when your sleep is interrupted in the middle of the night it messes up your REM sleep cycle which can make it hard to get into that space where you can recall your dreams.
  5. There are certain herbs and vitamins that can help with dream recall.

In this podcast I talk about my very first dream of 2022 and the message I received from it.

In this dream I listen to a spiritual guru which doesn't end well with us as friends! I am left with the overall message of this dream that my motto for 2022 is Motion is life. It reminds me of a conversation I had with my dad where he told me when you stop moving you start dying. So don’t stop moving. Moving physically, mentally, or even spiritually. keep moving with intention, keep evolving, and keep dreaming!
