Everyone and their cat is talking about witches. But what is a Witch? Or a Medicine Woman, or Priestess? How does one become one? And what is the common thread between women who identify as such magical creatures?
Welcome to the WitchHunt podcast, where we hold space for healing conversations that collectively explore these questions with the intention of celebrating, illuminating and elevating the rise of feminine energy, magic and self-sourced power in a world that’s gone mental.
Every New and Full moon, hostess Alexandra Raquel Hughes — who identifies as all 3 of these sacred “types” in her own weird way — invites you to brew some tea, light a candle and join her in her conversations with Witches, Medicine Women, Priestesses and other magical women from around the world.
So come! Gather to share in the knowledge, experience, magic and sacred stories of those women who once hunted to be burned at the stake, are now hunted to be held in the light, so they (we) can illuminate the way.
I'm beyond deeeeelighted to share with you the juiciest Witchhunt episode everrrrrrr: Communing Romantically with Nature: An Invitation to Talk (& do) Sex Magic, with Kiki Keskinen and Shoshana Sperling.
This episode, serendipitously airing under a Pisces full moon is a little different than most. Because while we do dive into the stories of our guests, Kiki Koskinen, and Shawna Sperling, what we talk most about is their teachings around the hot and sexy and mysterious topic that is sex magic.
Think: birds, bees, blueberries, olive oil & trees.
Think: sacred wheel of consent.
And get ready for a whole new take on the radical and revolutionary act that is experiencing delicious juicy pleasure as a woman today.
Without further ado, let's dive into the magic of communing romantically with nature that is your body and the joy it's made to give you.

Welcome to episode 24 of the WitchHunt podcast, featuring an incredibly courageous and beautiful soul, Arlia Hoffman.
In this episode, Arlia shares with us the tender and inspiring story of how she stepped out of the perfect mom life, into a life of counter-cultural sovereignty.
She tells us about her divorce, and most incredible rebirth. Rebirth into a truth that meant leaving her family and living a revolutionary life where she honored her true poly-amorous, bisexual self, role modeling self-defined sovereignty to her daughters.
She tells us how she knows when she’s doing “the right thing”, the magic of body and intuitive-led micro-choices and what being monogamous to her own soul means to her.
Arlia's story of bold courage is going to blow you away. And I know you’re going to love her gentle yet strong and inspiring energy.
Enjoy this episode with this beautiful Priestess of Aphrodite.

I'm so excited to share with you episode 22 of the WitchHunt podcast: “Yo no soy una bruja” — a conversation with plant-witch, kitchen-witch and a Spanish Witch's granddaughter, Angela Accomando.
Ever wonder what it might have been like to be raised by a Witchy grandma?
Well grab your headset and get ready to hear some hilariously witchy speaking-to-the-dead-at-family-dinner-parties stories from our beloved New York plant witch, Angela Accomando.
Angela was raised in New York City by her Spanish grandmother — a clandestine witch who, while insisting on secrecy more broadly, practiced healing magic with her family and all those who asked.
Angela denied her feminine witchy side until she began to unravel how the patriarchy manifested inside of her through her work with Dr. Valerie Rein. It was only after understanding Patriarchy Stress Disorder (amazon.ca link to book here) that she allowed herself to embrace the magic she grew up with.
This episode offers a lot of laughs as Angela takes us into her childhood through story. It also speaks to the truth around how patriarchy-induced trauma has kept, and continues to keep women from honoring their witchy side for thousands of years. It also highlights how women of past generations have navigated the patriarchy in a way that keeps them safe, without denying their truth and power.
A witchy episode for this witchy season — Enjoy!

Hello and welcome to episode 20 of the WitchHunt podcast!
In this episode I introduce you to Jennifer Morris, a leader in the community and priestess of the Witch and Pagan Network. Jen is a Witch of pagan tradition who has identified as a witch since 1972 when, on her way to her grandmother’s house, she picked up a book called “How to cast spells”.
She tells us how, despite keeping her craft in the closet until the age of 50, breadcrumbs (or pebbles, as she calls them) kept coming her way eventually leading her to a position of leadership within a pagan coven.
She tells us about the roll martial arts and tarot played in her “awakening” (my word, not hers) and offers beautiful definition of ritual, as well as unraveling the difference between high (ceremonial) and folk magic. But above all, the theme that weaves its way through this episode is of freedom and diversity, and how both are embraced by “the craft”.
I know you’ll appreciate Jen’s experience and her nuggets of wisdom in this episode.
Enjoy!

Hello and welcome to episode 5 of season 3 — our 18th episode of the WitchHunt podcast!
What are some of the first words you associate with the word witch? If the words pagan or wicca or maybe even druidism come up for you, and you want to dive more into these as concepts and practices, then this episode is for you. Because in this episode we speak, for the first time, with a Witch who lives the Wicca and Pagan traditions.
Raeven Arwen, also known as Ketsia Elizabeth, shares how she began her journey of putting words to her witchy experience at the age of 13. She talks about the being and doing dance of Pagan and Wicca tradition, more recently exploring a more artistic approach to her witchcraft, through Druidism.
Raeven is a multi-passionate witch, who also happens to be an engineer. She talks about embracing her Celtic roots and we have a fascinating chat about the links between paganism, developing a reverent relationship with the Earth, environmentalism, food justice and agriculture. And how all of this feels like a new regenerative way forward for our species.
This is a fascinating episode with another fascinating woman.

Welcome to episode 2 of season 3 of the WitchHunt Podcast!
This is a soul-touching episode that I’m calling Ushering in the New Earth: An illuminating chat with New Earth Angel and Architect, and Priestess of Embodied Pleasure, Sara Yamtich
In this episode, Sara shares her fascinating story of remembering her way back into priestesshood, including many of the breadcrumbs she now knows led her exactly to where she needs to be. She shares her story of being raised in Southern-Baptist town in Missouri and how, without having the words to describe what she was doing at the time, she not only questioned the patriarchy but began to honor the feminine, exploring the spiritual and subconscious realms at a young age.
Sara also tells us about her sacred and ceremonial relationship with plant medicine, and shares one of the most beautiful and inspiring morning wake-your-feminine-divine-up rituals which I know I want to integrate into our life.
Sara’s become a dear Sister to me, and since this recording I’ve witnessed her leave Costa Rica to pursue the sacred arts of Priestesshood — first in Hawaii, and by the time this is released, she’ll have gone back to Chavin de Juantar in Peru. Sara’s also partnered up with two other magical souls, Clint Brown and Amanda Johnson, to create Awaken Village — a community of visionaries, entrepreneurs and change-makers — who are ready to come into community with fellow paradigm shifters. You can learn more about Awaken Village at join.awakenvillage.com.
Sara’s energy is contagious and you’re going to love getting to know her in this episode.

Welcome to Episode 5 of season 2, our 13th episode of the WitchHunt podcast!
It’s called: “ Get Quiet, Listen & Trust: the magical story of how one woman healed her way into her power, with Smadar Lorie, Medicine Woman and Stone Whisperer."
This episode tells the inspiring story of a woman who found her magic after a seemingly minor car accident left her with an invisible, undiagnosed condition. We learn how she gave up on conventional medicine, and learned to ask questions, get quiet, listen and trust. And how this mantra — get quiet, listen and trust — has since become Smadar’s modus operandi.
It’s a tale telling us how things — however mysterious and painful — do happen for us, for a reason.
Smadar also tells us about how, as a child, she felt deep connections with stones, experiencing them as friends. She tells us of the magic of water and how she energetically infuses water to create healing elixirs.
Smadar’s story (and voice!) are healing.
In addition to one of the most beautiful definitions highlighting the common thread magical women share, she also shares her wisdom around the witch wound in an uncut post script conversation that we recorded! Listen to the end in order not to miss this sweet uncut chat.
I could listen to (and chat with) Smadar until the cows come home, and I know you’ll delight in her soothing energy, too.
Enjoy!

Welcome to episode 4 of season 2 of the witch-hunt podcast — You Are The Medicine: A Deep Healing Conversation with Indigenous Healer, Mentor, International Best Selling Author, and Ceremonial Speaker, Asha Frost.
In this episode, Asha shares her own healing journey and how this was part of opening up to her own medicine. She shares her belief (and practice) that honors everyone as a teacher to her, and how her learning from the wisdom of others outside of her traditions helped her to trust her magic and strengthen her relationship with her own medicine.
We talk about her “Letter to White Women” which she wrote as an invitation to white women to be mindful of their own grief and pain, an invitation to those interested in taking in Indigenous Medicine, to do so while concurrently taking in the WHOLE story of indigenous people. (You can find it here: https://ashafrost.com/dearwhitewoman/)
Asha shares her wise reflections on what Ceremony is, the importance of the inner work in freeing the feminine dismantling of the colonial and patriarchal systems into which we were born. We talk about the magic of the turtle shell, the Sugar Moon teachings to come home to unconditional kindness or love. And so much more.
Towards the end, Asha blesses us with deer medicine — a beautiful healing journey all listeners will benefit from.
There is so much wisdom here — enjoy!

Welcome to the 11th episode — episode 3 of season 2, of the WitchHunt podcast!
This is an exceptionally touching conversation with Witch and Heart Guide Arya Yaguareté, who shares with us her dark night of the soul, and how honoring the shadow and the truth that lay within the shadow led her to the most mystical of rebirths.
Arya shares with us her courageous story of miscarriage, divorce and leaving her 6-figure job as a corporate leader in Toronto to honor her true calling in a small mountain town. She tells us how these experiences — albeit terrifying at times — took her into to her true, empowered self. And how she has, throughout it all, managed to honor each and every part of her journey so as to emerge whole, wise, strong and in a place of full trust.
One of my favorite nuggets is Arya’s wise share around how the witchhunts and long-standing witchwound that stems from us turning on our sisters can serve us in deepening an authentic relationship with ourselves. Listen to the episode to hear more.
This is an episode for all you Witches out there who are curious about shadow work, and the potential it has to support your fulfillment, magic potential and energetic expansion.
I know you’re going to love it!

Wow!
We’re really feeling into some of that Arian energies as we head into Season 2 of the WitchHunt podcast!
Our first episode of the season is an interview with Dr. Angela Lauria, who’s recently taken on the Goddess name Kali, stepping fully into her embodiment of the Goddess’ energy, as she embraces a radical identity shift.
Dr. Angela Lauria is an incredible woman and mother and entrepreneur, who I met in person at the StarBucks next to our kids’ school in Washington D.C. many moons ago. She is founder of The Author Incubator™ and creator of the Difference Process™ for writing a book that matters. I’ve watched Angela evolve into a successful 7-figure, then 8-figure entrepreneur and activist over the years. I was most blown away, though, by her most recent pandemic-induced transformation, which led her to establish the Socially Responsible Coaching Alliance — for coaches, consultants, authors, and speakers who want to create a more equitable society by building sustainable businesses that promote environmental, economic, and social justice.
One of the reasons I wanted Angela on the podcast was to share the Alliance’s new mission. And when I reached out to her, I had no idea of the personal transformation and rebirth that came along with this endeavour.
I was blown away!
In this episode we talk about evolutionary shifts of masculine and feminine energies in our lives and businesses, and the synonymous call to shift away from polarized black and white thinking towards the messy and unknown navigation of the grey that lies in-between. We talk about mind and heart coherence and how we’re witnessing souls (vs brains) taking stronger roles in decision-making.
Angela shares so much wisdom. She tells us how she honors destruction as part of the creation process and, related, how she stopped feeling like her own name and sought astrological and numerological guidance in her rebirth and renaming experience — taking on Kali, Hindu Goddess of Destruction, as part of her official identity. She shares her embrace of imperfection, and her be-do-be-do dance. Or, in other words, the importance of BEING who we want to become and not only doing what we need to do as a means of manifesting magic and creating miracles, two concepts, which she differentiates in detail. Angela also shares her struggle with depression, anti-depression medication and how in the end one simple, free, non-medicated, Earth-born ritual that anyone can tune into every single day cured her depression in the end — you’ll have to listen to the episode to learn her secret.
I can't wait to share Angela's energy with you in this episode! Enjoy!!!

In this episode you have the privilege of meeting witch, Patricia Panasri — an astrologer and business consultant who helps coaches and service providers get the confident cosmic confirmation to crank up the volume on their life's mission.
Patricia shares her story of transformation, and how she went from unconsciously rolling from one thing to the next until, after getting her Masters, she went backpacking through SE Asia.
From being a dedicated planner she found herself experiencing life where there was no path. In Thailand she learned to synch with the cycles of nature, to rest deeply and simply be. This is also where she fell in love, and started a family. And where she discovered the magic of astrology.
This episode tells the most beautiful story of a woman left home, to find home — from the inside out, and with a connection to the cosmos.
We talk about the practical power of astrology, how it helps you to make sense of the way of being that you already experience. We talk about the magic of mercury retrograde — and how it invites us to rest and reflect and live through/ learn from the mud that we sometimes need to go through on our way to success.
There is great wisdom, and an open door to more inner peace during these turbulent times.
Enjoy the episode!

Wow! This episode is revolutionary and for the mamas out there, it’ll hit very close to home and I know it’s a little early to do this, but I’m encouraging you to spread the post-patriarchal message for moms that’s rooted throughout this interview as far and wide as you can. (Yes, bringing the matriarchy home resonated deeply with me.)
Rebeka Gentian has created a living from her life as a designer + indie mama by embracing the creative feminine in the revolutionary act of mothering, by reimagining business as mother centered, and raising her family and her income at the same time.
No surprise, Rebeka’s a Witch!
In this episode, Rebeka takes us into her childhood where she shares tender stories of her experience turning to the great mother while her biological mother tended to her chronically ill younger brother. She tells of her inherent ability to communicate with her brother after he’d passed, and how this was one of the first times the considered that perhaps the world is not all she was being taught it was. All of this in a religious environment where there was no space to question authority.
Rebeka shares how in her 20s, it took a doctor’s telling her that she was going blind, and effectively losing her sight, for her to begin to question EVERYTHING —beginning with her exploration into non-conventional healing modalities. This was the beginning of her journey towards finding her own authority within.
Rebeka tells us how becoming a mother was that pivotal moment when finding her truth and living in alignment with it became a non-negotiable. And the amazing discoveries she unearthed when tracing her maternal lineage back to 1588!
She shares her passion and her commitment to place mothers at the centre of their lives — in their homes and in their businesses, sharing tips on post-patriarchal family life.
If you’re a mom struggling with overwhelm, and convinced that you can either be a good professional or a present mom, then this is for you? It’s also for you if you’re a mom exploring post-patriarchal ways of raising your kiddos.
So much good stuff! Enjoy the episode!

In this episode, hostess Alexandra Raquel Hughes tells a very serpentine 🐍 like story of how the podcast came to be. She shares her own personal awakening and mysterious ascension into Priestess/ Witch/ Medicine Woman land. She talks about her Sacred Pause experience and how wise sisters (and one amazing warlock) healed her through the shadows and into a place where she could hear the call to birth this exciting project. She also gets vulnerable and shares both how her podcasting-induced visibility-related witch wound quite literally petrified her, and how the big divinely guided WHY kept her going.
This is the introduction to what will be a third-eye opening witchy adventure! Enjoy!

This is a podcast for ALL women — those who don’t identify as Witches, Medicine Women or Priestesses but are curious about it all. Women who sort of do identify, but are also wondering what constitutes legitimacy in this sacred circle. And those who’ve been out-of-the-broom-closet for as long as they can remember.
