On episode 109 of the Play To Win Podcast, we're sending the show off with a bang thanks to the latest PlayStation Showcase. The showcase had a lot of great stuff, such as the first gameplay for Marvel's Spider-Man 2, gameplay for Alan Wake II, the reveal of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, and the announcement of Bungie's new game, Marathon. On episode 106 of the Play To Win Podcast, we're talking in-depth about Redfall, Xbox's latest AAA first-party exclusive. We've put about five hours into it so far and while it's not the worst game we've ever played we are shocked by how disappointing and boring it is. That then leads into a conversation about the state of Xbox in light of Redfall's poor reception and what's next for Microsoft. Tyler also finished Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, so he shares his final thoughts on this excellent entry in the series.

On episode 104 of the Play To Win Podcast, it's a fairly PlayStation-heavy episode. Sony acquired Firewalk Studios and revealed that their upcoming live-service multiplayer game will be coming to PS5 and PC. We speculate about what this new first-party studio will bring to PlayStation with their new project. The Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores DLC was also released this week, and Tyler has some early impressions of his time with the expansion so far. Capcom also held a Street Fighter 6 showcase and dropped a surprise demo that's got us more excited about the game than we already were.

EA revealed Immortals of Aveum, a new magic-based first-person shooter that looks shockingly good, Redfall is at the center of more controversy, The Super Mario Bros. On episode 101 of the Play To Win Podcast, the big news of the week is that E3 2023 has officially been cancelled. After facing many challenges in recent years and another cancellation, is this the end of E3 or will it return at some point in the future as a different event? In more bad news, MultiVersus is also shutting down its open beta for more than half a year and PS VR2 sales are looking pretty dire so far. On episode 98 of the Play To Win Podcast, Starfield's been delayed a few months, but Tyler's still excited with the new footage that was shown. On episode 96 of the Play To Win Podcast, we're going over PlayStation's first State of Play this year. While there were some cool PS VR2 games and great showings from Street Fighter 6 and Resident Evil 4, the show wasn't a huge one. We also got our first extended look at gameplay for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, confirming its live service design and killing our hype in the process. Microsoft made some pretty big deals with NVIDIA and Nintendo to try and get their acquisition of Activision Blizzard over the finish line, but will they make a difference? We also finally got to play Atomic Heart now that it's released, but with how rough it is, we certainly wish we didn't.
