TWU GSA
Eido is a podcast about faith, science, art, and humanity. Eido is an independent production by the Graduate Student Association of Trinity Western University and features profiles, interviews, and discussions with graduate students, faculty, and other members of the wider TWU community.
We are joined virtually by TWU grad student Kristen Tideman who is finishing her final research project for TWU's MAIH program. Kristen joined us to discuss her research in the areas of Christian deconstruction and the relationship between mainstream Chrisian communities as the "ivory tower" of academia.
Amanda Birkenstock is a TWU alumni who recently graduated with her MBA. I had a quick conversation with her where we discussed her interesting childhood, how she ended up at TWU, and how she's been involved in TWU's efforts to include overseas students in its MBA program.
Marcus Wang is a Graduate Student in the MAIH program at TWU. Marcus' research interests range from Catholic theology and thought to Chinese philosophy. Marcus is joined by Eido veteran Benjamin Birkenstock to discuss his life, personal philosophical journey, and relationship with Thomas Aquinas.
Ryan Funkhouser is a graduate student in Trinity Western University's MAIH program. Ryan joins Dryden virtually to discuss the unexpected evolution of political discourse on social media and how the internet exploits innate cognitive functions in the human brain.
Katie Austring joins Dryden virtually all the way from California to discuss her uniquely multicultural upbringing, exploits in the world of Psychology, and ultimate decision to do her MA in Biblical Studies at TWU.
Dryden is joined virtually by Dr. Myron Penner, a professor of Philosophy at TWU. Dr. Penner addresses questions that have been sent in by TWU students about God, aliens, and the plausibility of various conspiracy theories.
