Parenting is synonymous with provisioning for our families, necessitating a lot of foresight. On this episode of A Brothers Creed Podcast we talk about some of the trends in the male improvement space that we love and that we hate. As contributors to the narrative of how men and others can be more fulfilled, motivated, and disciplined, we have seen a wide range of ways that coaches and influences go about doing that. Some of these tactics and teachings are good and we preach them ourselves but some approaches and attitudes we disagree with. We both go through 2 or more things that have inspired us and then we go through 2 or more attitudes and teachings we have seen that we believe are toxic. We give it to you straight and you can be the judge on whether you think we are right or misguided.

On this episode of A Brothers' Creed Podcast we take time to explore some of the wild news and theories about what is going on with the UFO/UAP phenomenon in the world right now. We discuss recent news stories were a government official has discussed secret military programs that recovers crashed alien crafts. There has even been an instance where a family in Las Vegas has claimed that a UFO crashed in their back yard and they witnessed 8 foot tall creatures in their back yard. It wasn't exactly that "Signs" moment we all hoped for with captured footage of an alien, but it is interesting nonetheless. To top it off Jared talks about a wild Conspiracy theory people seem to be talking about a lot these days called Project Blue Beam. This theory is from a writer who predicted a false UFO attack in the year 2024 to convince people to give up their freedoms for security once again, we have certainly seen that type of action before.

On this Episode of A Brothers' Creed we review what is being called the American Chernobyl. The train derailment of 11 train cars in East Palestine, Ohio that contained cancerous causing toxic Vinyl Chloride. After the train was derailed to a supposed bad wheel bearing that could not control the leaking of these toxic chemicals onto the ground. After 3 days they "feared" that the tanks would explode so they released the full contents out of the tanks and lit it on fire with the hopes to fully combust and breakdown the chemical. Did it work? Should the residents be worried about the plumes of toxic black smoke and cancer causing chemicals being seeping into the ground water, or should the believe the government and Norfolk Southern, the company that owned the train? Maybe only time will tell.

On this special episode of A Brothers' Creed Podcast we do a theatrical telling of two stories of brothers. We celebrate the bonds of brotherhood and tell the stories of two sets of brothers from history that will inspire and entertain you. Jared first tells the story of the Montgolfier brothers who were the original inventors of the hot air balloon. They invented the first hot air balloon that allowed men for the first time in known history to break the bonds of earth and soar to the sky. The story talks about their discovery of the hot air balloon science, up to the first untethered manned flight in Paris. Ethan then shares the story of Frank and Jesse James. These notorious outlaws had a troubled past together but all along the way they supported and leaned on one another. They later in life they became bank and train robbers who pulled off many heists. Through the thick and thin of that lifestyle they stood together and perhaps helped fake one brothers death in order to escape the law. On this Episode of A Brothers' Creed Podcast we break down the virtue of kindness. Especially during this holiday season, cheer and giving are in the air. Happiness and a lighter feeling seem to be all around. This is a great opportunity to develop kindness. Kindness is the deliberate consideration to help others. The opposite of kindness is cruelty which is the willingness to cause harm or suffering to others. There are seeming pros and cons to being kind. It can improve our mental and physical health, build stronger relationships, and even lead to professional success. On the contrary, if we are constantly sacrificing our own needs and wants for others, we may not be able to take care of ourselves properly, leading to negative consequences for our own well-being. Join us as we learn how to implement kindness into our own lives and we build our creeds together.

On this episode of A Brothers' Creed Podcast we interview Rishi and Lisa Desai who have been fostering children for for about 2 years now. The need for good parents to temporarily care for displaced children has never been higher. There are nearly 400k children in the U.S. in the foster system every year. Lisa and Rishi passionately discuss how they got into fostering, and what the initial onboarding and approval stages look like. We pepper them with questions about how placements are made, how placements are determined, how involved the foster parents need to be with the court process, and many more questions. Lisa's passion for this subject and love for all children really shine through in the way she talks about the good she has seen come of even little actions to uplift these children. Rishi explains the challenges that can arise when a child is confused, angry, or upset about his/her situation. As a foster parent you want to protect the child as much as possible from the dark truth of the situation without being untruthful in your explanation. Ultimately we round out the episode by talking about the many different ways people can become involved with helping children in need.
I cannot help but think of Mathew 25:40 after this conversation:
".... Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me."
Helping the most innocent and helpless of gods children among us is a noble work indeed.

What are some must have accessories on a rifle or pistol? - Magazines, weapon light, load-bearing belt, holster, magazine holder. - Optic, sling, waist or chest load bearing rig.
How much ammunition should you have on hand? - Minimum is 10 magazines' worth of ammo, but as much as you can afford. - Treat is like the grocery store does their shelves, have ample on-hand and resupply when you use some.
Should you store your mags loaded? - With very few exceptions, yes. Magazines are a depreciable resource, regardless of caliber. - Keep malfunctioning magazines for training purposes.

On this episode of A Brothers Creed Podcast we speak about the benefits of being confident and the harm it can have when taken to the point of arrogance. On this episode of A Brothers' Creed we discuss the importance of self-awareness in our lives. Being in self-aware in the modern age is incredibly important, between micro and macro aggressions it is easy unintentionally offend someone. That does not mean we need to always walk on eggshells, but it is important to understand the impact our words and actions may have on others. We discuss how being self-aware makes people more fulfilled, more confident, better communicators, better leaders, more honest, and have better relationships. We share stories and talk about how not to be "that guy". You know, the one who clips his toenails in the middle of the office, while his fish is cooking in the microwave. Self-awareness and acting with intention, enables us to become better people and improves the lives of those around us.
“If you shoot at a target over and over again without checking where you are hitting you will never be able to make the appropriate adjustments to hit the intended spot. Through self-awareness we can be more intentional about our actions to become the person we want to become.” -Jared Thomas
“Be cognizant of how your actions affect those around you. Learn to speak with people in a considerate way and be willing to take criticism from those you care about.” -Ethan Thomas

On this episode of A Brothers' Creed Podcast we talk about how the world sees humility as a weakness but we prove how it can be an attribute of strength. We compare and contrast the worlds definition on humility to our own. We share personal experiences of how being humble and grateful are truly the twin characteristics of happiness. We share historic examples of humble men who despite great achievements did not pridefully boast of their accomplishments. Developing humility can be challenging in such a competitive world but without it we lose site of our humanity. Fostering humility within ourselves and our families will fortify us against the negative influences of society.
“When there is a lack of humility it can lead to pride and judgement. This can lead to anger and the destruction of relationships.” - Ethan Thomas
” Humility is the doorway and pride is the door. By removing pride and great pearls of wisdom will enter your life by the mouth of others and by the mouth of god. The more you can get that door out of the way the more blessings and wisdom can enter your life” - Jared Thomas

These formative years of a young man’s life need to be shaped by an environment where they are influenced by positive role models and given opportunities to have fun and grow. We talk about how Scouting should be a supplement to fatherhood and is not a replacement for being a well-rounded dad. At the end of the episode, we give an overall verdict on whether the program is worth it for young men these days.

Correctly fathering children in today’s world can be a complex and difficult target to hit. In this Episode we discuss 3 principal questions about fatherhood. First, what is the main goal of a fatherhood? Second, what characteristics do good fathers have? Thirdly, how do I become a better father to teach and lead my children? Joins us as we share stories and experiences from our childhood and now as fathers. This episode aims to build our CREED so that we can raise children who will positively impact the future.
Quotes from the Brothers on Fatherhood:
"A father’s role is to plant the seeds of character into the hearts of his children and provide an atmosphere where those seeds can grow. Then it is to empower them with grit and self-confidence to continue to grow those seeds. When those children leave the home, they won’t have full grown trees but they will know how to grow the saplings they have." – Jared Thomas
"What we say matters, what we do matters, but what we need to understand is that their lives and futures are in our hands. Your best is all they can ask for but our everything is what we have to give."- Ethan Thomas
