The show is hosted by Dr. Alan Dayhoff, founder and Executive Director of Evangelize Today, a unique evangelism coaching ministry, based in suburban Washington, DC. ET was born out of Al’s shocking transformation from preacher behind the pulpit to pastor in a Blues bar. Harris Bond co-hosts the Explorer. What are some "top ten" hindrances to being "in evangelism"? This episode is inspired by behind the scenes conversations with our evangelism residents. In no ranking order, here are the top ten hindrances & opportunities for evangelistic witness:
1) The Occupied Space of the Evangelizer - Absence of a "Parish Model" of pastoring non-Christians in the wild/
2) The Occupied Space of the Evangelizer - No incremental ways into the wild.
3) The Occupied Space of the Evangelizer - Not knowing the baby steps to take it slow.
4) Igniting Fuel of the Evangelizer - Absence of "energy of discovery"
5) Igniting Fuel of the Evangelizer - Little curiosity that ignites curiosity in evangelism
6) Emotional Health of the Evangelizer - Inability to Listen to Hear
7) Emotional Health of the Evangelizer - Worn down and trapped
8) Not experiencing your anointing in the Wild
9) No Encouragement and Formation from a Team of Fellow Explorers
10) Absence of a Praying Model

When James Dickson planted Christ Church PCA they did just such a thing with Michael Davis, enabling them to lean into their gifting with re-wired expectations and freedoms.
