Word Bible Study with Pastor Dan. I'm Pastor Dan Tackett, the youth pastor at Pineview Church in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Started this podcast in 2020. In the beginning, I was just recording Bible studies at home. Then I began a Bible study group where I started recording them and posting it onto this podcast. Since then, God has opened several doors in my life. Now I'm one of the pastors at Pineview Church. And everything that I post now in the podcast are my sermons that I either give to the youth group or to the entire congregation. “The Power of Pentecost” by Pastor Dan Tackett. This message comes to us on Pentecost Sunday 2026. The sermon is a reminder of the power that we have because of Pentecost. It was on the Day of Pentecost that the Holy Spirit was dumped out on the believers in the Upper Room. That same Holy Spirit is being dumped out on us today, and we need to walk in the power that it brings.
“Best Return Policy” by Pastor Dan Tackett. In today's sermon, we're going to look at the story of the Prodigal son. In this story, the son takes his father's inheritance, all his blessing, but no longer wants to be around him and moves to a faraway land. He later comes to his senses and realizes he needs his father and when he returns his father is waiting for him with open arms and kisses him and tells him he loves him. The Story represents the God that we serve and how great His love is for us. He has the best return policy.
“The Promise of Revival” by Pastor Dan Tackett. In the book of Joel in the Bible God tells us that He will pour out His Spirit on all men. This Is a promise in the Word of God that we can stand on. God is in the business of doing revival. So how can we maintain revival in our lives? That is exactly what we're going to be talking about today. “United with Love” by Pastor Dan Tackett. In this service, we are celebrating Good Friday, the day when our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ shed His blood for the remission of our sins. I never want to forget why Jesus went through all of that suffering and it was because He wanted to unite us with His love. The love of Jesus is what attracts the world and makes everything better. Love covers a multitude of sin. God is love. We want to unite with that love.
“The War is Over” by Pastor Dan Tackett. In today's episode, we're going to hear a story about. A war hero from World War Two who stayed hidden in the jungle for 30 years because he didn't believe Japan had surrendered. I believe so many times in our life we are like this soldier, and we fight battles in our life that the enemy has convinced us we have to fight. We don't realize that we already have the victory through the blood of Jesus Christ. To celebrate with us today that the war is over.
“Anything is Possible” by Pastor Dan Tackett. Our theme and Pineview youth for 2026 is anything is possible. I'm excited to see what God is going to do in this year, and it's important for me to remember that with God, all things are possible. So, let's prepare for an amazing year and keep reminding ourselves all year long so that we can see God do incredible things in our life.
“Christmas Lights” by Pastor Dan Tackett. This episode was taped right before the holiday season, when everyone loves to drive around and look at all the beautiful Christmas lights. As believers, we are told by Christ that we are the light of this world, and I want to remind everyone this holiday season to be Christmas lights in your community.
“Construction on the Inside” by Pastor Dan Tackett. So many times, in our life we want God to fix all the stuff on the outside of our life, but we must remember that we serve a God who loves to clean the inside of the cup first. We should be happy to know and hang a sign around our neck that says we are under construction on the inside.
“Fan the flames" by Pastor Dan Tackett. In this episode we're going to be looking at the Second book of Timothy where Paul tells him to fan the flames inside him. In the previous episode I should talked about how we have a fire inside of us, but we need to fan those flames so that we can catch the world around us on fire for Jesus.
“The Fire Inside You” by Pastor Dan Tackett. 2000 years ago, Jesus Christ died on the cross and resurrected from the grave to build his church on earth. He did not leave us alone, but he sent the Holy Spirit in the form of flames of fire to give us power to witness to everyone to the ends of the earth. I want to remind you in this episode that you have a fire inside you.
“Renew Your Mind” by Pastor Dan Tackett. We all have problems in our life. So many times in life we try to solve the problems on the Outside, but we serve a God who wants to solve the problems on the inside first. The Bible tells us to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. If you want to transform your life you need to renew your mind through the power of the Holy Spirit.
"One Day with Jesus" by Pastor Dan Tackett. The Bible tells us that one of the titles for God is Jehovah Rafah which means the Lord is our healer. Today we're going to look at the first day that Matthew spent with our savior Jesus Christ. We're going to learn that all it takes is one day with Jesus to change our life forever.
"Priceless Treasure" by Pastor Dan Tackett. In the bible Jesus tells us that the kingdom of God is like a man who found a treasure in a field and went and sold everything he had so that he could buy the field. The question that today's podcast ask is are we really treating the Kingdom of God like the treasure or the priceless Pearl that Jesus told us it is. "Bring them to Jesus" by Pastor Dan Tackett. The Bible tells us we are to love our neighbors as we love ourselves. We live in a world that is full of hurt and broken people. If we really love our neighbors, we want to help them. The only way to help anyone in this world is this bring them to Jesus. Just like the friends in the Bible who tore the roof off the house to lower their friend in front of Jesus to heal him, we need to help people around us by loving them enough to bring them to Jesus.
“I See You” by Pastor Dan Tackett. In this episode we're gonna look at a passage from the book of genesis where Hagar refers to God as the God who sees me. Wherever you are whatever you're going through today I want to reassure you that there is a God who sees you and hears your prayers and is willing to answer them. We have a God who loves us and even the hairs on our head have been numbered. The Bible says that before we were even born He knew our name and He loves us and cares for us and is paying attention to everything that we do. So we should be worshipping and praising him with every breath we have.
“Turning Curses into Blessings” by pastor Dan Tackett. In this episode we're gonna look at a story from the life of King David at a point in time where his son was overthrowing him and he was running from the Kingdom and being cursed by some random guy on the side of the road. King David says some wise words in this passage where he says maybe God will bless me tomorrow for putting up with this curse today. We need to realize that we can actually turn curses into blessings when we put them in the hands of an all powerful God.

If you're on YouTube and you type in would you rather you will find some videos where you can pick between multiple things and decide which one you would rather have. Fun life we are faced with the same choices we get to choose every single day whether we would rather have life or death according to the word of God. So today this pastor brings you a simple question would you rather.
“Praise the King” by Pastor Dan Tackett. In today's episode we're going to look at the difference between praise and worship. Worship is acknowledging who God is but praise is acknowledging what he has done. The greatest thing we can do is praise the king so let's talk about what the king has done not only in the Old Testament but also in the New Testament and let everyone say praise the king. 2
“Keys to Graduation” by Pastor Dan Tackett. In this episode we were going to talk about the graduates in our church that are going on to future adventures. And we as a church are also called to graduate from different things that God has put in our lives and to move on to other adventures that he's called us to. We are going to go and win the world just like Jesus Christ told us to.
"Not my will" by pastor Dan Tackett. Three of the most powerful words ever uttered by our Lord and savior Jesus Christ was “not my will”. It was important that he not do what his flesh wanted him to do but to do what his father had called him to do. In our lives it is the same, we have to deny ourselves and say “not my will but thy will be done”.
“Who Do You Want to Be” by pastor Dan Tackett. There's a very cool game that we used to play when we were kids and it was called guess who and you got to pick whichever character you wanted to be and the other people had to figure out who you were by eliminating the people on their board. The Bible also tells us that we have free choice, and we can choose to be whoever we want to be. Hope this message encourages you to choose who you want to be wisely and be the child of God that he's called you to be.
"Catching Fire" by Pastor Dan Tackett. In this episode pastor is going to encourage us that we should be on fire for Jesus. Jesus great gave us a great command that we are to go and to make disciples baptizing them in his name. The best way for us to encourage others to give their life to Jesus is for us to be fully submitted to Jesus Christ and on fire for his Kingdom. I hope this message will fan the flames inside your bones so that you will go and win this world for Him.
Mountain vs a Molehill by Pastor Dan Tackett. In this episode we're going to be looking at the difference between a mountain and a molehill. Sometimes in life the enemy tries to convince us that what we're going through is the biggest mountain that we've ever faced in our life. We need to be wise enough to think about whether or not this really is a mountain or molehill, and even if it is a mountain we know that our God can help us throw that mountain into the sea.
“Time for Jesus” by Pastor Dan Tackett. In the beginning of our Bible in genesis we have the account of God's creation of the universe and of the earth and then the first thing that he creates for mankind is time itself. in today's sermon I want to ask a very simple question if God made time for you are you making time for God. We spend our time on a lot of things in this day and age, but nothing is better than spending your time with Jesus.
“Awake O Sleeper” by Pastor Dan Tackett. Ephesians 5:14 says Awake O Sleeper, rise up from the dead and Christ will give you light. If you take a second to look around, you'll notice that a lot of the world is asleep. Their sleep to the things of Christ and to the things that God wants them to be doing. In this episode I'm going to be encouraging you to arise and wake up O sleeper. God wants to use you to do amazing things in this world all we have to do is wake up and keep our focus on Him.
“Seeing Clearly” by Pastor Dan Tackett. In this episode we're going to hear a sermon based out of the book of mark chapter 8. In this portion of scripture, we see the Lord Jesus dealing with his disciples and how they see things. In the process he heals a blind man's eyes who says that he can see but he sees people like trees and Christ lays his hands on his eyes again and this time he sees clearly. Today, it is so important that we see clearly both in physical life but also in the spiritual realm.
“Hold on to Your Blessing” by Pastor Dan Tackett. In this episode we're going to look at how blessed of the life we live and how we need to hold on to that Blessing. In genesis we hear a story about Jacob wrestling with the Angel of the Lord until he receives the blessing. We know that God is a God of a seed who likes to watch things grow in our life the problem is that we've run out of patience in the middle of the wrestling match and don't hold on to our blessing. “The Best Year Ever” by Pastor Dan Tackett. This is my first sermon in 2025. I'm trying to encourage my youth group to make plans to have the best year ever. We all want to do amazing things and have an amazing life, but we can't do this without thinking about it and planning for it and doing things that are going to help us achieve this goal. We're going to start planning for the best year ever by praying more, by going to church more, and by becoming closer to Jesus Christ. Let this minister to your heart today and I hope you have the best year ever.
“Living Thankful” by Pastor Dan Tackett. Here at Pine View, yes, we just finished celebrating Thanksgiving Day. But I'm here to remind us that we don't stop being thankful just because we're done celebrating Thanksgiving. The Bible calls us to live a life that's full of Thanksgiving. We must adjust our mindset to not look at the things that we want and desire, but to look back at the things that God has given us. I hope this moves your heart as you listen and enjoy.
"Hungry for His Righteousness" by Pastor Dan Tackett. The Bible tells us that if we hunger and thirst after righteousness, we shall be filled. But it we should not be seeking after our own righteousness, but we know it's his righteousness that we should be seeking. The question that I asked today is, are we really hungry for His righteousness? We should start praying and fasting so that we can become hungry for His righteousness, and we will be filled.
“I Am Not Alone” by Pastor Dan Tackett. The Word of God tells us that He will be with us and that He will go before us. It's good for us to remember this promise and to look at things the spiritual point of view and see that God's army is on our side. I am not alone. If we expect God to go before us and be with us always, we first must come to Him. Jesus said, “Come unto me all who are weary, and I will give you rest”. So come to him and you can say “I am not alone”.
When a Real King wears a fake Crown by Gavin Warman. In this episode we're going to learn about King Charles and King Charles the 2nd and how all of the crowns had been ruined and they had to make replica crowns. We're going to compare that to Jesus Christ wearing a crown of thorns even though he is the King of kings. Let the Holy Spirit minister to your heart as you listen and enjoy.
The Power of the Holy Ghost by Pastor Dan Tackett. Romans 8:11 tells us the Spirit of God who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you. I think it's time for the church to realize that we have a superpower in us. A power to heal the sick. The power to speak in tongues. The power to cast out demons. A power to witness and spread the good news to the whole world.
Stay Out of the Shadows by Pastor Dan Tackett. In Psalms 23 tells us yay. Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil. In this study, we're going to look at the shadow of death. There are things in this life that don't kill us right now, but eventually they will kill us, and that is living in the shadow of death. Jesus told us that we are the light, so it's time for us to come out of the shadows.
“Reverence” by Pastor Dan Tackett. In this episode, we're going to be taking a look at the word reverence and what that looks like in our life towards God. The Bible tells us that we should fear the Lord. We know that this doesn't mean that we should be afraid of the Lord, but that we should have such a great respect and awe of Him. “Building a Hedge Protection” by Pastor Dan Tackett. Here at Pine View Church, Ypsilanti, Michigan, this is our back-to-school service. In this service, we like to pray over all our students to give them some protection they need as they head into the school year. In the book of Job, we read that Satan couldn't touch Joe because God had put a hedge of protection around him. Later in the Bible, Moses's mom realizes something special in her baby, so she builds a hedge of protection around it in the form of a basket and sends it down the river.
Armor Up by Pastor Dan Tackett. It's time for us to get ready to go back to school and start a whole new season here at Pineview Youth. But before we go back, we're gonna put on some armor. In this episode, we're going to be exploring the armor of the Lord and how important it is for us to survive the schemes of the enemy.
Fill the house by Pastor Dan Tackett. In the Bible, Jesus commands us to reach all men with the gospel message. We are told to bring the gospel to the ends of the earth and to tell it to everyone. It's time for us Christians to start to fill the house. And the book of Acts, when the house was full and everybody was in one mind and one accord, the Holy Spirit swept in. If we want the Holy Spirit to sweep into our lives today, we need to try and fill the house.
“Where's the Rizz” By Pastor Dan Tackett. We know that the Bible commands us to go and make disciples of all men. We also know that the Bible tells u The world will know that we are Christ disciples by how we love one another. So as Christians we need to be attractive to the world and the only way that we are going to be is by the amount of love that we show. We need to ask ourselves, where's our rizz.
“In the Masters Hands” By pastor Dan Tackett. In the Bible we find several passages that refer to us as the clay and to God as the Master Potter. In today's lesson, we're going to pose the question, what kind of clay are you in God's hands? Are you easy to mold and flexible and allowing the Holy Spirit to dictate your life? Or are you living to your own desires and being hard for God to mold into something beautiful?
Today's episode is a Bible study in our youth group by Morgan Andrews, all about forgiveness. The Bible tells us how important it is for us to be forgiven and to forgive. We're going to look at several passages in the Bible that confirm how important forgiveness is in our life. Forgiveness is not just for other people, but it's actually to help us.
Clean Room by Pastor Dan Tackett. All of us in our life have experienced times where we have a clean room and we have times in life where we have a really messy room. We know the Bible tells us that our body is a tent, just like a small room that we're staying in until we can reach heaven for an eternity. Let's go to the word of the Lord and see what Jesus has to say about cleaning the inside of the cup.
New Life by Pastor Dan Tackett. The Bible tells us that if we belong to Christ, the dead is gone and the new has begun. We are a new creation in Christ Jesus. Find you use Just got back from his annual summer camp at the Camp New Life. We baptized six of our youth groups there and we are celebrating the beginning of this new life. Let's go to the word of the Lord and take a look at what this new life should actually look like.
“Great Expectations” by Malachi Lock. We are getting ready for camp season here at Pineview Youth, so in this sermon we're going to be encouraging the youth to have the right attitude in life to get the most out of it. Jesus wants us to live a blessed life, and a lot of this has to do with our expectations. Faith is the substance of things hoped for. So, if we want great faith, we need to have Great Expectations.
“Getting to know God” By Pastor Dan Tackett. Today's Bible study, we're gonna be talking about getting to know God for yourself. There's nothing better than having a personal relationship with the God who created the universe. That is exactly why Christ came to the earth and died, so that we could have a personal relationship with the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. In today's study, we're going to take a look at what it looks like to get to know God.
“The King's Image” by Pastor Dan Tackett. The Bible tells us that we were created in the image of God. I know this doesn't mean that I look just like he looks, but that I am supposed to bear his image. In Corinthians it tells us that we are Christ ambassador to the world around us. That means you are the only Christ that this world is gonna see. So, we need to reflect Him so that the world can see Him.
“Crazy pets”. In this episode, we're going to be listening to a sermon where I'm going to give an illustration about Sin being a crazy pet that some people keep in their life. The Bible tells us That the enemy Satan is roaming about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may destroy. So what does Satan use to destroy us? The answer is sin. The wages of sin is death, So it's important for us to identify sin and eliminate it from our lives. The Bible tells us that Jesus Christ. Came and died to forgive our sins. And that if we confess our sins, He's faithful and just to forgive all unrighteousness.
“The Value of Jesus” by Pastor Dan Tackett. We know that Jesus is our Healer and our Savior and our Waymaker, but do we really see Him for the value of who he is? Do we value him more than the things of this world? We see in the Bible where Jesus supplies for all the needs for His disciples and everyone He comes in contacts with, but do they value the things that He gave them more than Him? Let's let the Holy Spirit guide us today as we listen and enjoy and see the true value of Jesus.
“Gideon” by Pastor Nan Nix. In this episode, we're going to be looking at the life of Gideon in the book of Judges from the Bible. We see in the Bible that Gideon was not a special man, but when he obeyed the voice of God, he did amazing things. We can also be like getting in our lives if we learn to listen to the voice of God.
Hearing God's voice. Today in this episode, we're going to be talking about hearing God's voice. The Bible tells us that His sheep will hear His voice and know His voice. Are we really hearing Jesus's voice today? There are three ways that we can hear the voice of God. One is through the man of God. Two is through the Bible. And three is through the Holy Spirit in our own heart. All three of these should be speaking the same thing in your life. The question we're going to ask today is, are we listening to those voices in our life?
“Living in the Promise” by Pastor Dan Tackett. In this podcast, we're going to take a look at the children of Israel when they show up at the edge of the Promised Land. In this story we see that because of the giants who lived in the land, they allowed their fear to push them back into the wilderness and not go into and possess and live in the promised land. So many of us are like the children of Israel, where we show up to the promises that God has for our life, but we don't go in and live in them. Today I hope you find encouragement to stop visiting the Promised Land and actually start living in the Promised Land.
“Nineveh” by Andrew James. Today we're going to be talking about Jonah and the Whale, but more especially the city of Nineveh. The Bible tells us that Jonah was rebellious against the word of God and went in the opposite direction of where God told him to go. And we know that God sent a fish to swallow Jonah, and God had compassion on Jonah and allowed the fish to spit him on the land so that he could go to the city of Nineveh and minister there. We also see how God has mercy on the city of Nineveh. Even though it was a wicked and crazy city God still loved them and had compassion for them. That's our job, to spread the Word of God to the entire world.
“Enough Faith” by Judah Gonzalez. We know that the Bible tells us that everyone has given a measure of faith. Is that enough? When we're facing giants or having to step out on the water or in the middle of a storm, do we have enough faith to keep calm and keep our focus on Jesus. When a loved one gets sick, do we have enough faith to lay hands on them and believe that they will Be here? Let's study today and see how we can increase our faith so that we have enough faith.
“How to heal a broken wing” by Pastor Dan Tackett. I'm sure everybody listening to this episode has been hurt in one way or another. We all have had to taste pain in our life. What do we do about that pain? We know that we can't just hold on to pain and hurt because it will cause bitterness and Hatred to grow in our lives. We're going to take a look in the Bible to see several passages that show us what to do with the pain that we feel in this world. Jesus Christ is the bomb of Gilead, the only Healer, and Master Physician. This episode is going to encourage you to turn to Christ and let him take that pain out of your life today.
“Roman Faith”. This whole year we've been talking about leveling up, and now we're going to be talking about leveling up our faith. Bible tells us that faith, the substance of things hoped for, and the evidence of things not yet seen. I believe that we Christians think that faith is something that we can use to get things that we want. I want to challenge us to be believers that use our faith to tell us who God is. Faith is only strong when it's based on the word of God. So, let's go into the word of God together and look at how we can take our faith to the next level by having Roman Faith.
“Unstoppable prayer”. This episode we're going to be talking about prayer. Not just any prayer, but prayer that is unstoppable. The only way to have prayer that is unstoppable is to pray the way that Jesus wanted you to pray. So, we're going to look in the Bible to see what Jesus said about prayer. “CommUNITY Revival” by Pastor Dan Tackett. Over this past weekend, we've been having revival at Pineview Church in Ypsilanti, MI. In this episode we are going to ask the question, what is revival? Revival is not the place. It's not the time. It's not an event that we throw. Revival is in the heart. Revival is when you choose life over death. Jesus Christ is the only life in this world. And if we really want community revival, we need to choose Him.
“Positive Fasting” by Pastor Dan Tackett. In the Bible, the Lord commands us to fast. Jesus even says that one day when he's gone, we will fast. I think it's pretty important then, that we understand and have a good concept of what fasting is. This episode we're going to be studying fasting, so open your Bible and study along with us. Next level thinking. In the previous episode we talked about new year, new levels. Today we're going to talk about what it looks like to reach these new levels through new level thinking. The Bible tells us that we have the mind of Christ, so we can understand what he has planned for our life. “New Year New Levels”. As Christians, we serve the God of a seed. In the beginning, he created everything to reproduce after itself bearing seeds, so He's a God who likes to see us grow. Today I'm going to pose this simple question to everybody who listens to this podcast; Are you growing in Christ? Was kicked off a new year, and this is a perfect time to reach new levels in Christ. "God is with us". We are getting close to the Christmas season, and we hear the story of the birth of Christ. One part of this story is the fact that they refer to him as Emmanuel, which means God with us. So today we're going to look at just what that looks like. Who exactly is this God that is with us? We know that this is the same God in the Bible. So, we are going to talk about some of the wonderful things that he did in the Bible and that he will do for us today Because God is with us.
Seeing Jesus. We've been doing this series leading up to Christmas all about finding, searching, and looking and seeing Jesus. In our last episode, we talked about how the word shows us Jesus if we're really looking for him. Today I want to show us how we can use the word of God to really see Jesus. I don't want to wait to get to heaven to get to know Jesus. I want to get to know him right now so I must study the word of God so that I can see him.
“Looking for Jesus” by Pastor Dan Tackett. In John Chapter 7, Jesus tells the Pharisees that one day they will look for him and not be able to find him. And today we have a hard time seeing Jesus physically, so we're going to go on a study together to find out how we can find Jesus when we're looking for him. We're not going to go looking for the living among the dead, but we're going to search the living word of God.
"Searching for Jesus" By Pastor Dan Tackett. In this episode we are starting a four part series leading up to Christmas all about looking and finding Jesus. In the Bible, Jesus tells the group of people that one day they will look for him but not be able to find him. Today we are living in that type of day where we can no longer see Jesus physically, but we know that he lives inside of us. So how can we show people around us Christ today? Because if they're not careful, they will look for him and not be able to find him.

We know that we are living in the last days, And we know that Jesus Christ is coming again soon So it is important that we study the scriptures. This passage of the story that Jesus tells of the 10 bridesmaids, It's probably more important now than ever before in history. “The Value of a Sign” is the Topic of this Episode. We serve a God That has given us a lot of signs that He is real, but do we take the signs He has given us seriously. It's important we pay attention to the signs God puts in our life if we want to live the best life. God loves us and wants the best for our life, So lets be very careful to follow the signs He has placed in our life.
“Lions, Giants and Bears, Oh My” By Pastor Dan Tackett. This episode is a wonderful sermon all about A man named David. David was known for being a man after God's own heart. We know that David killed Goliath. Before he killed Goliath, he had to also kill a lion and a bear. All the time, knowing in his head that he was anointed to be king. We are also anointed to reign with the King. We need to cut the heads off some of the giants in our life.
“A Heart for God” by Pastor Dan Tackett. We know that David was a man after God's own heart. What does it mean to be a man after God's own heart. The Bible shows us that it is very important the condition of our heart. Before we send our babies off to school we wanted to have a service where we could put a hedge of protection around them. In the Bible the prophet Elijah called down fire to prove to the prophets of bail that he served the one true God. I think it's time that the church starts calling down fire to prove that there is a God still on the throne. The God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob is still alive and well today, so let's use the authority that Jesus Christ gave us to put a hedge of protection around the things that are most precious to us.

Religion itself can be bad and terrible and hurt people if God is not the foundation of that religion. Through our faithfulness to God we can unlock blessings in this life according to the word of God. We know that the Bible tells us we should be like Christ and Christ is the perfect example of faithfulness. The Bible says even when we're not faithful God still faithful.

In this episode we're going to be talking about being desperate for Jesus.
