For real though, I got asked to do a bit of driving by a friend and I agreed to do it but soon realised why I gave that life up. The money is fantastic but it is a dream crushing existence that doesn't mesh well with a balanced home life.

Found a bunch of electronics at the dump that were chock full of copper, aluminium, brass, silver, steel AND GOLD!
Despite what some scrappers will tell you about copper, gold is the scrapper's gold. I mean, it's frigging gold. I have been saving every last bit of gold-bearing scrap that I find and plan on extracting it when I accumulate a life changing amount. Like maybe in three years, when I am down to only owing about $20000 on our home, maybe I will be able to process a few ounces and pay the sucker off.
You never know what might happen in three years.

Do you ever feel overwhelmed? I often do and this is one of the bad parts of having poor organisation skills. I am bad at all organising. I can't organise my time, space, or thoughts. I can somehow still get through life but I'm pretty sure my wife is the main reason for that.
I think that I need to quit going to the dump for a while and get this shit sorted out. My friend who has been promising to get me some of the IBC containers was here yesterday and saw the state of the shop so he now understands the gravity of the situation. He has promised to get them this week. For those that don't know, they are the 1000 litre platic tanks in a steel frame on a steel pallet. I will just cut the tops out and then will be able to have a spot for things that take a long time to accumulate and sort, like circuit boards, aluminum and copper grades, etc.

Okay, you've used your knife to make $10 worth of cords and sold those cords to buy your next tool, a #2 Phillips screwdriver. These are the most used screws for holding electronics together and while you can definitely run into many other types, as far as the odds go, this is your best bet.
Now you can scrap the whole TV and make $5 instead of $.35 for just the cord.
