The Narrative Journey Podcast: Recent Episodes

Valerie

A narrative is more than storytelling, it is an invitation to experience resonance and reflection. An invitation to heal through shared experiences, while also honoring the child-self through the process.

Narrative-storytelling creates the space for people to connect through familiarity and presence. Allowing for the energy and warmth of healing to unfold.

Join Valerie as she walks alongside others through their narrative journey and also shares some stories of her own.

Hey... I'm back!

On this episode I share a mini update and some thoughts on the correlation between productivity and worth...and yes these thoughts got stirred up as I worked to pinpoint how and when I wanted to jump back into recording episodes. Thank you- to those of you that have asked for new content, it is coming!

Also this episode is a little informal, I had the dogs joining in and therefore you might be able to pick up on their sounds in the audio. Enjoy their contribution, as they work very hard over here at the Narrative Journey Podcast.

Today is May 1st, which means it is Mental Health Awareness Month. below I have linked some resources if you want to get in on the discussion and help bring awareness to mental health as a whole.

Grief and loss are heavy experiences to process at any point in life. However, having these experiences at a young age can impact the rate at which one matures while also impacting an understanding of loss and the world at large. Join me as I talk with my guest Winter, about her personal narratives with grief, growth and parenting. Special Note: Without realizing it during our planning, this episode was set to be published on the week of Michael's (Winter's father) birthday. Interestingly enough, I had some tricky issues with audio which were not resolved as quickly as I had planned. At that point I though it was only fitting to wait to officially publish this episode on 2/03/21. Happy Birthday Michael, I am so grateful for the daughter you brought into this world.

Where does your work ethic and motivation come from? What drives you to show up everyday and give your best effort to the things you love and / or your career? Our internal motivators can be vey personal. They can also give us a peek into the narratives we learned around effort, hard work and drive. Join me as I chat with a special guest about about work ethic and motivation.

As a side note: this guest did not want an intro bio and we could only share a few details about his career, but the intro turned out to be silly and a good snapshot of our interactions.
