Pastor Joseph Joy is a man of God with a great testimony. He was serving the Lord as a missionary in Kolkata, India for 18 years after resigning his job in Doha, Qatar. Pastor Joy is paralyzed from shoulder downwards after a fall in the washroom in 2018. Today he is happily serving the Lord, preaching Jesus from his bed to thousands of people across the World. He lost his wife to cancer last year and has a son and daughter.

1.Exercising CAUTION IN SOCIAL relationships
In todays socially connected world, unless we are extremely cautious in our interactions with the society around us, there are chances of being distracted, psychologically overwhelmed and loose focus from our life’s crucial race to attain eternal life
2.Don’t allow even your own FAMILY to stop you from obeying JESUS
Many people are reluctant to obey and wholeheartedly follow Jesus as they are afraid of being excluded from their own family circle - Apostle Paul writes in Galatians Ch1, v15 onwards - But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb and called me through His grace, 16 to reveal His Son in me, that I might preach Him among the Gentiles, I did not immediately confer with flesh and blood, 17 nor did I go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me; but I went to Arabia, and returned again to Damascus. - Let’s not get excluded from the eternal heavenly family by pleasing the temporary earthly family by disobeying Jesus.
3.Ensure to be under a SPIRITUAL COACH who can give you personal spiritual care, who is well versed in Biblical doctrines and led by the Holy Spirit
As we read in Eph. 4 v11 onwards that Jesus Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors (shepherds of the flock) and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the [e]edifying of the body of Christ, 13 till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; 14 that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting,
4.Attain spiritual UNITY in your body, soul and spirit
Let’s pray and receive the power of the Holy Spirit to attain spiritual unity to propel our spiritual growth and that our God of peace may sanctify us completely; that our whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
5.Walk by FAITH and do not doubt
When Peter’s faith wavered while walking on water, he started to sink , but as soon as he cried “Lord, save me!” immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him - If you are undergoing a phase of wavering faith, call unto Jesus right away and He is faithful to deliver you and set your faithlife back on the rock to stay.
6.Conquer in the battle against THOUGHTS that leads to worry
Today, exercise the God given authority and spiritual weapons to conquer as promised in the scriptures, Power of God will help you pull down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. Do not allow this to progress into the worry phase.
7.Set your mind above on the ETERNAL PRIZE
Don’t set your heart on worldly achievements, instead, like McLaughlin set an example, be enlightened with eternity perspective as Paul wrote to Col. Col. 3: 1. If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. 2 Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. 3 For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.
