Welcome to our podcast on Tent Weddings! If you're getting married in the great outdoors, a tent wedding is the perfect way to celebrate your big day. Not only does it allow you to fully embrace the beauty of nature, but it also provides a unique and customizable space for you and your guests to enjoy. From elegant drapery to rustic lighting, there's no limit to the possibilities when it comes to tent weddings.

A tent wedding can be a beautiful and unique experience, but it is important to consider all the factors before making a decision. With proper planning and preparation, your tent wedding can be a memorable and magical event.

Choosing to have a tent wedding can be a unique and memorable experience, but there are some important factors to consider before making the decision. Firstly, it is important to choose a suitable location for the tent that can accommodate all your guests comfortably. You may need to rent a large enough space or clear an area on your property to host the wedding.

Secondly, you should consider the weather conditions in the area you plan to hold the wedding. Tents can provide shelter from rain or sun, but they can also be affected by strong winds. It is important to have a backup plan in case of extreme weather conditions.

Thirdly, you will need to consider the cost of renting a tent, as well as other equipment such as lighting, furniture, and heating or cooling systems. These costs can add up quickly, so it is important to budget accordingly.

Finally, you may need to obtain permits or permissions from local authorities in order to host a tent wedding. This can vary depending on the location and size of your event, so it is important to research the requirements beforehand.

This your day and a tent wedding can be a magical experience for you and your guests, possibilities are endless. If you are planning a tent wedding, this podcast is for you.

I am 40 and want to celebrate with you! I have been prepping for this moment. Was I prepared, not a chance. I cried the night before and the morning of. Not because I was turning 40 but because of life...the day before was hard and I needed a cry at that moment. What did I do? I told myself, you are 40, own this and do what you know you are capable of doing and do it proudly. I showed up and spoke up. I am proud of myself!

I did not wake up with all of the answers and all of a sudden not care about what people think, but I did prepare myself for a mindset shift. I have been focusing on how I can be a better person, better serve others and love myself more. I have said Yes, to me. When this happens everyone wins.

I want to celebrate you and any age that you are.

In this episode I explore how I mindfully switched my mindset, some fun things I did this past year and what is next. What is next is that I will celebrate and be proud and choose the experiences ahead of me, with the opportunity to learn. I will speak up and wear what makes me feel beautiful. Oh, and I will finally get that one tattoo.

In this episode you'll learn:

  • Celebrate YOU
  • Do what makes you feel great at any age
  • You do deserve (fill in the blank)
  • You are capable of so much more

I believe that one of the hardest things that we may face is learning to love ourselves.

I was talking with a friend and I expressed this without hesitation and it hit me as soon I said it out load.

As each year has gone by I feel that I have become more aware of how I feel and how to reflect on each emotion, and it does get easier, but what I thought is, Why? Why is it so hard for us to believe in ourselves as much as others believe in us, as much as we are capable of loving.

We are given wonderful gifts and we downplay them, do not have the confidence to let them shine, we doubt ourselves, and we fear the unknown.

If we could each love ourselves just a little bit more each day, just think what could happen, how much you would grow and how much the others around you would grow.

Reasons why we have had trouble accepting ourselves may be different from others. We can set a new path.

This year I turn 40 and I do feel stronger than I have before, and also this past year has been one of the hardest. I have grown, I have pushed, I have explored my emotions and how to move forward. It is a conscious thought I take each day.

Make time for yourself, fill your cup....we cannot pour on an empty cup. You deserve the best, you deserve to be wholeheartedly YOU.

In this episode you'll learn:

  • Hardest thing is self-love
  • When you grow, others around you grow
  • Be proud of what you are good at
  • You are not being selfish

We are different and how can we celebrate this and grow?

I am a work in progress and am always growing and so is my husband. I need to understand this more and celebrate his individuality, who he is, who he is growing to be. Who we can continue to become as individuals and together.

I continue to work on how I can support and celebrate his hobbies. They may not always be what I enjoy to do, but they energize him and we are different.

To give all and freely is 100%. It is my goal to give 100%. Do I every day, no, but I hope to and am seeing how I can do better each day. What can I do for him?  What can I do for my children? What can I do for my employees? It is all part of the same process. And of course, let's not forget, what can we do for ourselves?

How can I fulfil his dreams today? When I have this mindset it is a better day and our relationship grows.

Meet Shane Partington, Shane has taught me a lot in just this 40 minutes that I was able to connect with her.

We have not had the chance to meet in person, and I am grateful for a mutual friend connecting us and bringing this conversation to you.

Shane is vibrant, encouraging, a mother of three girls and Vice President of Transformation at Stryker, a medical technologies company.

Shane shares her experience as a women, mom and working for her organization for 20+ years.

Shane has taken stock in her life, and decided what works best for her and her family. It is important for her to be a role model for her three daughters, showing them that they can fulfill their dreams personally and professionally. How can we put aside our mom guilt?

As a women in leadership we can face confidence gap. This will create experience gap as we are faced with fear of speaking up. Shane encourages women to speak up. Speaking up gives us exposure and what we have to offer. What do we have to lose? We lose the exposure of our whole self, who we are, our gifts. We have everything to offer. We are worthy.

We are each a work in progress and we can climb together with the support of each other.

What is a Yes Day? If you have not seen the movie, you must watch it. It's a perfect Friday night, grab your family, your favorite dinner (maybe its Friday night, pizza night) kind of flick.

Yes Day starring Jennifer Garner (one of my favs) is full of laughs and much to honestly think about as a parent.

Why do we say no so much? Why do I feel some days that it is all that I am saying.

We surprised the kiddos with a Yes Day.

It was not as epic as it may have been in the movie, but it was epic for us and that is what matters.

Spoiler alert....the Yes Day was more for me, than them. I learned a lot of about myself and what I can do to be more present.

Listen to find out what we did, what I learned and how a Yes Day will be part of our daily ritual.

How can we say Yes so that it matters?

Have a question that I may answer or a future guest?

Email shelleyannshow@gmail.com with questions or topics to be featured in an upcoming episode. I look forward to connecting.

No script, no rehearsed questions, just us and our hearts opening up about our journey together this part year after I was diagnosed with postpartum depression and anxiety.

Part 1 is a self reflection of my journey. If you have not listened to part 1, no worries, you can listen to part 2 prior.

In this episode you will get a chance to meet my husband, my birb (another name for a cute bird), Russell.

This is our story, Russell's story of how watching me go through postpartum depression and anxiety made him feel, what he now knows that he did not know at the time, how he supported me and what he wishes he would have done differently.

This was a new season for both of us, and we got through it together. Was it always easy, not at all.

You are not alone, and you can get help from your partner, family, friends and also seek a medical professional.

Our sweet Caroline was born one year ago. This is just one personal story. There are many stories. You are not alone. I hope to help the fight against any stigmas and for any one to know that there is a community of mothers. Don't hesitate to speak up and get help.

In this episode I share my journey this past year. A year ago I felt lost, alone,  confused of the symptoms, fear, scared...so much was going on while I was wanting to be able to do it all.  I did not feel myself. I know that it is not my fault. I gave birth, I gave life. I knew I just wanted to feel like me.

I have learned so much and I hope you are touched and either this story helps your healing or how to help a friend or loved one.

Meet Nellie Freeborn, it was Nellie's mothers intuition that ultimately led to the official Autism Spectrum Disorder diagnoses when her daughter was 3 1/2, recently celebrating her 8th birthday. It was not a simple path to diagnoses, and she's had to adapt along the way, but most importantly she is not sorry, her daughter has taught the whole family so much.

Nellie had a lot of learning to do, and she has learned to be her daughters' advocate. Nellie has taught me so much.

Nellie shares her heart, her experience and how you can help.

Kelsey surrounded herself with a support system that encouraged her to do it now, take that next step. Why wait?

Kelsey has turned her passion for creating beautiful spaces into a career. She is all in!

Meet Ginger Johnson, master human connector, TEDx speaker, and author, Connectivity Cannon, Why and How to Connect with People on Purpose with a Service Mindset.

This episode is full of energy. You will feel inspired, motivated, and will give you the confidence to look at connecting in a way that will provide you with meaningful relationships to be your best with your personal and professional relationships.

Connecting is not networking (actually Ginger is strongly against that word) or a numbers game. Connecting is quality over quantity. Lets get rid of business card quotas.

Ginger believes connectivity = meeting people with the intent to create and develop meaningful relationships centered in service; magnetic pull; attractive; in person.

Ginger will ask you, Who are your 3am people? Who would pick you up at the airport at 3am?

Let's discover how to connect more confidently and with purpose.

Come along with me as we  hear her journey through practicing gratitude so you can live your best life, and womxwise, an organization that started out as a dream that provides space for your dreams.

What does gratitude mean to you? How can we  each practice gratitude?

Lisa shares her journey and provides simple ways that we can mindfully show gratitude and how great it is. It will truly change your body and mind.  Never mind the science that backs that up.

Meet Geraldine Cole, creator of Instagram page, @imperfectworthybrave.

Two years ago Geraldine started a poem. This poem has become healing and started her journey with creating a space to amplify voices of others. She is a survivor and is playing catch up, learning to love herself.

She shares that we can embrace our true selves, find out who we are and unlearn bad habits by being kinder to  ourselves, and stand by those that support us.  We do not have time to wait for people to like us.

Geraldine encourages us to take more risks. It wont be easy, but this is truly when we learn more about ourselves.

She was an inspiration to me to start my podcast. Her page brings warmth, encouragement, and truth. Thank you!

Amplify your voice - don't stop being you. You deserve to be heard.
