Episode 6 (and 2nd in our series of shorter episodes) is all about the hemline! We travel our way through each decade, starting from the 1920s right up to today, discussing ever-changing skirt lengths . We discover how much of a vital role the economy and mood of the world have on our fashion choices, and we look into George Taylor's theory of the 'Hemline Index'. In our 5th episode (and 1st short episode) we discuss the secret language of the hand fan. Communicating through an accessory was sometimes the only way to flirt or converse with a fellow party guest, and we attempt to dissect the 1797 'Fanology' fan language created by Charles Francis Badini.
