Have you ever heard to the terms egalitarian and complementarian? Are you aware that there is a controversy in some circles about women in ministry? Well, in this episode, Nate and Mark dive right into this topic. It might be a dumpster fire, but we had fun! This one is for the ladies.
This year, Christmas falls on a Sunday and, right on queue, the attendance hall monitors are taking to the internet to remind people that it's Jesus' birthday, and you shouldn't cancel, adjust, or in any way acknowledge that even Christians might not be super excited about spending their Christmas at the church building. It's just one of many ways that churches can ruin the holidays, and turn a time of blessing into a time of cursing...maybe literally. We all think we are right. There is nothing wrong with holding to a set of beliefs, and believing they are the right ones. The problem comes when we make ourselves the standard of what is right. We might be tempted to believe we would never do that, but as Nate and Mark discuss in this episode, we often do it more than we think.

We recognize that sometimes leaving is necessary, even recommended, but even in the best of circumstances, pastors will still be hurt. Sometimes Christians represent themselves as if their lives are better than they actually are. Why do we do that? Why do we feel the need to lie to people? In this episode, Mark and Nate tackle this subject with some humor, but also a serious discussion on why this behavior can cause so much harm, and what to do about it.
