Welcome to The Third Culture podcast, where we like to talk about diversity, inclusion, equity and culture. In this podcast, we focus on real-life personal and organisational challenges big and small: with lots of love, and plenty of humour. All of this in the hope of enlightening and educating- so that we can all live in a better, kinder and more understanding society. Join me, your host, Emily Foster, as I take you through my own journey of learning and discovery, and as I interview people from all walks of life and backgrounds who perhaps haven’t had as much of a voice as they deserve. We believe that most issues don't have binary answer, so although we’re not perfect we try to avoid sensationalist language. We’re here to talk about the grey and the pink and not just the black and white. This is The Third Culture way, and this is The Third Culture podcast. Music by 8er41 from Pixabay

This is a world that I never really thought about but now, I am becoming more and more familiar with it. And I think it's critical that we understand what has happened and is happening in this space. I learn from Otis and Ashni what the company is doing to improve representation and therefore transform lives more equitably and how they came to do what they do today for their own workplace. Have a listen...

Episode Three of The Third Culture interviews Deepak Sabharwal about his book Courageous Adventure, which tells his life story and experiences as an Indian man who has travelled around the world with his diverse family. It was not so long ago that Deepak experienced discrimination and prejudice in various places, including the UK. His stories are important reminders about how far we have come, but also how far we need to go. Please be aware that this podcast mentions racial slurs and language to tell a story of discrimination which may be disturbing for some listeners.

The Third Culture's inaugural episode interviews Angelo and Joyce from the Pinxy Creatives UK. They tell us about their fascinating backgrounds and the challenges they have faced being actors who don't fit a 'box' in the UK, and they tell us how and why they set up Pinxy Creatives. We hope you enjoy. We only say the 's' word once here so I have put an explicit warning just to be safe, but overall, this is a very wholesome show for anyone who is interested.
