The more we welcome purpose the more we welcome God. Finding your purpose in life and discovering who God is are synonymous. Listen to our latest episode, Reflections, to understand the connection. As we complete our 6 part series on purpose it's more than just a collection of episodes; it's a road map for your spiritual journey. A journey that will transform your life.
Lena and Megan spent the last 6 months providing prayers and practical steps to help you discover and live out your purpose through 4 steps:
Purpose is never for us, it's God using us to bring forth something into the world. What have you been called to bring forth?
Finding your path to purpose is the easiest part of the journey. It’s the walking that’s hard. What separates those who dream about living in their purpose vs those who live from their purpose is in the quality of their walk. Listen to the full episode to discover how to overcome the perils of walking in, living out, and acting on your purpose each and every day.
In this new episode we discover the idea of the simultaneous reaction we get when we accept our purpose but experience resistance as a result of it. In this episode we explore the definition of resistance (noun) "the refusal to accept or comply with something; the attempt to prevent something by action or argument." We found that the resistance is in the acceptance. At times we find ourselves resisting our journey and our process of becoming simply because that journey doesn't always look like where we know we're going to be. Join in and listen to our resistance as we've walked in our purpose.
Our purpose is something we've always innately known. It takes some discovering to uncover but once we do it changes our lives. We get the call to do something with our lives that extends beyond ourselves, it's the call for greater. It's equally terrifying as is exciting but after rock bottom there seems like nowhere else to go but up. In this episode we talk about what the call looked like for us in our journey and give practical tips on what it means to be called by God for more.
As small children we questioned everything. With an inquisitive look we simply ask “why” to just about everything. That powerful question of why allowed us to collect and gather information about the world around us. Nothing was familiar and every new thing we saw we wanted to understand the purpose behind it.
As adults, we sometimes tend to lose our inquisitive nature and accept things as is. We stick to the status quo and begin to answer the famous question of “why” with “because that’s how things just are.” For our latest episode of Where I Hide in my Purpose we discuss the process of discovery after rock bottom. We examine the first two questions God ever asked man that are essential in discovering our purpose. Tune in to this week’s episode to learn about the continuous process of discovering who we are in relation to ourselves, God, and others.
One of the number one questions life coaches, therapists, and pastors get is 'why on earth am I here?" The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren that helps people answer that question has sold 50 million copies in more than 85 languages. From the age of four, we're constantly asked “What do you want to be when you grow up?” In our 20s the road map of life stops after college and we’re expected to just figure it out. In 2021 we examine our own purposes and our journey to find out why we’re here. Lena and Megan are excited to start a 6 part series on Where I Hide in my Purpose tackling the stages of finding and discovering your purpose. What gives us, two twenty something's, the audacity to talk about purpose? Tune in to find out.
The process of becoming is one of the lesser told stories of our lives. We see the posts of these wonderful accomplishments like buying a home, starting a company, landing a job, earning an award, or speaking on a panel but what about the moments in between those milestones? The moments of becoming: where you unlearn unhealthy habits, face past hurts, or deal with rejection? The moments that aren't so share-worthy are the ones that we often need to hear most because those are the ones that we can empathize with. In Episode 5 we get real about how hard those in between moments can be, you won't want to miss this!
