The Greatest Covenant! What do we mean...
We believe that marriage was one of the first covenant’s God made with man and woman, husband and wife, and through this union, we are blessed to have oneness with Him and with each other. But that doesn’t mean that marriage doesn’t come without its difficulties and life struggles. The question is, how do we handle these life struggles and difficulties?
If you are new to marriage, have you ever wondered what your love language is? What is that something that makes you feel loved, or something that you know makes your spouse feel loved? In this episode we delve into the different types of love languages and what each one means in your relationship. We also discuss our specific love languages and how they have impacted our relationship!
Have you ever been at a place in your marriage, when things that used to be one way, change? Like, you're looking at your situation and wondering, when did things take a turn... sometimes for the better and sometimes not so well. In this episode, we talk about how circumstances can cause changes in your marriage and how these changes can affect a relationship. We discusses some of the changes we’ve gone through in our relationship and how God showed us how to walk through each of these changes to come out for the better.
As we go through life, different generations have different experiences. Growing up, we certainly had different experiences from what kids and parents experience today. In this episode, we give a little advice from a Gen X perspective. Join us on this fun episode.
Parenting can be difficult and challenging, but being Godly parents adds a totally different dynamic to parenting. As believers, we strive to be like Jesus in every way, and that same thought process applies to parenting. In this episode, we discuss being Godly parents; truly being led by God when we are rearing our children.
Intimacy. When we think of this word, most times we link it directly to sex. But intimacy is so much more than sex. It’s about developing a connection with your spouse that is greater than just sex. In this episode, we tackle this topic of intimacy and how we had to learn the difference between intimacy and sex, and how it brought a deeper connection to our relationship.
In season one, we did an episode on Love and Respect. It was based on Ephesians 5: 22-33. The focus of that episode was mainly the husband and how he is to love his wife. For this episode, we flip it and chat about the wife and how she is to be an example for her husband. This episode is based on1 Peter 3:1-7.
Do you find yourself having difficult times? At some point, we will all experience difficult situations in our lives. But in those difficult times, are we trusting God? Are we believing that God will help us through these difficult times? In this episode, we talk about what it looks like to trust God when we are experiencing difficult times.
Before we got married, I’m sure we all had our own vision and design for our marriage. We had our own expectations and desires of what we thought our marriage was going to be and look like. We went into it with 20/20 vision. But once we got married, our vision will get more and more blurry to the point of needing visual correction. What is that correction? Well, it’s God. Once we add God to the mix of our marriage, we have perfect vision and will have a clear and precise direction for our marriage. In this episode, we discuss what our vision was for our marriage, but once we added God, our vision changed for the better.
How do we deal with outside influences in our marriages? Outside influences can be work, children, money…anything that can potentially have a negative effect on a marriage. In this episode, we talk about these influences and how we have been able to include them in our relationship in a healthy way.
Happy New Year! In this episode, we will be talking about our goals and desires for 2023, individually, as a couple and for our ministry. God wants to do something miraculously in marriages and relationships and we feel like we can be a catalyst for what He wants. Join us as we discuss 2023 and what our plans will be.
In marriage, communication is absolutely important. However, there may be times that we feel like we are angry and our spouse deserves the silent treatment. We feel that by giving the silent treatment, we may be able to get our point across. But the silent treatment can be detrimental to any relationship. In this episode, we discuss this very topic and how it affected our relationship and the steps we took to ensure we communicate our feelings effectively.
We were so excited to record this episode with our son and his future wife! BJ and Chloe met 3 years ago, and a love story formed. They have been engage for about a year and a half and are on the road to marriage. In this episode, we interview them and get their perspective on being engaged and what they’ve learned about each other, where they are in their relationship with each other, how their relationship with God has grown and what type of advice they would give to anyone that is dating, thinking about marriage, or engaged couples. We believe that in all marriages there is a need for a battle for control. And not the type of control that God had in mind. In this episode, we discuss the need for control between a husband and wife and how it started with Adam, Eve and the enemy and how with that one bite, everything just got all out of whack. We talk about how this need for control affected our relationship and how with God’s help, He helped us to realize we needed to turn our need for control over to Him and let Him run the show.

Communication. How does it work in marriage? How does it change when you get married? Communication is probably one of the most important parts of marriage and in this episode, we are going to talk about how to effectively communicate with each other and communicate in love.
Oneness. What does it mean? What does it mean in marriage? What does it mean in our relationship with Christ? This episode talks about how God gave Cassandra the idea to talk about Oneness and how to have oneness with Christ, oneness with other believers and oneness in marriage. This episode is the lead up to other episodes that are related to oneness and how they can create oneness in your marriage, strengthen oneness or even destroy oneness.
Valentine’s Day is upon us and you know what that means...DATE NIGHT! When you’re dating that’s how you get to know one another, how we WOWED each other, showed each other off. But oftentimes, once the ring is put on the finger, date night seems to go by the wayside. We have new priorities in our lives; kids, bills, jobs...and sometimes we don’t remember to make date night a priority. Why is that? In this episode, we will tackle that very question and give tips and ideas for date night and how to make it a priority and make it as special as when you were dating.
