As part of our #ZeroWasteUAE Social Initiative and Sustainability Tribe Community Events; we had a chance to converse with Plastic Free July Founder Rebecca Prince-Ruiz who is also the Executive Director of Plastic Free Foundation. Rebecca told us how her journey started and it grew into a global movement. Moreover, we discussed how going plastic-free isn't enough and we should also focus on the larger topic of saving natural resources.

Plastic Free July has inspired an estimated 326 million participants in 177 countries. Sustainability Tribe has been supporting Plastic Free July for a few years and spreading the word about this movement in the Middle East.

Read this article, how to beat plastic pollution through simple plastic-free swaps and lifestyle changes.
