For those of you looking for a "one-Meg-movie," you're going to need a bigger boat, my friend! Why only have a water-based monster movie featuring one Meg when you can have THREE? This week the crew and I are putting on our floaties and heading for open water for the return of the Meg in all its big sharky glory. Meg 2: The Trench follows most of our original crew from the first movie, or at least those that didn't wind up as sharkbait (oo-ha-ha), as they once again find themselves with a few prehistoric sharks on the loose. Only this time it's not only big sharks that they find down in the deepest, darkest, depths of the ocean - but a fully functional mining base ran by some lousy group of eco-terrorists! Because, well, of course they would, right? Boasting some CGI and special effects that also feel like they are 65 million years old, gloriously cheesey monster movie one-liners and a jet-ski stunt sequence that you just have to see to believe, Meg 2 is here to feast on some beach-party goers and chum the waters once again! Can Jonas and the team stop their three big sharkies, take down the lousy bad guys and send these bad reviewers back to swim lessons? Tune in to find out!

Y'all, it's 2015. Surely opening up a theme park on an island in Central America that features real dinosaurs can finally be safe. I mean, we all learned our lesson from what happened back in 1993, right? WRONG. Welcome to Jurassic World! After cooking up a brand new attraction in the lab, courtesy of our favorite Dino Geneticist Dr. Henry Wu, things take a turn for the worse. All I can say is bad decision after bad decision leads to the asset finding its way out of containment and into the park. Honestly, the funniest thing is that its never even the dinosaurs' fault that they always keep getting out. It's these freaking people, man! 22 years after the events of the original park, they managed to reopen on the same island, change park to world, rebrand the original logo and open it up to the public. I remember people going absolutely bananas when it was announced that this franchise would be getting revived - including me! If you're new around here, you have to know that Jurassic Park is probably my favorite movie of all time. So, naturally, I was not only excited to see dinosaurs on the big screen again under the classic, Spielberg-esque moniker of "Jurassic," but also to see just where in the dino-creating, egg hatching, dino dung digging world they would go with this one. Can Claire and Owen rescue her nephews, stop InGen's dastardly plans and send these bad reviewers back to containment? Tune in to find out!

I hope you got something pink because to tune into this one you're gonna need it! This week the crew and I venture into parts unknown, well, parts plastic and 2/3 the size of the real world filled with all the colors, that is, with Barbie! While everything seems to be just as it should be in Barbieland, Barbie starts to go through a crisis that may be linked to the real world. This is one hot pink adventure filled with Barbie, Ken, Ken, Barbie, Barbie... oh and that Barbie too, Ken, Ken, Ken, and - Allan, of course! Haha I'm sure y'all never would have thought that the world of BRBR would be talking all things Mattel for a comeback episode, but here we are. I honestly wasn't sure what to expect, but with the wildly successful marketing, fun cast, goofy trailers and their "not-so-secret" plan to mash up with Oppenheimer, we absolutely had to check it out. Featuring extremely colorful visuals, great costumes and a playlist of some incredible original tunes, it's definitley one that made the world want to party with Barbie. Can Barbie find the true meaning of her existence, help Ken see his true "Kenergy" and put these bad reviewers back in their boxes? Tune in to find out!

If you’ve been wanting to walk in the world of monsters and bad reviewers - you’re in the right place! This week we have yet another very special episode as we welcome back a legendary guest of the show’s… and that’s our good monster buddy Big Liz (aka Godzilla). He’s back in one of his better outings with Godzilla: King of the Monsters! With several of his monster friends and foes being released all around the globe, it’s up to a small group of monster hunters and scientists to help G-Man defeat the baddies and reign as king once again. I’ve said it before and I’ll probably say it again and again… I absolutely love monster movies! They are nowhere near perfect or some of the best movies there ever were, but man, they are just so dang fun. This has to be one of my favorite big monster flicks of all time with not only the number of monsters we get to see or the fantastic fights and visuals, but just how well they keep our beloved, big, baddies in the limelight for most of the movie. While some may argue there was no plot, poor dialogue and the worst character development, I just have one thing to say to them - I’m here for the MONSTERS! Can Godzilla defeat Ghidora, reclaim his crown as king and drop a monster royal rumble on these bad reviewers? Tune in to find out!

Wait a minute... New BRBR? Not on a Friday? You're not dreaming, you heard that right! Turns out today is a very special day in the world of BRBR in that it's my birthday! So, wanting to include all of you wonderful listeners who not only make doing this show a true joy but also make it possible, I figured I would drop a surprise bonus episode. This week we are speeding off into the sunset with the latest installment to the DCEU with The Flash! Our hero Barry Allen not only upsets Batman but also disrupts a rift or two in the space time continuum in his efforts to save his mom. It's now up to him and a few, fellow, friendly faces to set things straight once again. While I may not be the biggest DC superhero fan out there, I still found a few things about the film I enjoyed - which is always my goal here at the show! With plenty of people raving about this one as well as just as many giving our superspeedy superhero a speeding ticket, I had to give it a watch and see for myself if worlds truly do collide! Can The Flash regain his powers, save his mom and drop some space timeline spaghetti on these bad reviewers? Tune in to find out!

Look there, in the sky! It's a bird! It's a plane! No, wait... It's actually a Superman movie without "Superman" in the title nor the wildly famous 'Superman Theme!' Although Krypton may be no more after General Zod's attempted coup, we are bringing the most popular Kryptonian there is to the world of BRBR with 2013's Man of Steel. Talk about worlds colliding! Bringing a darker tone to our famed, American superhero, Zack Snyder reintroduces us to the Superman story and introduces us to the one and only Henry Cavill. I'll be honest, I am not a Superman fan and never really have been. But I do see the diehard fans that not only rank this among their favorites in the DCEU but also the Superman movies as well. So I figured I had to drop another certified BRBR First Watch this month and give it a watch. In this one, it's up to our newly minted Superman actor and his shirtless scenes to find his place on Earth and defend its people from Zod and his goons. Despite all of the controversy surrounding Cavill's casting choice, and the overall Superman entry itself, it still brings some solid CGI super-action and is now one of the few DCEU additions from the 2010s that doesn't make me lose my waffles. Can Kal-El save the people of Earth, stop the evil General Zod and flex his shirtless scenes on these bad reviewers? Tune in to find out!

Grab your popcorn, a favorite drink and... Well, just watch where you step with this one! This week BRBR is piecing together one of the biggest animated features from 2014. It's The Lego Movie! It's up to Emmet and his fellow Lego minifigures to stop an evil tyrant from gluing the Lego world as they know it into eternal stasis. This movie was absolutely HUGE back in 2014 and made a "brick"-load of money. As this was a certified BRBR First Watch, I just had to find out what the deal was with this smash hit movie about Legos. Outside of the absolutely stacked cast of voice actors and some stunning animation, I knew nothing else about the movie going into it. I've been a big Lego guy ever since I was old enough to play with them, so, naturally I had to finally find out just what Hollywood decided to do with one of my favorite toys from childhood. Becuase... well, you know how well it always goes when something you love and adore gets made into a major motion picture, right? Let's just say that it doesn't always leave you with the fond memories you had as a kid. But aside from it just being a movie about Legos, it actually has some fun animation, goofy characters and some of the most ridiculous humor you can imagine. Can Emmet discover his destiny as the "Special," stop President Business from carrying out his evil plan and show these bad reviewers how awesome it is to be part of a team? Tune in to find out!

You're a wizard! He's a wizard! She's a wizard! Everyone's a wizard this week as we jump on board the Hogwarts Express with Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. It is the intro to the wizarding world and the kick-off of one of the highest grossing film series of all time. While it may be the first year for Harry, Ron and Hermione, they soon find out to have quite a bit more on their plate than trying to pass their potions final. I honestly enjoy the first one so much as it's able to do such a bang-up job at taking us into the world of Hogwarts and I just have so many good memories from watching it as a kid. I'm in no way, shape or form (magical or non-magical), a massive Harry Potter fan by any means, but these movies are still some good wizarding fun. While the 2001 CGI sequences may not be anything to purchase the snack cart for, the film makes up for in giving us a decent sendoff into the wizarding world along with a fully stacked cast to make up these lively, legendary characters of Rowling's. Can Harry and his magical trio uncover the truth at Hogwarts, stop Vol... I mean, He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named and tell these bad reviewers it's Levi-OOOOH-sa not LevioSAR? Tune in to find out!

This week the crew and I are heading back to the '80s to cover one of the most controversial classics of the time - The Breakfast Club. Hailed by some as the "definitive teen movie from the 1980s" and others as "boring garbage I wouldn't let my kids watch," I knew we had to bring it to the wild world of BRBR to find out for ourselves. Taking place at Saturday detention at a high school in 1984, five teens from different social groups share time and stories to discover they seemingly have more in common than they thought. And man, I seriously can't overstate how much hype this film got to get it to the level of "1980s Classic." This so-called "teen movie of the ages" just seemed to blow up out of nowhere and be a household name to this day. With its well-known young cast, teenage relatability and dated dialogue, a majority of people still say it is a must watch. So pack a lunch, grab a pencil and paper and let's back to high school on a Saturday! Or... maybe just listen to this episode instead? Can our Saturday-school-spending-students connect with one another, outsmart ol' Vernon and send these bad reviewers to detention themselves? Tune in to find out!

BRBR IS BACK! After our unscheduled time off, the crew and I are back with a... wait. With a DC superhero movie? Honestly, guys? This is what we're coming back with for everyone after the break? All I have to say is who on this show approved this? But here we are everyone! We are beyond thrilled to be back behind the microphone and talking all things Shazam this week. I'm not going to say that we had this episode just about written before our break, but I am also not NOT going to say that - right? Our boy Zachary Levi suits up as the one and only white-caped, lightning-fingered, wonderboy known as Shazam and it's up to him to stop nefarious, evil and bald Dr. Thaddeus Sivana. In a world of ancient wizards, chosen champions and all sorts of famous locations around Philadelphia, this comic book super flick seemed to almost drop out of the blue from DC. Boasting some fun fights, decent practical effects/sets and some not-so-super dialogue, this "family-friendly Deadpool" character brings his own superpowers and superstory to the big screen. Can Shazam save his family, stop the bad baldy Dr. Thaddeus Sivana and drop a thundercrack on these bad reviewers? Tune in to find out!

Grab your finest, all-white eugoogoolizer attire and let's hit the runway! Hope y'all are once again ready for Blue Steel as we forget everything we thought we knew about the male modeling world with 2001's Zoolander. While being one of the world's top male models can bring fame, fortune and success, it can also apparently bring being brainwashed to kill a foreign nation's prime minister. Oh boy I feel like I have seen this one countless times, but still found myself cracking up at the ridiculous lines once more with this recent rewatch. There's just so much to this one from the characters to the humor to fictional centers for ants that just make Zoolander the beloved classic that it is today. Yet just how Hansel was voted Best Male Model of the Year over our boy Derek, there are also plenty of bad reviewers who voted this movie one of the worst they've ever seen! Can Derek make his comeback to the world of male modeling, not kill the Malaysian Prime Minister and drop the long awaited Magnum on these bad reviewers? Tune in to find out!

Lace up those Chucky T's and grab your gloves... Well maybe no longer the Chuck's but something from Nike instead, but either way this week we are climbing into the ring with 2015's Creed! The long lost son of legendary fighter Apollo Creed heads to Philly to recruit the one and only Italian Stallion to train him for the big leagues. It is BRBR's first trip to the Rocky Universe and we couldn't be more excited. Since I haven't seen any of the Creed flicks and also in light of Creed III just dropping, the crew and I figured we'd cover the original. I've heard plenty of great things about the series and just had to drop yet another BRBR First Watch for you guys. Man, March has been a month of firsts right out the gate! While it has its fair share of great moments, there's also plenty of cheese and nostalgia wrapped in because, well, it's tied to the other Rocky movies. And although it's certainly not the best fighting film there ever was, it definitely lands some blows in regards to the second half. Just go ahead and prepare yourselves for boxing puns, right? I shouldn't even have to warn y'all haha you know what podcast this is! Can Adonis Creed recruit Rocky to train him, make a legacy of his own and leave these bad reviewers on the canvas? Grab a stillsuit and maybe a thumper or two because this week we are taking the outerworlders of Arrakis to the world of BRBR with 2021's sci-fi revamp of Dune! While House Atreides seems to be played into a deadly trap, the Duke's son sets out not only to understand this political pitfall but his strange, futuristic visions as well. Y'all this was once more a BRBR First Watch and I can't believe I've been sleeping on this one for nearly two years! Not only was it visually stunning but the story, action and overall plot of the film was absolutely fantastic. Being based off of an 11 book series dating back to 1965 and its original counterpart released in 1984 of the same name, this revamp was bound to make a splash. Or, really make a mess of people's floors because sand, right? While it's a bit to take in at first as they set up the characters and storyline, it's absolutely worth the watch if you've never seen it. With a stellar cast, some outstanding visuals and plenty of interesting characters, the sandy stretches of Arrakis will leave you wanting more and probably a little thirsty. Can Paul Atreides avenge his father, make sense of his visions and leave these bad reviewers for the sandworms? Tune in to find out!

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY! I mean, happy week after Valentine's Day and welcome to BRBR's official Valentine's Day Special. Wow... Literally said V-Day so many times already. And yes, I am well aware that it's no longer the special day of love, but you know what? Sometimes you just don't get your podcast episodes up when you want to. So enter Jennifer Garner and pre-Hulk fame Mark Ruffalo as we wish upon a dream house this week in 13 Going on 30! In this one, our lead gal can't wait to grow up and wishes upon a magically dusty dream house that ages her 17 years in just one night. And honestly, the crew and I couldn't decide whether we wanted to cover a serious classic of a romance movie or just something we could have fun with and laugh at, so somehow we ended up on this one. It's also a BRBR First Watch as I'd never bothered to sit down and watch this goofy rom-com before now. Can Jenna fix the mistakes she doesn't remember, stop Matt from getting married and show these bad reviewers that she's thirty, flirty and thriving? Tune in to find out!

WILSON!!! You may not believe it, but Tom Hanks is back on BRBR with his tiny, round friend, Wilson. This week we set a course for a remote island via a FedEx cargo plane with the turn-of-the-century classic, Cast Away. After surviving a horrific plane crash in the middle of the Pacific, FedEx executive Chuck Noland finds himself stranded on a deserted island. Oh man, I've waited so long to cover this one and am so excited it's finally here. Cast Away is just one of those movies that almost everyone has seen (or, at least, heard of) and either absolutely love the film or would much rather see the final footage dropped in the middle of the ocean as well. It certainly isn't a perfect flick by any means and has plenty of goofy acting and outlandish CGI. (Heh, get it? Outlandish? Because he's surrounded by water on the island? Oh well, I liked the joke) But if there's anything that we can take from this film, it's that none of us can ever say the name "Wilson" the same ever again. I almost feel like you HAVE to yell it now when you say it, right? Can Tom Hanks and Wilson work together to get off the island, return the mysterious angel wings package and leave these bad reviewers in their port-a-potty sailboat wake? Tune in to find out!

Grab some popcorn and maybe a turtle because it's once again time for a classic "BRBR First Watch!" That's right! This week we are finally watching the ever so infamous, Dana Carvey comedy The Master of Disguise. It's up to Pistachio to uncover his family's legacy of disguising and save his mama and papa from a criminal mastermind. Despite it being one of the lowest rated movies we know today, it was actually a commissioned episode! And with being super grateful for the support, we had to venture into disguisey territory for you amazing viewers. I honestly knew nothing about this movie going into my first watch of it aside from a few lines and funny quotes. I mean, come on, love it or hate it people everywhere were quoting ridiculous gags from this one back in the early 2000s. But, not knowing anything was probably my best bet for this disguised disaster as I went in with a optimistically high bar! While I certainly love Dana Carvey, more so for his legendary role as Garth, this one was just a little bit too much in a, well, "turtley" sort of way for him. Can Pistachio uncover his family's legacy, rescue his parents and slap "who's your daddy?" into these bad reviewers? Tune in to find out!

Cue some of the finest (and flightless) agents the world has ever seen! Skipper, Kowalski, Rico and the adorable yet brave, Private. This week we look at the second successful spinoff from Dreamworks Animations with Penguins of Madagascar! With a diabolical octopus named Dave on the loose, it's up to our famous four heroes to stop him before he can exact his revenge on penguins everywhere. It is SUCH a random flick that was spawned from the Madagascar series of films but honestly, these boys were some of the more memorable side characters from those. I just so happened to catch it on a whim on Netflix a few years back and honestly? I was pleasantly surprised! As Madagascar grew into something that didn't really feel so new or original anymore, I am so glad they decided to give this crew their very own feature film. I am no huge Madagascar fan, but heck, I'm so glad they were at least given the chance to take over the big screen without Marty or Alex. With some clever writing, fun animation and special agent penguins being special agent penguins, this one is still a really fun watch. Can our favorite "high one-ing" batch of hatchlings stop Dave, get along with The North Wind and blast past these bad reviewers into the glorious future? Tune in to find out!

If you’ve been wondering just how on earth the Rebellion obtained those Death Star plans or, more simply, what the internet would have to say about a Star Wars spinoff movie that showed exactly that, then worry no more! This week BRBR brings the first live action Star Wars Story to the world of internet hate and ridiculous movie reviews. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story lays out for us the days leading up to the events of Episode IV. And since we have previously covered A New Hope last year and saw just what these bad reviewers had to offer with that one, I figured why not throw in a spinoff movie as our next venture into the galaxy far, far away. Just like with anything Star Wars related, this film has its fair share of die hard fans and die hard haters. It was something that even I didn’t particularly enjoy at my first viewing when it debuted, but now have come around to see the true Star Wars magic that’s still captured in this prequel to the original. Can Jyn and Cassian obtain the Death Star plans, light a fire under the Rebellion and let these bad reviewers know that that’s no second moon in the sky but a fully, functional planet killing space station? Tune in to find out!

Wait... We made it into the 5k Download Club? I guess all we can do now is say thank you and celebrate! This week we are looking at, well, to be frank, no movies but all of you wonderful listeners. That’s right! Once more this year we decided to put together a special episode to not only thank everyone for listening this year, but also to shout you out on the show. Because let’s be real, if it wasn’t for y’all we wouldn’t be here. You continue to make the show what it is and for that we here at BRBR are forever grateful. Now just like our podiversary episode, I wanted to run a more narrated episode that featured plenty of other friendly listeners, supporters and friendly pods that I’ve come to know along the way. I put out the question of “What was a movie that you didn’t walk out of, but now looking back, wished you would have and WHY?” And honestly, y'all gave THE BEST and most hilarious answers. Thank you again for listening and supporting BRBR over the past year-ish. I seriously have so much fun running the show and creating new ridiculous episodes week in and week out and am so glad to hear that y’all are enjoying laughing along with me at these bad reviewers.

Enjoy!

Well friends, you have heard right! It is time once more for BRBR to return to the wide, interesting and all around odd world that is the DCEU. This week we are finally catching up on the most recent DC flick starring Dwayne Johnson as Dark Superman... I mean, uh, Black Adam! With the fate of the world in trouble as some baddies summon all kinds of evil via the Crown of Sabbaq, it's up to our collage of colorful characters to stop them! And who might comprise that collage of colorful characters you might ask? Well, a mom, her skateboarding sun, her balding yet adorable brother, a not so supergroup called the Justice Society, and our newly awakened anti-hero, Black Adam. I actually never bothered to catch this one in theaters so we have a very special BRBR first watch episode for you this week. And I'm sure you can already guess that it left me with plenty of feels about our boy DTRJ as well as DC. Can Black Adam control his powers, learn how to use doors and tell these bad reviewers that the man in black sent them? Tune in to find out!

A very late Merry Christmas to all of you incredible listeners! Over series of unfortunate events over BRBR's Christmas holidays, we were unable to post this one in time for the big special day. So even though it's now 2023 and the first week of January, we're still following through with the ever-so-ridiculous BRBR Holiday Special, with none other than Jingle All the Way! It's up to Arnie to salvage not only his family's Christmas, but also his relationship with his son Jamie by obtaining the hottest toy of the season, Turbo Man. And all I have to say is what a criminally underrated holiday flick. I mean, it's big bad action Arnold in a family Christmas comedy! Who wouldn't want to watch this? We have a secret society of mall santas, vicious reindeer named Ted, Arnold punching said vicious Reindeer named Ted in the face, and the late, and great, Phil Hartman being, well, Phil Hartman. It's one of those movies that if you know it, you love it. And if you don't? Well... then you may very well be one of our fun-spirited bad reviewers. Can Arnold find a Turbo Man, reunite with his son and remind these bad reviewers that it's "turbo time?" Tune in to find out!

This week I just have one word for you... KEVIN!!! We're going from the McAllister Mansion to The Big Apple with Home Alone 2: Lost in New York. While Kevin may be out of his element of his own home, he soon finds his groove as he maneuvers tricking hotel staff, dodging criminals and befriending an unlikely ally in this sequel to the family-friendly smash hit. It's young Macaulay Culkin in his prime as Kevin and the audience get once more left behind by his frenzied and forgetful family. And if there are any movies that take me back to my childhood around Christmas time, this one is up there on the list. I loved watching these movies (let's be real, only just the first two) as a kid and honestly they still hit just as hard 30 years later. Kids loved seeing Kevin live his best kid life and outsmart some thieving buffoons while adults laughed at the relability, and quite frankly, the reality of big family vacations. Although there are six collective films in the Home Alone franchise, the only real heavyweights are the first two. If you've never seen any of these films, the only ones you need worry yourself with are the Culkin Era. Trust me. You'll thank me later! Can Kevin McAllister dodge these goofball criminals for good, reunite with his crazy family and set a trap for these bad reviewers? Tune in to find out!

Are those Scooby Snacks I smell or is it just our favorite cartoon canine in his first ever live-action film? Actually, it's both! From the late 60's animation to subpar CGI on the silver screen, it's time for BRBR to jump in the Mystery Machine as we dive into Scooby Doo! After deciding to go their separate ways, the Mystery Inc gang are brought back together to investigate some weird things going on at Spooky Island. And dear oh dear... Scooby Doo the movie. This movie was absolutely everywhere when it came out 20 years ago! And that's also weird to think that it's literally been two full decades since we first saw our pal Scoob on the big screen. Boasting some interesting CGI, awkward line deliveries and some of the most oddly selected cameos, it truly does lead you on your own mystery as to what sort of film they were going for here. Can Scooby and the gang solve the mystery of Spooky Island, regroup as Mystery Inc and pull the mask off of these bad reviewers? Tune in to find out!

Deal me in and place your bets! This week we are off to the famous Casino Royale Hotel in Montenegro as we cover... well, Casino Royale! Bond is hot on the heels of a baddie who is allegedly funding terrorists as he tries to smoke him out at a high stakes poker game. Everyone please give a warm welcome to the blonde and blue-eyed reintroduction of the one and only James Bond, Daniel Craig. It's Craig's big break as the infamous "double-O" agent in his first Bond film that seemed to have everyone "checking" on catching this one. Checking? Right? It's a poker reference because it's well... I'm sure y'all get it. But to be honest, as highly as some hold this film, most genuinely despise it and call it the death of the James Bond franchise. While we here at BRBR consider that a little harsh (and just between us, completely untrue), there are still plenty of hilarity to go around in these bad reviews. Can James nab the girl, play his cards right and leave these bad reviewers at the penny slots? Tune in to find out!

With these bad reviews that I read every week, one could venture to say that there's not much more than meets the eye. However, that is simply not the case this week as BRBR gets a visit from the fellow cyborgs from Cybertron in Transformers! The fate of a battle between two space age, ancient robot species now lies in the hands of Shia LaBeouf. So honestly, what could go wrong? Well, quite a bit actually as we revisit this CGI-tastic, action packed, robofight extravaganza that completely broke the box office back in 2007. It's one of the most infamously overlong franchises of all time with a handful of sequels already out in the real world as well as two additional films already in production for the coming years. Our boy Michael Bay goes from giving us Bruce Willis on a space rock to a movie with more plots than autobots. Right? Because it rhymes but is also true? While the CGI was a true spectacle at the time and turning point for many films to come, I just wasn't quite sure if "BayFormers" would still hold up today. Can Sam Witwicky and the Autobots stop the Decepticons, recover the All Spark and blast these bad reviewers back to Cybertron? Tune in to find out!

Anyone want to talk about Russian mobsters, an adorable little good boy or a notorious assassin? If so, then you're in for a real Continental treat as this week the crew and I are bringing John Wick to the world of BRBR! After stealing his car and killing said adorable little good boy as left behind by his late wife, John Wick sets out to take back to his old work and repay a mobster's son for what he took from him. JOHN WICK. KEANU REEVES. My goodness I really don't think the world was ready for what was about to be set out into it back in 2014. It's an action shooter unlike any other action shooter featuring some intense fight sequences, barrages of bullets and dozens of mobster bad guys meeting their grisly end for messing with the wrong guy. Which honeslty sounds JUST LIKE every other action shooter! But this one stands alone with some nice realism and a new, and sharpened edge of taking down some baddies. Can John track down the mobster's son, get revenge for what was taken from him and call in the clean up crew on these bad reviewers? Tune in to find out!

It's the spookiest time of the year so we figured we'd travel along with Adam Sandler and the gang to the spookiest town there is, Salem, MA! That's right, all you ghoulish movie-goers, it's finally time once more for the BRBR Halloween Special! And what better way to celebrate than to cover a movie that deserves no place in a Halloween Special, with Hubie Halloween. It's Halloween night in the town of Salem and Hubie is out to ensure everyone has a happy and safe spooky night despite being mocked by literally everyone except his mom. Now I know what you're thinking... "Bill must be crazy to cover this movie! It's so dumb! Who would ever like this??" To which I will respond with, you're right on all accounts! With a flick as quite dreadful as this one it was bound to come with some absolutely ghostly bad reviews. We here at the show figured we'd go all out and not cover an actual horror film, but something ridiculous that still carries some Halloween spirit. Where my East High Wildcats at? Y'all ready to get'cha head in the game? This week the world of BRBR takes you back to the Disney Channel Original Movie that started it all with High School Musical. It put our boy Zac Efron on the map and created some of the most die hard super fans of any Disney movie series ever. And y'all I just have to be honest... the age of DCOM's were a golden age if there ever was one. Seriously some of the most nostalgic and classic movies to kids everywhere who were kids at that time! High School Musical came out of the gate singing, dancing and swinging as it still maintains the title of the most popular and successful DCOM of all time. With Troy wanting to ball out for his dad, make googly eyes at the new, shy, cute girl, and show off his vocal pipes in the school's musical, this is literally packed with old age Disney cheesiness. And while it was my first time ever watching this one, I gotta say it was certainly the start of something new. Can Troy convince his team it's okay to sing, win back Gabriella and show these bad reviewers the heart of a true Wildcat? Tune in to find out!

Grab your VR goggles and fancy gloves because this week we are heading to the OASIS! It's finally time to fly into the future as we get our gamer on in covering Spielberg's Ready Player One. It's up to Parzival, Artemis and friends to unlock the hidden Easter Egg in the virtual world of the OASIS before the dastardly Sorrento and his IOI goons can get their hands on it. In a world all about an alternate reality, a famous creator has left a clue ridden path to three virtual keys to his own virtual kingdom. And man this movie really felt like it came from another world! It delivered a blast of a story, some really fun characters and a virtual environment beyond anyone's wildest imagination. While it may have ruffled some feathers of the fans of the beloved book its based on, it boasts some fascinating CGI, a banging soundtrack and so many references it'll make even the most hardcore gamers blush. If you have ever thought that penguins would make great surfers, you're in the right place! This week we grab our boards and catch some sweet waves as we look back on 2007's animated surfing documentary, Surf's Up. A wanna-be big time surfer, Cody Maverick, finds himself recruited and brought to the Annual Penguin Surfing Championship on the island of Pen-Gu. And y'all, this is one of my all time favorite animated classics that I feel is criminally underrated. From how it's shot like a documentary by a film crew to the crazy and loveable characters themselves, it seemed ahead of the crowds for 2007. Featuring some stellar animation and incredible voice acting from several notable actors and actresses, it is the penguin surfing story we never knew we needed! This animated flick knows its a fake/fun documentary about a penguin surfing competition and really doesn't try to be anything more. While it seemed to get "washed up" by the other animated giants of the time, Surf's Up stands alone with its visual style and creative humor. Can Cody bring home the championship, help Big Z out of retirement and leave these bad reviewers in his wake? Tune in to find out!

It's time we go back to one of the best, feel-good movies of the 90s with one of the most unforgettable stories we know. This week we are heading to the fictional town of Greenbow, Alabama as we look at the unexpected smash hit, Forrest Gump. We basically just get to tag along through many of America's significant events as seen through the eyes of our main buddy, Forrest. I love how the story is just to be present and observe as opposed to something that is being straight up presented or told to us. We get to see him play football, graduate college, join the Army, go to Vietnam, become a ping-pong champion and go to the White House to meet the current president of the time not once, but twice! It's all around feel-good fun that still hits nearly 30 years after its initial release. Plus, who doesn't love Forrest Gump? And even if you don't, I bet that you can quote most of this movie's famous lines. Can Forrest nab the girl of his dreams, become a shrimp boat captain and run (Forrest, run) away from these bad reviewers? Tune in to find out!

I hope everyone is ready to dodge some balls and maybe a bad review or two. This week we reflect on the ever so ridiculously infamous sports comedy, Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story. And while it may or may not be true, it certainly has plenty of people who didn't seem to enjoy it. I found myself still cracking up at the outrageous jokes and characters nearly two decades after its official debut. It's up to Peter and his Average Joe's to take down Globo-Gym's White Goodman in the most hardcore dodgeball tournament you've ever seen. Now this may not be the best movie there ever was, but boy oh boy does it scream 2000's! Everything about it just feels like such a refreshing throwback from the featured actors and actresses to the cheap, silly jokes that backup our favorite ball dodging characters. Can the Average Joe's advance into the major tournament, defeat the Globo-Gym Purple Cobras and dodge these wrench-throwing bad reviewers? Tune in to find out!

Friends, moviegoers and yes, you bad reviewers... This week we are pleased to announce that we are celebrating one full year of BRBR! Never would I have dreamed that I would be 53 episodes into a movie podcast I created but thanks to you fantastic listeners, we can say that. Seriously though, it's a fun celebration episode for the show and all but it wouldn't be where it is today or what it is today without you guys. So in the spirit of shouting out some incredible supporters and listeners, in addition to the brief history of BRBR and some behind the scenes facts, you'll also get to hear an "Ask Me Anything" Q&A session where I answer questions written in from some of the friendliest pods on the planet. It's definitely a break from our typical rhythm and rhyme of the show but it's still definitely going to be a good time. Can Bill control his podcast crew, answer all of the amazing (and hilarious) questions and maybe throw in an explosion or two? Tune in to find out!

It's finally time to bring everyone's favorite masked alien to the world of BRBR and I couldn't be happier. This week we are heading deep into the jungle with Ah-nuld as we look at 1987's infamous classic, Predator. It's up to Arnie and the boys to rescue some hostages and make it out of the jungle alive. However, even with their big guns and bigger muscles, they soon find themselves outmatched by an extraterrestrial foe. And honestly y'all, this is one of those movies that is surrounded by seriously so much hate. Haha I absolutely don't get all the hate for this one! Predator is one of my favorite movies from the 80's and features so much goofy action and dialogue. Classic shoot'em up movies featuring a group of commandoes are just a solid part of my childhood. So this movie was right up my alley growing up! Can Arnold and his super soldier squad rescue the hostages, defeat the Predator and "get to the choppa" to escape these bad reviewers? Well thanks to an incredible listener of the show, it's time once more to return to the MCU. That's right! This is a commissioned episode brought to BRBR by a listener just like yourself! This week we look at one of the stronger sequels to a Marvel origin story with Captain America: The Winter Soldier. And let's be real... Marvel has a streak of duds for second installments to origin stories. (Yes, looking at you Iron Man 2 and Thor: Dark World haha). But Cap brings the action as well as an end to that streak in this one. With S.H.I.E.L.D. playing both sides and an oddly familiar new foe making his presence known, it's up to our man Steve Rogers, Falcon and Black Widow to put an end to the secret life of some "good guys." And honestly, I love how much this movie breaks away from the typical Marvel formula and gives us more of a spy thriller than a superhero flick. Boasting some fantastic practical action and Nick Fury being more furious than ever, it's definitely one MCU feature film to revisit. Can Captain America and allies stop the Winter Soldier, defeat the secret branch of HYDRA and shield-throw these bad reviewers out of this world? Tune in to find out!

For a podcast that talks about burgers so much, it's time we finally cover the one and only, "beef-tastic" burger movie itself! This week we are off to Wonder Wharf to catch up with the Belchers in their latest feature film debut, The Bob's Burgers Movie. It's up to the goofy family to do all they can to save the restaurant once a sinkhole opens up right in front of it. And like many other people on planet earth, I absolutely adore the Bob's Burgers TV series! It's such a random, ridiculous show that totally deserves to be featured on the big screen. Boasting some crazy musical scenes, the Belcher kids doing what they do best and, you guessed it, plenty of burgers, it really hones in on the true essence of the TV series. Can Bob and family save the restaurant, clear Mr. Fischoeder's name and toss out these bad reviewers like day old burger grease? Tune in to find out!

If you’re afraid of snakes, don’t worry! No snakes are shown (or were harmed) in the making of this podcast! It’s time to take to the skies with Samuel L. Jackson in Snakes on a Plane. After an LA mobster somehow releases deadly snakes onto a 747 flight carrying a witness seeking to take him down, it’s up to Agent Flynn and the passengers to survive this slithering nightmare in the sky. Now before you say “Bill must have gotten bit by a snake and gone off the deep end to cover this atrocity,” I have actually not been bit but, pal, I’ve been off the deep end since our first episode. While this movie may be the absolute garbage that you remember it being, it’s surprisingly not a total loser! Boasting some hilarious one liners, 2000s jokes and well, Mr. Sammy Jackson himself, it’s definitely horribly entertaining time. While it may have been created from a meeting to see who could come up with the worst movie pitch, it definitely is still not the worst movie I have ever seen. Come on, its angry, CGI snakes aboard a flight 30,000 feet in the air! What’s not to like? Can Sammy J fight off the snakes, protect his witness and leave these bad reviewers at baggage claim? Tune to find out!

Well friends it is once more time for BRBR to leap back into the MCU! This time, thankfully, with somehting more decent than some of our other MCU entries, with Thor: Ragnarok! With the fall of Aasgard at hand, it's up to Thor and his new found gang of "Revengers" to take down Hela and her army of undead warriors. And while this may not be the most perfectly polished Marvel movie, it certainly is one of the more entertaining. I have always never really cared for Thor but still enjoyed his presence in the other Avengers movies until now. While most people somehow find this one to be one of the more controversial MCU flicks that "ruined Thor," I am actually quite grateful for the alternate direction. Can Thor stop Hela, be okay with his new haircut and leap thunderously away from these bad reviewers? Tune in to find out!

The hunt for twinkies, the most legendary list of rules for the apocalypse and loads of zombies... this week BRBR riding shotgun in a yellow Hummer as we look at Zombieland! It's up to four very different survivors to band together as they survive the end of the world in a zombie infested America. And all I have to say is FINALLY! I absolutely love a great zed movie and Zombieland is exactly that. I honestly don't know how we haven't covered it on the show yet but hey, here we are. Although released in 2009, it just seemed a little too edgy and ahead of its time with its own fresh take on the horror comedy section for zombie movies. However, boasting some killer music and even more killer, well, zombie kills, and with the aid of its sequel released in recent years it has definitely earned a place on my movie shelf. Can Columbus and the gang fight off the undead hordes, get Tallahasee his twinkie and use the most important rule of cardio to escape these bad reviewers? Tune in to find out!

This week we are going small as we dive into the world of bugs. Well, the bugs may be small but this movie sure isn't! It's time for A Bug's Life! It's up to Flik to round up some "warriors" in order to save his colony from the grasshopper's evil grasp. This is one of my all time favorite Pixar films! Literally so many good memories from this one. It's just all around a great time and is chock full of that late 90s Pixar movie magic. I just have no idea how anyone can hate on this one but I wouldn't be covering it if there were no haters! Also, shoutout to my good buddy Ron for sponsoring this episode! Does anyone else remember a time when dinosaurs ruled the earth? Well I do! And it's where we're heading this week as we look at Jurassic World: Dominion. As the sixth installment to the legendary franchise, it's up to Owen and his dino gang to stop a corrupt corporation from their dastardly deeds and... maybe save some dinos? This movie had one of the biggest teases in recent years with the return of Alan Grant and Ellie Sattler. While it wasn't the most well received movie of the series, it definitely made some big dino bucks at the box office. And BRBR is here to see if this flick brought our prehistoric friends back to life or should have stayed extinct! Can Owen, along with our trilogy characters, stop the baddies at the new corporation, evade being dino lunch and "find a way" to make this a decent film? Tune in to find out!

And cue one of the biggest and most "incredible" animated features of all time. This week finally takes us into the world of The Incredibles! It's up to a family of supers to come out of hiding in order to not only save the day, but save the world! I literally cannot get over how great this movie is. It's one of my all time favorites and honestly has some of the best jokes and writing I have ever heard in a Disney/Pixar film. Love it or hate it, you have to admit that you at least know a handful of quotes from this one. It's time to ride alongside Will Smith as he survives against hoardes of infected! That's right, this week we are looking at the apocalyptic, banger from 2007, I Am Legend. With most of humanity wiped out from a plague, it's up to our fresh prince and his side-pup to survive long enough to discover a cure. This movie was so big for me and my age group that when it hit theaters literally everyone was talking about it. From the horrifying alternate reality to the mannequins that totally moved like real people. I Am Legend takes a break from the cliche of a gang of survivors fighting off the undead and instead gives us a glimpse at life all alone in a totally abandoned NYC. And while it has dozens of infected trying to rip Will apart, it also boasts just as many bad reviewers that are trying to do the same to me! While the previous version was lacking in several areas, our main man Zack put together this reimagining for the fans. With Superman now out of the picture, it's up to Bruce Wayne and Diana Prince to assemble DC's finest to stop the incoming villains from space. And while I am by no means a huge fan of the DC Universe, I am here for this much needed superhero do-over. Can Batman and our gang of heroes not only save earth from the baddies AND redeem themselves from their 2017 flop, but also band together to defeat the bad reviewers? Tune in to find out!

Grab some tots and get ready to vote for Pedro! This week we are looking at the mid-2000s cult classic that we never knew we needed, Napoleon Dynamite. Y'all this has to be one of the goofiest movies we have covered so far on the show. While it lacks in a true plot, it makes up for it with its funky yet likable characters, hilarious quotes and the just all around relatability of a kid trying to get through high school wearing jeans and snow boots. It's got a llama, tater tots, homemade handicrafts and lots of great dancing. While Napoleon and Pedro are out to go to the dance and win the class presidency, will they be able to live out their high school dreams AND ditch these bad reviewers? Tune in to find out!

It's time we cover one of the bigger, scarier monster movies of my childhood... Monsters Inc! Enter top scarer James "Sully" Sullivan and his best pal, Mike Wazowski. These two friends work at Monsters Inc to harness the energy of scares to power their city of Monstropolis. But when an adorable little girl, Boo, manages to sneak her way into their world... well, that's what you call a real 2319. While this Disney/Pixar classic boasts lots of lines and characters still well known to this day, it also brings with it a monstrous amount of bad reviews. Can our two favorite monsters return Boo home, expose the company's evildoings AND scare off these bad reviewers? Tune in to find out!

Not only is it time to take to the streets of Gotham with our favorite masked vigilante... But also to cover my 5TH COMMISSIONED EPISODE. That's right! This episode is sponsored by my buddy Ron who commissioned me to cover The Batman. Director Matt Reeves brings the Caped Crusader back to the big screen in a much more dark and gritty take. With the Riddler on the loose picking some of Gotham's elect, it's up to Batman and Gordon to track him down and put a stop to his diabolical plans. And while this feature flick boasts a hearty three hour runtime, it is packed to the max with all the goodies us Bat-fans could want. Will Batman be able to stop the Riddler, protect Catwoman AND drop some justice on these bad reviewers? Tune in to find out!

It's finally time for this indie podcaster to cover an Indy movie... See what I did there? This week we are talking Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark! It's the classic original that kicked off one of the most legendary franchises ever and also literally one of my favorite movies of all time. Our man Harrison Ford is intergalactic smuggler turned professor and archaeologist in one of my favorite adventure flicks ever. It's up to Indiana Jones to hunt down the Ark of the Covenant before it falls into the hands of Hitler's Nazis. And the Nazis aren't the only ones trying to stop Indy... It's time for the first feature film from Sony's Playstation Productions! Uncharted brings Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg as the dynamic duo from Playstation's hit game series by the same name, Nathan Drake and Victor "Sully" Sullivan. They're out to track down the treasure left behind by Ferdinand Magellan's crew. However, they are not the only ones interested in the loot. As a gamer who has played through all four of the Uncharted videogames, I was thrilled that it was finally becoming a major motion picture. While tracking down some lost ancient treasure may be difficult for Nate and the gang, it'll be much more difficult evading these bad reviewers. It's time to set sail with the most beloved bunch of pirates ever to grace the silver screen. This week is all about pirates as we look at Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl. I have been excited all week to not only cover this one and bring it to y'all, but to watch it again! I just absolutely love these movies. The Black Pearl kicks off one of the most notable movie franchises in movie history. We have blacksmith William Turner, governor's daughter Elizabeth Swann, and Jack... I mean, "Captain" Jack Sparrow. And while they can return the gold to lift the curse and finally defeat Barbossa and his crew, there is no way to lift the curse of bad reviews. Welcome to the first official 2022 release to be covered on the BRBR Podcast! And what better way to celebrate than to return to Woodsboro 25 years after Ghostface first came slashing onto the scene. This week, we return to where it all began for Sidney Prescott and her friends, well, the ones that weren't trying to kill her, to yet again try to solve who might be behind these new brutal slayings. Although Screams 2, 3 and 4 are all blurs in my memory, the cult classic original still stands tall to this day. I mean, it's a horror legend now! But for this 5th installment to the slasher franchise, it's time for a new cast, new story and the same old scary Ghostface mask. Although Sidney has some extra help to defeat Ghostface in this one, will it be enough to also stop the bad reviewers from slashing this one to ribbons? Well, don't "scream" and tune in to find out!

It's time to go under the sea in BRBR's return to the universe of monster movies. And while our last true monster movie we covered dealt with the family life of a super lizard and an oversized ape... this one has got one big ol' sharky for us. It's The Meg! It's our classic scientists doing science things for science only to uncover the most dangerous marine predator ever is still alive. And while it is by no means movie of the year, it certainly delivers two hours of aquatic fun. Welcome to the most royal episode of the BRBR Podcast! With the Genovian throne at hand, it’s up to the socially awkward Mia Thermopolis to access her princess side. That’s right! This week we are looking at one of the best royal Disney classics, The Princess Diaries 👑 And while some people may write it off and say it’s just some silly teen movie about the impossible dream of becoming a princess; you’re right! But it’s a truly fantastic, and hilarious silly teen movie about the impossible dream of becoming a princess. While she’s barely able to drive and even tame that crazy hair, but she’s an heir! (See what I did there? Hehe) 😂 But for real, cast away your preconceived notions because this is still just as fun a watch as it was back in 2001. Most of the characters did an awesome job, the story is fun to follow along and Mia has a little kitty named Fat Louie. Well… he’s not so little, is he? 🐱 While Mia finally is able to tame her hair, will she be able to royally tame these bad reviewers? Tune in to find out! ⚡️

What's up BRBR Fam welcome to a very special episode about a very, very strange movie. This week we are bringing vampires love and awkward teen tension to the show, with none other than Twilight. And before you think I have gone off the deep end for covering this, it is actually my 4th COMMISSIONED EPISODE!!! Heck yes you heard that right. In a sad, grey, pale city named "Forks," our main girl Bella finds herself in a dangerous romance with a 108-year old vampire named Edward. And yes, just about everyone on the planet has heard of Twilight. And also yes, just about all of those people despise it. But hey, it's a commissioned episode so your boy Bill is here to guide you through the in's and out's of this totally bonkers film. Although Edward and his vamp-fam can smell a human from a mile away, I have the same sense for bad reviews. And this flick has got them by the boatload. WELCOME TO BRBR 2022!! And what better way to kick off the new year than by covering the biggest movie of 2021, Spider-Man: No Way Home. Not only did this movie completely destroy the box office with its billions raked in worldwide, but its first official trailer became the second most viewed trailer EVER. And while it lacks in satisfyingly delivering the boatload of story it has to boast, it makes up for with fun fight scenes, super neat Easter eggs, and freakin' Tobey Maguire. Our boy Petey Parker's identity is out to the world resulting in the denial of entry into MIT for him, MJ and Ned. And after a spell from our good friend Doctor Strange goes wrong, it's up to Peter, Peter and Peter to stop some of the best villains from Spidey's universe. I can't believe I am saying this but this is the final episode of 2021 for the BRBR Podcast! And I could not be more pleased than ending the year covering arguably one of the best Christmas movies ever, Die Hard. YES. I DEFINITELY SAID CHRISTMAS MOVIE. Because it totally is one! Die Hard brings our boy Bruce Willis to the silver screen in one heck of a classic action movie. Hans Gruber, played by the late and legendary Alan Rickman, and his boys storm the Nakatomi Plaza on Christmas Eve in the effort to bag what they know is stashed in the vault. However, one barefoot, tanktopped hero narrowly escapes and goes on to thwart their dastardly plans. Now most of this movie takes place on the 30th floor of the Nakatomi building. That's pretty high up. But is it high enough for our buddy Bruce to escape the even more dastardly bad reviewers? Tune in to find out!

The Rock, Ryan Reynolds, Gal Gadot, a storyline for a great heist movie... What could go wrong? Enter Red Notice. I have said it before and I'll say it again, I LOVE heist movies. But goodness gracious, what Sharknado sized disaster this was. With The Rock as an FBI agent, Reynolds as an infamous art thief and Gadot as... Another infamous art thief? Enter billionaire, engineer, genius, playboy... Tony Stark. This week we are diving into (in my humble opinion) the official, theatrical debut of the MCU with 2008's Iron Man. Hands down this is by far my FAVORITE Marvel movie to date. While its sequels don't boast too much to write home about, the original Iron Man is a colossal milestone in the birth of the MCU. With Robert Downey Jr as the celebrity turned hero Iron Man, Gwyneth Paltrow as the level headed Pepper Potts and Jeff Bridges as the hot tempered (and bald) Obadiah Stone, this is one superhero sized adventure of a movie. And although Tony's suit can withstand a barrage of bullets and a fight against a larger iron brute, can it withstand the onslaught of bad reviewers? Tune in to find out!

Is it quiet in here? Or is it just these sound-tracking monsters trying to eat me? That's right! In this week's episode we are looking at A Quiet Place Part II. The gang from the first hit thriller are back for more (sans one Jim Halpert, however). Are these mysterious aliens enough to scare away our loveable bad reviewers? Tune in to find out!

It is the very first Throwback "Thirds-Day" where I review a favorite classic of mine!  This week's episode takes us along for a ride into Jurassic Park.  Reading bad reviews of one of my favorite movies of all time is going to be tough.  Although it was a huge, dino-tastic smash hit upon release back in the '90s, will it become extinct by the extreme savagery of online movie reviewers??  Tune in to find out!
