She had an accident at work ending her career, she was diagnosed with cancer, her youngest son’s wife tried to hurt him while on vacation in the Dominican Republic and her oldest son has a freak accident. All of these struggles made Karen depressed and ready to end her life. Luckily, she started watching The Chosen and her life started changing for the better with a new found love of Jesus. Now God has her doing new things in life she never would have expected.
In April, I flew to Utah to be a background actor on The Chosen. My dream finally came true!!! I was literally walking with The Chosen (or at least other background actors). I share details on what to expect if you ever decide you want to be an extra and I give hints for the episode I was in, without giving anything away.

Priscilla lives in Australia and a few years ago, she was living the life of Job, from the Old Testament. Over a span of a few years, she lost her dad, 3 weeks later was deathly ill, with brain bleeds and fighting with one auto immune disease, then another, dealing with an abusive, toxic marriage, a heart attack, then another auto immune disease when the lockdown happened. She fell into depression, loneliness and despair. But God had a plan and he did not let her go. Hear her remarkable story and what happened that saved her life.

In this episode, Jesus performs his first miracle - changing water into wine at a wedding. First we see young Jesus being found by Joseph and Mary in Jerusalem after losing track of him in their caravan. Mother Mary visits her friend to help prepare for her son's wedding. Simon tells Eden what happened with the fish and how he met Jesus. We are introduced to a new follower of Jesus named Thomas and Nicodemus visits with John the baptizer to discuss miracles and understand what it means.
Simon is getting himself into further trouble with the romans, his wife Eden and his fishing community. He is not seeking God with his struggles and trying to do everything on his own and a miracle happens and changes everything! We get to see Mary enjoy her new freedom since she found Jesus. She doesn't understand how she is healed but she knows Jesus healed her and she knows his time has not yet come to be revealed to man. Nicodemus seems puzzled by her redemption as well, possibly contemplating everything he has known. Simon is struggling with tax debt and doing things that aren't right and his brother is the only one who knows his secret. Matthew is very alone, except for a new dog who adopted him and he didn't feel comfortable entering the home of his family. We are also introduced to the first 2 chosen disciples - Thaddeus and James.
