Women everywhere are being told their labs are “fine,” even when their bodies are clearly asking for help.

If you’ve ever felt that way, this episode brings clarity, hope, and practical tools for women’s health, nervous system regulation, self-connection, and metabolic health.

In this episode I’m joined by Dr. Nasha Winters, pioneer in integrative oncology and co-author of The Metabolic Approach to Cancer (our recent Book Nook pick).

With decades of experience, she shows how getting to the root cause can transform not only cancer prevention but also hormonal health, metabolism, and overall wellbeing.

What you’ll discover in this conversation:

  • Why “more hormones” isn’t always the answer, and what else could be at play
  • The key signals that throw women out of balance and how to start restoring them
  • How mitochondria influence hormones and energy more than most of us realize
  • The overlooked role of everyday toxins in food, products, and clothing
  • Simple, realistic steps to bring your body back into balance without overwhelm

This is about listening to your body, reclaiming your health, and finding confidence in your own intuition.

If you’ve ever felt dismissed, confused, or stuck in your health journey, this episode will help you take the next step forward.

Have you ever had that full-body ‘NO’ moment (the one where every part of you is screaming not to do something) but you overrode it to keep the peace, look “easy,” or avoid being “too much”?

So many of us as women have been conditioned to disconnect from our intuition, to downplay our needs, and to override the very guidance that was designed to protect and lead us.

In this powerful conversation, I sit down with Abby Miller: holistic business strategist, founder of the Work Womb Podcast, and self-described “yoga teacher turned productivity preacher.” Abby works with visionary women who are building big dreams and teaches them how to follow their intuition, regulate their nervous system, and set the kind of boundaries that create freedom instead of burnout.

Inside the episode, we explore:

  • Why intuition is your most underused business and life strategy as well as how to strengthen it in small daily decisions
  • What happens when you override your gut (Abby’s raw stories of trauma, healing, and self-forgiveness)
  • The surprising link between intuition, pleasure, and permission — and how to reclaim all three
  • How to shorten the gap between inspiration and action by letting go of permission-seeking
  • The role of boundaries in creating safety for yourself, your business, your kids, and your relationships
  • Why community is essential for breaking through ceilings and moving past imposter syndrome

This is a conversation about trusting yourself in motherhood, in business, and in the messy, beautiful daily moments of life. Abby’s honesty, humor, and wisdom are such a gift.

Have you ever thought, “Why am I so tired even when I’m doing everything right?”

Or “Why can’t I just feel calm, even when I finally get a break?” If so, don’t miss this.

Today’s episode is a recording of my talk at the Return to Nature event hosted by Quantum Lens Wellness in the beautiful hills of Franklin, Tennessee. 🌿

I talk about:

•Why feeling anxious, reactive, or burnt out isn’t a sign you’re broken. It’s just your nervous system calling for support

•How to gently work with your natural rhythm using the 5 key brain waves: Theta, Alpha, Beta, Delta, and Gamma

•What it actually looks like to regulate your nervous system in real life (no fancy tools or perfect routines required)

•How the 5 Ps—Pause, Prepare, Produce, Plan, and Peace—can guide your day without making it feel like another to-do list

•Why joy, movement, and even play (yes, I talk about adult gymnastics)

If you’ve been craving more ease, flow, and connection in your days, I hope it gives you the soft permission you’ve been needing. 🫶

Our brains and bodies are wired to move through different waves of energy, focus, and rest—but no one ever taught us how.Together, we’ll explore a gentle, science-based system that helps you work with your brain instead of against it. No fancy tools, no rigid routines. Just simple practices you can layer into the life you’re already living.Inside the episode, I’ll walk you through:What each brain wave really does, like the morning dreaminess of theta, the calm flow of alpha, the go-get-it energy of beta, the healing power of delta, and the magic of gammaHow to know when you’re overusing a certain state (hello burnout!) and how to gently shiftLittle ways to reset your nervous system using light, music, movement, and intentional pausesA daily rhythm that feels supportive instead of depletingHow to use the 5 Ps: pause, plan, produce, plan again, and peace—to shape your day with intentionThis isn’t about doing less. Have you ever felt like you were doing everything right—eating better, trying to fast, doing the workouts—and yet your energy still crashes, your brain feels foggy, or your sleep just won’t improve?

In this powerful conversation with bestselling author and health educator Ben Azadi, we explore what it really means to get your body back on your side. It’s not through more control or more willpower—it’s through listening, pausing and realigning with what your body is already trying to tell you.

Ben’s message is one I know so many of us need to hear right now: your body isn’t broken. It’s wise. And when you remove the interference (stress, disconnection, overdoing) it remembers how to heal.

Inside the episode, we talk about:

•Why the nervous system is the starting point for metabolic health

•How Ben recovered from burnout and a panic attack in the middle of his book launch

•What fasting looks like when it’s in tune with your hormones (especially during perimenopause)

•The surprising connection between cortisol, glucose spikes, and weight plateaus

•How to use tools like HRV, CGMs, and body cues to actually listen to your stress response

•Why joy, play, and oxytocin are just as important as nutrition when it comes to healingYou’ll also hear Ben share his personal health rock-bottom and the mindset shift that helped him rebuild his body and come back home to himself. This one is about so much more than fasting.

If you’ve ever stood in front of your mirror wondering what all those ingredients in your skincare are actually doing to your body… this one’s for you.

We’re joined by Trina Felber: nurse, entrepreneur, and the brains behind the clean beauty movement, for a real, honest conversation about what’s really hiding in our skincare, how it can mess with our hormones, and why some of the products we trust most might actually be aging our skin instead of helping it glow.

What if feeling everything: the highs, the lows, the messy in-between, was actually your greatest strength?

In this episode, Alexandra Roxo, transformational mentor and author of Dare to Feel, opens up about the power of emotional aliveness. She shares why so many women are conditioned to suppress their emotions, how we unknowingly disconnect from ourselves, and what happens when we finally allow ourselves to feel it all.

If you’ve ever struggled to balance being strong and soft, found yourself numbing out with busyness, or felt disconnected from your emotions, this conversation is for you. Alexandra makes a powerful case for why vulnerability isn’t weakness—it’s the key to deeper connection, freedom, and real power.

What You’ll Learn in This Episode:

  • Why women are taught to suppress emotions—and how to break free
  • The sneaky ways we avoid feeling (hint: staying “busy” is a big one)
  • How to embrace both strength and softness without shutting down
  • The power of awareness in shifting emotional patterns

Have you ever wondered how the power of intention can transform not just your life, but the world around you?

In our most recent Book Nook meet-up, I had the absolute honor of sitting down with Lynne McTaggart, internationally bestselling author, journalist, and one of the most pioneering voices at the intersection of science and spirituality. Lynne’s groundbreaking work explores the profound impact of group intention and its ability to heal, connect, and shift the way we understand human potential.

Our conversation dove into:

  • The science behind intention: Why our thoughts are more powerful than we’ve been led to believe.
  • The incredible findings from Lynne’s 41 Intention Experiments—with 37 showing measurable, significant results (better than most pharmaceuticals!).
  • How small groups—like Lynne’s famous “Power of 8”—can amplify healing, success, and connection in ways you wouldn’t think possible.
  • Why altruism isn’t just good for others—it’s scientifically proven to heal and energize us, too.

Lynne’s insights are transformative, and the stories she shares will give you chills: from reversing chronic illnesses and financial breakthroughs to witnessing people stand up from wheelchairs after just 10 minutes of group intention.

In this episode, I sit down with Errin Smith, also known as @that.health.chick, to discuss the journey of unstuffing our lives from things that don't serve us and finding true health and happiness.

Errin shares her personal story of struggling with emotional eating despite being in the health space and how she overcame it by reconnecting with herself and finding balance. She discusses how we can take control of our health through the following:

▶︎ Be Present: Tune into what you truly want in the moment to address cravings and emotional eating.

▶︎ Find Your Purpose: Reconnect with yourself, nature, and spirituality to discover your true purpose.

▶︎ Implement Healthy Processes: Focus on practical health improvements like adequate protein, sleep, hydration, and gut health.

▶︎ Practice Patience: Understand that change is gradual and requires consistent, small steps.

Errin's story is a powerful reminder that health is not just about physical well-being but also about emotional and spiritual health. By reconnecting with ourselves and addressing the root causes of our behaviors, we can find true balance and peace.

If you are a woman who has ever gotten stuck in what I like to call a mental loop, this episode is for you!

What’s a mental loop?

A mental loop is when we experience a stressful moment in our day-to-day life, and we get stuck on it. We keep thinking about it, ruminating on it, or replaying it and we let it continue to stress us out well after the event took place.

If you’re not careful, this can lead to a chronic state of stress, which will negatively impact all areas of your life.

In this episode I am going to talk through some very simple and empowering neurology to explain what's happening and how you can take back control when these moments occur.

The goal is not to rid your life of all stress, because some amount of stress is actually good for you, but rather to quickly get back into alignment so you can respond rather than react to your environment.

Once you understand these concepts and use some tools that I’ll outline, you can feel more calm, harmonious, and in control of your life, your day, your week, and your year, regardless of what comes your way.

Enjoy!

Fear prevents so many of us from living the life of our dreams.

In this episode I sit down with my friend Melanie Hunter as we explore the beauty and the best of relationships, motherhood, taking risks and the power of enhancing our relationships (including our relationship with ourselves).

Melanie is a Certified Holistic Nutrition Consultant, Founder of alii Supplement, Breathwork instructor, and mother to three boys. She is a seeker who strives to live life to its fullest. She believes that true health comes when the body, mind, and spirit are in alignment. Her mission is to educate & empower others to take control of their health and to do everything with love.

We talk about all the things, from being “just a mom” and why we think of it that way, to the importance of spending time with yourself and getting to know yourself and the effect that that can have on enhancing all of our relationships; to the realities and challenges of actually being brave enough to follow our dreams and follow our heart and what that can actually look like, as well as what we can come up against in the process, and how she pushes through those challenges.

So grab your favorite drink, pull up a chair or put on your walking shoes and listen to this episode filled with love, growth, bravery, and wellness from the inside out!

Are your habits working FOR you or AGAINST you?

Your habits compound over time, and it’s up to you to make sure they’re working in your favor.

I know it can seem overwhelming to create a new habit and/or change a bad habit. But you can take small steps and make small, incremental tweaks, and over time those will compound into huge, lasting change.

We recently read the book Atomic Habits by James Clear in the Best Friends Book Nook (my online book club for women).

Normally I share my key takeaways in the book club. But this book is so transformative, I wanted to share the best points with everyone so you can take these and implement them into your life right away.

So if you’re in a season where it’s tough to find the time to read a book, I’ve got you! Grab a tasty beverage, a notebook, and let’s talk about how you can make small changes that have a huge impact on your life.

How many women out there feel depleted, exhausted, and overwhelmed by the end of the day, only to then realize that you soon have to go to bed and repeat it all again the next day.

This happens to so many of us because, as women, we naturally put the needs of everyone else before our own, and don’t carve out time or space to take care of ourselves.

The problem is that you actually DO have time to take better care of yourself, but you’re likely filling these moments with things that do NOTHING for your soul. Things like scrolling social media, checking emails, or catching up on the many things you “should” be doing.

The key is developing a personalized plan for YOU so that you can fill these pockets of time with things that bring you joy and energy.

Now you might be thinking “Melissa, I don’t have time for self-care.”

I hear you…but true self-care does NOT have to take much time!

If you can carve out 5 minutes every single day (and I know you can!), you can use what I call the Connection Code to fill your cup and stop ending your days on empty.

In this episode I’m going to break down the Connection Code, and help you make 5 minutes feel like you spent hours taking care of yourself.

Why is that, and what can we do about it?

In this episode I get to interview Mollie Eastman, creator of Sleep Is A Skill and the host of the Sleep Is A Skill Podcast, and we’re going to dive into all things sleep.

There are many things the average person can do to influence their sleep results, and good sleep IS possible for you!

Do you ever feel selfish for wanting to take better care of yourself?

If you’re like a lot of women I know, you probably often take care of everyone else first, neglecting your own needs and desires.

I don’t know about you, but this is my default mode, and it’s EXHAUSTING!

And if you’re like me and the other women I talk to, you may also feel guilty at times for even WANTING something more or better. Maybe your life isn’t all that bad, but there’s still a longing for something more, like there’s something else for you out there.

Whether you’re aware of it or not, women all have this inner voice, this inner self that talks to us throughout the day. And over time, for whatever reason many of us have stopped listening to her.

In this episode, I'm going to teach you how to tap into that inner knowing and listen to what it's saying.

We’ll also learn how to take action on what comes up for you and REINVENT yourself as a woman to become more balanced, happy, joyful, and fulfilled.

By taking time to tap into this inner guidance & intuition and actually DOING what lights your soul on fire, you’ll be better able to show up as your best self in all areas of your life.

You DESERVE to carve this time out for yourself, to create the life you want. Recognize that it's okay to love your life and be happy with the roles that you play in it AND know that there's more out there for you!

I don't know about you, but one of my measures for how well I'm taking care of myself is how much I'm triggered, upset, or stressed out by things that happen in the outside environment (like traffic).

Can you relate? 🙋‍♀️

So if you’re a woman running around doing all the things and you absolutely know that you've got to take better care of yourself, but you have no idea how you're going to fit it in because you're doing all the things, this is the video for you.

By the end of this episode, you are going to have three self-care practices that you can do daily. And the best part is, they’re easy, quick, and effortless to implement.

In fact, you can even do these things while you're juggling work, tasks around the home, taking care of your children, or any of the other billion things that you do in a day.

I’m a busy mom of three, AND I help run multiple companies. There was a time when my health really suffered and I had to come up with strategies that I could use in my daily life to help make sure I was filling my cup while I was running around doing everything for everybody else.

In this episode I'm going to share the three tools that helped me turn things around and transform my life from rushed to rejuvenated.

Also, at the end of the episode, I am going to pass along a free gift to you that's going to help you implement these things and get yourself feeling more balanced, peaceful, and experience a state of ease throughout your day.

Not speaking up for yourself and what you want, need, and believe doesn’t just hurt you, but can hurt other people.

You aren’t doing this to be selfish. It’s actually what enables you to take good care of the people you love. And without it, you’ll crash and burn and usually take others down with you.

Today I want to share a true story with you that illustrates this idea perfectly.

It’s a powerful story that can create a bridge to completely change this for you in those situations where you're faced with either speaking up for yourself or staying quiet.

I hope it will help you pause and remember that it’s not just you and your well-being that’s on the line here, but other’s well-being as well.

So it’s not selfish. It’s self-less.

Strengthening this ability will help you start living a life out of your design rather than someone else's. Living a life that we choose rather than one we have to run away and escape from.

So join me in this episode if you’re ready to move from a state of stress, anxiety, feeling spread too thin, and maybe angry, resentful, or lonely, to a state of more ease, calm, balance, and joy in your life.

If you have ever experienced feelings of depression, anxiety, difficulty focusing, lack of motivation…and let's be honest, who of us hasn't experienced these at some point in our lives…this episode is going to be so chock full of resources for you.

In this episode I got to sit down with Olivia June Williams. Olivia is the co-founder of PYM, the mental hygiene company devoted to making safe, natural, and effective support that replenishes your mental health’s essential nutrients and builds healthy, balanced neurotransmitter function.

In addition to co-founding PYM, she founded and leads the App Store award-winning app, “Hey! VINA”, often referred to as the “Tinder for (girl) friends” that has connected millions of women in 158 countries and is backed by NEA, Greylock, and Match Group.

She's had some pretty dark tragedies that have happened to her family members, one of which is a household name that we all know…one of our favorite, most beloved actors, and how his tragic passing set her and her husband on a trajectory of creating a product to help impact mental health for the better.

We're going to talk all about neurotransmitters, so you can walk away with a deep understanding of these beautiful chemical messengers that we all have in our brains. We’ll talk about what they do, how we can use them, and what we can do to help them. And I'm so excited for her to share about the products that she and her husband, Zach, created.

It’s one of my favorite products. It's natural, it's clean, and it makes your brain feel so good. I love it.

And you're going to love this one.

Enjoy!

The cost of control is connection. And what children are always seeking is connection. Children will often try to get your attention (in both positive and negative ways) because they’re desiring to connect with you.

In this enlightening episode we are joined by Ginny Luther, a master instructor in Conscious Discipline. Ginny shares her deeply personal experiences and transformative insights on the profound power of connection in parenting.

Drawing inspiration from her touching book, "Blue Star Grit," she unpacks the essence of genuine connections with our children, especially when dealing with “difficult” or defiant children.

Key takeaways from the episode include:

Understanding Connection: The central theme is the inherent need for connection that every child seeks. While many label children as merely "attention-seeking," Ginny clarifies that gaining attention is a stepping stone to achieve connection. Through this connection, children look for comfort, understanding, and the chance to make sense of their world.

Brain Development and Connection: Connection is not just a heartwarming feeling; it is a critical factor in wiring the brain for impulse control, motivation, and self-regulation. By connecting with a child, we facilitate the brain's transition from a reactive state to a more controlled, responsive state.

Empathy and Playfulness: Ginny emphasizes that these two elements are vital in building strong, trustworthy bonds. Whether through empathetic interactions during challenging times or playful moments that strengthen relationships, both play crucial roles in nurturing the parent-child bond.

The Cost of Control: One of the episode's highlights is the understanding that in the pursuit of control, we often lose out on meaningful connections. The genuine essence of parenting lies in seeking connection rather than exerting control.

Join us in this heartwarming journey with Ginny Luther as she underscores the essence and importance of connecting with ourselves, and our kids.

It serves as a reminder for every parent to be truly present, fostering bonds that go beyond mere attention and delve into the heart of genuine, life-altering connections.

Enjoy!

“In conscious parenting, we're constantly bringing ourselves back into this place where we’re really listening to ourselves and letting parenting be this beautiful experience of knowing ourselves deeper and better. Which in my mind gives us a very clear avenue to know exactly who this child is without my projections (who I expect them to be or need them to be or want them to be).”

In this episode I get to interview Bryana Kappadakunnel. She is a licensed marriage and family therapist, an Infant-Family Early Childhood Mental Health Specialist, a Perinatal Mental Health Specialist-Certified, and a Certified Conscious Parenting Coach via Dr. Shefali’s training program.

This is a must listen for any parents. In this episode we get to talk about what conscious parenting is and what it isn't. So much of this episode is about giving yourself permission as a parent to not get it right 100% of the time.

She even shares some insight into how often we need to “get it right” in order to still create a secure, loving, lasting connection and bonds with our children (SPOILER ALERT…it's not as often as you think).

“Lymphatics is really like the mirror to the circulatory system. Our blood brings nutrients to every cell in our body, and the lymphatic system takes the waste products away so those cells aren’t bathing in toxic waste. And the problem is, if that doesn't move, if that lymph doesn't take it away, our cells break down faster, we end up with drainage and detox issues, we could develop methylation issues, etc. And because our lymphatic system doesn't have a pump, we have to move it.”

If you have ever wanted to know more about lymph drainage, specifically how to enhance and drain your lymph system at home on your own for free using things like dry brushing, gua sha, and more, this is going to be one of the best episodes you've ever seen. In this episode, I get to interview Dr. Caitlin Czezowski, who is an incredible lymph expert, and you're going to walk away with so many great tools that you can implement today to impact yours and your family's health.

There's simply one ingredient that you can avoid in your skin care products that will almost always ensure you’re selecting a healthy product. If it's listed in the product, especially as the first ingredient, put it back because when this one ingredient is in there, there are typically many other chemicals and toxins in there as well.

In this episode we dive deep into the world of skin care and sun protection with the remarkable Trina Felber, Founder of Primal Life Organics. Trina's journey, from her early career in a burn center to her personal experience with toxins in skin care, led her to create her own line of healthy, safe, and effective skin care and personal products.

Trina sheds light on the alarming presence of chemicals and toxins in MOST personal care products, which can impact not only our health, but also that of our children (and even unborn children when you use them during pregnancy!).

We also discuss the importance of detoxifying our bodies, and how our skin absorbs harmful substances, thanks to absorption enhancers found in many products.

Trina unveils some of her incredible skin care creations, such as the Coffee serum, Carrot seed products for different skin needs, and the rejuvenating Pomegranate line. She emphasizes the importance of maintaining collagen levels as we age and shares the benefits of using 2 specific oils to prevent collagen breakdown.

The conversation then transitions to sun protection, where Trina provides eye-opening insights. Discover the dangers of aerosol sprays and the false sense of security provided by many sunscreens. Trina highlights the natural SPF properties of plant oils, and the significance of opting for non-nano zinc oxide.

It was my goal to empower you to make informed decisions when it comes to skin care for you and your family, and this episode definitely delivered!!

Today we have an incredibly informative episode in store for you. Once again, I had the pleasure of sitting down with Dr. Michelle Jorgensen, a renowned biological dentist. I must say, I absolutely love picking this woman's brain!

For those of you who haven't had the chance yet, I highly recommend tuning in to our previous episode with Dr. Michelle (Episode 16). We touched on so many helpful topics in that conversation, including more of her inspiring journey of recovering from mercury toxicity.

In this episode we dive even deeper into oral health, addressing the multitude of questions and comments we received from our listeners following our last interview. I want to take a moment to express my gratitude for the overwhelming response we received. Your engagement truly made it clear how important this topic is to all of you!

In this discussion, Dr. Michelle and I take those questions to a whole new level, providing more comprehensive answers and insights. We aim to address the key concerns and curiosities that you, our listeners, expressed so passionately.

Additionally, I had the opportunity to ask Dr. Michelle about something that's been on my mind: How can we create and maintain the perfect mouth from birth? We explore the best tools, tips, and preventive measures that parents can implement to ensure their little ones develop strong teeth and avoid issues such as cavities, root canals, and other dental challenges down the road.

I cannot emphasize enough just how full of incredible information this episode is! Dr. Michelle's expertise and passion shine through in every word, and I have no doubt that you'll walk away from this conversation feeling enlightened and empowered to take control of you and your family’s oral health.

So grab your favorite beverage, sit back, and get ready to absorb all the wisdom and practical advice that Dr. Michelle Jorgensen has to offer. Let's embark on this journey together, exploring the world of biological dentistry and discovering how we can achieve optimal oral health.

If you're filled with toxins (and many of us ARE if we aren’t detoxifying the RIGHT way), you can feed your body all the nutrients you want, and your body will still be UNABLE to function and heal as it naturally should. You’ve got to clear the slate and THEN give it what it needs. Do that, and everything comes back to power.

This episode is so full of tangible information that has potential to TRANSFORM your and your family's health.

In this podcast I get to interview Dr. Chris Shade, who is the founder and CEO of one of my favorite supplement companies, Quicksilver Scientific.

Dr. Shade is one of the smartest people I know and can explain things so well, and my biggest struggle with this episode was to make sure we fit it all in!

With so much information out there (and much of it conflicting), my goal with this episode is to simplify this information for you and help you make decisions about what supplements would be best for YOU, based on your age and stage of life.

We also touch on how to detoxify gently (yet effectively) how to support your teens hormonal health, supplements to take after exercise, and supplements that pair well with specific modalities (like ice baths/cold therapy, sauna, & HBOT).

I'm so excited for you to hear this one and I would LOVE to hear your biggest takeaways! Let me know on Instagram or YouTube.

Enjoy!

“You get these signs of what you need to do in order to be in optimal shape physically, mentally and energetically. And it happens because on an energetic level there are impulses that support your body to be in this self-healing mode.”

This is such an exciting podcast! This is an episode where spirituality meets science, manifestation meets science, the power and the energy that we all have inside of us meets science.

In this podcast, I interview Philipp Samor von Holtzendorff-Fehling, founder of Leela Quantum Tech. Leela Quantum Tech is paving the way by creating health innovations that blend quantum healing energy with products that we can use, wear and surround ourselves with every single day.

They create products that help shift our energy field and counter harmful EMFs, which you can incorporate into your and your family's health care routine.

I post a lot of content about playing and tuning into your inner child and having fun throughout your day. And chances are good that if you’re listening to this podcast, you’re a busy mama with lots going on and it can feel hard to fit it all in.

As women we often naturally take care of everyone else first, and at the end of the day there’s just not much left for us.

That’s why it’s so important to create space in your day for things that breathe life into your heart and soul. Mornings are usually great because you can create this space before the rest of the house is up and at it, and I’ve created what I call my “Magical Mornings” that I’d love to share with you

I know it can be hard to figure this out on your own, so I created a 5-day challenge to walk you through the process and create your own magical morning! Head over to https://beinspiredmama.com/mornings and start your free challenge today!

Do what you can with what you have, being intentional and using your intuition. Listen to your body and do what it says with food, light, and relationships. Our bodies are really smart. And if we tap into that we can become our own healer.

As humans we are designed to need certain kinds of light (especially red and near-infrared). But in our modern world, we often don’t get enough of this healing and beneficial light, and instead get a lot of light that can be damaging (like blue & white light).

In this episode I get to interview Brian Richards, owner of Sauna Space, a company that combines cutting-edge incandescent infrared technology with the age-old (and proven) practice of sauna.

I have one of their photon lights and if you follow me on social media, you've seen the red light in my magical morning routine.

Brian and I cover how we can access the benefits of light both through nature, how these practices were woven into our daily lives ancestrally, and how we can recreate these benefits therapeutically with certain tools.

We also touch on the BALANCE of not letting therapies and biohacking overwhelm you, and to really go by what feels good.

“Bluetooth today is as strong as a wireless modem. It's pretty gnarly. Some of the new bluetooths can shoot more than 1,200 ft. Some can shoot almost 3,000 ft and stay connected. What worries me, which no one is testing, is the duration of time [in use] and the proximity to your brain. We don't know what's going to happen in 10 or 20 years from now. It's still too early. But what's scary is that it's getting more and more powerful.”

In this episode I interview Ben Salem, founder of one of my favorite products, WaveBlock.

If we start working WITH our physiology instead of AGAINST it, we’ll start to see a big shift in how we feel and function. When we do that, we’ll begin to see that we can still do all the things we want to do…be a mom, run a business, have a great relationship, etc…and actually feel GOOD along the way instead of feeling depleted and exhausted.

If you are a woman who has tried to juggle it all AND you have certain times during the month (due to your cycle) that affect the way you feel and perform, this episode is for you!

In this episode I get to talk with Dr. Laura DeCesaris, a functional medicine practitioner, health strategist, and female hormone expert, and we dive into what's going on each week of our cycle.

We discuss what’s going on hormonally in each phase, and how we can sync our cycles with biohacking tools, nutrition, and with our exercise routine.

We’ll even discuss how these changes affect our brains and performance, so we can begin to plan (as much as possible) and optimize our schedules and tasks around what’s peaking in each phase.

This podcast will also help give you permission during those weeks where you may not feel like doing so much to actually listen to your body and give it what it needs.

I'm so excited for you to walk away empowered with this information.

Enjoy!

Miesha Tate is a world champion UFC fighter. But it’s not the victories that made her who she is today; it was the losses. Because that's when she had to dig deep and choose whether she wanted to grow from those experiences or stay complacent. And as she says, complacency is where dreams go to die…

This episode is incredible.

You are going to walk away with so many tangible tools that you can use in your life to help you get through challenges, whether they're big challenges or the small, everyday challenges that we all experience.

In this episode we get to hear from Miesha Tate who is a UFC champion, she won Big Brother 3 Celebrity Edition, she's an entrepreneur, a mother of two…a real powerhouse!

And yet, she has struggles like the rest of us.

She is someone that we could all put on a pedestal, thinking she has it all together and doesn’t have bad days (or that if she does, her “bad” isn’t nearly as bad as the rest of us).

In this episode she is so real and vulnerable about the struggles that she has faced (and still faces) as well as the tools that she incorporates into her daily life that have made all the difference.

These are things that every single one of us can use every day, if we're willing to put them into practice and just start!

Conscious discipline isn't something we DO to kids...it's something we help them create INSIDE THEMSELVES, so they can have the resiliency to be able to go off into the world. When we give them conscious skills, it feels good to them. It feels respectful. It feels kind. It feels compassionate. It feels assertive, which helps them feel like their voice matters.

In this next episode, I get to interview Ginny Luther, a master instructor of conscious discipline.

I know many of us by now have heard certain buzzwords like mindfulness, being present, and conscious living.

In this episode with Ginny we talk about raising kids consciously. This is something that my kids are getting to take advantage of, as it's woven into their curriculum at school.

And I’m so excited to bring one of their instructors to YOU!

I hope you enjoy this episode!

Most of the toothpaste out there is BAD for you and your teeth. So what do we WANT in a toothpaste? All you need is something that'll clean the teeth off (like bentonite clay) and add minerals back (like hydroxyapatite). Those are the only two things you want.

In this episode I get to interview Dr. Michelle Jorgensen, who is a functional integrative dentist, and I am so excited to share this information with you.

Dr. Michelle was a dentist practicing for ten years when she started to have some really challenging symptoms that were negatively impacting her health and career. Through her own journey to return to health, she discovered the Health-Based Dentistry field.

She has created the Total Care Dental and Wellness Way, a patient CARE centric, health focused method for treating dental and overall health. She trains dentists on these science and research based methods through her Total Care Academy, and teaches the public through her growing platform called Living Well with Dr. Michelle.

In this episode we talk about her story, and then my favorite part of this episode is all the tools that you can incorporate right away in your family.

I went through a lightning round with her and I asked her a bunch of questions (like what are some of the best things and worst things for our teeth, what are some of the best foods, worst foods, best habits, worst habits, what should we have (and not have) in our toothpaste, etc.

This episode has so much information for you, and I am so eager for you to hear it.

015: When you create an open, loving environment, kids feel comfortable to make mistakes. And if they are comfortable making mistakes, that automatically increases their confidence level.

In this episode I get to interview Leila Center. Leila is the founder of the school that we put our children in here in Florida. And although I know most people listening to this probably aren't going to move to Miami and put their kids in this school, there's a lot that you can take away from this episode.

During our time together Leila and I cover the core values of the school. Core values are something that you can create in your own family. We've done this in ours, and it makes a big difference in the way that we parent our children and the things that we make time for together as a family.

We also talk about the main foundations of the school: Connection, love, and conscious discipline.

Conscious discipline is something that so many now have access to online. And there are coaches that you can find in your area, if you’re looking for help in your home or school.

There are so many good takeaways in this episode, even if you don't send your kids to this school.

I’m so excited for you to hear it and can't wait to hear your thoughts.

Most people’s systems are out of whack, with their sympathetic nervous system (fight flight or freeze mode) dominating. This leaves you functioning as a very reduced version of yourself because all your energy is reverted to the parts of your brain that just help you survive. Kava helps reset that and build up the parasympathetic nervous system, which is the state where your body can heal and recover, where you can connect with people, and where you can open up your higher aspirations cognitively and emotionally as well.

In this next interview, I get to spend some time with someone who has become a dear friend, Cameron George. Cameron is the co-founder of one of my favorite products called Tru Kava.

I met Cameron about five years ago, where he was serving kava at an event I was attending. I had my first sample of this beverage that's been around for thousands of years in the South Pacific, and I was blown away. I felt so good. I felt euphoric. I felt my heart was open.

I had this massive desire to connect with people and for social interaction. Normally I would reach for alcohol in order to have that feeling, but this was so much better.

I love that this is a natural product that not only feels good in the moment, but can actually change my brain over time for the better.

In this episode, Cameron shares his incredible story of such adversity, nearly losing his life to chronic illness and how kava actually pulled him through. And that's why he's doing what he does now, bringing kava to the masses. He also shares tons of great information about kava (what it is, what it isn’t, what it does, uses for it, etc.).

I am so excited for you to listen to this guy. He just spews information, so get ready!

013: When it comes to nutrition and overall health, every bite counts…especially for our children! And most of the food out there for babies and kids is terrible. So what are parents supposed to do? Serenity Kids can help!

In this podcast I interview Joe and Serenity Carr, the co-founders of Serenity Kids.

I met Joe and Serenity about a year ago at an event, and I knew when I started this podcast that I wanted to have them on here.

As you may or may not know, my mission is to impact the health of generations to come, and I know that we do that through the moms. Joe and Serenity created one of the most incredible “first food” products (food pouches and puffs) for children.

They source the best ingredients and their macronutrients are very well balanced. They even have a healthy baby formula, and it’s the only formula I would ever recommend.

They have an incredible story of overcoming health challenges that were caused by poor food and diet when they were young.

Over the years, as they cleaned up their own diet, they found a lot of healing and wellness in their body and mind.

When they had their own child, they discovered that the food for babies contained all the stuff they had cut out of their own diet. Serenity Kids was born out of their desire to create healthy and nutritious food for their own baby.

Those first foods, the first things that we put in our kid’s bodies are so important. So whether you have a baby, or you know someone with a baby, or perhaps someone in your family is thinking about having a baby, please share this podcast with them. It could very well change their kids' lives for the better and eliminate years of suffering.

Thank you!

012: Most people don’t want to change. But if you really want to change, you have to do the work. What’s the work? Listen to this podcast episode to find out! Khalil Rafati is the founder of SunLife Organics. It's not just a smoothie or a juice shop. It's a place for transformation and human connection, a place where people can go and really feel truly that they're loved and that they matter.

He has an amazing and powerful story. In this conversation with Khalil you’ll hear how he went from the lowest of lows (living on the streets of Skid Row in downtown Los Angeles, addicted to heroin and cocaine) to how he got sober, and over time how he changed and grew into the man he is today.

011: It sounds so cliche, but everything is happening FOR you, not TO you. And the minute you change your mindset to that, all the challenges that you go through will make you stronger. Challenges in your life give you a new perspective, and are the greatest spiritual teachers.

In this next episode, I get to bring to you Brisa Hennessy, who is an incredible professional surfer that we had the pleasure of meeting a few years ago when we brought hyperbaric oxygen therapy to the North Shore for the World Surf Competition.

Brisa was someone who instantly blew me away when I first met her. This woman is one of the best surfers in the world, and yet one of the most humble, real, down to earth, vulnerable, open chicks I've ever met in my life.

010: Before we can even get out of fight or flight, we have to start becoming a partner with our brain and body and not fighting them. Because as long as we feel like we're enemies and we're fighting our brain or we're fighting our body, we're perpetuating fight or flight within ourselves.

This interview with Ashleigh Di Lello could change your life.

In this episode, Ashleigh and I talk about the incredible power of the brain.

When Ashleigh was just 13, she was faced with a terminal diagnosis. She was told by doctors that she could never dance again, that she wouldn't live long enough to get married or have children, and that she wouldn't make it past her teenage years.

But she refused to accept this, and set out on a journey to find another path. This led her to discover how you can heal your body with the power of your brain.

Ashleigh is the founder and creator of Bio Emotional Healing, a revolutionary method based in neuroscience that helps her clients around the world finally break free from emotional trauma, limiting beliefs, anxiety, and chronic pain to thrive in their lives! Ashleigh defied the odds and has been an elite athlete, a TV & Broadway star, and has become an entrepreneur, mind coach, and motivational speaker.

In this episode she shares two incredible and tangible tools that you can use daily to RESPOND instead of reacting to whatever life throws at you.

009: When you experience hardships and trials along your journey to improve your life, think of it like this: It’s a chance to prove how bad you want it, how far you’re willing to go, and how hard you’re willing to work.

If you go ALL IN and prove your commitment, then the universe (or source, God, or whatever speaks to you) will roll out the red carpet for you and give you what you’re working toward.

I recently made a commitment to myself that I am going to become the healthiest version of myself.

I felt this in every inch of my body, that this was something that excited me and was a commitment that I was making to myself for the next year.

Within a day or so of declaring this, my voice got all raspy and I was feeling really run down.

Of course this would happen!

Many people have a victim mindset and get derailed when things don’t go as planned.

But I don’t play that game, and I don’t want you to play it either.

So let’s talk about what it looks like to go all in and turn challenges and obstacles into opportunities to rise up and develop resilience.

008: Evolving, changing our programing, or stepping beyond trauma is a process, and it's not going to be perfect. It often looks like two steps forward, one step back. But that’s the way the world works. Just realize that every time you work through something, especially when it’s something you thought you’ve already addressed, there's often a different lesson or additional layer to work through.

This episode is with my dear friend Joseph Anew. Joseph is a health, fitness, and nutrition expert. He and his wife run an event called Runga, which is one of my favorite events we go to every year.

Joseph has undergone immense personal transformation, especially since the birth of his son. We talk about how certain events in our lives will create a fork in the road where we can choose which path we want to take.

How things happen for us, not to us, and set us on a trajectory that has the power to change our lives.

We also talk about how growth and change can affect the relationships around you.

007: Everybody has dark days, everybody has shadows…myself included! Eventually I realized that I didn't want to live in the dark anymore, and I made a conscious choice to change my life. And what you're seeing now is the effect of gradual work on myself. And I hope that by sharing this, it helps you understand that if I can do it, you can do it, too.

This is the hardest, most vulnerable content I have ever made.

👉🏽Very few people other than my family know about this part of my life. Like many of you, I became a ninja at hiding the parts of me that I didn’t want others to see.

I’m following my heart on this one and even though it's scary as hell, I’m sharing this with the world. If this can help even ONE person get UNSTUCK, it’s worth putting myself out there.

I'm thankful that I was able to get to a place where I could make a ✨CHOICE to move forward, taking one step at a time to get me out of the heaviness I was feeling. It wasn’t always easy, but it was 🤗WORTH it.

I know many don’t make it that far and it's not an easy choice for all. ♥️

🥺 I've seen so many struggle over the past few years and it just seems like it's still taboo to talk about and I want to change that. 😇

When you show up with 💥TRUST, 💥VULNERABILITY & 💥AUTHENTICITY you will inspire others to do the same and will meet some ✨INCREDIBLE people along the way.

It’s scary, but its worth it‼️

For me, I’m going ⭐️ALL IN. This is 🤗ME. I’m not hiding any of it anymore. I hope that we all stop hiding the sides of us that feel dark, vulnerable, scary and shameful.

👉🏽We all have them, we are all human. We’re all here doing the best that we can and we have the ability to create some incredible connections and live life to the fullest if were willing to go all in.

♥️For anyone struggling please know you’re not alone. You can text HOME to 741-741 for a crisis text line.

006: When you cater to your child’s need for play, you can get your cup of coffee or tea and drink it while it's still hot. You can go do laundry, read a book, write those emails, or have a zoom meeting. Your children will be absorbed in a way that you never thought possible, without a screen.

My friend Avital runs an incredible parenting and family platform (Hi, Fam!).

During a season where she was mostly solo parenting, Avital felt exhausted at the end of every day. It felt like she was chasing her tail just trying to keep a semblance of order while also providing for her kid’s needs. Between that, taking care of the home, and working a job to make ends meet while her husband was in a demanding residency (and gone a lot), life was very chaotic and busy…yet it felt like she got nothing done.

Can you relate?

She wanted to find a way to help meet her kid’s needs while also allowing herself to get important things done, and have some moments to herself, without resorting to using screens all the time.

So using her background in design and with a lot of testing and trial and error, she created 5 play zones that helped her kids play independently for hours a day (yes…hours!), while also developing their skills, which is really what play is designed to do.

All mammal cubs are hard wired to play. It’s how they develop the skills necessary to become a functioning adult. Play helps kids develop psychologically, emotionally, socially, academically, and physically.

When you use these 5 play zones, you can cater to all of these needs AND give yourself pockets of time to do the things you need to do (or just read a book, take a phone call, or go to the bathroom by yourself!)

It may sound too good to be true, but it works. I've used her tools and they're incredible. My kids went from always needing screens in order for me to have a moment to myself or get something done around the house, to learning how to play on their own.

In addition, she's going to share some thoughts and ideas on creating family goals with your partner so that you can make day-to-day decisions that get you closer to the vision you have for your family.

Enjoy!

005: A year after having her twins, Lauren had a grand mal seizure. It was a big wake up call for the way she was living, not putting herself first.

“You feel like you're not doing anything well enough. I wasn't with my kids and connecting with them enough. I wasn't doing my job as an entrepreneur enough. I wasn't taking care of myself and my body enough.

So I really had to take space and time to sift through my day to day to figure out what is serving me, for my higher being of myself, my kids, and my business, and what is not.

And from that moment on, I literally have made sure that I do something for myself every day, making space for it.”

In case you don’t know who Lauren is, she is the co-founder of one of the most incredible companies, HigherDOSE (which we talk about in the episode).

She is a health enthusiast, a gorgeous fitness model, and an authentic woman who talks about the struggle of PTSD after the birth of her twins.

What I love about Lauren is that she figured out how to get herself out of that hole by using some really incredible health tools.

Not only did she do that, but she wants to help other women do the same (with her company, with her amazing YouTube series, Biohack-Hers, and by sharing her story).

Be prepared to hear from a woman who has gone through the depths, tried so many things, and shares what she’s learned through it all.

You're not gonna wanna miss this one and you're absolutely gonna wanna share this with all your girlfriends.

Enjoy!

003: Many moms don’t understand that they have this amazing power within them. You’re stronger than you know and it just naturally comes out of you when you need it most. But you can’t give up! Don’t quit. Don’t lose hope. You have to keep pushing forward and make sure you're taking care of yourself and putting yourself around positive people who lift you up, encourage you, and support you.

This is a podcast you do not wanna miss!

Join me and Shannon Kenitz as she talks about the challenges in her life and the many setbacks that would've knocked any woman off her feet.

Hear how she not only survived, but she has set herself on a trajectory of success and is helping so many other women deal with challenges and setbacks that life throws their way.

Shannon is the Executive Director of the International Hyperbarics Association. The IHA is a non-profit organization that promotes the use of hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) for neurological conditions through education, research, and funding of treatments for families in need. She has received many awards and honors for her work in the field of hyperbaric medicine.

We’ll discuss things like:

  • How HBOT saved her daughter’s life.
  • Things happen for us, not to us.
  • It’s ok to grieve the loss of what you thought you would have
  • Allow yourself to feel sad, but don’t stay there.
  • Surround yourself with other women who lift you up and help you grow
  • Communicate the hard things and have the tough conversations

One of the main reasons I've created this platform is to share stories of women who are transforming struggles into victories. I think this is something we all need in the age of Instagram and filters and everything looking so perfect and easy, to share the real side of life. And this episode with Shannon does just that!

So grab a favorite beverage (and a box of tissues while you’re at it) and enjoy this conversation with Shannon Kenitz!

002: It's so important to build your tribe of women who support you. Women who are collaborative, not competitive. Women who lift us up and cheer us on when we win, and support us when we lose.

In this episode you’ll hear from my dear friend Dr. Mindy Pelz.

Dr. Mindy is a renowned holistic health expert and one of the leading voices in educating women about their bodies.

There is nothing that she loves more than empowering people to take back control of their health. Her Youtube channel featuring fasting and alternative health tips has garnered over 26 million lifetime views. She is the author of three bestselling books: The Menopause Reset, The Reset Factor, and The Reset Kitchen. And her members-only Facebook group, The Resetter Collaborative, includes over 50,000 active members who regularly participate in Dr. Mindy’s exclusive monthly “Fast Training Week” programs.

In the midst of developing her impressive professional career, Dr. Mindy and her husband raised 2 amazing kiddos (who are now grown and out of the house), and it’s THIS side of Dr. Mindy…Mindy the mom…that we’ll discuss in this episode.

We talk about many things that most women & moms deal with and think about, but don’t always talk about.

Things like:

  • Mom guilt
  • Worrying about your children and their future
  • Feelings of loneliness
  • Feeling judged by other women
  • Regrets

We also discuss some very practical things, such as:

  • How to navigate "depriving" your kids of unhealthy treats.
  • Instilling values into your kids.
  • Getting through the tough teenage years.
  • Working through emotions.
  • Building your tribe.

I’m so excited for you to hear this conversation with Mindy and see this side of her that many don’t get to see.

001: This episode with my dear friend Anne Yacht has the potential to make a major impact on your life.

You know how people are constantly telling us to take better care of ourselves so that we can take better care of others?

It's like a broken record. Yes, we get it. We need to do those things. But how?

Life can be so crazy. If you’re in the throes of motherhood, you’re doing all the things. Groceries, meal prep, laundry, work, emails, social media, chauffeuring the kids, etc.

It can be so easy to distract ourselves with the busy and mundane details of life, and avoid the questions and work that can lead to a life of meaning and fulfillment.

In this episode Anne shares so many incredible tools that you can literally implement for free, every single day.

We talk about a few things I did with her during a deep immersion in Park City, and she shares a lot of the tangible tools that I took away from that experience here on this podcast.

Enjoy!
