A Holy Mess

Fr. Paul Houlis is, in no way, His Holiness, but he sure is, “His HoliMess.” Are we not all, in some way, “A Holy Mess?” After all, holiness is messy. It’s not some clean-cut, pure, perfect, distant thing. No! We live in a messy world, and God entered into the depths of its “messiness” and made it “holy”. Paul Houlis is a Roman Catholic priest for the Archdiocese of Newark, New Jersey. He was ordained on May 28’th, 2011. Before entering the seminary, he pursued a career in stand-up comedy and acting. Fr. Paul knows from personal experience that one’s life can truly be a “beautiful mess”, a.k.a, “a holy mess.” He wants to use his humor and entertainment skills to bring a positive message of faith, hope, and love to those who think they’re just “too messy”. He wants listeners to know that God doesn’t merely just clean the mess of one’s life, but He actually uses the mess. He turns our mess into a message of hope. If Fr. Paul can be “holy”, then anyone and everyone can!!! Trust us! Fr. Paul Houlis is a native of New Jersey. Born and raised in Garfield, New Jersey. He went to Paramus Catholic High School. Bergen Community College, Seton Hall University, and Immaculate Conception Seminary.
