Do you think a player can just ask for his "lucky number" on draft day? Um, no! Effective in 2021, NFL legislates under rule 5, section 1, Article 2 of their rule book the 6 categories of jersey numbers and which position is eligible for that number. The sheer size of rosters (53 players in total, plus practice squad players) can make it difficult for teams to assign numbers to certain position groups, especially for teams which have more than a few retired numbers. And for whatever reason, stay away from 46!  Of all numbers, 29 is considered "lean and fast."
"I'll take 29 for jersey numbers Alex"

THE BEST EPISODE OF FINGERTIPS ON THE LACES YET!!!!!!

It’s only fitting that our Super Bowl episode is epic and features the world famous “Lights Out Lytle” aka Chris Lytle of UFC MMA fame. We thought we’d add a “Y chromosome” element to discuss why it’s so important for women to have their own voice in the world of football. Chris shares his thought on whether “trash talk” has a place the pre-game hype, Tom Brady’s likelihood of success in the booth, is Artificial Intelligence needed for officiating, who he KNOWS will win the super bowl and why he’s a raving fan of Fingertips on the Laces. Marketing wizards Becca Presley from Washington State, Erica Knapp from Toronto Canada and Cindy Code from Cleveland Ohio pitch in with opinions on how to improve officiating, tailgate fare, and how they see Sunday unfolding. Kim Hodous is live from Honolulu with her “homer” guarantee for a Chiefs lock win.

“If you can’t get a seat at the table ladies, build your own table.” Beth Berry

Hey ladies, we are breaking the "turf ceiling" with more and more female sportscasters, but who are the women talking to other women about football? You found us! This week in our inaugural show, Beth Berry chats up some of her favorite NFL fan chicks from across the United and States and even Canada. We're actually everywhere, we've just never really had a seat on the bench until now. Bengals, Chiefs, Jags, Cowboys, Eagles, 49ers, Bills or Giants? Who ya got this weekend? Who will be the playmakers? What ya got planned for your tailgate? And don't forget the Weekly Clipboard. Most modern day sportscasters throw around terms and acronyms like they are preaching to the choir. Yea, we love football but almost none of us have played, so fill us in on these details. Beth provides instruction you can understand for football verbiage, strategy and terms. This week she explains why quarterback place their fingertips on the laces of a football before launching. Who wants to join us next week!

Beth Berry adds new NFL chick fans this week and the Browns, Bills and Cowboys get some love.  More importantly we take a deep dive on the "final four" quarterbacks for what is shaping up to be one of the best NFL championship weekends of all time; Joe "Snow" Burrow, Patrick Mahomes, "Cinderella" Brock Purdy, and why the hell is no one talking about Jalen Hurts? We've placed our FanDuel bets, lined up the weekly tailgate and dish about the HUGE weekend ahead. In the Weekly Clipboard, Beth explains what it means to "be in the pocket" and no we aren't talking about Tom Brady's jeans. (lightbulb for future episode). Who's joining next week for our pre Super Bowl hype?
