After processing the initial pain of that news, she and her husband began researching other ways to grow their family. Ultimately, their hearts were led to a path of surrogacy.

Julie Hollister is a wife, mom and Association Director of Youth & Family services at her local YMCA. She started a weight loss journey several years ago, and her success in that arena led her on a quest for complete wholeness; body, mind and spirit. As she started sharing her meals on Instagram to hold herself accountable, her engaging spirit and relatability quickly grew her platform and today she is a bona fide social media influencer. Her platform of 20K+ followers tune in daily to learn from her lived experience, and receive the encouragement she so authentically provides.

In this episode Julie, and Let My People Glow host Kristin, talk about what true wellness looks like, the benefits of connection and community, the importance of mental health in transforming our physical health, and what it means to have influence. Julie shares about the challenges of miscarriage, mental barriers that hold us back from achieving our goals, how body dysmorphia can challenge our perception, and how social media can be both helpful and harmful in our quest to be our very best selves.

Looking to become part of a community where:

... ordinary people share their extraordinary stories of growing and glowing through the worst and best this life?

... those who are running low on glow can come get plugged in and be recharged, so they can shine brilliantly again!

... experts in healing, growing, and glowing share  their expertise and passion to guide us in becoming our very best selves through hope, healing, and restoration?

Then get ready! We’re going to talk seriously about the ugly, the controversial, the painful, and the hidden. But we’re not going to take ourselves too seriously, because laughter is the best medicine, and as Stephenson once said “There’s nothing like a little judicious levity”.

If you’re ready for some light-igniting impactful conversations, and prescriptive dialogue on how to navigate through the things in life that steal our GLOW, I hope you’ll like and subscribe to Let My People Glow wherever you listen to podcasts, and be on the lookout for our first episode debuting in early November 2022!
