Hey everyone, so this week we want to talk about guidance, most specifically God's guidance in your life. Are you letting Him lead you or are you trying to do things your way?
From Exodus chapter 33 verse 14 and 15, “He said, My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest. And He said to them, if your presence will not go with me, do not bring us up from here.”
Few would envy Moses in the task God called him to complete. Imagine leading millions of people for 40 years through an uninhibited wilderness. Logistically, it took a miracle to provide food, water, and medical treatment for such a sizable and nomadic people. On top of this, the people were often filled with complaints and plots of rebellion. A three day family road trip can be difficult enough. Can you imagine a 40 year trip?
Moses was wise enough to know what really mattered in life, to have God's presence in his life. God's presence includes his direction, protection, and blessings upon us and our families. Jesus told his disciples to abide in him, which meant to live in obedience and faithful relationship with him. God wants to be present with us. When God is present in our lives, there is rest and peace.
God is always with us and he wants to direct us on the right path. Our path we try to lead is not always the right way. If we take time to listen to God and listen to his direction, you'll be amazed at the amount of blessings and security and protection you will have just by following God.
Let me finish with a prayer for us. God, I thank you for the promise today that your presence will go with me and give me rest. May I faithfully follow you and enjoy your goodness in my life today. Give me the protection and guidance you so desire for me. And Father, I pray that I can hear you clearly and follow your direction. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
This week we are talking about counting our blessings. From Genesis chapter 49 verse 26, “The blessings of your father are mighty beyond the blessings of my parents, up to the bounties of the everlasting hills. May they be on the head of Joseph, and on the brow of him who was set apart from his brothers.”
Jacob had lived a long life filled with a few high points but also much conflict. He lost the love of his life as she birthed their final son Benjamin. He lost his son Joseph through a scheme of his other jealous sons who sold Joseph into slavery and deceived their father that he had been killed. When Jacob was later reunited with Joseph in Egypt, he reflected on his life before Pharaoh, calling his 130 years few and unpleasant, and not living up to his father's before him. But 17 years later he assessed his life differently, saying that God had indeed blessed him even more than his own parents.
What changed? Jacob began to count the rich mercies of God in his life. It's easy to encounter adversity and think our lives are without meaning. We can focus on people who disappoint us, work that is difficult, or life that seems unfulfilled. Or we can focus on the many ways God has blessed us. How do you look at your life day in and day out? Do you look at the negative? Or do you look at the blessings that you've been given each day in everything that you do? Always remember God's mercy is for you, it's for me, it's for everyone. Count your blessings each and every day, no matter how little they are, because God gives them to you because he loves you.
Let me finish out with a prayer for us. God, today I choose to be thankful. Today I will put aside my complaints and take time to remember your goodness in my life. Thank you for your faithfulness, your protection, and the many ways you demonstrate that you love me. In your precious name we pray, Amen.
So this week we're going to talk about God's endless supply of blessings that he gives us, no matter
what situation you're going through. From Romans chapter 8 verse 32, “He who did not spare his own son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?”
Discouragement, loneliness, and despair can find their way into our lives. The one thing we can rest assured in during those seasons of life is that our Lord is continuously faithful to his people. The creator God did not hesitate in giving his own son on behalf of the sinners in order to reconcile us back to himself.
How much more will he give us in our time of need? He is an endless well of resources that brings forth life, vitality, and security. Even in your darkest time, even in your most troubled time, God has so many things for you and he brings that vitality and security. When the world strips us of our pride, hope, and assurance, he is the blanket that brings restoration to the soul. We have a heavenly father who is good to his children. We are all God's children and no matter what bad things may continuously keep happening, God's endless supply of love, grace, and mercy will always continue.
So let me pray for us, Lord Jesus, forgive me when I doubt the sufficiency of your love. Your cross has displayed your love and the resurrection has proclaimed your faithfulness. Teach me to trust that you hold me in your hand. I am grateful for you and all the blessings that you have given me. I give you all the glory and the praise. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
Everybody has anxiety at some point in their time, whether it be trying to plan for a trip or trying to make it for work. But this week we want to talk about the topic of anxiety steals. From Philippians, chapter 4, verse 6: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be made known to God.”
Today the pressures of getting there, or wherever there might be, is the undergirding drive and influence that stimulates a posture of anxiety that steals the beauty of the now. What will best serve your own heart is the ability to strive toward God's purpose while simultaneously embracing your current season of life. Don't look ahead at the price of neglecting what the Lord has blessed you with now.
Whether you're in a season of sorrow or joy, plenty or want, chaos or peace, make the best use of the time, and live each day with a zeal for the Lord. Give thanks to the Lord for blessing you in your current season of life, and don't waste these learning opportunities by looking ahead to a season of life that you haven't even reached yet.
It's natural to be anxious about many things, but when looking ahead to trying to plan for next week or even a few days from now, remember God is giving you today for a reason. Do not take advantage of the day that you've been blessed with. Tomorrow is never guaranteed. So don't worry, don't be anxious, take a deep breath, everything will turn out alright. But just remember to always take it one day at a time.
Let me finish out from prayer for us. Lord Jesus, forgive me for not trusting you. Posture my heart in a fashion of hope that grounds itself in who you are. Grant me a proper view of you. Help me to be calm and relaxed, and Lord, I know that you will get me through whatever season I may be going through. In Jesus name we pray, amen.
What kind of relationships to you have?
So this week we're talking about relationships, whether it be with friends, family, co-workers, whatever it may be. What kind of relationships do you have with people you know?
From Proverbs chapter 27 verse 17, “As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend.”
This verse from Proverbs produces such strong mental imagery. One can almost see the blacksmith's hammer poised momentarily above his head before it descends with a resounding clang on the glinting broad side of a dull sword. Or perhaps the scene shifts to the midst of a heated battle where men's fates are sealed as swords collide. Whether you side more with the vision of the blacksmith or the soldier, there is a seemingly violent and almost destructive nature to this process of iron sharpening iron. What an interesting picture the author of Proverbs chose to represent friendship.
Now the question is, do you have iron in your life? That person who either attacks or defends in any given situation. Or maybe they just constantly bang against you, flattening you more and more with each blow. While we may prefer to be with people who are easy going and always agree with us, it is these seemingly more conscientious relationships that sharpen our character. As we parry with them back and forth, our arguments are honest and convictions solidified. If nothing else, they give us so many opportunities to practice patience, forgiveness, and grace. And let us not forget that we give others those same opportunities as we are the iron in their lives as well.
Relationships are not easy, they are difficult. But as Proverbs says, iron sharpens iron. You may have someone that is helping to sharpen you, but are you helping to sharpen them? Let me finish out with a prayer for us. God, help me to love the people you have placed in my life, even if it is uncomfortable. I am willing to endure the hard work of developing my character while helping others do the same. Help me to be the person you want me to be. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
Tell Them and share your story on how God is working in you!
Hey everyone, I wanted to try something a little different this week and instead of doing my intro, just go right into it. Let me know what you think about this at the end of the message if you like this kind of style. I will keep going with it.
So this week we are talking about what it's like to tell people about what Jesus has done for you in your life. So from Psalm 145 verse 4, “Parents will tell their children what you have done. They will retell your mighty acts.”
We know an experience has profoundly changed us when we begin telling others about it. There is great power in stories and the most powerful stories are those of God changing us. Throughout your life, God has worked to bring transformation, blessing, and wisdom. You're an expert in how God has worked in your life.
No doubt each of us has a favorite story. We connect to stories in an incredible way and the fastest route to a person's heart is through story. You're an expert in your story and sharing the ways God has worked in your life. It is not only your responsibility but also one of the most effective ways to explain how God works within us. It helps the more famous stories of the Bible feel more alive when you know the same God is at work right now with someone you love. Tell people what the Lord has done and is doing in your life.
Sharing your story with others can have a major impact on them. No matter how small you might think it might be or even how big, just that moment of story could impact that other person and help change their life. You never know, your story might inspire them to tell you about their story and in that moment you're in fellowship together. So don't be afraid to talk about what God and Jesus has done in your life. Just like me, I enjoy telling the story of how God is working in me and continuing to working in me because sometimes my simple story has a profound impact on that other person and it might be something that they need to hear.
So let me finish out for a prayer with us. God, please help me to be authentic in talking with others about how you are at work. I want them to know you by hearing about the work you're doing in me. Remind me that my story is powerful and that you have given me experiences precisely so I can share them with others. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
Do you wonder if is worth to keep doing what is right and good?
So recently had a conversation with someone in our discussion. He brought up the fact that for him, he feels like always doing good and what is right is seems to be boring and that he likes to spice things up. He even asked, is it worth it to always do the right thing and to do good?
So this week in this topic, I found a scripture that kind of goes along with this and from second Thessolians chapter three, verse 13, “As for you brothers, do not grow weary in doing good.”
The question is, is it worth it to keep doing what is right and good? It sure is. It may be thankless and difficult, but it's always worth it. You might feel like it doesn't matter or that nobody notices how hard you work to live how God says to live. Perhaps you feel cheated because despite your efforts, things aren't working.
Well, I say to you, keep going. Don't grow weary. Now it's possible you won't see the results of your devotion, but nothing you give to God is fruitless. Lower your shoulders, keep your head up and keep pressing on. Every decision you make to do what is good gives God one more tool in his toolbox and he is working to build something beautiful in your life. Keep going. It is worth it. It's always worth doing good and doing what is right. Doing what is wrong to spice things up for you just will have negative consequences. Any way you look at it, it's always going to come back to you, but doing what is right and good constantly is totally worth it. You may not see the results of it now, but it will definitely come to you and God is paying attention to everything that you're doing.
So let me finish out with a prayer for us. God strengthen me to keep living how you asked me to live. Give me the endurance to make the decisions that please you. Even when I'm worn, I pray you will restore my energy and help me to keep moving forward toward the life you want me to have. Thank you for being with me and for helping me live a life of doing good. In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.
Do you sometimes wonder when you read in the Bible, and it says in there when Jesus was washing the feet of his disciples, what that meant? From John chapter 13 verse 4 and 5, “He got up from the table, took off his robe, wrapped a towel around his waist, and poured water into a basin. Then he began to wash the disciples' feet, drying them with the towel he had around him.”
We have to remember Jesus was a servant and demonstrated this with his disciples the night before he died. After they entered the room where he would eat his final meal, he picked that moment to do the lowliest task a servant could do, wash feet. Jesus did this not out of the false humility or to receive praise. In fact, one of his disciples, Peter, chastised him for it.
Men can wear a lot of hats, friends, co-worker, boss, son, brother, father, uncle, just to name a few. But there are so many people in our lives we are called to serve in love. One of the easiest ways to share the gospel with them and to teach them the character of God is to serve them in the way Jesus served others. It doesn't mean you have to go wash their feet. What it means is each day we have opportunities to wash the feet of those around us through selfless and sometimes humiliating acts of service. We can clean up their mess. We can show mercy and grace when judgment is warranted. We can consider them greater than ourselves and spend time with them in ways that honor them and not us. We need to serve like Jesus. Serving others gives glory to God. It makes him happy. It makes him see that we are doing the work that Jesus called us to do.
So finish now with a prayer. God, I am the servant. You are my Lord. I'm here to serve you so that others see you. Help me to remember that when I serve the people in my life in honesty and humility that I magnify you alone. Father, help me to help those around me and to serve those that are in need. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
What does the word obedience mean to you?
Take a second to think about that. From Esther chapter 4 verse 16, “Go and gather together all the Jews of Susa and fast for me. Do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. My maids and I will do the same. And then though it is against the law, I will go in to see the king. If I must die, I must die.”
God regularly asks us to produce a specific result. What he most frequently asks of us is simply obedience. We don't always know what the result might be, or even what God's will is in a certain moment. What we can be sure of is that he desires our devotion and commitment no matter the consequences.
Esther was unsure what would come of her action, but she was certain it was what she needed to do. The result would possibly be death, but her only concern was obedience. We can miss opportunities to serve God when we focus on the outcome. God's desire is to grow us through an experience and to have us trust him with whatever happens. Life with God is not about results, it's about obedience.
There's opportunities every single day for you to be obedient to God. Sometimes you might be afraid to know what direction to go in, or what decision to make, whether it's the right one or the wrong one. But God wants you to take a step of faith. It may be uncomfortable, but God doesn't want you to be comfortable. The devil wants you to be comfortable so he can lurk and seek and destroy. But God does his best work when you're uncomfortable and you take that step of faith. Trusting in him no matter what the circumstances are that he will provide the outcome that you're looking for. It may not always be what you want, but God will use that opportunity as a stepping stone. If you're in a tough situation and you're trying to figure out what to do, just ask God to help you. Take that step of faith though.
So let me just finish with a prayer for us. God, thank you for inviting me to be part of what you're doing in the world. I confess I often worry about what might happen instead of trusting you to work through every situation. Remind me that it pleases you when I obey and that you want to take care of the rest. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
Do you know people who need God?
Everyone hope everybody's doing well and you've had a blessed week. When you go through your day to days, do you take every opportunity to share your goodness with other people that you interact with? Every day you come across someone that comes across your path, whether it be a friend, co-worker, family member, there's an opportunity there to share the good news with them.
It's from Colossians chapter 4 verse 5 through 6. “Live wisely among those who are not believers and make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be gracious and attractive so that you will have the right response for everyone.”
Think about it, who are the people around you who need God? I want you to take a deep breath, close your eyes, and consider those who are close to you that for one reason or another are not following God. Is there someone in your family? Perhaps one of your friends? A co-worker? A neighbor? Having the right response for someone is not really about knowing how to win an argument. It's much more about living in such a way through the circumstances of life that others take notice. You want others to see a wellspring of strength and a daily resource in you. You want them to think there's something different about him. He has a piece I need.
When that moment comes, you want to be ready and to share about the source of your strength and courage. It is in the everyday moments that your life has its greatest impact. How others see you in the routines, accidents, stresses, and relationships will reveal to them who you truly are and what you truly have. How you live in your everyday life could make the difference between someone finding God or continuing to live apart from him. You never know what that difference might be to that other person. So when you have time in your interactions with others, take the time to show them that you're what strength you have in your courage and that God gives you that strength and courage. It could help that other person and it could turn things around for them.
So just a prayer for us. God, let me live constantly in your patterns every day so I may be ready to share at any moment how great you are. God help me to share the good news that you have. God help me to show the strength and courage that you have given me to show others that they too can have that same strength and courage. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
Do you take time to pray?
Blessings everyone. I hope everyone is doing well. I sincerely apologize for a delayed podcast message as we all suffered losses. I recently had lost a very close friend of mine, best friend unexpectedly, and I just need to take a little time away to to go through that. While going through the loss and dealing with it, I spent a lot of time in prayer. And this week's message I thought would be fitting to kind of entitle, “Devoted to Prayer.” From Colossians chapter 4 verse 2, “Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart.”
Stop everything you're doing, even for just a few minutes and pray. Put aside your anxieties, put to rest your weighted burdens, and have a conversation with God. Take a moment to pray for your own relationship with God. What has he done in your life that makes you thankful? Where do you need to realign yourself with his spirit? What requests, what needs could you put in his hands? Take a moment to ask God what his plans are for you. Devote yourself to prayer.
Now take a moment to pray for the people in your life. I spent a lot of time doing that over the past week. What has God done in them that makes you thankful? Where do you need to realign their priorities with the Holy Spirit? What requests and what needs do they have that you could entrust to the Lord's hands? Take a moment to ask God what he sees when he looks upon them. Devote yourself to prayer.
All these questions I asked myself and each one of them was slowly answered by God in one way or another. So I encourage you take time to pray. Pray for your loved ones, pray for your family, your friends, your co-workers. Tomorrow is never guaranteed. God has given us each day that he has blessed us with. We are to take advantage of that day doing his will and his work.
So let me finish out with a prayer. God remind me to be constantly talking to you. Don't let me neglect coming to you in prayer. May I become a devoted man of prayer for not only my own sake but also for the sake of the people you have placed in my life. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
We must honor our parents no matter what we may be going through with them.
So this week we're talking about honoring parents, whether it be your grandparents, your parents, or even step parents. Honoring them is an important thing to do and what the Bible says. So from Ephesians chapter 6 verse 1 through 3, “Children obey your parents because you belong to the Lord, for this is the right thing to do. Honor your father and mother. This is the first commandment with the promise. If you honor your father and mother, things will go well for you and you will have a long life on the earth.”
As children, we were under the authority of our parents and had to obey them, but in that obedience we may or may not have honored them. This was determined by our attitude. As adults, while we are no longer bound to obey our parents, we are to honor them. Think of what this demonstrates to those around us.
· We honor our parents when we ask for advice, showing we view them as wise.
· We honor our parents when we speak kindly of them, indicating respect.
· We honor our parents when we spend time with them, indicating they have value.
We honor our parents when we defer to an activity they would prefer, operating and humility.
In each of these, we are showing others how we honor our parents and they are learning by our example. No matter what your situation is, you should always honor your parents. Whether you get along with them or not, they are your parents. Giving them the respect and honor that they deserve is the right thing to do and it's a commandment in the Bible. Jesus sees everything that's going on and though you may be going through a difficult time or hardship with your parents, you should always respect them and honor them. Though you think this might not be the right time if you're having a situation with them, but go to God, pray, and give it time.
So let me finish up with a prayer for us. Lord, my parents have taught me so much about life. Help me to honor their efforts by respecting and valuing them in ways that others see so they will be blessed. Help me to always honor my parents no matter what the situation is or what difficulties may arise. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

How do you handle a situation, family, friend, coworker that just gets on your nerves?
Hey, I hope everybody is doing very well. At the time of this recording, it is Father's Day, so if you are listening, you are a father. I wish you happy Father's Day. As we remember in this Father's Day, many of you may have kids, and sometimes the kids can drive you crazy, but we always have to be gentle with everybody. So this week's message titled Gentleness. From Proverbs chapter 15 verse 1, “A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.”
Gentleness is a fruit of the Spirit, and evidence that God is at work in us as the Holy Spirit takes residency in our heart. Because of this, the way we speak to people can reveal the degree in which the Holy Spirit influences and impacts our lives.
Sometimes it is those who are closest to us who can drive us crazy the most. We all have that certain friend or family member who requires an extra measure of grace. This can try our patience, but the way we respond to them will often be directly proportional to the level of grace we have received from the Holy Spirit. And when it comes to grace, God gives freely so we should do the same. Gentleness requires that we be present in the moment, remembering that our words are powerful and the gentle ones are best.
This is an important message for us to follow. We all get angry at times at our friends or co-workers or family members, but in the end, what does that solve? Nothing. Just more hurt, more anger, more frustration. Not everybody's gonna agree 100%. But at least if you can come to a truce, if you can maybe approach the situation with a little bit more gentleness than with harsher words, the outcome may be much better than you anticipated.
So let me just finish off with a little prayer for us. Lord, I remember many harsh words said to me in response to something I'd said or done frequently that led to escalation and greater misunderstanding than harder feelings and more harsh words. Help me to reflect on those moments and give me the desire to respond in ways that honor you. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Do you know what the most important lesson in the Bible is?
You know, when reading through the Bible, there's just one important lesson that is taught and we all need to know. It's a pretty famous verse from John 3:16. “So this is how God loved the world. He gave his one and only son so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.”
This text is likely the most recognizable text in the Bible. If not in the English language, you will see it in the end zone at most football games and just behind the catcher or on the baseline at a baseball game. It will be just behind the backboard at a basketball game along the racetrack at an automobile race. It will be held high in a town parade by churches and individuals alike. Why? Well, because in it we find the most important lesson that there is. God loved us so much that he sent his son Jesus to perish in our place.
This is the gospel message in one simple sentence. Of all the things that we learn in life, it is this message that is the most important. A great way to remember the impact of this scripture is to read the verse replacing the world and everyone with our first names and then the names of those around us. So if you were to try that, it would sound something like this. “This is how God loved William. He gave his one and only son so that Marie, Wendy, Margaret, Paul, Wayne, Roy, Diane, Christina, Christy, Andy, Miguel, Ross, Michelle, Ben, Dustin, Angela, Roger, Sarah, and so on. But they will all not perish, but will have eternal life.” Do this often and we will all know the greatest lesson.
So let me just by end with a prayer for us today. Father, you loved us so much that you sent your son to pay for our sins. He took our place, perishing for us so we may have eternal life. You did this for each of us personally. Teach me to be grateful for it and to pass it on. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
Everyone has pain and joy, but how you deal with it and get through it is also another situation.

Hey everyone, hope everybody's doing well. Hope everybody has had a blessed week. Everyone faces pain and joy. How you deal with it and how you get through it are completely separate items. This week's message is titled pain and joy from Revelations chapter 21 verse 4. “He will wipe every tear from their eyes and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.”
As followers of Jesus, it's important for us to live with hope no matter our circumstances. The hope we have in Jesus leads to something like what John wrote about in Revelation. He saw an image of no more sadness and just pure joy. The question is, how do we start living in that reality right now? And how do we encourage others to understand that as well?
At a fairly young age, most kids get the concept of joy and pain. But as we get older, we tend to complicate these things. Try imagining what it could look like to have a world where there's no more pain, suffering or sadness. No, maybe a far stretch, but just try and imagine it. Describe what true joy looks like to you. It could be something serious or something silly. The idea is to get in the habit of thinking futuristically, imagining a future with nothing but joy and then beginning to live in that future right now. This is what hope in Jesus can look like. Get creative. Even in today's struggles, in today's world, we need to think about and look to the future with joy. No matter what you're going through, no matter the situation, there is always joy on the other end of it. There's a light at the end of the tunnel, as they would say.
So let me just end with a prayer for us. God, develop a greater hope within me to see your kingdom come and your will be done on earth now as it is in heaven. Help me to imagine a world without pain. Help me to be a guiding light for you in helping someone in the pain that they may be going through. Work in me as you would any of your children. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Do you try to rely on your own strength when facing a tough challenge?

Everyone, hope everybody's doing well. And follow up of last week's message regarding the Holy Spirit. This week, I thought I'd continue on with another episode. This week's message is titled, Fruit of the Spirit from Galatians chapter 5 verse 22 and 23. “The Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control. There is no law against these things.”
Often when trying to rely on our own strength and willpower to be men and women of God, we fall short. It's just how we are. It's human nature. Jesus embodied the kind of person we all hope to become. God recognizes this need we have. And so he sent his spirit not only to guide us and lead us into truth, but to also develop character within us. A good fruit tree is planted in good soil, watered, trimmed if necessary, and given the right amount of sunlight.
Much like the fruit tree, we require a good foundation and proper care. We require the Holy Spirit as followers of Jesus. If we find ourselves to be people, men and women, who follow Jesus, but aren't exhibiting any of these qualities above, perhaps we need to ask God to continue to fill us with the Holy Spirit. If you've never done that before, take a moment and pray for it now. Having the Holy Spirit in you is a guiding principle of God. Like this passage says, us being men and women, we just fall short on being who God wants us to be. But the good thing is, is even though we fall short, God has such grace for us. He loves us so much that he continues to forgive us. Each one of us has the Holy Spirit in them. And if you feel like you need more, so just pray for it. In this prayer you can say, God, fill me with your Holy Spirit today, so I can become more and more like Jesus Christ. Help me to see and feel the Spirit that you have provided for me, for I know that I am a child of God. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Do you ever find yourself trying to compare yourself to other people relating to their belongings or anything that they may have that you don't have? Well, this week's message is titled Comparison from John chapter 21 verse 21 and 22. “When Peter saw him, he said to Jesus, Lord, what about what is that to you? You follow me.”
Sometimes it's easy to look at others and compare our situation to theirs. With other men, we might compare salaries, home sizes, car styles, and the list goes on and on. We frequently wonder how we stack up. We might say, at least I'm better than that person. Or if only I was as good as that other person. It's a constant game of comparison, and we start doing that when we're young.
How many of you may remember when growing up, you're comparing yourself to others, or even your parents to your friends parents. I think we've all done it from time to time. When Jesus was talking to Peter about Peter's life, Peter wanted to compare his future with that of another disciple. Jesus basically says, it's not your concern, Peter. Be concerned about Peter about yourself. You follow me. It seems the best cure for comparison is simply turning to Jesus and following him. Think about what comparisons you might be making in your own life, particularly as a man. How can you turn your attention back to Jesus? The same goes true for women. How many women do you know that are comparing themselves to other women? A lot of them do, but we all men and women need to remember that instead of comparing ourselves to other people, we just need to turn to Jesus and remember that we're following him. God made you the way you are for a specific reason. He molded you exactly the way he wanted you to be. If he wanted you to be like that other person, he would have made you like them, but you are unique in all that you do and all that you are. So instead of comparing, be thankful and grateful for how God made you as Jesus loves you no matter what.
So let me finish up by praying for all of us. God help me to follow you and focus on you. May I turn away from the temptation to compare myself to others. Help me to stay focused on you. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Hey everyone, thank you so much for a click and play this week. I hope everybody is doing well. This week's message is titled, “God is greater”, from 1 Corinthians chapter 1 verse 25. “The foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength.”
It seems strange to read about God's foolishness and weakness, but what Paul is trying to help us understand is that in all things and in every way, God is greater. We live in a do-it-yourself world where many of us want to figure things out on our own. We think that if we ask for help, we're admitting that we are weak. This verse reminds us that even at our greatest and strongest, we still don't compare to God.
Isn't it encouraging to know that God is not only wise and strong, but that He is also on our side? We can confidently come to Him, knowing that He is more than sufficient to help us in every situation we will ever find ourselves in. And likewise, when others come to us for help, we can do our best to guide them by pointing them to God. God is greater than any situation you're going through. God is greater than that addiction, than insecurities. God is greater than anything you've ever faced or will face. You can get through any battle that you're dealing with and facing by going to God. God wants you to come to Him. God wants all His children to come to Him and call on Him. He has such great love for all of us, and all He wants us to do is seek Him, and He will provide for all of us.
So let me pray for us. God, help me to rest in your strength and your wisdom. Help me to trust you to help me and not try to accomplish everything on my own strength. Thank you for the wisdom and strength you gladly share with your children, as we are your children. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Do you ever find yourself wondering when you're going through a weak time, trying to figure out where there's strength in that, trying to determine how to get through that time that you're in? Well, this week's message is titled Strength and Weakness from 2 Corinthians chapter 12 verse 9. He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
We aren't all that willing to admit our weaknesses, are we? I know I'm not, and I'm sure you're not either. We don't like to confess that we get lost while driving, much less that we are struggling. We are men and women, and people are counting on us. We can do this on our own. We have to, right? Wrong.
It's time we rid ourselves of that mentality and embrace the fact that we aren't the superhero we sometimes believe we need to be. It's time we realize that we lead best when we allow God's grace and power to be evident in our lives. We are strongest when we lead and live with the dependence on God's work in our lives. As he has said, My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Let's make room for God's power by admitting that we can't do it all on our own. Remember, you don't have to do it all on your own. God's power is so great, and his love for you is so strong. He's right there with you by your side, getting through it. So even in your weakest moments and you're struggling, there is strength there by God. He will give you the strength. Of course, we don't like to share with others that we're going through weak times because it feels like to us, we don't want people to have an interpretation that we're weak or we're not strong. But in reality, everybody goes through weaknesses. Everybody goes through struggles, but God gives you the strength to get through it. Focus on him and remember that you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.
So let me pray for us. God, forgive me for wanting to do the things my way and on my own. Forgive me for not seeking help when I need it from others or from you. Help me to admit my weaknesses to you today. I invite you to come and work in my life. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Do you wonder if you have the approval of God? Do you struggle with the thought of others approving of you?
Do you ever feel like you're trying to seek the approval of your friends or family or even your co-workers? But do you ever wonder if you've got the approval from God? This week's message is titled Approval from Galatians chapter 1 verse 10. “Am I now trying to win the approval of the human beings or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.”
One thing we need to remember is we can't please people all of the time, but we sure do like to try. Whether it be our friends, our family, boss, or neighbors, we want the people in our lives to give us their seal of approval. And with that, we worry. Are we saying the right things? Are we wearing the right clothes? Are we doing the right things? If they knew what I really thought, would they still accept me? It's understandable that we want people to approve of us, but as servants of Christ, we must take a different path. We will only experience true peace when it is God's approval that we pursue. And the things that God approves of often runs contrary to the ways of this world. So be prepared for conflict. But just as we place God's opinion above the opinions of those around us, he will continue to draw us in until we hear him utter the words, “well done, good, and faithful servant.” That's from Matthew chapter 25 verse 21. You do have God's approval. No matter what you've been through, no matter what you're going through, you have his approval. And his approval is the only thing that matters. Of course, it feels good when our friends and family give us their approval of us. But ultimately, as servants of God, his approval is the most important one.
So let me pray for us. God, help me to seek your approval above man's. Help me to understand that your approval is the only one that matters in my life. No matter what I'm facing, no matter what conflicts I'm going through, or no matter what negative thoughts there may be, your approval is the only thing that matters. And I know that you approve of me and you love me so much. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Do you ever wonder what your purpose is while you're here on earth? What has God meant for you to do? Well, this week's message is titled “Purpose.” From Ephesians chapter 2 verse 10, “We are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.”
Our lives are not made up of random events pieced together by the hands of time. We were created with intention and purpose by the hands of God. The Greek word poema, which is translated “masterpiece”, describes a work that only God can do. As an artist creating with intention, God has crafted us. He has made us a beautiful depiction of the work he is doing in the world.
No two people are alike. Each one of us is uniquely gifted to do the good works God has prepared for us to do. Crafting our history, weaving in our giftedness, and fastening our future, God continues to mold us for his purpose. He wants us to use us to bring life to those around us and to encourage those under our care. When we embrace our uniqueness and live with purpose, we can confidently step into God's calling for our lives.
God created you for a purpose that he has, but what our purpose is, we may not know, but God knows, and he'll guide you. You may have a gift and talent that nobody else has, but you know how to use those gifts, those talents. The uniqueness of you is what makes you such a masterpiece of God. So don't ever think you're not good enough. Don't ever think that you're not talented enough. You are very talented in what you do, and God made you that way for a reason.
So let me finish up with a prayer for today. God, open up my eyes to see what makes me unique. Help me discover my unique role in your kingdom as I seek the good works you want me to step into. Continue molding me to make me more like you. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Do you wonder if Jesus is with you when you're going through your ups and downs in life?
This week's message is titled Presence in Storms from Mark chapter 4 verse 35 through 37. That day when evening came, he said to his disciples, Let us go over to the other side. Leaving the crowd behind, they took him along, just as he was in the boat. There were also other boats with him. A furious squall came up, and the waves broke over the boat so that it was nearly swamped.
In life, we can hope for bright days full of sunshine, but dreary nights and stormy skies are part of the journey. The twists and turns we experience can leave us feeling swamped with struggle, but we find our hope in God's presence during the storms of life. Jesus took his disciples on an evening journey on the lake. There were other boats on the same waters, but with the winds picked up, Christ was in the boat with his disciples. When the waters rose, Christ was there, and when the waves began to sink the vessel, Christ was there.
Living a life with Christ means having Jesus with us in the storm. When the sickness comes, He is in our boat. When loss overwhelms us, He is with us. When confusion capsizes us, He is our comforter. During the storm, it is better to be in a boat with Jesus than out on the waters without Him. It's so great to know that no matter what ups or downs, struggles, or even celebration, Jesus is always with us. He never leaves our side. Sometimes you may wonder why are you going through this particular storm if Jesus is with you. Jesus knows what you're going up against. He knows what you're facing, but he's looking to see if you will come to him and rely on him to get you through that storm. Even if you're going through difficult time or times of grace and celebration, Jesus is always with you.
So let me say a prayer for us. God, may I find my comfort in you and experience peace through your presence. When the storms of life overwhelm me, be the hope that carries me to the other side. I give you all the glory and the praise, Lord. In your precious name we pray. Amen.

This week's message is titled Focus on Jesus from Hebrews chapter 12 verse 2. We look away from the natural realm and we fasten our gaze on to Jesus who birth faith within us and who leads us forward into faith. His example is this. Because his heart was focused on the joy of knowing that you would be his, he endured the agony of the cross and conquered its humiliation and now sits exalted at the right hand of the throne of God.
Keeping our eyes on Jesus sounds a whole lot easier than it really is. Our jobs, families, friends, and even our hobbies are all fighting for our attention. It feels like there's never enough time in the day. There's no shortage of books and blogs that tell us what to believe and how to live. Life often feels more like a car ride through a heavy rainstorm. The road becomes uncertain when we can't see more than a few feet ahead of us. We want to keep moving forward, but we can't see the familiar markers that tell us we're headed in the right direction. The only way it gets easier is if we're following the guiding taillights of someone ahead of us.
Jesus Christ has gone before us to make a way for us. If we can focus our eyes on him, he will lead us through the distracting storms of life and help bring clarity to our path. We fix our eyes on him when we spend time in his word and prayer. Are your eyes fixed on him or are you more focused on the worries you can't see? So if you're not fixed and focused on Jesus, take time and allow him in. He has a path already led for you. He knows where you're going and he knows where you want to be.
So let me just say a little prayer for all of us. God, you've made a way for me through your son, Jesus Christ. Help me to not be distracted by other voices calling for my attention, but to fix my eyes on you, the author and perfecter of my faith. I give you all the glory and the praise in Jesus' name. Amen.

Hey everyone, hope everyone is doing well. Do you find yourself sometimes wondering if there's anybody for you? Does it feel like a lot of times a lot of people are against you? Even through the difficult situations you may be going through, you sometimes often wonder, is there really someone that backs me up? Well this week's message is titled God is for you from Luke chapter 2 verse 10. But the angel reassured them, don't be afraid. He said, I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people.
Knowing God is for you will change your whole perspective on life. You'll stop thinking of God as someone looking down from heaven ready to yell, “gotcha” anytime you mess up. God is for your success in life. He created you for a purpose and he wants you to succeed. It is God, your creator, who will measure your success in life and no one else.
This is extremely good news. It means you don't need to be afraid of God because God is for you. Yet some people are so afraid of God they get nervous just talking about him. Do you know why? They feel guilty and then they start thinking, if I get close to God, he's going to lecture me. He's going to remind me of all the things I've done wrong and then I'll feel even worse. Well honestly nothing could be further from the truth. Jesus said, I did not come into this world to condemn it but to save it. Jesus was saying, I didn't come to scold you, I came to save you. And if God is for us, who can be against us? Jesus came to save us, not to scare us. That's why when the angel was telling the shepherds about the birth of Jesus, the first thing he said is, don't be afraid. In fact, when God sends a message to people in the Bible, it's not unusual for the first words to be, don't be afraid.
There are 365 messages from God in the Bible that begin with the phrase like fear not. In other words, every single day of the year you can read a message from God that says, in effect, you don't need to be afraid. I am for you. I am with you. I love you. God is for you. What a great thing to know that no matter what our troubles, what our situation, God is for us unconditionally. There right by our side, helping us, not lecturing us, not looking down on us, but actually loves us. That's so awesome.
So God, I thank you, Lord, that you're so much for us, that you watch over and protect us, and that even if someone thinks that they feel guilty for any of the wrong that they've been doing, that you love us so much, that you will look past that and overcome it, knowing that we are a child of God. Father, I just thank you so much for all the love that you give us and through all the good and the bad that you are there for us. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

When you go through your day to day life and everything that you're doing, do you do it on your own or are you doing it with Christ with you?
This week's message is titled Life with Christ, from Matthew chapter 11 verse 29. Simply join your life with mine. Learn my ways and you'll discover that I'm gentle, humble, easy to please. You will find refreshment and rest in me.
The busyness of life often brings us to our knees. We work hard, we play hard, crash hard, and then we pray hard. When we run out of gas, we run to our source. Everybody does. We pray for rest and hope to be refueled so we can get back out there. Jesus meets us in our exhaustion, in our brokenness, in our struggles. He is there with us through the good and the bad, but he also calls us to a new way of working and reveals a new road to resting.
A yoke is a wooden frame that holds two oxen together so they can work side by side. As the stronger ox moves, the weaker ox is pulled along. When both oxen are strong, the workload is lighter for both. This is the picture of work that Jesus paints for us. Life alone is exhausting. We do it every day, but when we are yoked with Jesus, he is not a pit stop. He is a presence. When we are working by his side, we can rest while we labor, knowing his strength is sufficient for us. Life with Christ by our side takes us farther and faster. When we are yoked with Christ, his humbleness rubs off on us, and the rest of our souls is always one step away.
Being yoked with Christ will get you through your day, will get you through all your struggles. He is right there with us. I thank God every day that He is with me through all the struggles that come with our day to day lives that we do. The demands with the family, with some friends, coworkers, whatever it may be. Having Christ with you and knowing He is there, it surely helps make things a whole lot easier.
So just a prayer for us. God, teach me to walk in your ways. May I experience rest as you draw me into your presence. Give us the rest that we desire, for we know that you have everything in store for us and already planned out. So even through our busy days and our busy lives, Lord, we call to you to be with us and be beside us, helping us get through those struggles. In your precious name we pray. Amen.

Do you feel like your in dark times, wondering if there is light at the end of the tunnel? Listen to this message and let God be your light!
Do you have trouble trusting people? Have you been hurt in the past and feel like you cannot trust anyone? The only one you can trust is God! He is always there for you!
"But what about you?" he asked. "Who do you say I am?" Peter answered, "You are the Messiah." - Mark 8:29 NIV
When was the last time you risked something when you stepped out in faith? Maybe it was when you took a chance on a business venture or uttered the words, "I love you," for the first time. Maybe when you brought up a challenging conversation with an employer. Some find it easy to take these faith-filled steps while others are paralyzed by the pressure. Either way, often the only way forward in life is to take the step of faith.
Peter found himself in this situation when Jesus asked the disciples, "Who do you say I am?" Jesus hadn't forgotten who he was. He didn't need to be reminded of his name. Rather, he wanted them to step out in faith and boldly share who they believed he was. They had seen Jesus heal and teach, calm waters, and care for hurting people. Could he be the Messiah? was undoubtedly a question they had asked themselves, maybe even discussing it together, but Jesus wanted them to actually say it to him. It was Peter who had the courage and faith to speak what he had come to believe. So now he is remembered by his faith, while we don't know anything about what the others said at that point. As the proverb goes, "Fortune favors the bold." So, where is God called you to step out in faith? In what is he inviting you to risk a bit?
Let me say a little prayer for us: God, you are in control. Help me believe that and to step out in faith. We praise in your precious name, Amen!
"Jesus said to them, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners." - Mark 2:17 NIV
Can you imagine a hospital filled with people who don't need a doctor? A man in a stretcher alleging he can walk fine and doesn't need help. A young boy with a broken arm assuring a nurse that he doesn't need any help. These scenarios are pretty much unbelievable, but we don't feel the same way when imagining a church of people who think they're doing well and functionally don't need the Great Physician. That's much easier to believe. How tragic.
Early in his ministry, Jesus makes sure all who are listening understand that the whole reason he came was to heal and help--to rescue. That means two things. First, our relationship with God can't be based on our goodness but on confession of our need for Jesus. Any other was is laughable, like the sick man in the hospital pretending he's just fine. Second, followers of Jesus are called to build hospitals, not castles. Just like Jesus, we should seek out those who are in need, rather than protect ourselves from those who might have "issues." After all, every one of us needs the Great Physician; no one is beyond their need for Jesus.
Let me pray for us, Father, I confess my need for you again today. Jesus, I am just as in need of you now as I was ten years ago. Spirit of God, help me to love the sick around me like you love them. In Jesus name we pray, Amen!
"Here is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus." - Galatians 3:28 NIV
One of the first questions we tend to ask someone we just meet is, "What is it that you do?" By "do," we mean what they do for work. The answer to the question, whether we admit it or not, determines what we think of them. If they reply, "I'm a doctor," our respect goes way up and we may even feel a bit insecure. It's easy for this harmless question to slip into a search for status. When someone has more education or a better job, we become insecure about our status. If someone has a wider network, we're left wondering about our status.
Paul, writing to the Galatians, dismantles the major status symbols and positions of his day. For him, a slave is on the same level as a free person. A Jew is on the same level as a Gentile. A woman is on the same level as a man. No one is above and no one is below. This is the case because before Christ we all were in a desperate situation, and in Christ we have been given more than we could ask or imagine. For Paul, the ultimate status symbol is not a new car or a great job, but the cross.
Let me pray for us: God, help me to believe that the only thing I need for significance is you. Keep me from insecurity and pride. Remind me of who I am in you. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
"My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message." - John 17:20 NIV
What do you think of when you hear the word legacy? Do you think about money? Or some family values passed down through generations? Jesus prayed the ultimate "legacy" prayer as the cross got closer. In that prayer he didn't just pray for himself, though he was in the midst of crisis. He didn't even pray for his friends and followers, though they would soon face crisis. Toward the end of Jesus' earthly life, he prayed for us. That is amazing. You. Me. The person in your small group who always shows up late. Everyone. Jesus, in one of his last moments on earth, though about us!
What would it look like for you to think two or three generations beyond you? How might that affect your life? When you think about that, you start getting a vision for leaving a legacy, and you're closer to having the "mind of Christ" (1 Corinthians 2:16).
Let me pray for us: God, give me a vision for my life that is bigger than me. I pray for a vision for my future that is even bigger than I can imagine; a God-sized vision. Help me to think about the legacy I am passing down. I desire it to be one that honors you. Please give me strength. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen. Thank you and God Bless!

Have you ever been asked to do something, maybe a particular job at work or an essay in a class, without the proper resources or training to accomplish the goal? If so, what was the result? More often than not, it's suboptimal. When it comes to Christian unity, Jesus has thankfully not left us under resourced! In the above verse, Jesus describes Christian unity as a reachable goal. Not because we're really talented or incredibly friendly. Nope. From Jesus' perspective, Christian unity is possible because he's given us his glory, which is God's very presence in the life of his believers. The presence of God in the followers of Christ brings real and lasting Christian unity. In a way, this is encouraging. Jesus hasn't left us to figure it out. He's given us a helper, his Holy Spirit. But, in another way, this means we have to work at it. Unity doesn't come naturally; we have to yield to others and the Holy Spirit. We have to lay down our agendas. If we really want the unity that Christ has prayed we would experience, we have to keep in step with the Spirit, saying daily, "Not my will, but yours." That is key, not my will, but yours. Let me pray for us: God, I confess I need you. Specifically, I need your Holy Spirit in my life. I want to see you work. I want to grow as a man or woman. For that I need your presence. Please give me your strength today. In your name we pray. Amen! Thank you and God Bless!

In the ancient world, a kingdom was a place where the values and way of life that the king desired were put into practice. As you can imagine, this could be good or bad depending on the king, Jesus is the ultimate good King. Throughout the Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John), he heals the sick; includes the social, spiritual, and racial outcasts into his family; and ultimately makes a public spectacle of the world's power by triumphing over it through death. The kingdom of Jesus is like no other. As we align ourselves with this God who is both beyond and near, we must take up the cause of his kingdom. This can be hard. Within each of us is a little ruler that, left alone, would set up a kingdom that runs according to our basic desires and wants. As we learn to pray like Jesus, we must lay down our kingdoms and take up his kingdom mission. This doesn't mean that everyone becomes a pastor. It doesn't mean that we have to live at the church. It does mean that we, like Jesus, should have a heart for the outcast and vulnerable. It does mean we should familiarize ourselves with sacrifice. And it does mean that we should make Jesus our first allegiance - in all areas of life. Let me say a prayer for us all: God, give me strength to live for your kingdom. Give me your power to love my family, my coworkers, and my neighbors. Help me to desire your kingdom!

A verse given to me on a Christmas card from a very close and dear friend, is most fitting for this message. The verse is from Isiah 9:6 - For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called, Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Our greatest supporter is God. With His mighty hand He keeps us standing. We should do the same with each other. To support someone is to assist them in a special way. It means that a specific person needs help, and that the person receives it from us. We help where we can, and do it despite our own needs and wants. We offer ourselves to the service of God and others. Be a spiritual supporter to your friends and family. You know you can support them with money and your time, but being a supporter spiritually will only cost you your time. A feeling of self-worth is necessary for a balanced life. Paul says that a man should love and care for his own body. Take note, he doesn't say you must be in love with yourself, only that you need to look after your body well. How? Well, you make sure your body is well groomed and looked after. You don't overeat, overwork, overstrain or drink excessively. Your body is the temple of God, and that is why you find your worth in Him who regards you as precious in His sight. For selfish people only three people matter in their lives: "me, myself and I." Then your life and others' revolve around you. Selfishness brings out the worst in you, because you always fight for your own interests. You have to win no matter what. You must get all the attention. Don't let this happen. Let the Lord's selfless love flow over you today, then you'll lose all your selfish desires. God gave you everything you have, all your gifts, your talents and everything you have done. The Lord is coming again. He guarantees it. We don't know the date and time. But we don't have to. All that is expected of us is to be ready for His return. My grandmother used to say, "Our bags should be packed for the Lord arrives to fetch us." His Second Coming is near. We need to wait expectantly and look forward to His return. We must also invite others to share in the feast of eternity. We have to be ready with Christ returns, but don't be afraid as our reward is Heaven. No more sickness, cancer, pain, everything will be healthy and young again. Keep your faith, stay positive and God has you in the palm of His hand.

We all want to be treated with a little respect. Something as small as a quick greeting, a nod of the head, or the smile that says I know that you exist, make many people's lives bearable. Handle everyone with respect. Notice the sticker on their chest that was put there by God: "Fragile! Handle with Care!" Now do it. Each person is special. If you treat them with respect and dignity, God's goodness shines brightly. Treat everyone with respect no matter how they have treated you. The Psalms and other Scripture verses often mention that God is our Rock. He is unshakable. He is solid. You can build your life on Him. No room in your life's house must be extended or rebuilt if it is not founded on the Triune God as your Rock. he is the only one to keep you firm and standing straight. At the end of a long day, we yearn for rest and relaxation. When you've worked yourself to the bone, and are tired of life, rest is the best medicine. God created us to rest. That's why we can lie down every night and sleep in peace, as David did. We can trust God while we sleep. He will carry us safe through the night. He never slumbers nor sleeps. Day or night doesn't influence Him. Take time to rest and relax, whether you go to the beach, the lake or any place away from your normal day to day activities, it gives us a chance to recharge and come to peace. Racism is a word often heard nowdays. You're guilty of it when you treat people from a different race and skin color without the necessary diginity. Jesus loves everyone exactly the way they are and He never showed any racism to anyone He came in contact with. We should all follow the guidance of Jesus and treat everyone the same Jesus treats us. God always has you safe in His arms. No matter what your going through, He will always keep you safe. A couple weeks ago when I was carrying something out my front door, and turn to go down my front stairs, I missed a step and fell face first down 6 steps to the concrete. Thankfully, I did not hit my head and I only suffered a bruised arm and sore shoulder. It could have been a lot worse, but God had me safe in His arms during that fall. Remember to trust in God, keep Him in first place and know you are safe in God's arms. Thank you and God Bless!

Everyone has pride in something and is proud of something, whether its an accomplishment or they are pleased with their family. You have to remember, God gave you the talents and gifts to earn that accomplishment, or guidance to raise your family for their bright future. We all will face opposition every day in whatever we are doing, but how you respond to that opposition depends if your walking with God and allowing Him to lead your way. If someone does not agree with you, on whatever discussion your having, do not become irate, mean or rude, be kind, humble and polite and know that they just do not see it the way you do. God has you in his hand and is constantly guiding you, but also testing you to see how faithful you are. God loves you and He sees everything that is happening to you and around you. Trust in God.

As we grow older, we do become wiser because God is giving us that wisdom and knowledge to share and guide our younger generation. We all have to deal with grief one way or another, but God wants to be there for you. Nothing surprises God as He knows exactly what your going through and why. You are allowed to cry, as that is a natural response to grief. Guys are allowed to cry too. God is here for us all. Trust in Him.

"He went down with them and stood on a level place. A large crowd of His disciples was there and a great number of people from all over Judea, from Jerusalem, and from the coastal region around Tyre and Sidon, who had come to hear Him and to be healed of their diseases." - Luke 6:17-18
God encourages us to call out to Him when we're sick and for our family that may be sick, but know that God also uses medical doctors to perform his miracle works. God will not make every disease go away and some people will die from them, but we have to trust in Him as God is on the throne and He knows what He is doing. Pray for healing and God will hear you. just know that sometimes God will let the disease happen.

It is hard to forgive anyone who has done you wrong or treated you badly, but God asks for you to forgive them as He has forgiven You of your sins. Remember to stay strong, keep the faith and take all your stresses, anxieties and problems to God, He can handle it and He wants to handle it for you. Just trust in Him and you will be free!

The most challenging thing for all of us, is seeing things through God's eyes. If we try to look at everything, including people through God's eyes, how much better would life be? Here are some scriptures relating to this message.
"For this is what the Lord Almighty says: 'After the Glorious One has sent Me against the nations that have plundered you - for whoever touches you touches the apple of His eye." - Zechariah 2:8
"The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness!" - Matthew 6:22-23
"Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?" - Matthew 7:3
"But my eyes are toward You, O God, my Lord; in You I seek refuge; leave me not defenseless!" - Psalm 141:8
"So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen eternal." - 2 Corinthians 4:18

We all know people who complain about everything, from church family to people outside of the church, and sometimes believers complain about other believers. We should look to the good in everyone no matter how big or small it may be, try to see the good in everything. Here are some scriptures that go along with this message.

This week has two messages in one! We all make mistakes but instead of getting down on yourself for those mistakes, use them as stepping stones to get you where God wants you. When we have desires that are not the desires of God's will, that is when we need to yearn after God and His ways. Society has gotten people to desire lifestyles they cannot afford, make changes to their bodies because a celebrity talks about it, or having desires of the flesh. The devil is always lurking and trying to pounce on the opportunity to take advantage of us. Here are some scriptures I found to help us keep on track with God.
"You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, or his male servant, or his female servant, or his ox, or his donkey, or anything that is your neighbor's." - Exodus 20:17
"O God, You are my God; early will I seek You; my soul thirsts for You; my flesh longs for You. In a dry and thirsty land where there is no water." - Psalm 63:1
"My soul yearns, even faints, for the courts of the Lord; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God." - Psalm 84:2
"You want what you don't have, so you scheme and kill to get it. You are jealous of what others have, but you can't get it, so you fight and wage war to take it away from them. Yet you don't have what you want because you don't ask God for it." - James 4:2
"May He grant you your heart's desire and fulfill all your plans!" - Psalm 20:4

The death and resurrection of Jesus at Easter marks Jesus beating the grave and give us eternal life in Him. Suffering a loss is never easy when you lose a loved one, but its also reassuring to know our loved ones are sitting in Heaven, next to Jesus, healthy, whole, no longer in pain, no longer suffering and watching over us. Always remember that one day we will be reconnected with our loved ones in Heaven and in the glory of Jesus. This week has two message relating to Easter and also the loss of a loved on. Hi everybody, I hope everyone had a blessed week. This weeks message is a tough one to talk about as it relates to the loss of a loved one. One of my listeners reached out to me and shared their mother recently passed away and was going through some tough times. My hope is this message will provide some comfort and hope during this difficult time. Losing a loved one is never an easy thing to deal with or go through, just know that God comforts all of us even when there is a loss.

When Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, "It is finished!" Then bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.- John 19:30
God always finishes what He begins (Phil. 1:6). God never speaks a word without ensuring that it comes to pass. (isa. 55:11) Christ is both the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end (Rev. 1:8, 17). Christ is as much at the end of His work as He is at its beginning.
Review the things God has said to you over this last year. Are there promises God has made to you that you have refused to allow Him to complete? If so, commit to yield your will to God today.

Your life affects those you have contact with, whether you intend it or not. It may be a positive experience for them or a negative one, but your life will affect others.
Paul wanted to leave a spiritual blessing with other believers. He had heard the Christians in Rome, and he longed to go to them to build them up in their faith. Paul always mentioned the Roman believers in his prayers, even though he had never met them (Rom. 1:10). While he waited for an opportunity to visit Rome, Paul wrote a letter to the church. His letter to the Romans is one of the most cherished and challenging books in the New Testament.
We should share Paul’s goal of leaving a spiritual blessing with everyone around us. We have opportunities to strengthen our parents, our children, our friends, our coworkers, and our fellow Christians. Spiritual blessings are not given haphazardly, but by choice. Our self-centeredness may cause us only to seek blessings from others rather than to impart them. Only when we are determined to focus on giving a blessing rather than receiving a blessing will we have the quality of ministry to others that God gave to Paul.
You may not realize it, but your life has the potential to bless everyone you encounter. Are others strengthened and encouraged in their faith because of their relationship with you? Do you usually look at others in terms of what they can do for you or in terms of how you can encourage them? As you go about your day, strive to be a positive influence on everyone you encounter!

"When they had gone to buy some, the groom arrived. Then those who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet, and the door was shut." - Matthew 25:10
There is no substitute for spiritual preparation. Spiritual preparation equips you for unforeseen crises or opportunities. However, if you are unprepared you will be vulnerable in life's unexpected events.
Jesus told a parable that teaches this truth. Ten virgins were awaiting the arrival of the bridegroom so that they could celebrate with him and his bride. Five of them prepared in advance and brought an adequate supply of oil for their lamps. The other five were no prepared, so they rushed out to buy additional lamp oil. While they were gone, the bridegroom arrived. The five who had planned ahead entered into the house with him, but the door was closed against the five who were not ready, and they missed the celebration.
If you are spiritually prepared when a crisis comes, you will not have to try to develop instantly the quality of relationship with Christ that can sustain you. If you suddenly have an opportunity to share your faith with an unbeliever, you will be equipped to do so. If you enter a time of worship spiritually prepared, you will not miss an encounter with God. If you are spiritually filled when you meet a person in sorrow, you will have much to offer. If you have established safeguards in your life in advance, you will not give in to temptation.
Christians lose many opportunities to experience God's activity because they have not devoted enough time to their relationship with God. If you have not yet developed the habit of daily prayer and Bible study, why not begin now, so that you will be equipped for whatever life brings?

“But all these things are merely the beginning of birth pangs.” – Matthew 24:8
When will Christ return? This question has been pondered much through the generations. The imminence of His coming provides the backdrop for everything the Christian does. Christ has not revealed exactly when He will come, but He has told us signs to watch for. The time of His coming in unclear, the fact of His coming is certain.
Jesus said that certain events would signal the nearness of His coming: There will be wars and rumors of wars; there will be famines and earthquakes; Christians will suffer persecution for the sake of Christ; false prophets will come and teach heresy, leading many astray; lawlessness will abound as people do what is right in their own eyes; the authorities will be unable to control crime. Because of lawlessness, people will become cynical and fearful, and their love for others will grow cold (Matt. 24:6-12).
Jesus said that the signs of the end times will be like birth pangs. The pain of childbirth increases in frequency, and it increases in intensity. Jesus said that the presence of war or famine or false teachers does not mean that His coming is upon us. These things, He said, are merely the beginning. He said that the frequency of wars, earthquakes, and crime will increase until finally Christ’s return brings everything to a finish. The intensity of wars and famines and other human crises will also escalate.
Our day has seen everything Jesus spoke of reach unprecedented proportions. If there were ever a time Christians should be alert of Jesus’ coming, it is today.

“Look at the nations and observe – be utterly astounded! For something is taking place in your days that you will not believe when you hear about it.” – Habakkuk 1:6
Christians habitually seek God’s voice through prayer, through His Word, or through His messengers. Yet sometimes we fail to hear God speak through His activity, even though He is working all around us. Unbelievers see God’s activity without understanding what they see. God encourages His people to watch for His activity so they will know how they should respond and adjust their lives.
The disciples discovered much about God’s power by witnessing Jesus calming a raging storm with a command. Seeing Jesus dine with the notorious sinner, Zacchaeus, taught them a poignant message about God’s love for sinners. Watching Jesus hang upon the cross communicated a compelling message of what God is willing to do to free people from sin. Discovering the empty tomb revealed an astounding truth of God’s victory over death. To those with spiritual discernment, God’s activity is a significant revelation about His heart and His will.
If you are sensitive to what God is doing around you, He will clearly speak to you through His activity. You will know that God is at work, because what you see will astound you, and human power and wisdom will not explain it. If things happen that are direct answers to your prayers, God is speaking to you. When you experience events that surpass your understanding and ability, it may be that God is communicating a critical message to you.
If you want to hear God’s voice, look around you to see what He is doing. When you are watching for God at work, what you see will reveal His character, and you will have a fresh understanding of how to respond to Him.

“But one of them, seeing that he was healed, returned and, with a loud voice, gave glory to God. He fell facedown at His feet, thanking Him. And he was a Samaritan.” – Luke 17:15-16
Thankfulness is foundational to the Christian life. Thankfulness is a conscious response that comes from looking beyond our blessings to their source. As Christians, we havebeen forgiven, saved from death, and adopted as God’s children. There could be no better reason for a grateful heart!
Lepers in Jesus’ day were social outcasts. Their highly contagious condition ostracized them from those they loved. When ten lepers encountered Jesus, they desperately implored Him to show them mercy. Jesus sent them to the priest. As they obeyed, they were healed! These ten men had been forbidden to enter their own villages, to live in their own homes, to work in their own jobs, or even touch their own children. Imagine what unrestrained joy must have filled them as they ran back home again!
One of the lepers, a Samaritan, stopped and ran back to thank Jesus. Samaritans were normally shunned by the Jews, but Jesus had healed him! Jesus asked him, “Where are the others?” Ten lepers had been healed. Ten lepers were reveling in their newfound health. Ten men were joyfully rushing to share the good news with those they loved. But only one considered the Source of that blessing and stopped to thank and worship the One who had given him back his life.
We, too, have been healed and made whole by the Savior. We are free to enjoy the abundant life the Savior has graciously given us. Could we, like the lepers, rush off so quickly to glory in our blessings without stopping to thank our Redeemer? God looks for our thanks. Our worship, prayers, service, and daily life ought to be saturated with thanksgiving to God (Phil. 4-6).

“Yet wisdom is vindicated by all her children.” – Luke 7:35
The world is full of “experts.” There are people everywhere who want to convince you of the wisdom of their opinion. Yet God says that it is not the one who declares his viewpoint the most loudly or vociferously who is the wisest, but the one who is vindicated over time.
Wisdom is not proven by the argument or debate. Wisdom is proven over time. Some people adamantly proclaim that their opinion is best. Regardless of how convincingly these people defend their viewpoint, time is the best judge of their wisdom. The result of the practice proves its validity, not how loudly it is promoted.
When you seek to obey what God has told you, you will sometimes meet resistance and criticism from others who disgrace with the wisdom of your actions. Your immediate response may be the urge to vindicate yourself. However, if you wait patiently, time will reveal the wisdom of your actions far better than you could through argument.
Through the ages, the wisdom found in God’s Word has been tested and proven true. It is critical that you measure everything you hear against the Scriptures. Trends in psychology and philosophy come and go, but God’s Word is timeless. Whenever you share an opinion in counseling someone else, make sure that it comes from the Scripture and not merely from your best thinking. As long as you base your life choices on the Word of God, time will be your defender and will validate the wisdom of your choices. If, over time, you clearly see you are wrong, as God’s forgiveness and seek a fresh word from God through the Scripture. Then obey that word and watch to see God confirm His wisdom in your life.

“But those who trust in the LORD will renew their strength; they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not faint.” – Isaiah 40:31
At times you may feel so worn out and stressed that you are not sure you can take another step. You may seem to spend all your time running from crisis to crisis and to be constantly giving your time and energy to others. Your Lord wants to renew your strength and enable you to enjoy the abundantlife He intends for you. The key is to wait upon Him to do so.
Our generation does not enjoy waiting. We are harried by all the commitments we have made and the many responsibilities we hold. We rush through our lives without stopping to evaluate our activities. Sometimes in our haste to get on with our work, we race ahead of God. Part of God’s restorative process is to slow us down and make us listen to Him. As we wait on Him, God will remind us of our utter dependance upon His strength. When we slow down and seek His will, He will reveal His plans.
Biblically, waiting on the Lord is never passive; it is always active. Waiting requires us to cease our own pursuits and give God our complete attention. We may have to give up some of the activities we have allowed to inundate our lives. We may need to take an entire day to sit quietly before the Lord. If we ask Him, God will show us the resources He has provided to help with the work we have been attempting on our own. God may address feelings of guilt that have motivated us to do things that He has not asked us to do.
Jesus carried more responsibility than you do. More people needed Him than will ever need you. Yet He was never overwhelmed or inadequate for the task. Now Christ offers to guide you so that you will fulfill your heavenly Father’s will and gain the strength necessary for each day.

"To Timothy, my true son in the faith. Grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord." - 1 Timothy 1:2
How you pray for your family members and friends is important. There is no better way to pray for someone you love than by following the example found in Scripture. Paul often asked for specific gifts from God for those he cared about. On Timothy's behalf, Paul requested grace, mercy, and peace.
Grace is the unearned gifts the Father bestows on His children. The Lord relates to us only by His grace. His grace provides salvation though we deserved destruction. His grace blesses us with the riches of heaven. His grace brings us peace in troublesome times. His grace brings us good things every day.
Mercy is God withholding the punishment we deserve because of our sinfulness. The consequences of our sin is death, yet Jesus paid this penatly for us. God is long-suffering and will delay giving us our just punishment in order for us to have every opportunity to repent and to receive His gift of salvation.
Peace is the state of mind and heart we experience when we are confident of God's grace and mercy toward us. Peace comes in knowing that God's grace will sustain us, even in our most difficult crisis. God assures us the even when we fail miserably in our commitments to Him, He will show mercy upon us. This assurance gives us peace.
The peace God gives is fundamentally different from the peace the world offers. The world seeks to sedate us from the problems we face through counseling or drugs or temporary pleasures. The peace God gives goes right to the soul, relieving the heart and mind. How are you praying for your loved ones? There could be no better request than asking the Lord to give them an abundance of His grace, His mercy, and His peace.
If you’re struggling in your day with all the troubles you are facing, or with your finances, family or even your friends, this simple prayer can help you. Say it daily and watch how God will work in your life to help you with whatever challenges you face: “God grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the Courage to change the things I can, and the Wisdom to know the difference.”

“Know that the LORD has set apart the faithful for Himself; the LORD will hear when I call to Him.” – Psalm 4:3
No one is more precious in the Lord’s sight than a godly person. God is pleased whenever He finds someone who strives to live a righteous life and bring glory to Him. God sets such people apart in a special place in His heart. They are always kept before Him, and He stands ready to respond to their faintest cries for help.
Sin separates us from God, causing Him to close His ears to our praying. It is futile for us to pray when we are knowingly practicing sin. But the opposite is also true. God chooses to honor us by listening to our every cry when we are living a godly life. An abiding security comes with living a blameless life. The righteous person never has to wonder whether God has listened to his prayer (1 John 5:14-15). The godly person has confidence that God has indeed heard her prayer and will immediately respond in all of His power.
It is exhilarating to be set apart by God, knowing that God observes your consecrated life and is pleased with what He sees. What a tremendous privilege to know that your life holds a special place in God’s heart! The world may not accord any special status to you, but you will know that you are cherished by God. The world continues to find new ways to honor people, but even the world’s most extravagant accolades are pitiful compared to the unfathomable blessing of holding a special place in the heart of God!
If you’re struggling in your day with all the troubles you are facing, or with your finances, family or even your friends, this simple prayer can help you. Say it daily and watch how God will work in your life to help you with whatever challenges you face: “God grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the Courage to change the things I can, and the Wisdom to know the difference.”

“And we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and the one who remains in love remains in God, and God remains in Him” – 1 John 4:16
The greatest truth in all of Scripture is this: God is love. Understanding this in its full dimensions will set you free to enjoy all that is yours as a Christian. But you must accept that God loves you. If you grew up experiencing unconditional love in your family, this may not be difficult for you. However, if your early years were void of love, this truth may be hard to accept. God loves you, not because you deserve His love, but because His nature is love. The only way He will ever relate to you is in love. His love for you gives you an inherent worth that nothing can diminish.
If you cannot accept the truth that God loves you, you will be limited in how you can relate to Him. When He disciplines you, you will not take it as an expression of His love. Rather, you may resent Him. When God says no to a request that is less than His best for you, you will conclude that He doesn’t care about you. Without a clear understanding and acceptance of God’s love for you, you will be disoriented to Him and to what He wants to do in your life. If you will accept God’s love, however, you will be able to return love to God as well as to others (1 John 4:19).
Are you experiencing the profound sense of joy and security that comes from knowing you are dearly loved by God? Being assured of God’s love for you sets you free to enjoy the numerous expressions of love He showers upon you each day. Your heavenly Father loves you unconditionally.

Missions is God finding those whose hearts are right with Him and placing them where they can make a difference for His kingdom. Some of the great missionaries in history did not live long lives, but their lives dramatically affected eternity.
We are all on a mission with God, whether your aware of that or not, you are God's angels doing his work on earth. God knows your talents and gifts as He made you in His image and gave you all the talents you have. God places people in your lives for reasons only He knows but He wants you to share your gifts with those people. When God invites you to do His work, how do you respond? When you get that feeling deep down that you should help them, go help them. How you respond to God's directions will determine the glory you will receive.

"After He said good-bye to them, He went away to the mountain to pray."- Mark 6:46
What do you do after a spiritual victory? Where do you go after reaching a high point in your Christian life? Jesus went to the mountain to pray, even after His victory, He prayed to his Father and His Father spoke to Him and prepared Jesus for what was to come.
Even when you face difficulties, if you trust in God and take time to pray to Him, He will answer you and get you through it. If you have a spiritual victory, definitely bask in the glory of the victory, but also take time to pray so you can be prepared for any crisis that may come. We all have high points and low points but as long as you pray after your high points, God will prepare you for the low points you may face.

When Moses' father-in-law saw everything he was doing for them he asked, "What is this thing that you're doing for the people? Why are you alone sitting as judge, while all the people stand around you from morning until evening?"- Exodus 18:14
In our zeal to please God and advance His kingdom, we Christians often take on responsibilities that God never intended us to have. One of the great challenges of the Christian life is determining what God does not want us to do!
We tend to take on more things than we can handle because we want people to feel like they can count on us and rely on us, when in reality sometimes you have to know your limits. God does not want us all to take on everything that comes to us because He knows what needs He wants you to do. When we feel overwhelmed, we need to take a deep breath, and ask God, what do you want me to do? God will answer you, but you have to give it a moment and you have to listen. Take each project you have, one step at a time and you will get them all completed.

"Friends, do not avenge yourselves; instead, leave room for His wrath. For it is written: "Vengeance belongs to Me; I will repay," says the Lord."- Romans 12:19
One of the hardest areas in which to trust God is in the matter of justice. When we perceive an injustice, we want to see the guilty party punished. We want justice to prevail, especially if we are the victim. We become impatient if we are not avenged quickly.
It is not our place or position to issue revenge or avenge any wrong doing committed to us, that will be handled by God. He sees all that is happening and He will avenge your wrong doing, but He will do it on His time. God's ways are not our ways, and our ways are not God's ways, we must trust in Him and allow God to do what He has promised to do. We must be patient and trust in Him as those sinners that have sinned against you will face judgement day for all the wrong they have committed.

"When (Saul) arrived in Jerusalem, he tried to associate with the disciples, but they were all afraid of him, since they did not believe that he was a disciple. Barnabas, however, took him and brought him to the apostles." - Acts 9:26-27
Only God knows the potential for each believer. We can project what we think God might do in someone's life, but we have no way of knowing. We see only outward appearances and behavior, whereas God looks at the heart. Since we don't know what God has planned for each person, we can only be disciples of His word and help our fellow Christian brother and/or sister. God puts people in our lives for reasons we don't understand but only God does. Each one of us has talents God put in us and He will use our talents to help others.

Entering a saving relationship with Christ is a life-changing experience! All things become new! Not some things, but ALL things (2 Cor. 5:17). For the first time in your life, Christ is Lord; God is Master. When you become a Christian, Christ's presence will affect every part of you. You will have new thoughts, new attitudes, new values, and new sensitives.
Being born again is an awesome, amazing, truly life-changing experience! Today, my girlfriend Marie and I were baptized in our church, surrendering our lives to God and it was so overwhelming! "When all the people were baptized, Jesus also was baptized. As He was praying, heaven opened, and the Holy Spirit descended on Him in a physical appearance like a dove. And a voice came from heaven: You are My Beloved Son, I take delight in You!" - Luke 3:21-22
It is important to spend time in prayer as that is the time when you are one-on-one with Jesus. You are one-on-one with God and He is listening. God may not always answer your prayers, but He is listening. When you pray, ask Jesus to guide you, help you with whatever you are going through and tell Jesus, I give it to you Father and help me in this situation.
The greatest moments in your life come from prayer and spending time with Jesus. I encourage everyone to take a moment out of your busy day, each day and talk to Jesus and ask Him to help you in whatever your going through.

"So I beg you, brothers and sisters, because of the great mercy God has shown us, offer your lives as a living sacrifice to him-an offering that is only for God and pleasing to him. Considering what he has done, it is only right that you should worship him in this way. Don't change yourselves to be like the people of this world, but let God change you inside with a new way of thinking. Then you will be able to understand and accept what God wants for you. You will be able to know what is good and pleasing to him and what is perfect." -Romans 12:1-2
In today's world and society, everyone wants to be like someone else in this world. If God wanted us to be like these other people, then he would have made us like them. No God made you in exactly the way he wanted you to be and gave you the gifts you have to use in this world and this is pleasing to him. Stop trying to be like someone famous when that is not the person you are. Be who you are supposed to be in God's eyes and be proud of the person you are. Remember, everyone has to face judgement day with God one day, so let God be the one to punish people who does you wrong.

"Those who hunger and thirst for righteousness are blessed, for they will be filled." - Matthew 5:6
Hunger and thirst are the body's way of telling us that we are "empty." Our natural response to physical hunger and thirst is to seek good and water to satisfy our need. God wants us to be hungry and thirsty for His righteousness and grace. God does not give His righteousness to people indiscriminately. He gives it to those who know they cannot live without it. Our desire for personal righteousness must be powerful, all-consuming, and dominating in all we do. If you hunger for God's righteousness, He will satisfy us and we will be filled.

"And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ." - Ephesians 4:32
Being tenderhearted means that we are keenly sensitive to the feelings of others. When a fellow Christian experiences sorrow, we grieve also. When another believer is joyful, we too rejoice. Being tenderhearted means showing compassion toward those around us.
Even during these difficult times where people are rude, inconsiderate, mean or just self-centered, we need to show grace and compassion for those people just as God shows compassion for us. Try to be the light, the angel, or the person God wants us to be even during these tough times, and He will give us his grace as He has promised us.

"Lord," another of His disciples said, "first let me go bury my father." - Matthew 8:21
Often our struggle as Christians is not in deciding whether we should obey Christ but in obeying immediately. Most of the time with our busy lives, we often put off things we know we need to do because of other things or commitments that may come up unexpectedly. Instead of taking care of those things we are asked to do right then, we put it off and say "I'll just do it another day." This is fine as long as you make a plan to get it done and not put it off indefinitely. When God commands us to do something he wants us to do, we need to respond to that command immediately instead of ignoring God's direction and putting it off for later.
No matter how busy you may be, always try to get God's commands done immediately and He will give you what your praying for. Don't forget though, God's ways are not our ways and our ways are not God's ways. Thank you and God Bless!
"For if you forgive people their wrongdoing, your heavenly Father will forgive you as well. But if you don't forgive people, your Father will not forgive your wrongdoing." - Matthew 6:14-15
Forgiveness is something everyone struggles with as it is human nature to hold grudges against anyone who does you wrong. As difficult as it may be, we need to forgive those that have done us wrong so our Heavenly Father can forgive us of our sins and wrongdoing. If someone has done you so wrong that you cannot forgive them, you don't have to speak to them again, but in your spirit you need to forgive them so God can forgive you and continue to bless you with all the blessings he has in store for you.

Salvation is not an event, it is a process. Salvation is God's gift, for there is nothing we can do to save ourselves. Through salvation, God gave you victory over your sin. That victory applies not only to past sins but also to every sin you will ever commit. Don't be afraid to display the Holy Spirit that lives in you from God with others. Be the salvation your friend, family member, or co-worker might need during their time in need.

One of the many truths of the kingdom of God is that if we will honor God, He will honor us. If, however, we dare to treat Him disrespectfully, we will also be treated disrespectfully in His kingdom. Our response to God determines His response to us.
Honor God in all you do each day, at work, school, church or anywhere you may be and He will honor you. Give praise to God for all you have as His blessings will shine on you.

There is no mistaking the effect of light upon a darkened place. We all need to be the light in the dark times of this world. Are you the light to someone you know? Are you the light that person needs during their dark times? Be the light to help inspire someone who may be in the darkness looking for the light. You being the light could be that something someone is needing and could make a huge difference. God wants us all to be His light as we are all children of God.
1 Corinthians 13:7, Love Assumes the best about others. If someone inadvertently offends you, do you choose to believe the offense was unintentional? Or are you quick to react with anger or resentment? Do those close to you know that they can fail and do foolish things to you but yet you will not falter in your love for them? Or do they know you will react negatively or rudely in a manner for which they are scared to even say anything to you? How do you handle constructive criticism?
God loves us unconditionally even when we fail Him. Learn to love and love those around you even when they have done something wrong to you. God Bless you!
What you think about in your unguarded moments reflects what your mind dwells upon. What you speak about when your guard is down is a good gauge of what is in your heart. The things you allow in your mind to dwell on will be revealed by the way you live, If you focus on the negative things, you will inevitably be a negative person.
We need to remain positive in this negative filled world and the best way to do that is concentrate on God and allow him to fight your battles. Best thing we can do is remain positive in any negative situation we may be in. God will pull you through it, you need to trust in Him.

Does God's Word ever cause you discomfort? When you read the Bible, does what you read make you uneasy? Do you find, when you listen to sermons, that the Scripture seems aimed directly at you? You are experiencing the reality that the Word of God is alive and can read your thoughts and judge your intentions.
We have to remember, God see's all and hears all we do and say. If you have a negative tongue and say hurtful things or constantly speak doubt, God can see your heart and hear your words. Do you get that sick feeling in your stomach when you may have said something mean or done something despiteful to someone because in your eyes they have done you wrong? That feeling is God judging your actions and your words, and He is making you feel uncomfortable. We need to speak praise and positivity even during those times when someone or something has done us wrong, because God will fight our battles and we just need to trust in Him.
Remember, we all will face judgement day when God calls us home. I pray for everyone to have peace and positivity and give all your trouble to God. Thank you and God Bless.
This verse is one of the most practical we will ever encounter in the Bible. Every one of us faces needs in our lives, at times, they are beyond our own means. God's ways are not our ways! Do you believe God can mee the needs of your finances? Your health? Your children? Your Parents? Your church? Scripture says you will never face a need for which God's provision is not more than adequate.
Even though we are all going through tough times financially, we must trust in God as he will pull us through this difficult time. This is no surprise to God, he knew this was going to happen even before it started. As difficult it may be, we need to listen to what God is telling us on how to handle our finances and other needs. He will get us through it.

Repentance is one of the most positive of all words. John the Baptist centered his preaching on repentance. Jesus also preached repentance, commanding his disciples to do likewise and Jesus also wants us to repent of our sins and/or wrong doings. We cannot truly experience all the blessings God has for us if we do not repent. To repent means to stop going one direction, to turn around completely, and to go the opposite way. Repentance involves a dramatic and decisive change of course. God urges us to repent when the path we are taking leads to destruction. Repentance will save us from disastrous consequences.

"Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, He got up, went out, and made His way to the deserted place. And He was praying there." - Mark 1:35
Every time the Lord Jesus faced an important decision, He prayed. When He was being tempted to do things by the world's methods instead of the Father's, He prayed. If the Son of God required a night of prayer in order to determine the Father's mind, how long might it take us in prayer to clearly determine our Father's will?
We need to spend time in prayer to listen to what our Father is telling us or guiding us to do. Our Lord Jesus wants us to grow with him and follow him, but we need to make sure we are listening to him when we are in prayer. His ways are not our ways and we need to listen to what he is saying.
Time of prayer is needed right now for the families of the children lost in the tragic events in Texas. This message provides a prayer to the all the families affected by this tragedy and I hope you will share this message with everyone you know so this prayer can reach those families affected.
