Stop wondering what happened to the old school bowing down to Craven images - you'll be too old school to do that. The new age idols - Anything that has the capacity to draw and keep your attention over a reasonable period of time - which don't look like Idols in fact, they look like something that MUST be desired and acquired to gain all the pleasures that life has to offer. They have taken over the old school idol worship but like their old master, they still have Rituals... Yesterday we talked about the annual Rituals but today we jumped straight down to one of the most captivating - the weekly Rituals! Once you have been captivated by these weeklies, they take the top priority in your heart, set the tone of how your week is run and draw serious service(s) out of you... The New Age Idols are after your heart, they want to take the highest priority in your heart, draw your attention and make you to serve them - it could come in form of things or even people. To keep people who serve them going, there are plenty annual 'Rituals' ready available. Be it in the struggle to pay your annual rents or in the pleasure of always getting and maintaining the newest model of cars and gadgets, once your heart has been captivating by these things, it's like chasing the wind - vanity! So, check your heart! Always make sure that the place of God is in your heart is never compromised....
Yesterday we talked about how the New Age Idols Agenda is to keep us overly occupied and too busy - Anxious and troubled by many things, then comes that phrase, "It's OK, God Understands." If care is not taken some will even start thinking that they don't need God to run their daily lives. We took a look at what Jesus said to the Laodicean church in the revelation of John... It's OK, God Understands is a great sign of a lukewarm believer, it's a dangerous situation and it's a work of these new age idols. Enjoy this 5mins special pod.
New Age Idols - Anything that has the capacity to draw and keep your attention over a reasonable period of time - have some basic agenda and one of them is MAKE THEM Anxious And Troubled By Many Things. New Age Idols are things, activities, persons or places that keep you [Overly occupied and too busy] so much that you are distracted in your heart from God. The aim is to take the top priority in your heart and once this aim is achieved, this highest priority in your heart starts to draw service from you (engages your mind - intellect & emotions - resources and time) and if it continues, with time, it transforms into high admiration which results in worship. Nowadays, New Age Idols are plenty in our daily lives, disguised yet sophisticated, you'll never know they are Idols or could turn into something that could be worshiped.... We ended the podcast with a special reminder from the Lord himself: But take heed to yourselves and be on your guard, lest your hearts be overburdened and depressed (weighed down) with the giddiness and headache and nausea of self-indulgence, drunkenness, and worldly worries and cares pertaining to [the business of] this life, and [lest] that day come upon you suddenly like a trap or a noose; Luke 21:34 AMP Enjoy!
While the old school idol worship centers on bowing down to an image and it's easy to define, the New Age Idols are quite complex to define but they're centered on service born out of the highest priority of the heart and this service can drive one to the point of high admiration which translates into worship. (Listen to the Pod to hear our interesting definition of the new age idols) No matter how you define it, the New Age Idols are so enormous nowadays, you definitely new an anchor ⚓ in your soul daily not to be blown away by many of these idols which are captivating and in some cases, breathtaking. You must understand that these things can take the highest priority in your heart (something that God won't share) if you don't fight them off. Keep Calm! Keep your guard on! Keep your heart anchored ⚓ daily on God!
Man has an irreversible deposit of the image of God in the DNA of man's spirit but after the fall of man, this deposit was corrupted, deteriorated, and created a gap in man's spirit that nothing else could fill (except the image be restored and connected back to God) The devil fully took advantage of this decay, presenting and feeding people's mind with all sought of things that looks like it can satisfy or fill this gap. So many spend their lifetime looking for what will satisfy but were never satisfied, and while they weren't satisfied, Satan created daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, biannual and annual circles of reoccurring options with better promises yet it widened this gap in man's spirit into a great gulf, and man insatiable. So people are caught up worshipping created things - giving their highest attention and priorities to things that perishes - still never satisfied when they get some, will never have it all yet they continue in this endless path of miserable vanity... Let me bring it home to myself! Am I fully satisfied with the presence of God in my life? Is there anything thing that takes higher priority than God in my heart? It's GOSPOCAST weekend edition... You must be very old school if you think that idols are still Craven images, no, not nowadays! Sophisticated machines, powerful electronics, super drives, indiscriminate satisfaction of pleasure just to mention a few, these pleasant things has been exalted and have been, in most corners, given higher priority and attention more than God in the hearts of men. How is it even possible? But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, II Timothy 3:1-4 NKJV So, check ☑ your heart again and make sure that nothing compromises the place to God
Idol worship is an unnecessary distraction that could keep people who do so out of the reach of God's Likeness. The image of God is like the traits deposited in the DNA, the Likeness is fully optimized by constant Fellowship with our maker....
Since God judged Satan and cast him and his cohorts out from heaven, he was all out for revenge. This opportunity came big time when God created man. God made man in his image and gave them Godlike power to create things like God. When man starts creating things the glory, honour and praise generated from his creativity also returns to God who gave the ability. Here's where Satan comes in, with the highest level of perversion, he turns man against God by causing man made in the image of God to surrender his Godlike abilities to create and make things happen to a helpless molten or crafted image, asking it to take his place and make things happen for him - believe me, Satan can make some of those helpless images look like they are making things happen. The 2nd thing here is not just for Satan to hurt the heart of God, he goes further through idol worship to stop some glory and praise from returning to God! This one is dangerous because God won't share his glory with anything.....
Imaginations rules the world - in a simple way, the standards of this world are set and controlled by Exalted imaginations. These imaginations control the desire of most people, and others join because that's what everybody is doing. But your God given Destiny is much more than what everybody else is doing or running after... To take over control of any size, we must cast down imaginations (and every thought) contrary to the word of God. In doing this, we have separated ourselves from what controls the children of this world. We lay a new heavenly standards and become light in this dark and perverse generation....
If pulling down strongholds could be difficult, casting down imaginations is more even more advanced than that... This week we explore how to cast down imaginations and what to do after casting them out.
Exalted imaginations! It was the downfall of Lucifer, son of the morning. But wait a minute, that same old serpent is making an idol out of everything that surrounds us. Since the result of Lucifer's Exalted imaginations were hell fire for ever, He's out to setup as many people as possible to tow the path that has brought him eternal domination.
Satan's subtlety and deception has gone up to a great level of sophistication nowadays that he has completely changed the old school worship of an image (idols). Exalted Images (IDOLS) have cut across our society and daily living to the point that almost all of us have one or more we admire. From one trend to the other, he creates a lot of things that now becomes the most important, indispensable and something we cannot do without on daily basis.... It's simply an idol (Exalted Images) and once they take that most important place in our lives means that they are been worshipped and there many of them these days competing for our attention. Since Satan knows that God is a jealous God, who won't share..... with anything, he Exalts a lot of things (image) and cause men to run after vanities with everything in them... And that, my brothers and sisters, is the best way to really, really piss God off....
Imagination builds hope, Faith gives substance to that Hope and our confession keeps our fervent....

Jacob's Ringstreaked Image is a clear reminder that Satan can set up images that can affect your life in the physical and position them (like a trap) waiting for you when ever you are hungry - this hunger or thirst also includes all kinds of emotions.
In the world of imagination, thoughts that hit your mind are controlled by some spirits.... If you approve the mental pictures, the spirit behind it starts working on you to complete the script and manifest the thought in the physical world.
Since the old serpent overcame Eve by attacking her alone, He's never given up on using the same old trick. Selfishness, greed, individualistic ambitions, self-interest etc he'll use all these and more to brake people apart just to make sure that the people God don't have, imagine and pursue same mental picture (image) That's the Cooperate Challenge!
While Satan attacks your mind strongly while you are alone (idle) because that's when your mind is most active in terms of imagination, he literally can't can stop or get into a mind that is consumed with a cooperate imagination.... This same cooperate imagination is the greatest secret of the Tower of Babel, the key to doing the impossible be it in our homes, schools or workplaces.
Mental pictures (Images) contains sequences (steps) that drives the image home (reality) Before you buy into an image in your mind, make sure that it won't take you away to where you're not supposed to be. It's still the old serpent same old tricks - selling a poisonous (self-destructive) tool with a self-development cover and kit.
Every mental picture has a sequence. God wants to Train us how to build the sequence which involves putting in little restrictions here and there. On the other hand, Satan sells to you captivating mental images with hidden sequence which are usually self destructive and kills softly.
It all began with an image... In the mind of God.... At the creation of the world... At the fall of mankind... The redemption of mankind... The battles in our minds.... What controls us subconsciously... They all have something to do with images that have been established in our minds, accepted by our imagination, controlling our words and actions and creating the exact situations that we are in....
