On this episode of the Paul Stone Sports Podcast, Paul wants you to really think about your early assessments as we head into week four of college football.
You, just like Paul, have probably formed some opinions on the relative strength of many of the teams thus far. Some teams have absolutely raised their starting power rating substantially, while others have decreased by the same amount.
Reacting to this initial performance as a sports bettor makes sense. But, as Paul will explain, be cautious about over-reacting for a variety of reasons.
Lastly, Paul has identified a few teams where week four is an ideal time to buy low and/or sell high.

Do you remember the first time you fell in love? Paul remembers his like it was yesterday.
In fact, he'll never forget when he first set eyes on the extremely favorable odds on the Over one Saturday morning many years ago. It was the first game of the season; two high-powered offenses. It was a sunny day with a measly 2mph wind. The conditions were all set for a high scoring game. And the over was only 44.5 points! Paul couldn't believe it. He was in love.
Unfortunately, the flame burned out quickly. Paul was left heartbroken by Saturday afternoon when the game ended 21-9.
The moral of this (possibly made up) story - be careful of the lure in betting favorites and overs, especially early in the season.
On this episode of the Paul Stone Sports Podcast, Paul explains why you should take a closer examination of the underdogs and the under on the front-end of the college football season.

On this episode of the Paul Stone Sports Podcast, Paul is digging into a Tweet that he sent out earlier this week which read, "Wagering on sports at its best should not be viewed as a short-term means of creating excitement for your consumption pleasure, but rather a long-term strategy rooted in patience, probability and investment.
Some people certainly do wager on sports as a form of entertainment and may be just fine with some level of long-term loss. They just enjoy the adrenaline rush of the wager. And that's ok if that is your end goal.
But if you're looking for (profitable) success in sports betting, Paul explains why you have to center your strategy around patience, probability and investment.
Speaking of success in sports betting, Paul is off of his eighth-straight winning season in College Football going 56% against the spread as monitored by The Sports Monitor of Oklahoma. But of course there's another option, too! You can skip the preparation and piggyback on Paul's hard work by getting access to all of Paul's College Football (and PGA) selections. Paul is off of his fourth-straight winning season in College Football going 56% against the spread.
