I'm delighted to get together with Marcus Quinlan, the man behind Oranmore Cycle Bus; and discuss all aspects of cycling to schools in our village.

"Cycle Bus is a community initiative whose aim is to get children of school going age cycling to and from school safely.

The Cycle Bus is  guided by volunteers from the local community, and parents who join us for the spin, to ensure your child’s safety along the route, and help them:

  • improve their cycling skills;
  • develop road safety awareness;
  • build their confidence;

and show them that cycling is a fun, healthy activity, and an enjoyable and energetic way to start their day."  [https://galwaycyclebus.weebly.com/]

Amhrán Mór is an intergenerational community choir based in Oranmore. People of all ages, nationalities, ethnicities and abilities come together to share their love for music.

I'm joined by the man behind the idea, John De Búrca and the musical director, Ronan De Búrca in the improvised recording studio - a classroom of John's preschool. They take us on a journey all the way from the idea, through concerts, struggles during the COVID-19 pandemic and reveal their current project.
