Hello, I am Larry Maley (pen named L.R. Maley)
An avid fan of science fiction and fantasy stories, trying my hand at writing in these genres is my current life adventure. Over the years, I have had many ideas for stories that I thought I should try to to put to print. The Chronicles of the Manaar is the first to find its way.
This story has been broken down into nine parts, or chronicles if you will. In my mind, each chronicle is marked by growth and development of the Immersed. The world around them parallels the medieval period of Europe, though I have skewed the culture slightly to reflect how the use of mana has influenced it.

From Alice...
I grew up without a television, so books became my window toother worlds and I never really came back. Reading turned into writing and I fell in love with creating my own stories full of magic, adventure, and heroes. I enjoy all kinds of fantasy, from epic quests to gritty steampunk to magic in the modern world. I'm passionate about mental health, diversity, and representation, and I believe everyone deserves to see themselves in the stories they love.

Patrick Sangimino worked as a journalist for over forty years, writing for large newspapers throughout California and the Midwest. He worked during the print journalism golden age and saw it slowly shift into the digital age. From beat reporter to award-winning columnist, Patrick wrote about some of the biggest sporting stories of all time, including eight seasons of the National Football League, World Series games, and local legends who made athletic history.
A self-described “ink-in-the-veins” writer, Patrick was not merely a journalist, he was a weaver of tales. His craft was motivated by a native curiosity, relentless doggedness in pursuit of fact, and the deeply human understanding that accompanied membership in the communities he served. His columns were read devotionally, acclaimed for their humor, pathos, and biting acuity.
Having retired in 2024, Patrick devoted himself to fiction. But whereas his columns were anchored firmly in the real world, so too is his fiction. Dogs Chase Cars is his first novel, but it feels like the accumulation of a lifetime of experience unvarnished, perceptive, sometimes self-aware, always uncompromisingly truthful.
Sangimino now spends his retirement doing what he’s always done best writing. Whether looking back or making up stories for the future, his pen still pursues meaning, memory, and perhaps a little bit of mischief.

Bjorn was born in the Lowcountry of South Carolina a long, long time ago. He has worked in manufacturing all his working life to feed himself but has nourished his mind with the study of many topics; history of all eras, the paranormal, astronomy, writing of different types, photography, archeology, genealogy, vexillology, some other -ologies, even stock car racing for a couple of years, and on and on. Bjorn finds just about everything fascinating in some way and has been accused of being too easily entertained. A blend of a few of his interests led to the creation of the Thalsparr Universe. Sharon’s debut literary novel, The Meeting of Air and Water, was a novel-in-progress finalist in the William Wisdom-William Faulkner novel competition in 2019. The novel was inspired bythe photographs of Fonville Winans, a Baton Rouge photographer who documented Louisiana Cajun life in the 1920s. It follows the lives of two women artists, one grandmother to the other, who struggle against societal and cultural expectations that threaten their need to create. The intense atmosphere of the novel functions as a contributing character that enhances the compelling narrative. The novel makes use of Sharon’s experiences of summer vacations onLake Pontchartrain in an area of lake camps in east New Orleans called Little Woods. Sadly, none of these camps so beloved by many New Orleanians remains, having been destroyed over the years by hurricanes.

Award winning author and photographer, Gary Smith, continues his mystery adventure series of the character Warren Steelgrave. True to the title of his first novel, The Willing, Steelgrave gets involved in investigating a bomb threat by a radicalized Middle Eastern hate group. The terrorists' plan is complex and ever-evolving. Their target may be different than the information first uncovered since their hatred is not limited toward only one religion.
Central to the story, author Smith highlights Steelgrave's unique ability to utilize the help of three very distinct entities: the local national police of Italy, a powerful Mafia crime family, and a supportive American FBI agent. The cooperation between them and with Steelgrave must remain clandestine to prevent public scrutiny, especially since the crime family subscribes to the principle "the end justifies the means".
Steelgrave's ability to anticipate the terrorists' elusive actions once again proves his worth. Unfortunately, Steelgrave then drops his guard and an unexpected act of retribution results in near-fatal knife wounds. As he is recovering, his true-love, Cindy O'Brien, reappears but only for a very short reunion.

“I knew things were getting weird when I saw my best friend’s face in the campfire. I didn’t realize how weird until the campfire followed me home . . .”
Thirteen-year-old Samantha “Sam” MacReady is nervous about the start of Grade 8, especially science class, which isn’t too surprising: last year, her Grade 7 science class mysteriously disappeared on the way to a field trip she missed out on.
But when her best friend, Lorenzo―who no one has seen since he got on the bus with the rest of that class―suddenly appears in a campfire, she moves from nervous to freaked out. She teams up with Meg LeBlanc, the sole student survivor of what all adults refer to as “The Tragedy,” to uncover just what went on that day and why Lorenzo is now showing up in her back yard made entirely of flames.
What the two girls find out is far freakier and scarier than they ever imagined. Sam and Meg must use all their grit and intelligence to save the day and free their friends from magical enslavement . . . or fall victim to the very same fate.

From James...
A native New Yorker, born and raised in the Bronx, I spent my
adolescence years in Fort Apache, the South Bronx 41st precinct during the 60’s. Raised on blues, soul, and rock and roll gave me the heart of a flower child. Educated by the turmoil of Vietnam, Civil Rights, and the Sexual Revolution turned me into a gladiator. Realizing the precariousness of life gave me an adventurous outlook to try anything once, and if it did not kill me, maybe twice.
years of Catholic education and a couple of years in college spread wild drug induce euphoric years, which did not kill me, gave me an unique moral compass that swings in any direction it wants. scientific mind and a spirit that nothing is impossible if you want it bad enough guides my writings. I enjoy traveling to new places and seeing what life has to offer.
I began writing short stories and poetry back in my early years. In my twenties I moved on to novels, but I fell out of love with the whole publishing industry. I worked in the financial industry as a processing clerk and later got a degree in computer programming, my other love. I have a successful career as a software engineer designing, developing and maintaining systems for the government and the private sector. I been programming for nearly forty years in various languages.
With the advantages provided by the expanding and growing self publishing business (print on demand over vanity publishing) and the explosion of social media/internet as a viable means of advertising I have returned to my first love, unleashing the characters in my head. Actually I never stopped writing, now that the kids are grown and my wife realizes that I have little other interest outside the bedroom, and I’m still a hopeless insomniac, I am free to pound out plots. Killer With A Heart is the first in a series for Bulletproof Morris ‘Mojo’ Johnson.
I enjoy writing crime stories and science fiction, with a slant on the dark side of life. Pegasus: A Journey To New Eden answers the question my wife asked me some years ago, “How do I feel about nuclear war?” I told her I was all for it as long as we find someplace else to live. My science fiction deals with the emotional effects of technology. Thirty years ago when a single computer filled an entire room and I was writing games on a monochrome screen I knew two things were certain. Computer games would be big and computers for all the good they can do would put a lot of people out of work.

From Candice: Born in Montreal, Quebec, I spent years backpacking and working around the world. I have a Bachelor of Commerce degree, an MBA, and worked for twenty years on four different continents and now call Calgary, Alberta home.
I got married, had kids, and things got busy. Time was moving by quickly and my kids were growing up fast. I shifted gears and quit my job to spend time at home. During the COVID lockdown, I had time on my hands, decided to try writing, and started writing the Back in a Year series.
When I’m not at my computer yelling “Just a few more pages, then I’ll make dinner,” I love hiking in the Rocky Mountains, hot yoga, reading romance novels, and making up new cake recipes. I especially like to laugh and spend time with my husband, the self-proclaimed grumpy motherf*%ker, and my three awesome kids.

Ben Schenkman likes many things in life: his 20-pound Maine coon cat, his family, his coffee, and his eclectic hobbies—not necessarily in that order.
Ben also likes to play devil’s advocate in his urban fantasy books by exploring the gray areas of good and evil with questions like, “Does the end really justify the means? Or is it all simply black and white?” Ben leaves these questions lingering in the ether to challenge readers’ conventional thinking and delve into the complexities of moral dilemmas.
As a native of Connecticut, Ben draws inspiration from his upbringing and college years in New Haven, where his novels take place. When he wants to escape being a writer, he’s a massive foodie who goes on gastronomic adventures, an overachiever who collects degrees in Theater, Nuclear Engineering, and an MBA, or the manager/performer of the fire dance troupe, HVBRIS—you know, the basics. No big deal.

Diversity is one of Alison McBain's passions. With dual Canadian-U.S. citizenship, a Japanese-American mother and a B.A. in African history and classical literature, she has an eclectic background and a wide range of experience. She grew up in California and moved to the East Coast in her mid-twenties. Recently, she moved back to Alberta, where she is raising her three daughters.
She started her writing career at age four with a "self-published" horror story about the monster in the closet. The story was highly lauded by her closest family members. Since then, she's received a number of writing awards and accolades from people not even vaguely related to her, but she still has a soft spot for that first short story.
Her interest in diversity also extends to fiction. With over seventy publications to her name, her stories and poems range in tone from serious to silly. They cover nearly every genre, including literary, romance, horror, science fiction, fantasy, history and adventure.
When not writing fiction, she follows her own personal mantra of, "Do something creative every day." She serves as the Associate Editor for the literary magazine ScribesMICRO. She also blogs about local events, showcases her art and conducts author interviews on her website, http://www.alisonmcbain.com/.
BarbaraM. Britton not only loves to write about the Bible, but she has also taught Bible stories for over thirty years. She is multi-published in Christian Fiction where she brings little-known Bible stories to light, or she makes you swoon with her sweet romances. She has a nutrition degree from Baylor University but loves to dip healthy strawberries in chocolate. Barbara lives in Wisconsin with her husband of almost four decades and an indulged cat. Her sons are grown but they still come home and request their favorite recipes. From Sci-fi Author M. A. (Max) Wall: I have been affiliated with the military for most of my life. I curse, I can be abrupt, and I save flowery wording for pissed off people and pretty metaphors. I have no problem with people poking holes in the science of a speculative fiction story, and I’m a scientist that has spent most of my career asking people to point out the flaws in my work. That being said, I do not look forward to the added trolls upsetting people that just want to enjoy a good book, but they’re always around.

Peter Gribble is a writer and a lifelong studentof history whose work explores the intersections of knowledge, power, and the human condition. His fantasy series, “The City of the Magicians,” is set in a civilization that rejects traditional warfare. The series examines how intellect, psychological strategy, and telepathic abilities can be both a society’s greatest strength and its most dangerous vulnerability. Influenced by his childhood in postwar France—where silence about the war was as pervasive as its lingering shadows—Gribble crafts stories that explore the dangers of complacency and the consequences of pacifism and brutality colliding.
Gribble studied art at Sheridan College School of Design, experimental psychology at the University of Toronto, and education at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education. He has written for NUVO and various British Columbia publications, including gardening columns for two journals over a decade. His time working in bookstores reinforced his belief in the power of books to inspire, challenge and transform. Learn more at PeterGribble.com.

A devoted academic and speaker of three languages, she holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism; a graduate certificate in Scriptwriting; and a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing.

From an early age, in the small town of Spanish Fort, Alabama, Brian delighted in conjuring fantastical worlds and unique characters. Alone in his room, he imagined them in most dire of situations, overcoming impossible odds, and snatching victory from the jaws of defeat. It was fun and gave a hyperactive child a way to occupy his mind constructively, rather than wreak havoc and get into trouble.
By the time Brian reached his teens, he was doing his level best to give his inner voice a real world platform for expression. Though it was not likely that anyone else would take time to read the fruits of his labors, he didn't care. The simple act of creation was where he derived his pleasure.
As an adult, other interests dominated his life. He continued writing, but without hopes of turning it into a career, instead focused on the dream of being a rock star. As it turned out, he wasn't cut from the right cloth and was never able to realize his ambitions.
It was in his late thirties, now with a wife and young son, his love of writing circled back into his life. And with the encouragement of those who love him, and with no small amount of inspiration of his boy, he finally found his purpose. It was in front of him the entire time. But he just didn't see it.
Many worlds, thousands of characters and more than a dozen novels later, he can look back at the events leading him to this point with a sense of humor. The various misadventures and terrible choices had become sources of inspiration, whereas before they had been thorns of regret - memories he would use to malign himself in those dark moments of reflection.

In his day job, Lance Robinson is an environmental social scientist who often works closely with mobile peoples. He is a sporadic nomad himself, having lived variously in countries such as Ghana, the Gambia, Colombia, and Kenya. He began writing speculative fiction as a child, and by his early twenties his stories began appearing in small press magazines. In the early 1990s, he even entered the Writers of the Future Contest two or three times. Eventually, though, his life filled up with other things and he set creative writing aside.
Recently, however, when he returned home to Canada, he decided it was also time to come back home to writing. Since then, his stories have often explored how our relationship with the natural world is intertwined with our spiritual journeys—as individuals, as communities, and as a collective humanity. Lance is also an avid astronomy and space-travel nut, and he found the germ of his story “Five Days Until Sunset” at the intersection of pondering the spiritual search that never ends and wondering what life might be like on a tidally locked, “eyeball” planet. The story also asks what it means to live in harmony with a world that is ready to kill you, and what it means to have faith in the face of inconvenient truths. Lance and his two children currently make their home in Robinson-Superior Treaty territory on the traditional land of the Anishnaabeg peoples and Fort William First Nation in the City of Thunder Bay, Ontario.
Our exodus family awoke on the new world—a paradise inexplicably teeming with Earth life, the Promise fulfilled. But 154 of us are missing. . . .—“Five Days Until Sunset” by Lance Robinson

Laurel 'Loz' Cadman was born and raised in Staffordshire, United Kingdom. She is an aspiring author who has been writing fiction since she was young. She went on hiatus after failing her GCSE English thus losing her confidence, thinking she will never become a published author, that is until the creative spark came back in 2021. Loz doesn't let anything stand in her way from achieving her dreams and always wants to prove to the world that people on the autism spectrum are capable with living independent and are able to achieve big!
Reality bending fiction is what Loz loves to write about as she has always admire stories that defy reality and allow the imagination to run free. She has always found this to be her interest in all medias, especially in video games.
Her debut novel 'Midnight Devotion' was written after attending a gig in Birmingham late October 2021 and she immediately became inspired to write again when she rediscovered her passion for fiction. She felt as though she would have full control of its content and the way it is being presented if she were to self-publish rather than going traditionally.
Her love for rock and metal, along with ambient post rock music play a huge influence for her writing, especially for her vampire punk band novel series! Music is her biggest influence for creativity as she can emotionally connect to the music she listen to, whether it's music from video games, movies and TV, a playlist compiled by Spotify towards a certain genre, or connecting songs and albums to her memories.
When she isn't writing, Loz would either be working out at the gym, playing guitar, playing video games, catching up on the wrestling, reading, gardening, or listening to music and a variety of podcasts.
Loz currently resides in Staffordshire with her partner, her two house bunnies, and his two guinea pigs!

Writing stories as a little girl was the way I coped with the world around me. At 16, I faced a traumatic event that forever changed who I am and made me into the person I am today, but despite how hard it has been to heal - it didn't take away the storyteller in me. I continued to write throughout all those years I felt lost, bringing my characters to life and using it as my escape. I always knew I would be an author one day, but it wasn't until another tragedy- losing my son, Joseph, in 2013, who was born still - finally ignited my writing career. I began to write my story and didn't stop.
My memoir, Just Be, was published in 2018 and while I always knew I would venture into sweet romantic fiction, writing my story was important because for me - it is my ultimate love story.
Why sweet romance? Because stories with happy endings can help us grow as people and help us to be brave in a world that has many distractions, stresses, and where love is often challenged. My passion is to write and share romance that connects my readers with my characters whom they can relate to, smile within my stories and feel encouraged by the love that changes their lives, their relationships and their faith. Just as I wrap love around me every single day since overcoming trauma and grief.
You can connect with me in many ways -Sign up for my newsletter, read my latest blog or check out the latest on my social media channels.

Lieutenant Adeheid Koning was only 23 when the Earth's long fight against its environment ended in collapse and nuclear war. Earth's sudden silence leaves the colonies of the inner solar system without life-lines, in various stages of self-sufficiency. Or, in Mercury's case, not. To help her fellow stranded colonists of Mercury survive against starvation and a breakdown of order, Adelheid fights against some cold equations and makes some hard choices, ending up wearing an iron crown as queen of one of the rail cities of Mercury, constantly moving to stay ahead of the Sun.
Fifty years later, Adelheid's granddaughter Frieda is a 17-year-old princess who would rather be an engineer. Frieda's life is shattered when a suspicious accident takes one of her arms -- and is then turned upside-down when her mother dies from that accident. Frieda is left a young and vulnerable queen, locking horns with her grandmother, who is now regent and dowager.
When the Earth makes contact again, after fifty years of silence, Frieda is eager to end Mercury's isolation, but Adelheid is suspicious of the Earth's sudden return, and wary of the other latitude towns' desires to accept all that the Earth is offering, without question.
With thousands of lives on the line, is it wise to hope for healing? Or are we forever defined by what we do in the dark?
"The Sun Runners" is a story of intergenerational trauma, the cost of survival, and the necessary risks of hope.

From Sebastien... When I was sixteen, I was off on an island, camping by myself, and ended up having to wait about six hours for a ferry. While sitting on the pier, I read a book titled Bard by Keith Taylor filled with music, adventure, and swordplay. I was hooked. Unfortunately, it turns out there’s no such job as “bard” these days, so I’ve made do with a string of strange vocations, all of which brought me right back to books, only now I get to write them for a living!

Having transitioned from the classroom as a teacher 18 years ago to grassroots organizing, Michael has worked on campaigns at every level—from local to presidential—gaining firsthand insight into the personal costs of pursuing power. A former candidate and elected official himself, Michael retired from political life in 2020.
After years in the political trenches, Michael took the leap to pursue a long-held passion: writing. Dusting off a manuscript penned in 2004, he overhauled it, leading to the release of his award-winning debut novel, What It Takes to Kill a Bull Moose in June 2024. This political thriller, the first in his “Bull Moose” series, has already garnered multiple awards and critical acclaim for its intense plot, accurate detail, and rich character development.
Michael earned both master’s and bachelor’s degrees from Penn State University. As a father and husband, he thoroughly enjoys forging new memories by planning adventures from the Fedor Family Bucket List.
Like the main character of Bull Moose, Michael is an avid outdoorsman, tenderhearted, a voracious reader, and a student of history. Michael remains undefeated at pub trivia.

From Hollis... Growing up a Navy brat gave me an extreme case of wanderlust and paved the way to becoming certifiably obsessed with ancient cultures, travel, and writing. Living abroad as a child helped to foster a sense of fun and wonderment at the world around me. Suffice to say that I loved my childhood so much so, that perhaps I never really grew up in my own head. Basically, you should never stop playing in life. The colors are much brighter that way!
My Father retired from the Navy when I was eleven, and I met Ashley, my very best friend and more of a sister, actually. One of the many activities we bonded over in our mutual creative nerdiness was playing Dungeons & Dragons. Over twenty five years later, we are still super geeks creating wonderful worlds and characters in between our adult lives. One of our adventures was the inspiration for my first novel, To Save a World, for which I am presently writing a sequel.

I'd love to hear from you.
From Savannah... My debut novel was released from Harpeth Road Press on May 7, 2024: The Library of Second Chances. I’m also currently editing my second novel, The Summer of Starting Over, and writing what I hope will be my third. They’re all small town romances set in fun, beachy locales. So, if you’re ready for a mental vacation, you’ve come to the right place!
Now to let you in on my little secret…my legal name is Kristi Dosh. I decided to go with a pen name when I started writing romance. People have lots of reasons for choosing to use a pen name, but as you can tell mine wasn’t anonymity.
If you happen to know me already as Kristi, then you know I’ve spent more than a decade now as a sports business reporter for outlets such as ESPN and Forbes and have published a book on the business of college football under that name. It’s also the name I used in my former life as an attorney.
Having spent more than a decade building up my platform as a sports business expert, my website and social channels under my real name are all full of dedicated sports fans…who I love. But, they’re not exactly the same demographic that might want to read romance novels.
So, I get to reinvent myself and be someone brand new, which I think will be a lot of fun. If you decide to follow me on this journey, I’m glad to have you along!

Noted Canadian non-fiction author and long-time CBC columnist Mark Morton makes his debut as a novelist with The Headmasters, coming February 6 from Shadowpaw Press; a gripping, provocative post-apocalyptic dystopian young adult tale that asks the question, “How do you learn from the past if there isn’t one?”
Sixty years ago as The Headmasters opens, something awful happened. Something that killed everyone except the people at Blue Ring, a research facility in northern Ontario. Something that caused the Headmasters to appear. But young Maple doesn’t know what is was. Because talking about the past is forbidden.
Everyone at Blue Ring has a Headmaster. They sink their sinewy coils into your skull and control you, using your body for backbreaking toil and your mind to communicate with each other.
When someone dies, their Headmaster transfers to someone new. But so do the dead person’s memories, and if one of those memories surfaces in the new host’s mind, their brain breaks. That’s why talking about the past is forbidden.
Maple hates this world where the past can’t exist and the future promises only more suffering. And she hates the Headmasters for making it that way. But she doesn’t know how to fight them – until memories start to surface in her mind from someone who long ago came close to defeating the Headmasters.
But whose memories are they? Why aren’t they harming her? And how can she use them to defeat the Headmasters? Maple has to find the answers herself, unable to tell anyone what she’s experiencing or planning—not even Thorn, the young man she’s falling in love with.
Thorn, who has some forbidden secrets of his own . . .

From J. Alexander Cohen...
I always wanted to write. I loved the Peanuts comics where Snoopy would tap out stories on his typewriter, defying physics sitting perched atop his doghouse. From the age of 14 I took writing seriously and spent my evenings on Dad’s Selectric in the basement, followed by my home computer.
I wrote my first good novel, Bear Like Me, in 1999, and it was published in 2003. It took from age 14 to age 31 for my writing to get good enough to be published. From 2003 to 2019, my writing was on hiatus while I was helping Mom out with Dad and his mild cognitive impairment…later, Alzheimer’s.
I’ve been very fortunately that all of my jobs have involved writing in one way or another: legal editor, CD-ROM editor, freelance writer, technical writer, marketing writer, court reporter, blogger and so on.
It’s been a checkered career, but all that experience has been great grist for the fiction writing mill.
I started writing seriously again after major surgery in 2020. My first project was a podcast, The Lavender Tavern. You can find out about my other writing work on the rest of this site.
My latest novel, Talio’s Codex, is out now.

As a fan of fantasy and science fiction, those are the genres he focuses on in his writing, with an emphasis on action and adventure. His goal is to spread some of the joy he gets from reading by putting my own fantastical stories out into theworld.

April Grace has always lived in Milton Keynes, and now lives with her boyfriend and, a few nights a week, his two cheeky sons. She has been writing young adult novels for twelve years now, which all started when she decided to write stories on Wattpad while she was supposed to be working hard on modules for her A Levels. (But she did go onto study Creative Writing at university the following year, so it all worked out in the end.)
TWO WORLDS: ONE OF MAGIC, ONE OF STEEL.
She just wants to belong.
Determined to fit in and connect with her human friends, android Silver has always felt like an outsider within her human travelling community. In Elysia, humans are seen as outsiders, their steel queen claiming every last one of them as rebels. They’ve always been on the run. Like her mother, Silver just wants to help others.
But when cruel Queen Magnolia’s soldiers come looking for their missing princess, who was stolen by rebels when she was only three years old, Silver begins to unravel an endless string of secrets woven into the family she has always cared for. Could her parents have stolen her from the Elysian palace when she was small? Worse, could she be the princess they’re looking for?

From the author...
Hi there! I’m Joshua Damon and my journey started in 1993.
I was raised in the enchanting seaside villages of the Maritimes on the east coast of Canada. Where many of my settler ancestors arrived on the shores many hundreds of years ago from England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, and parts of Scandinavia. My childhoodwas painted by the majestic mountains of New Brunswick and the tranquil red sand beaches of Prince Edward Island. Growing up in a rural setting allowed me many great freedoms as a child that I appreciate very much today.
Living in a rural setting allowed me the comfort of having many different pets and canine companions throughout my life.
I have a very special place in my heart for dogs. I have so many beautiful dogs in my life who are not just faithful companions but also vital energies that enrich my existence. I love dogs so much.
One of the most remarkable things I have ever done was that I took the long and arduous journey of moving to a new country. At the time of publishing this manuscript I found myself living in the rural Ozark mountains of Arkansas, a significant shift from mydecade-long residence in the cybernetic landscape of Toronto, Ontario.
It's a transition that carries with it a profound recognition of the responsibility to honor and respect the Indigenous peoples and the ancestral lands upon which I now reside.
The territory I call home has deep roots in Indigenous heritage, and I am ever thankful for the privilege of living on Turtle Island, the ancient and sacred land.
I have been intuitive and psychic for as young as I can remember. I embarked on the path of a witch from a young age, blessed with the freedom to explore my own spiritual identity by open-minded parents who never imposed a specific religion upon me.
My spiritual practices are many different influences combined together to create diverse strands of energy, a reflection of my eclectic approach to witchcraft. Astrological influences, ancestor worship, shamanic rituals, and a variety of traditions collectively guide my path. It's a journey that embraces a multitude ofdeities, pantheons, and energies, always with the utmost respect for their cultural origins. In my perspective, cultural appreciation, not appropriation, is the guiding principle.

William C. Tracy writes tales of the Dissolutionverse: a science fantasy series about planets connected by music-based magic instead of spaceflight. This series currently includes a three-book epic space opera cycle. It also includes five novelettes and novellas, including a coming of age story, tales of political intrigue, a Sherlock Holmes-like mystery, a Jules Verne style adventure. Several books include LGBT-friendly elements.
His first epic fantasy from NineStar Press is Fruits of the Gods, about a land where magic comes from seasonal fruit, and two sisters plot to take down a corrupt government.
William is a North Carolina native and a lifelong fan of science fiction and fantasy. He has a master's in mechanical engineering, and has both designed and operated heavy construction machinery. He has also trained in Wado-Ryu karate since 2003, and runs his own dojo in Raleigh NC. He is an avid video and board gamer, a reader, and of course, a writer.
In his spare time, he cosplays with his wife such combinations as Steampunk Agent Carter and Jarvis, Jafar and Maleficent, and Doctor Strange and the Ancient One. They also enjoy putting their pets in cute little costumes and making them cosplay for the annual Christmas card.

From J.L. - I am an independent author, writing urban fantasy, paranormal, and cozy mystery, and began my career in 2016. The Eclipse Series was my first foray into writing, and I am very excited to share Book 1, Eclipse of the Warrior. I currently am writing full time, but before I started writing I had a successful career as a Purchasing Manager and Contracts Administrator. And am very proud to have served in the US Army before I went to college.
I am a graduate of the International Business program at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Which is perfect because I have always been a bit of a rebel, but now I am an official Running Rebel!
I hope my stories entertain you and can bring a laugh on occasion. I am not writing great literature intended to rival Ann Rice or Jane Austen. But I do hope you enjoy the stories rattling around my head.

Today Kelly shared about her upcoming releases and an exclusive tidbit about her fall release, the title to her upcoming vampire novel which will be the first book in a trilogy.
Kelly Martin lives in a possibly haunted house in a small southern town. While she'd like to say paranormal things have only happened to her at her home, it would be a lie...
She is an active member of the Horror Writers Association and author of horror, paranormal, contemporary, historical, young adult, and mysteries. All of Kelly's books have one thing in common-- imagine the real world is tilted slightly on its side. You don't really know what's going on, what's missing, but there is a tilt, a hum you can barely hear, telling you that something is off.

Find out the secret to how Dave names his chapters in our discussion about his urban fantasy books. A native of Ames, Iowa, Dave loves writing, reading, boardgames, computer games, improv comedy, pizza, barbarian movies, and the cheaper end of the Taco Bell menu. Also, his wife and kids.
Dave is the author of Snood, Snoodoku, Snood Towers, and other computer games. Dave first published Snood in 1996, and it became one of the most popular shareware games of the early Internet. He’s recently published some puzzle card games in the Doctor Esker’s Notebook series.
Dave taught geology, environmental studies, and computer programming at Guilford College for 24 years. He does improv comedy at the Idiot Box in Greensboro, North Carolina. He’s also played the world’s largest tuba in concert. Not that that is relevant, but it’s still kinda cool.
Flames Over Frosthelm was Dave’s first novel, released in 2019. He followed it a year later with Traitors Unseen and The Outcast Crown, then Daros in 2021 and The Woeling Lass in 2022. He’s currently at work on another sci-fi novel and a contemporary thriller.

Natasha D. Lane is a friend of most things caffeinated, a lover of books, and a writing warrior to her core.
As a believer that “the pen is mightier than the sword,” she graduated from Juniata College in 2015 with hopes to become a journalist. Instead, life took her on a different path, and Natasha found herself digging up a manuscript from her childhood.
This dusty stack of papers would become the first book in her Pariah Child series-- a series that was her launch into self-publishing. Since completing her first series, Natasha has continued exploring the fantasy and science fiction genres to make sense of a chaotic yet interesting world.

Elizabeth Lavender is the author of the Sunspear series. The first book in the sci-fi series is called The Spinning of Deception, the second book is Deception's Hold, and the third book is Shadowed Bonds. I'm currently working on the next book in the series. Originally from the Alabama coast, I currently live in the Dallas area with my husband and my two children. I have a Master’s degree in counseling, a bachelor’s degree in psychology, and a minor in English. I enjoy science fiction and fantasy and hope to bring that same enjoyment to others. I also enjoy suspense novels. However, as long as the storyline is intriguing, I’ll give other genres a try. My reading spans from Les Misérables to Shakespeare to the Percy Jackson series to anything written by Ted Dekker or Frank Peretti. I work full-time and have been at the same company for over twenty years happily. I’m a huge football fan and have a decent throwing arm, despite what my oldest son says when he practices throwing the football with me. Although I enjoy Texas, I love going home to Alabama to visit. Besides visiting family and friends, it’s nice to be back near the water again and enjoy the amazing seafood.

She’s definitely attracted to his type and he seems as close to perfect as a guy could get. Only problem, she’d sworn off dating hot, muscled, athletic types for good.
Wronged by a string of jocks, Bree creates a hard rule: no dating athletes. Further, she enacts a list of other guidelines to protect a fragile heart. As per the rules, coffee meetups don’t count as dates, lunch doesn’t count as a date, there will be no physical displays of affection until after a real date, and no sex until he commits to an exclusive relationship.
Enter Nate. Tall and muscular with deep blue eyes and dark hair, he’s the perfect clone for the guys that hurt her before. If it walks like a duck, it’s a duck, right?
Enter Steven. She could not have ordered a more perfect person. Okay, so he is muscular, but not too tall. Be he’s also focused on his career. Definitely the mature man she’s been looking for.
When Bree allows herself to give in to her feelings, sparks fly. They’re happier than could be imagined. But being a couple is about more than just the two of them. Family, religion, location, and money all factor in.
Can they meet in the middle?

His first novel 'A Saga de Alex 9' (The Alex 9 Saga) was published in Portugal in 2012, by publisher Saída de Emergência, within a series that features authors like George R.R.Martin or Bernard Cornwell. The Portuguese version of 'The Dark Sea War Chronicles' (A Batalha da Escuridão) was published by Editorial Divergência.

From Jason... Welcome to the Realm of Possibility! My name is Jason and I'm a writer. I know. I know. In a world where anyone and everyone can be (and usually is) an artist, being an artist really doesn't mean much. But let me tell you a secret: I'm not just an artist, I'm an Imagination Wizard. I practice artful magic. All of my books and stories are doorways into other worlds, not mere tales. I weave the magic of my imagination into everything I put into text and create a vivid phantasmagoria of adventure, romance, horror and suspense. This is what I do and what I offer to you.

You may be wondering.
Well, it’s real.
Way back in the shadows of the Middle Ages, an ancient ancestor walked (or should I say LIMPED) away from a big medieval battlefield having done enough service to his liege lord to merit the reward of a dukedom.
(The limping is important, incidentally. It earned his descendants the surname that is translatable as ‘son of the gimp’ – and that was my maiden name.)
The Dukedom, of course, no longer exists and the family fractured in the years of the Ottoman Empire’s rule, some converting under pressure, other proudly not – either way, the family line is traced directly… to me. That which my ancestors ruled as Dukes over is long gone – but as their descendant, a Duchess I really AM, I have a coat of arms and EVERYTHING, and I’m just attaching the title to “Fantasy” as opposed to a titular dukedom long vanished into the mists of history.
Alma Alexander, Duchess of Fantasy, at your service.

From Thomas: I’ve always been a huge fan of science fiction and super hero comics. When I was a kid I used to write and draw my own crudely constructed comic-books. My drawings never caught up to my ideas which is why I took up writing.
Versatile Layer is a Science Fiction novel series that I have planned to write for some time. I went ahead and published it myself. The goal is to eventually expand into other forms of media. I believe the VL universe and characters transcend the page and would even make for a great cinematic universe some day.

A few words from Adam... I was born in Maine, didn’t live there for long before my parents figured out that it was too bloody cold and moved south, all the way to Massachusetts. Grew up there and in Connecticut, lived in Maryland and Indiana for a while before moving back to Maine. Lived there for twenty years before I, too, decided the winters were too long. Of course, where do you to get away from long winters? COLORADO! Naturally. Married to a wonderful, inspirational, supportive woman; between us we have five kids, five dogs, and five cats.
As for my writing, well, I’ve thrown a bunch out onto Amazon. There’s a couple Sherlock Holmes stories, a few horror-ish shorts, and then you get to my longer books: Refuge, a time-traveling take on vampire stories, and The Cassidy Chronicles. Triumph’s Ashes is the fifth book in the series and completes the Artemis War story arc.

S.E. Anderson can’t ever tell you where she’s from. Not because she doesn’t want to, but because it inevitably leads to a confusing conversation where she goes over where she was born (England) where she grew up (France) and where her family is from (USA) and it tends to make things very complicated.
She’s lived pretty much her entire life in the South of France, except for a brief stint where she moved to Washington DC, or the eighty years she spent as a queen of Narnia before coming back home five minutes after she had left. She recently completed her masters of astrophysics and has started her PhD in planetary science.
When she’s not writing, or trying to science, she’s either reading, designing, crafting, or attempting to speak with various woodland creatures in an attempt to get them to do household chores for her. She could also be gaming, or pretending she’s not watching anything on Netflix.

Author Zach Adams has had a passion for writing and storytelling his entire life. However, he didn't decide to pursue it as a profession until he realized that working in retail was completely draining his remaining life force. And so, Adams set out to create a fascinating and captivating novel, which he achieved in his debut work, Dead Man Walking. Having a general distaste for his current reality, Zach aspires to escape into the science fiction and fantasy worlds that he creates. PD Alleva writes thrillers. Whether those thrillers are a Sci-Fi Fantasy series about Alien Vampires attempting to subjugate the human race, or steeped in a haunting horror novel, or an urban fantasy with paranormal themes, PD always provides readers with a profound, entertaining, and satisfying reader experience, in a new genre he has coined as alternative fiction. His novels blend mystery, conspiracy, psychology, and action with the supernatural, horror, fantasy, and science fiction. Alternative fiction is PD's attempt at describing what readers uncover in any one of his books, a new discovery towards mainstream storytelling. He's been writing since childhood, creating and developing stories with brash and impactful concepts he describes are metaphors for the shifting energies that exist in the universe. PD lives inside of his own universe, working diligently on the Sci-Fi/Fantasy series, The Rose Vol. II, the urban fantasy novella series, Girl on a Mission, and Jigglyspot and the Zero Intellect, PD’s upcoming horror thriller.

I'm totally fan-girling because I can't believe I have Katie French on my podcast!
Here's more about Katie...
Katie French is an Amazon best-selling author in Young Adult Sci-fi and Fantasy. Her book, The Breeders, was a semi-finalist in the 2014 Kindle Book Awards. Other than that, her major award includes a "Best Mom Mug" which is cute, but really, she'd rather just have the cash.
She works as a high school English teacher, and, yes, she will correct your grammar. In her free time, she writes manically, reads great books, and takes care of her three fairly mediocre children (whom she loves very much if they are reading this).
You can join her mailing list at www.katiefrenchbooks.com and receive two free full-length novels, so do it already. Contact her at katie@katiefrenchbooks.com.

L.B. Carter is a multi-award-winning, internationally bestselling author, bookworm, scientist, and cat-mom with a penchant for sarcasm and puns, an adoration about alliteration, and a fox obsession.
Her books are a mix of haunting paranormal urban fantasy, gripping suspense, chilling horror, and dark humor with a dash of light romance. Expect unique contemporary twists on magical lore told by quirky anti-heroes, and cliffhangers that keep you reaching for the next book.
Curled up in front of a winter fire under fairy lights with a book, a cup of spiced hot chocolate, something she’s baked, and her snuggly orange lap-cat is her happy place. Akane has accepted she is nothing. Until she happens upon a dying demigod in the forest, and for once, perhaps for the first time, she chooses herself.
Over twelve hundred years later, Akane is oath-bound to protect the most powerful mortal in history, the witchlord Ethan Mettles. All is not well in the House of Mettles nor with any of the remaining witchlords. Hunted by the Church and exterminated as a threat to God and humanity, these crumbling pillars of magic cling furiously to their remaining power and to their fragile allegiances. The Mettles family stands at the center of it all.
Now, the Balance is poised to shift once more with the birth of Ethan's daughter, a prize more valuable than any amount of power, and a birth that will weaken Akane considerably. With the Houses upon the razor's edge of war, Akane must discover who has infiltrated the family, who can be trusted, and how to protect the child before she no longer can.
Will Akane uncover the plot to bring down House Mettles? Or will she have to sacrifice everything and rewrite her fate once more?

Listen in as we geek out about vampires, succubus, and many more supernatural characters SF creates. SF Benson is the author of the paranormal suspense series, The Spell Caster Diaries. Although she knows everything about Falls Creek, New York and the supernaturals living there, she resides with her husband and daughter in a suburb north of Atlanta. When she’s not writing about strong heroes and heroines conquering the odds, she spends her time either reading romance and fantasy novels or binge-watching her favorite DC Universe shows or Marvel movies. Without further ado, listen in as I talk books, characters, and reading with SF Benson. You can find her at https://www.authorsfbenson.com/, https://linktr.ee/authorsfbenson, and https://www.instagram.com/authorsfbenson/. Happy listening and don't forget to find the magic!

Carlyle is a multi-genre author published by CHBB and Fire Quill publishing. She is currently writing in the dark fantasy genre (YA) but also has titles in contemporary romance, sci-fi, and dystopian genres. More from Carlyle... I don’t limit myself to just one calling. I am in love with life and extremely grateful to be human. We are all capable of greatness, we just have to choose it. I am a writer, a leader, a dream chaser. I love to travel, because life is all about experiencing what we have been gifted. I thrive on helping others. I shine because I want everyone to shine with me. Befriend me and together we can make a difference. Trees are miracle creatures – save them, love them, grow them – they are our saving grace. Being Impulsive and indecisive can be chaotic and messy, but to me it means being lead by my heart. Mistakes and failures are great achievements that lead to growth and strength. Gratitude is your magic ticket to life.
“Never sacrifice who you are, it’s in the dark times that the light comes to life.”
I love how she says we are all capable of greatness! It matches so well with my believe that we all have magical qualities!
