The Millennial Life Coach is a podcast of real-life candid conversations about millennials navigating the ups and downs of adulthood. The podcast is hosted by Millennial Life Coach, Jessica Knight, who is on a mission to help those in their twenties and thirties to break free from what society says they should be doing, accept where they are, and feel empowered and ready to create a life of their own.
Alicia Durham went through her Millennial Life Crisis when she found herself as a single mom, working a full-time job, while making a below average income. She joins me to discuss her journey of changing her relationship with money which allowed her to set up a budget and begin paying down her debt.

Burnout, millennial life crisis, and slow living are 3 of the main topics I explore with Katie Leigh. Sara Callahan is a fitness and nutrition coach. She joins me to discuss how she was chasing diets and blindly listening to others when they talked about how “you shouldn’t eat dairy,” or whatever the hot food-group-to-cancel was that week -- and how she dove into nutrition and health, took the time to learn what works and what doesn't, and crafted a mindset that works for her and her clients. We discuss binge eating, fad diets and so much more on this episode.
I booked a session with her and I recommend you do, too!

Have you ever wondered how an astrologer becomes an astrologer? Tarot and Astrology have been a part of Bess' life from a very young age and were with her as she navigated her Saturn Return (which aligns perfectly with a 'millennial life crisis'). In this episode, we dive deep into Bess' story and how she created a career out of her natural passion. We also talk about the alignment between a Saturn Return and a Millennial Life Crisis.
Every one of us experiences a Saturn Return every 27-30 years. Saturn is the planet of responsibilities, time, and wisdom - so this can feel like an upheaval. It represents your astrological coming of age. It's the push you need to enter true adulthood.
Bess is a mentor of mine, my go-to astrologer, and the woman who told me "fuck the no-man diet" (to be unpacked in a future episode). She is a magician in my eyes - I hope you enjoy this episode.

When we compare ourselves to others, without looking at the difference between our situation and theirs, we are not seeing the whole story. This episode explores that concept so you can have a more realistic perspective.

Being isolated during COVID really opened up a lot of issues for us in friendships, relationships, and ourselves. I'm noticing that I feel more separate from my friends than ever before. I sometimes joke that I'm hibernating, but it is deeper than that. I'm moving away from things that I don't want to do anymore and people whose energy drains me. Many of my clients resonate with this topic. I hope it helps you feel less alone.

When we assume what someone thinks and feels, we are literally showing them we don't care enough about them to ask. We don't take the step to clarify. This can lead us into assumption rabbit holes, causing us to act in defense, when there may not be a reason. We can eliminate this process by asking.

Whether they acknowledge it, or are aware of it, the people in our life have (subconscious) agendas for us. This episode explores the difference between a therapist and a life coach.
A life coach helps you look at the present and the future. We help you identify patterns in your past behavior so you can work towards a healthy future. We work on specific goals and actions to keep you motivated in your journey and unpack things when you get stuck. Most times, the work is tailored to you, and will help you work through limited beliefs and unhealthy patterns.

Millennial Life Crisis: when you are caught between living life and worrying about if you're ever going to be able to live the life you want.
This episode unpacks a Millennial Life Crisis. You may feel like you don’t know what you want, let alone who you are, worry you’re “not good at anything” and you’ll never find “your thing.” You may always think you’ll be happier in the next job, the next city or the next lover…and then you’re not…
I hope listening to this is validating because knowing where you are is the first step to move forward.

Let's stop settling for shit that makes us feel like shit.
Have you ever wondered what would happen if we all just decided to stop settling for less than what we want? What if we all wrote out our ideal partner? what if we said exactly how we felt? what if we called people out on their behavior? would the entire dating scene change?

We often have a moment of clarity and then talk ourselves out of it. We will say something like, "I know I should talk to her but..." and walk away from our own intuition. On this podcast, I explain what it is like to follow the clarity and how it can help you learn to listen to yourself.

On today's episode, I want to talk about this idea that I hear a lot of: "my time is gone"
This typically comes up when somebody is struggling in a toxic relationship, but they are choosing to stay. It usually sounds like; "I need to stay, I need to make it work, it was so good at the beginning, we can get back to that, I'm 33, if it doesn't work out with this guy what do I do....."
And often, we spend so much time and money working on making the square peg fit in the round hole because we believe our time is done. It's not - and I will explain why on todays podcast.
