Talk about the knowledge we gain as we go thru situations and circumstances in our life that are beyond our control or as a result of our decision making. Resilience gives credit to the knowledge gained by the experiences we go through. We will talk all things resilience and the wisdom that develops as we acknowledge the lesson, revelations and insight learned

I am amazed that I am even talking about a dog that I never wanted. Bane is our 12 year old blue nose Pitbull. Becoming a part of our family was a faith project that was started by our children. When I saw another dog like Bane and marveled at his posture. This was all that was needed for our children to gap onto their faith project and begin the work to receive Bane. Here we are 12 years later… and I remember the faith lesson that I was taught by our family dog. Listen in to see what faith projects you have had and how the consistency of your faith produces a promise that we sometimes forget in the midst of living with the faith we prayed for.

We have all heard the scripture... Obedience is better than sacrifice.
1 Samuel 15:22
It is true. Our obedience to God causes us to experience the best that He has to provide us. What happens that causes us not to obey what God wants? We don't follow his instructions and believe that we should get the next steps from God to have the life that we desire. We have to be obedient. God speaks to us through our reading his word, listening to messages, and praying to God. If you are a believer and want the blessings that God teaches us are available, you need to be obedient and eat the good of the land.
Take a listen and let me know how your obedience has blessed your life.

In the midst of all the noise, I wanted to take some time out to celebrate life.
We have so many things going on in this world that it is important for us to take the time to remember what is important and relevant in our lives. My dad would have been 82 this year. One of my dear friends lost her son in a car accident. Time continues to move along, and this life is really a vapor. We need to take the time to remember what is important...including who is important. I want to be found doing what God has for me to do when it is my time to go to Heaven... what about you? Take a listen and give a reminder to someone. Make the most of the time that you have. Be present, stay grateful, take the picture, and move in kindness.
Rest well Daddy.

Hi there! I'm back and sharing another episode about the resilience that continues to be created in my life. I recently had another surgery. I had the hardware removed from my leg—that's right, the same leg where my tibia was broken and healed. In the midst of another surgery, I had to come to terms with my faith and the power of the wisdom I have to believe that God trusts me with this experience. God trusts that I can handle it. This is the 13th surgery that I have had in the past 7 years...if I didn't believe in God, my faith in myself would not allow me to overcome the struggle of this situation. Listen in to hear my take, my journey, and the faith that gets built when situations are out of your control, but your faith is in reach.

A small correction to my granddaughters turned into an anthem for our lives.
We have to decide to use our power for good. We are all created for a purpose. That purpose is to be an example for others and live authentically. I am teaching those around me that compromising is not an option. Take a listen and decide what we can do to remain true to who we are created to be and how we can be the light in the midst of confusion.
Ask Sophie or Maliah—they will be happy to remind you to Use Your Powers for Good.
Thanks for listening!

This is a special podcast. My heart's cry is to share information that will help others to be all that they choose to become in this world. Did you know that you are a tri-part being? You are a spirit, have a soul, and live in a body. You were created for greatness and made in the image of God. This is a long podcast today...hope it brings you some knowledge and empowers you to rise above what you think or feel and dive into searching out what God says about it.
Thanks for listening! Until next time...

When someone dies, it affects all of us who know the person. Sometimes we are affected even if we do not know the person. I grew up with The Cosby Show as a staple in our Thursday night routine. I was touched and moved by the death of actor Malcolm Jamal Warner. I did not know Malcolm, nor did he know me. I was touched because of the admiration and talent that he had that made me believe that he could be a friend, cousin, or relative. This death was sad. Sad because of the potential of all that was left for him to do. In this episode, I take a look at the effect that death has on us and the realization of the time we think that we have to live out our purpose. I enjoyed Malcolm's acting, his interviews about his family, and his love of life. His legacy will be as a family friend. What mark are you making in this life that cannot be erased? Thanks, Malcolm, for the reminder...

I love words! I love phrases! Many times we don't know the origin of what we are saying. I have heard many phrases that people attribute to the Bible that were never found there. It is amazing how we can take a phrase or myth and share it as if it were truth. In this episode, we talk about the power of our words and what we are saying. The goal is to remember the power that you have in what you speak about relating to your story! Did you read that...? You have the power to talk about your story. You are the sum total of what you believe and the absolute result of what you say. Take a listen and share what phrases you may have heard that created an idea that led to a belief about something or someone that affected you.

HI, I'm back! I missed you!
I believe that our resilience is an ongoing asset, a growing and shaping that becomes the resolve to help you go from situation to situation. I can't say it loud enough. OUR STORY MATTERS! Your story matters!!! We need to take a look at the details of our story. Take a look at what our answer is when we talk about purpose and look at what we are called to do with this life. My goal is to hear God's voice louder than I hear anything going on in my body. I don't want my body talking to me. I want to hear my instructions for what I am to do next in this life, for this time and in this world. Take a listen to the details that I believe make a difference. I would love to hear what you think. Let me hear from you.... Terrilyn@terrilynminnifield.com

I have more friends that I have ever had in my life. I believe that I have learned how to become a friend and that is what is making my friendships full of love and respect. Recently, I supported my friends as they found the courage to make changes in their life. These changes are life changes that affect their sphere of influence. I have learned that my resilience or wisdom has taught me to never judge others and know that my intent to understand - is just that intent. The best thing I can do is respect their position. In this week’s episode, let’s talk about it. I would love to hear your thoughts… reach out to me at Terrilyn@TerrilynMinnifield.com

I am excited to share my failure with you! This may sound funny - but I am falling in love with the opportunity to fail so that I can achieve success! This episode is about the process I learned as I continue to work on my YouTube channel. The process has taken me out a few times. I have NO idea what I am doing and I don’t know the particulars that will make it a consistent part of my platform. This episode is a reminder of how I don’t have to fail with God. I have been intentional to include God in my process instead of relying on what I think, do and the experience that I thought that I had. Take a listen and let me know what you think. Welcome back to another episode talking about resilience. Today we are going to be talking about being on the Receiving Side. As a believer, we believe in a God that was so giving that He gave us His son so that we could have a life more abundant. We are able to receive all that Jesus did for us when He died and rose again to reconcile us to the original plan for our lives. We need to stay on the receiving side in the midst of the executive orders, presidential election and all the calamity that continues to circle us in these times. Listen in to get my understanding of our position of victory and the receiving side that continues with joy, peace, understanding and all the benefits of being a believer.

Merry Christmas!
I have to admit that the holiday season has been a little rough for me this year. My dad transitioned to Heaven 4 months ago, and my brother left 4 years ago. It is hard to put into words how I feel this season. I have learned that grief does not wait for you to get it together. Grief uses any opportunity available to remind you what you are missing at all family gatherings. I had a family event recently that allowed me to visit my nephew. He shared the best inspiration of all. He shared a letter—his dad, my brother had written to him before he was born. This letter was amazing. There was no mystery with what my brother thought, felt, or believed for his son. I was inspired to keep journals for my kids. Listen in to the details, and I hope they make a difference for you.

What does Victory look like to you? As believers, we believe that Jesus died for us to have life more abundantly. Are you living an abundant life? I have been researching and looking at how I approach the goals in my life and I found that my emotions will tell the story of what I believe. I think we should examine what we are doing for ourselves, for those we love and for those that we influence. Let's be the example of knowing what victory means to us.

Well, the election is over. The time to talk about hope is now. Either you are excited about your candidate winning or you are in anguish over the results. We all have to begin again. Are you insecure? Have you been told that you are insecure and that you don't have what it takes to get things done? I have been working hard to overcome the idea of being insecure as I work on the "next level". I mentioned in the last episode that it was time to reach a new level in the podcast and all that I will be doing for God. As I researched and began to work on next steps, I have been having a hard time with videotaping and my image. I did some work on my past and found many instances where my confidence was compromised by unwanted attention to my speech, my looks, and my intelligence. I have not been comfortable with that attention. It has been a great discovery and I will continue to work on those things that are hindrances to my next level.
Do you have any details that you are discovering about yourself that hinder your next steps in your career? your relationships? your lifestyle? Give a listen and take some notes.

Boundaries are necessary. Setting up personal boundaries in all areas of your life is essential. This includes physical, emotional, and mental boundaries that help you stay balanced in your well-being. In this episode, I share many challenges that I have been thrust into and how I am using time and space to create boundaries. The best suggestion that I can give you is to create the time and space needed to do what you need to do. Boundaries are not negative - but necessary to change your perspective on your emotions that control how you think and feel. Often we forget that the sphere of our influence will affect those that we love. How we deal with situations and the story that we create makes a difference. Listen in and share with me some of your thoughts.

Josiah and I took on the topic of when your dreams are falling into place. Many times, we do not acknowledge the moments that make us realize our success. We need to remember who we are and that we were created for a purpose. In this short conversation, we talk about Josiah's recent success in accomplishing his goals and how it lines up with his purpose. It is important to have direction in all that you do. We believe in having a relationship with the one who created you. Walk out the details of your identity and continue to keep your focus on all the blessings you have. Take a listen and see if you can add talking points that will give direction to those that listen.

Welcome back to another episode where we tap into your relationship with God and how God wants to use you. Tatiana, my daughter, is here with me. She is 24 years old and loves to study the Word of God. We talk about the strategy to continue connecting with God and how it is important to stay focused on what God has told you while thinking, feeling, or acting on what you should do. We must keep a simple plan in mind to grow our relationship with our creator.
Spend Time with God
Practice the Presence of God
Read the Bible - whatever version that helps you understand
Learn to trust what God has said and build your confidence in who God is
It isn't easy to rely on God's promises, is it? I would love to hear from you. Thanks for listening. If you enjoyed this podcast, the best compliment is a referral.

This week is a special treat for me. My children, Josiah and Tatiana were able to share their heart and insight of how to overcome disconnecting with God. The best part of listening to this episode is that I get the gift of hearing all that they believe and what they have been taught. My children teach me. Listen in with a parent’s heart and as a believer that is looking for practical tips to stay connected to God. This is Gen Z. As we hear the worlds’ influence on our generations - know that this is a reminder that they are good ground and they “get it”. They answered 3 questions:
What do you do when you feel like you are out of sync with God?
Why is our response to disappointment or dissatisfaction typically doubt?
How do you stay encouraged when you are waiting on God?
Keep Believing and Listening.. Your Story Matters
Until next time,
This is a personal episode. I have been dealing with a lot of challenges with those that I love. Those that are in different seasons of life that do not have the control that they once had over illness, disease or the medical reports. As a child, I had situations that allowed me to make a healthy decision to become the support for those that were dealing with situations that they could not control. This decision became one of the most important decisions of my life. I made a decision to support my mom as my mom. The diagnosis given by a doctor explain the symptoms of the illness; not the character of the caretaker. Listen in to hear my thoughts and form your own opinions that create the reality that will make all the difference for you.

We made it!!! 100 Episodes! Our episode today is about Being Faithful in the Little. My faith teaches me that when I am faithful in the little, God will make me ruler over much. We all have goals. Goals are the big thing, as I am faithful in the little things or steps to get to the big things. We have to develop discipline to take care of what we need to do to qualify for more. Discipline opens the door for obedience. Obedience unlocks the blessings that are available for you. We make decisions everyday to go to or away from our goals. People get so caught up in the speed of life that they don't take the time to evaluate their own steps to faithfulness. Listen in with a heart to hear and a desire to have more.

Some of the best conversations start with the wisdom that is shared from experience. I love my encounters with Reggie Hawes! Reggie is a intellect who has heard the voice of God for all of his life. At 29, he made a commitment to Jesus and his life became a series of conversations that give an overview to the wisdom available for those that he speaks with. We have known the Hawes Family for over 25 years. They are friends that have become family. In this episode, Reggie details his life experiences that make him who he is today. Reggie continues to guide those that will listen. The insight shared allows one to become more objective and realize the decisions draw them closer or away from their purpose. Listen in and laugh with us as he talks about the details that make a difference.

It isn't often when you meet someone that inspires you to do more than you already do. Channing is that person for me. Channing is a 23 year old, professional soccer player that talks about his life, his plan and his victories - one after another. I met Channing at a Black History Month Expo in Phoenix and we connected on his story and on the passion of his book, The 1% Kid. A native of Cleveland, Channing relocated to Arizona at 11 years old. His determination and perseverance resulted in his dream to attend Ohio State University and play college soccer. Channing overcame injuries and setbacks to become a player with the Phoenix Rising Soccer Club. Channing philosophy is 1% better everyday.
Channing lives by Practice, Perserverance and Patience. His parents encouragement and example have set the foundation for Channing to remain focused on his goals. He has taken his love of soccer and encouragement to teach young kids to believe in themselves and their dreams. His goals include to build a foundation for club soccer and scholarships for those kids who play well and need an opportunity to show they are 1% better. Listen in to his episode. There are take aways for everyone in every area. We celebrate Channing and will work to become 1% better!

I had so many words to describe Shaun Mayo - infamous, intelligent, focused, and a hard worker—but the label that carried our conversation was Dedicated. Shaun is dedicated to his commitment to himself and his family. Shaun is the first Chief People Officer for the Arizona Cardinals football team. Our conversation is an overview of Shaun's climb to his current position and all the resilience he developed as he depended on his faith and the drive to look beyond where he was in any career move he made. Shaun is a strategist who has the heart of an entrepreneur. His current position is just the beginning, and his drive to create leaders is inspiring. In this conversation, we talk about perspective, leadership, and the decision to succeed. The power of your perspective can lead you to the success you work for! Many people think that Human Resources is such a "scary" place. Shaun finds it a place to include those who have identified their passion and are striving to develop their purpose. This was a fun conversation! Thanks, Shaun. I'm grateful to have you in the studio... and let's not forget, GO CARDS!

This episode was personal. I answered a question that I often receive from those who are watching, wondering, or trying to understand what being a pastor means. I would love for you to take a listen and learn my perspective. The pastor position is one of the hardest and most fulfilling positions I have held. I have continued to change—I mean, grow in my relationship with God and share with others so that they can capture a deeper spiritual relationship. All of my perceptions don't have to become yours. I believe there is insight available as you listen and understand that I am one person who serves God with her whole heart. I am not perfect, but I am a reflection of my private life in a public forum. Listen in and let me know what you think. Keep the questions coming.
I believe that we are better together, and the story I share will add to the story you are creating. Until next time.

I love conversations that become more about where you are than what you talk about. My time spent with Dani Dysinger was just that—more. Dani shared the details of her work experience in retail, her heart for leading others, and her recent work exploring the depths of who she is. Dani began working at 15 years old, and after a few roles in a leadership position, she fell in love with all aspects of retail, from the big box to the luxury boutique. Dani has gained so many tools that allow her to establish a successful career in retail and a leader in her industry. Dani loves the influence and inspiration that she has developed while representing many well-known brands for thousands of people who follow her Instagram. Dani has now evolved beyond the merchandising to advocate for others who seek to establish value in their routine and reach for goals outside of the daily dynamics. Dani's brand will be one that relates to others who are in search of more and will guide them to the goals they haven't spent time nurturing. Listen in and reframe what you think about merchandising and material possessions. Dani is a single mom who is using her creativity to create the world that she is called to have. We are here to cheer you on, Dani! Shout out to your resilience and the lessons learned from your story.

Happy 1st Anniversary to Josiah & Amy!
This heartfelt discussion was a small conversation after the big life-changing decisions that were made to get married. Listeners are familiar with Josiah and Amy and their previous appearances on the podcast. Josiah debuted in March 2022 in Episode 17, A Minni Tale, and Amy's episode was in Episode 52, The Promise is My Plan. I was honored to have them together in the same episode.
This episode is an example of the miracle that took place in their hearts as they joined in marriage. A lot of prayer, talk, marriage counseling, and decision-making have gone into the steps that have created a beautiful life together. Their story is a reminder of the second and third changes we get to make success out of the messes we create and the assurance that everything will work out for our good. Give a listen and celebrate with this wonderful couple that has kept their faith at the center of their relationship. The exchange that they made for their emotions and wants has been replaced with a purpose and a plan to find the good right where they are. It matters what you believe. I am grateful that these two believe in the plan that has made their lives an example of winning.

The Four Laws of Love by Jimmy Evans
I had an amazing time chatting with our family friend, Monique Hardy. I have known Monique since she was a youngster. It is amazing how the skills, gifts, and talents that we possess will develop as we grow. Monique is quite the woman. She is a mother and wife, and she has always been an artist. Our conversation details her journey to express her heart. Monique has always expressed her love for God; now she has a business that expresses the Word of God. After studying Dr. Masaru Emoto's water study, Monique understood the power of words and the effect that words can have as we wear them, attach our thinking to them, and advertise them. It was an amazing revelation to let the Word of God speak the faith, desire, and will of God for our lives.
Monique has done just that with the creation of her design company, Victory Us LLC. We talk about the development of her purpose, the goals of her company, and the attention to detail that makes all things possible. Listen in as you discover how Monique continues to develop her purpose, one shirt at a time

I enjoyed spending some quality time with two fantastic ladies who are living their best life as they look to transition from single to being in a relationship. Often we look to be coupled with someone who meets all of our wants. These ladies are looking to be coupled with the man that meets their needs. Having a relationship with Jesus is the relationship that they are building on as they prepare to be the wife of a man of intergrity, faith and kindness. Samantha represents the women who are in their 30s Era. Sam is full of the expectations of love and excited about the relationship that will compliment the goals in her heart.
Wendy represents the women who are in their 50s Era. Wendy is full of life experience with the promise of knowing what she wants and building on the wisdom that she has gathered in the affairs of her heart. Although each perspective is different, there are so many commonalities that these ladies share. Give a listen to relate. Give a listen to find inspiration and hope of the possibilities of sharing your life with someone that was created specifically for you. Give a listen and locate what Era you are in and the true meaning of the connection that is beyond words.

I have the awesome opportunity to sit down and talk with Vanessa Kelly, the founder of Function Pilates. I met Vanessa over 5 years ago when I attended a class purchased on Groupon. I fell in love with Pilates and fell in love with all aspects of her studio. Vanessa has customized every aspect of her Pilates empire and developed a well-rounded approach to wellness and health. Our conversation is not just about Pilates; it is about the hard worker that Vanessa has always been and the relentless focus she has to recreate and design her workspace as a place of growth. Vanessa is a single mom of two little girls.
Her daughters are watching their mom develop as a leader and businesswoman every day. In the episode, we talk about her passion for doing business her way and the wisdom to apply what she continues to learn as her business model grows. In the past five years, Vanessa has developed Certified Teacher Training, a successful YouTube channel, and expanded her studios in Arizona. We all love a winning story. Vanessa gives us one to cheer for!
Listen in to insights that can help you develop your next step. See you at the next class!

Focused, smart, funny, and wise are just a few words to describe Tatiana and Alex. Our girls have been friends since high school. In this episode, they share insight into their high school career and the lessons they learned to stay smart girls. Both girls had the privilege to attend private Christian education, which developed their character and faith. The decision to develop "who they are" was part of their journey. Both girls admit and admire the foundation that they were given in school and believe that it made all the difference to have home values that resemble those that they were taught in school. Now college and graduate students, the girls continue to move through this life with thoughtfulness and a friendship that they both can depend on. This was a fun episode to circle back to the perspective that we parents hope is being instilled in the leaders of tomorrow—our girls! Have a listen and share this episode with those who need the encouragement that being smart is always a good thing!

Happy New Year!
2024 is here, and I couldn't think of anyone more qualified to start our year off than another conversation with Connie Waters. Connie shared her knowledge and wisdom about nutrition, the Word of God, and the power of living our best lives. We were introduced to Connie in Episode 81: Healing from the Inside Out. We continue the conversation about our health and how our beliefs align us with the nutrition, healing, and wisdom given to us. Start the new year with a better perspective on how to use food, and change our perspective to connect with our measure of faith in nutrition and health so that we move toward better decisions to increase our level of health. We discussed the Daniel Fast—the time spent away from food and concentrating on time with God. This time of dedication separated us and renewed our perspective on our relationship with God. The details are so old that they are new details that we should consider. Connie will be coming back. We would love to keep the discussion going. Send me your questions; let's get some answers!

As we close out 2023, it is time for me to take a look at what I am doing and what I want to do differently next year. I looked at my time spent using social media. Social media is an amazing medium that allows us to connect innovation and technology in a social environment. There are aspects of social media that allow us to connect and dream bigger dreams, and there are aspects that connect us to false representations and narratives. In this episode, I talk about what I will be doing next year to evaluate my use of social media and the things that I love. Our perspective is our reality. Share this episode with someone who should evaluate what they are doing. We only have one life; let's live it with purpose.

I am happy to spend studio time with Pastor Phreddie & George Khalil to talk about the faith that it takes. We have launched an initiative to activate John 14:12 in our church, Word Life Church, and invite others to express their faith and share with others. We are going out to grocery stores and asking people if we can pray for them. Our "Go Team" is a group of believers who are taking our faith to the streets. The simple question" to pray for a person's hurts, ailments, or challenges" ignites the conversation to share our faith and the faith available to them to grow in love and trust in the things of God. They are available to experience the real-time effects of prayer. Jesus loves you.
I have participated in the outings, and it was amazing that my faith increased as I believed with others. It was an amazing experience to gain faith in the midst of sharing with others the possibilities available to them. Every believer can care about others and invest time and prayer to help others. Healing is for today. Faith is available today. Take a listen to hear the excitement and power of our testimonies. Take notes and bring this approach to those around you. Feel free to reach out to us so that we can help you start a "Go Team" or share your experience to let us know we are not alone.

I loved my conversation with Connie Waters - an advocate and catalyst for health and healing. Connie is a dynamic woman who has been in service to others for more than 40 years. This conversation is brilliant! Connie had a lot of medical conditions and has journeyed through this life with many illnesses and diagnoses. The truth is that she can love herself the way that God intended. She has learned to love herself and teach others how to gain and live out their love with the quality of their health. Connie said so many things! You may have to listen again to hear the details that matter to you. Faith is the common denominator that allowed her to apply the Word of God to her health and love the ability of the body to heal itself as we become accountable for how we live. We have been given everything we need to live a healthy life. Drink water, eat foods as God made them to get the best value, rest, and eliminate foods....these key principles are life-sustaining. This episode is critical for understanding. Please share this episode. You can add days to someone's life.

I had a great conversation with my friend Linda Khalil. Linda is a homeschool mom by choice and is committed to God and his instruction to take on teaching her children from home. Linda studied for many years to become a nurse and loved her career. After balancing work and caring for her children, Linda felt the calling to come home and teach her children at home. Homeschooling is the constant development of relationships and studying curriculum while living life with your children. This conversation is a priority as you examine the idea of homeschooling and the opportunity to intentionally influence a change in the traditional model of education. Linda expresses her reasons for homeschooling and understands that we are teaching our children in everything we do. Listen in to remind yourself of your intentions with your family. Homeschooling is an opportunity to give your children a well-rounded education that includes your faith and their spiritual development. This episode may be for someone you know or for those who are struggling with what they feel they should do. Homeschooling is as amazing as you believe it could be.

I am currently on the grind. With the grind of work, family, church, school, and work again I have many jobs, titles, and goals. Most of all, I have dreams and goals that keep me motivated to continue. We have to stay motivated to continue in order to achieve success in those things that fulfill our purpose. In this episode, I talk about what happens when you are not able to compromise what you do and settle for the ordinary. You decide what defines you, what drives you and what grows you. Keep choosing to stay motivated. We become an example for others as they look to find their way to their purpose.

I had the amazing opportunity to meet with Doreah (Dor-ray-uh) Dean. Doreah is a delightful, energetic brand strategist who continues to empower clients and friends to define their dreams and identify their purpose in all that they do. We had a dynamic conversation about faith, purpose, and hearing God. Doreah is thoughtful, meticulous, and full of analytical skills that have inspired me to reach beyond what I have and connect with what is available to me. Often, we meet people whose depth is far beyond our experience. Doreah is that person. She has navigated "Hollywood" and stepped out to do "Kingdom" business. Doreah is an excellent example of a person who continues to thrive by listening to what God would have her do and following His path. God empowers her to have the BEST strategic plan just for her. We talked about so much! Give this episode a listen. Take some time to define your brand and understand that you just need to identify where you are so that you can talk about where you want to go.

Sometimes we feel disconnected. Our disconnection can be a result of frustration, exhaustion, and discontentment. We need to learn the lesson that we are taught when receiving airline instructions from the flight attendants. We need to put the oxygen mask on ourselves before we can put it on others. We need to take care of ourselves. We need to keep our focus to stay attached to our dreams. We can never stop believing. This episode is one that you can share with others. A great reminder of the simple process that keeps us connected to our energy and plans that make a difference in our lives. Make it normal to stay connected to your dreams and visions.

We have to remember that FIRST WORDS MATTER. In most situations, if not all. What we begin saying about a situation is what we believe. There have been many situations that I have dealt with that were serious. I have dealt with doctor's reports on my health, issues in my relationships, and circumstances in my workplace. In all these situations, I came to learn that what I said about the situation became what I believed. In this episode, I cover reminders that give you a guide to take the time that you need to review situations and get your perspective and position time to develop what you want to happen.

We've all been there. We have been lenders to friends or family that were in need of money. In this episode, we talk about key guidelines that help you understand what you are doing, when you will be paid back, and why the money that you lend should be money that you may never see again. Money is often the foundation of hurt, misunderstandings, and foolishness in many relationships. We can build trust in relationships when dealing with money, because we know that the relationship is more important than the money. We have to learn how to forgive others who do not repay loans or take advantage of the money given to them. Forgiveness is always more important for us than it is for others. We have to forgive ourselves first. Never let unforgiveness live in your heart. Our lives are so full of light that we cannot allow this darkness in.

Today we will talk about disappointment. Disappointment is real. We can be disappointed in people, places, and things. We can not allow disappointment to find its place in our hearts and distract us from the vision that God has given us. As Christians, we believe that God created us in His image and has a plan and purpose for our lives. We talk about the story of Elijah and how he was in God's perfect will but encountered disappointment as he followed God's instructions. Are you disappointed with how things turned out in an area of your life? You are not alone. Listen in and find three key things to remember so that disappointment doesn't create bitterness but does create resilience.

Great conversation with my educated friend, Tricia Beck. Tricia is a teacher with more than 30 years of experience. She is a natural teacher who brings so much good energy to the conversation about learning. Her passion for helping others developed from her conversations with her mentor, Paul. Paul asked about her future and ignited a desire for Tricia to accomplish all that was in her heart. Tricia has written novels that speak to the process of mentoring and coaching. All of our relationships develop our character. What are you working on? Tricia talked about her desire to empower women and the connection that will grow you on the path to a grateful and blessed life. This is a great book, a foundation for helping you identify where you are, and stories that give you support as you develop your story. Listen in. You can never be too educated to learn about yourself

I have had this topic on my mind for so many years. My husband and his amazing genes are all around me. All of my children look like him. I have dealt with this for so many years. In my frustration, I prayed to God to let me know why He allowed my kids to look like him. He answered me and told me they looked like both of us. Every internal organ looks just like me! So they are combination children. The outside looks like their Dad and I have their organs covered.
There is a bigger conversation that is available. What do you look like? Not just in appearances, but in values, kindness, and mannerisms? It is a great question. Who are you following? What do people see when they notice what you bring into the world? Take a look, take a listen—this is food for thought. Keep thinking!

Great conversation with Derrick & Kendra Bryd. Such an amazing couple! I love talking to them about their love story, the individual growth they had when they broke up - for 2 years, and the reconciliation that created the union that they have now. These LoveBryds have a counselor's heart with the purpose to coach couples. The thread in all that they do is Faith and the purpose of all they will create is founded in Love. Derrick's instruction to you... "Keep Hope and Trust God - even when things don't look like they are going well". Kendra's instruction..."Be Intentional in all you do and keep dreaming! You can hold out for your fairy tale". This was a fun conversation! Listen in with a heart full of love and hope that makes every situation wonderful!

Today we will be talking about Preparation - being ready, and planning for the good or the not-so-good. We are all prepared. Our character is developed by the time we are 5 years old. Parents spend the majority of their time reminding children of who they are. We are prepared with the "how" to do things; it is just the application of the "when" that makes the difference. Often we see preparation when we get to the results of the situations that we overcome. I shared many examples of preparation that I didn't even know that I was developing. Every story matters and the preparation of your heart is key to success. It never matters what you feel, it only matters what you believe. I believe you have what you need and your perspective of success makes all the difference.
Share your story with us. What have you gone through? Were you prepared? Did you know that you were?

I listened to Alicia Keys' song "Underdog '' recently and I thought about all of those that are identified as an underdog and how fortunate they are. The underdog is the person that is not counted in the fight to win' yet they are winning all the time. There are people who are working and doing the work that fulfilled their purpose, their heart. How awesome to be working in the position or with the environment that you would like to work in and make a difference.
I will always vote and cheer for the underdog - they are not under anything. They are on top of their purpose and most of the time following their dreams. A dream that is in their heart - that they will chase until they achieve it.
The biggest gift you can give someone else is to be seen. We see you underdogs and we believe what we see.

We love our children. We should love them enough for them to have a relationship with the God that created them. Our children learn how to live based on how they witness our lives. It was important to our family to teach the children that their first relationship should be with God. God will never leave them and when the time comes that they need help beyond your hands - they will be able to rely on God. Listen in to my beliefs, my thoughts and my understanding.

Two Words. Two different expressions of our emotions. Anticipation is the action of expecting something. Procrastination is the act of delaying something that must be done. I examine situations in which I have felt both of these emotions. I work to remain in the "moment" after my Anticipation meets reality. I also keep my focus to get through the hard work being done when I am dealing with Procrastination. We have all experienced these emotions one time or another. Let this episode remind you of your posture in the midst of these two emotions. Thanks for listening.

I thought that it was only fair to talk about living in the moment. I have talked about celebrating life and burnout. In all the subjects that I have talked about, I have never talked about being in the moment to experience moments that become core memories. We can go through the motions in our life and many times we do. We navigate marriage, work and family as tasks to be done and not relationships that can make the difference. I will not bring my past into my present and try to plan my future. I will continue to work on living in the moment and being present in everything I do. I give a few points as to how I strive to live in the moment. What do you do to stay present?

I recently had an experience with Burnout. I needed to step away from my student life and gain a new focus and a new perspective. The break was necessary to renew my mind and refresh my energy to establish a new plan to continue. Burnout is physical, emotional, mental and spiritual exhaustion. Doing too much for too long. We should be doing what we love and experience a life full of joy. Have a listen to see how my break created the joy I needed.

I was happy to have my friend Amina Hochberg come into the studio to talk about the details that make a difference. One of Amina's goals for her 4 boys is to have homes for them that allow them to start at a higher level of stability and wealth. Amina shares her focus on analyzing, evaluating, and assessing situations around her with a "scientific" mind. Amina is passionate about our peace and serenity which is the foundation of our perspective. We don't need to get caught up in the HYPE around us. Amina learns lessons from history and relates to the simplicity of being a life-long learner.
Amina likes science and the evidence that allows her to reinforce the truth that she knows. Amina's husband, Tim, always tells her "Control what you can control" - this truth is the truth. Listen in to see how Amina's perspective is rich in theory and builds on a foundation of love. This is the truth that we can all resonate with. We do better when we know better.

Fun conversation with friends that have become family; Wes & Rachel Eisele.
Wes & Rachel talk about when they met, their faith and the development of their relationship. Wes & Rachel will celebrate their 5-year wedding anniversary this year. Our conversation highlights some key personal decisions that led them to develop an amazing friendship that has blossomed to an inspiring relationship. They are young, they are wise, and their story is possible for all those that are looking for a relationship that is centered on more than the "idea" of the perfect person.
It is important to live your values. In this crazy world full of options - how awesome is it to find the person that allows you to be you. How you begin your relationship; will show you how you grow your relationship. You should date for the purpose of marriage. Rachel & Wes were not expecting to marry one another - but they were willing to establish their values in their relationship and grow from there. I appreciate their example and salute the love that they share. Love My Eiseles

In today's culture we are encouraged to get a "mentor". A mentor is someone that can share the details that allow you to excel in something you want to do. It isn't necessary to have a mentor, but it can be beneficial. A mentor should develop a relationship with you that supports where you are and where you want to be. I encourage you to be a mentor and learn as a mentee. We should always want someone to grow beyond us. What do you think?
This show is about you - the listener and how you perceive the experiences you have. I am excited for you to get involved and share your story. I am excited to hear your visions, and your resilience stories... write to me and allow me to share your victories!

Sometimes it is necessary to go back to know how much you have gone forward.
Today was the day for my conversation with Anthony Huff. Anthony appeared on this podcast in Episode 13; just about 1 year ago (April 2022). His episode was titled "Forgiving Yourself". Anthony stopped by the studio to talk about his results after appearing on the podcast and the growth he continues to experience with the work that he has done on himself. His experience was therapeutic and helpful.
I am so proud of the intensity with which Anthony has gone after his purpose and how he relates to his understanding of Who he is and Whose he is. Anthony lost his brother Branden this past year and the gratitude continues. Anthony continues to make the mark of his legacy tangible to those that love him. Anthony shares so many details that touched my heart and will touch your soul. Some takeaways: "Logic will still lie to you"; " What does your inner voice say to you"; and " be there for people we love". Love you, Anthony ~ looking forward to what is next :)

Have you ever been disappointed?
Lately, I have been dealing with several situations that are disappointing. My work, my friend, and my status lead me to feel and think that I am disappointed. I understand that I control my perspective and if I don't change how I see things - it can lead to depression or anxiety. We can become objective about what is going on and see the end rather than living in the results that are possible. How do you manage the influence of others on you?

My weekend away took us to our friends in Prescott, AZ; Chad & Gina Nanke. We have known the Nankes for over 2 years and are excited about their assignment. The Nankes are the Senior Pastors at Chino Valley Family Church. Married for 35 years, Chad & Gina talk about how they served in the church for 14 years and never thought of leading the congregation as pastors. Our episode explores the details of legalism, seeking experiences, and living your life by emotions. You don't have to be disappointed that the details of your life don't compare to someone else's testimony or the Bible stories that we are taught. Although this story is about their pastor position, you can use the details of their story to help you in the position that you should step out and do. You can Have, You can Do and You can Be. Our stories are details that we can learn from and others can know that there is much more available for them.

Harnessing Your Emotions - Andrew Wommack
This week we are talking about revival. Recently, the revival began in a chapel on the college campus of Asbury University in Kentucky. College students had a church service that has not ended. Church revival is when there is renewed attention to God and spirituality. Gen Z has led the charge! This generation is making a difference and leading believers to seek after the presence of God. We can follow the lead of Generation Z and find our purpose. Here are a few instructions:
The World will remain distracting. Your purpose is available. Let revival begin in you!

In the United States, February 14th is our celebration of Love. Valentine's Day is a holiday that many people choose to show their love for others with candy, flowers, and gifts. Valentine's has become so commercialized that people start losing the value of the love around them. Love is an amazing cure for anything that you are dealing with. Social media has created holidays that many people have adapted to celebrating. Does it really take all of that to celebrate love? There is power in the love that is available around us. Love is available... It is up to us to walk in the level of love that we want to receive in this world.

Grief is a voluntary or involuntary response to loss. I believe that I will always grieve the loss of my brother Gregory. I shared this episode because it was time to connect my grief to hope. I honor my brother and our relationship because the lessons that he taught have become the laws that I live by. I loved and respected my brother. I miss him and his absence is often a burden to life as I know it. You may have people in your life that you need to reconnect with. You may need to forgive someone in your life. Forgive them.
Tomorrow is not promised. I never took him for granted and I am so grateful that the memories that I shared with him comforted me beyond my expectation. Grief is real and it isn't something to skip over. Stay grateful and remember; Love is Forever.

Happy 2023!
I sat down and talked with My "Red". Red is Amy Hunter.
Amy joined our family over 5 years ago when she and Josiah fell in love. This is our first public conversation about her family and her relationship with God, Josiah, and our family. This conversation was fun, insightful, and simple. God has a promise for our lives. Amy details her family history and how her plan was designed by her feelings, but leaning into God's plan has bought her to create a family with two kids and a husband. I am grateful for her details and the opportunity to understand that family isn't designed by what we go through but created by how we love. My prayer for all my children is for them to find a partner that will love, support, and grow with them as they grow with God. Red is that person for Josiah and we are blessed to have her as a part of our family. The truth will always be - your perspective is your reality. Listen with an open heart to know that we all come from a different story, but the story can have a happy ending.

Grateful for my littles... Josiah and Tatiana!
I am battling symptoms with a sore throat and lost voice. Josiah and Tatiana took over the podcast this week and shared their heart, their "location"- where they are in their life and their hopes and plan for 2023. It is important to connect with those that you love and do more listening than talking.
You don't have to be a pastor or teacher to minister life. The details of hope, peace and community can be found in the conversation. As you listen, I hope that you are able to add the details of where you are to your conversation to know where you are going. This is a proud mom moment. The best gift you can give your children is the power of connecting them to God.

I had another opportunity to share the episode with My Tatiana. We talked about Faith and our relationship with God. We want you to take a lesson with the simple steps to build your faith.
Meditate on What you want
Scripture - Read the Word of God as your guide to where you are going
Community - Who you have surrounded with influences the faith you have
When we know better, we do better. The struggle is not struggle when you see it differently. You can growth in the middle of the struggle. Be encouraged. Be consistent and Become Faithful in the midst of anything and everything that comes your way.

Tatiana and I had a great conversation about Building New Hope.
We are all busy with the holidays. We wanted to prepare you for the New Year and build your hope. We can't change our past or concentrate on our present...but we can prepare for our future.
Tatiana shared her perspective as a "college-age" person and I shared my perspective as a "woman of a particular age". Tatiana shared her formula for how to approach the new year.
Figure out your Why - why are you doing what you are doing?
Evaluate wants and needs - establish what you need and qualify your wants
Pick a Word for how you want to feel at the end of the year
Now is the time to think about the new year, before the marketing, before the propaganda, and before you follow others.

It is the season of GIVING! We all have favorite times of the year. For me, it is the holidays. Many people enjoy the times of being together and giving to one another. But you would be surprised to hear that gratitude is the gift that keeps giving. We already know that the quality of our life is not measured by the number of material things that we own. It is measured by the quality of the gifts you use. We have God-given gifts that we should share with others. Do you love to cook? Are you good at taking pictures? What about cleaning or writing? Where did these gifts come from? and how are you supposed to use them? This week we talk about all this that makes us grateful and how to be the gift that keeps on giving. What are you grateful for? Are you a giver?

Dean is currently a professor at Grand Canyon University and leads his students and all those in his sphere of influence to a higher level of relationship with God. Dean details his life, his transformation, and his desire to learn more. It isn't often that we have a chance to witness the acceptance and love of others... We are inundated with social media and all of the suggestions of what we need, what we are supposed to look like, and what we should be doing. The obsession with our dollar and the competition for our attention has led us to become confused about the difference between what our expectations should be and the reality that we live in. We should have expectations that are full of hope, belief, and imagination that are based on hard work. The reality that we should consider is the truth and facts of what we live day to day. No one way conversation of positivity. We need to grow as an individual and inspire our sphere of influence. Take a listen and let me know what you think.

Take Control of Your Life
Win: To be victorious.
We all know that there are more lessons in failure than in success; but do we all believe that there is a FEAR that can materialize as you accomplish your goals? This Fear is actually - False Expectations Appearing Real. We have to become discipline minded and celebrate the accomplishment of our goals. If you do what you like, you will never work a day in your life. No one determines how hard your work for what you want. You determine your obedience and your belief in what you accomplish. In this episode, I talk about my FEAR once my goals are met. I am making room to expand my capacity, not to allow my heart to harden, and to have perspective - not judgment. What about you?

There is something that we all have in common - Change. Change can be exciting, expected, and welcome. Other times Change can be something that we are not expected to do and have to adjust to. Whatever the situation, Change is something that we all have to deal with. I compare the change to the Seasons. We can count on Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter. The seasons are consistent - they change. We need to embrace where we are and look forward to where we are going. It is all up to you.

We live in a performance-based society. We rely on the approval or praise of others in our work, family, education, or marriage. We need to exchange our performance for the value that we determine with all of the things that we do. We need to do all we do to find our inner peace.

This conversation changed my perspective on overcoming. Donald Harris is an entrepreneur and leader. One would never suspect that he has experienced the trauma that almost cost him his life. As an Arizona native, DJ is a natural with helping others and encouraging many to improve their life. His love of music has given him a passion for excelling as a DJ. His motivation to help others has encouraged him to start his own business. DJ handles the business side of the DJ contracts while reminding his team to practice and get better than yesterday.
DJ started journaling as a coping mechanism while healing from the near-fatal car accident that left him in a hospital bed for 18 months. He journaled with these 3 prompts in mind "What can I control?", ``What I can't control and What I can or can't do about what I can control". DJ's story is amazing and a foundation of why his demeanor is so calm and refined. He speaks from a place of beginning with the wisdom of yesterday. Take a listen, you will also be amazed.

Such a wonderful conversation with my friend, Barb Pruitt. Barb is the senior pastor at Faith Builders International Ministries in Phoenix, AZ. Born into a family that has served in the church for generations. Barb has always loved God but never hungered for her place in ministry. Barb is committed to doing whatever God would have her to do. This has always been her commitment and her plan is to follow God as he takes care of the church she leads.
Covid brought many changes for Barb and Faith Builders. She is walking in this new season of hope, faith, and promise. Barb shares her heart and all that goes with loving people. Barb is one of the kind-hearted people that I have met. She carries herself with a silent power that God uses in all of her interactions. We talked about dreams, goals, and everything! Great conversation with Ky Blair. Ky holds so many titles and so much insight into her next steps in life. Born a leader in Arizona, Ky has continued to mold her experiences to be wisdom. Her insight has led her to many transitions. Ky transitioned her major in college, transitioned in her career choice, and transitioned to wife and mother. All of these transitions were formed with a motivation to be educated and motivated to take the next step in their lives.
Ky runs 2 successful businesses - a bookkeeping business and a hair education tutorial business for foster and adoptive families with multi-ethic children who need hair care help. Ky is insightful, brave, faithful, and serves others. Ky is a single mother of 2 young children and is a thriving divorcee. This topic has been on my mind for a while. I strive for perfection. The true discussion is how my perfectionism is a characteristic of my personality and not a challenge for others. I have always been a genuine individual or an original. I do not conceal myself beneath layers of expectations, clothing, or titles in order to be what others desire. I am myself.
The point of living is to just be yourself. Not who you imagine other people would like you to be. This is a short conversation about an important problem that deserves more attention. If we are going to learn to live with the realities we cannot change, we need more real people, genuine conversations, and a real process. Take a listen and then let me hear your thoughts and your process.

We have known Sanjeev Javia for over 20 years. Sanjeev or Jeevers as we know him has been one of the most consistent and joyful people that I have known. His network is massive, and the most important part is how he shows up for those with whom he is connected. Jeevers is passionate about all aspects of life. His purpose is founded on science and developing products in the wellness industry. He continues to grow and develop products and expand his influence to educate those that wish to have a better quality of life.
This conversation is life-changing, should you want to change your life. Jeevers has had the good fortune to be successful in business because of his wisdom. "Failure isn't bad - the journey to failure is what sucks". He works every day to do his best work to relieve himself of stress. He is joyful and has the education to understand what stress does to your body. His success is to add "better health" in every area of your life if you choose to love yourself more than you love the energy toward other things.
This conversation was a blast! Jeevers is a great example of sharing what works well. Listen in and then listen again so that you can share with others. Be the medicine, care for yourself first and build on the passion that becomes your purpose.

Wisdom means you make the right decision according to what you believe...
I had the honor of talking with my friend, Joe Watson. Joe is a great example of faithfulness. He is walking wisdom. He continues to follow instructions that he received from God. Joe shared that the most uncertain times are the times when you make a decision based on what you "thought" you heard and believe you have to do it. Joe has always been a thrill-seeker driving anything that he could get his hands on! The thrills continue as he introduces people to concepts they never thought about as he works in ministry relations.
You should never discount the wisdom of those that live a life of faithfulness. Age is only a number but the experience is priceless. What we decide today affects our tomorrow. In this episode, we talk about our Backstory.
The backstory is the history or background of our story that creates the depth of who we are. Producers often give the backstory of the characters in a movie to develop the plot of the story. The details of our history and how we perceive the details make the difference in our lives.
We have an opportunity to respect the backstory of those around us. We will never know the details that people go through or how those details shape them into what we see.
We need to have a mindset that centers on our faith and belief in the possibilities that are available to us. What is your backstory? Send me a note, I would love to hear your thoughts.
Strength comes from supporting someone and their backstory. Let the conversation begin!
This show is about you - the listener and how you perceive the experiences you have. I am excited for you to get involved and share your story. I am excited to hear your visions, and your resilience stories... write to me and allow me to share your victories!

Jordan joined me for a fun conversation. Sometimes you learn things from those that are closest to you. Jordan continues to teach me every day.
Jordan is my firstborn and the connection to our blended family.. Jordan is known for his quest for knowledge and is the connector in our family. Jordan lives in the moment and reminds me to take the time to stay in the moment. This is a great lesson and I am so grateful for having the person that reminds me to be aware of the events/decisions that are influenced by me.
He is Master Mycelf. He is working to master his emotions and believes that knowledge is power. He is a student. He is a lifelong learner. Relationships are the pivotal dynamic of how he functions and what he values the most. Jordan is a believer and leads with appreciation - regardless of what happens. Jordan is a methodical person and values "processes" that keep him striving to be a better spiritual thought leader. Jordan believes that people are "right in their own mind". Jordan level sets with the most loving, accepting persona.
In a crisis. In a growing situation and in humor - Jordan is the perfect combination of me and my husband. The child who complements our strengths and our weaknesses. What better person to help you master yourself?

I brought my friend, Quita Jackson to the studio to talk about her lifestyle. I have known Quita for many years... this was our first sit down to talk about all the details about her life Off the Grid.
Quita and her family have transitioned her heart's desire for a healthy family into a plan for a healthy life. When Quita and her husband decided to have children - over 20 years ago - they also decided how they wanted their bodies to look and feel. They wanted to continue the healthy eating journey for their children. Now with children, 16 and 19; they have transformed their lives into a world of self-sufficiency.
Quita began with a garden and has now built containers that are efficiently run with rainwater and solar structures. The lifestyle has reduced the family's "footprint" while embracing nature's peace, freedom, and wonder. Listen to this detailed conversation about the life lessons and life directions that we all need to hear.
Resilience is wisdom applied. So grateful to Quita for the life lessons. Off to gather the supplies for my garden... stay tuned.

What happens when your family isn't the design that you had in your head? How do you make lemonade out of the lemons you have been given in your life? You keep moving.
Tiana (Tia) is hilarious. She has made me laugh for many years. Her humor is a skill that she uses to mask her emotions. Tia has dealt with many situations that are out of her control. Tia is a single mom of 5 children. The ages range from 15 to 3 years old. Tiana did not plan to become a single mother...most single moms don't plan. What is a part of the plan is for Tia and the children to continue to thrive.
Married at a young age and learning to find her voice, Tia had 3 children. Her love story ended. It was the beginning of her growth as an individual while empowering her children to be everything God created them to be. Tia relocated to Arizona and found love again with her second husband. Tia had 2 more children with this relationship and found that she was a better friend to her husband rather than a wife. Tia is a single mom that continues to raise 5 little people into well-rounded, intelligent, and caring people.
Tia shares some fundamental beliefs about being a single parent:
1) Love yourself before you decide to love another person
2) Your kids live out the love you give
3) Stop worrying, everything will work out
We are doing the best that we can with what we know. When we know better, we do better. There are so many situations that combine our desires and circumstances. Tia is not a stereotype, she is not a cautionary tale. She has dreams and goals for herself. She has mastered the art of creating a culture of Love in her home. That is the best example for her littles...keep moving. Resilience has been built here.
Hey Tiana, you're doing good kid!

There are so many faces and sides in the debate about Abortion and Women's Rights. As a pro-life contributor to the conversation, I wanted to talk about the details that many are missing.
What happens in situations that we don't know? Who are we to judge others that have made a decision that is a result of details we don't understand?
This conversation is with my ride or die. My heart melted as Wendy explained her story to me. A story that isn't about the debate. It is a story that will touch your heart because of her resilience. Wendy Campbell details the situation that led her father to authorize this procedure for her. The story is one of love, approval and authority. Wendy didn't have the authority to choose for herself. Wendy is a refined person that has worked hard to turn her experience into a foundation to help others. It is a cautionary tale for parents, for communication, for forgiveness and for love.
Having an abortion does not result in punishment by God. God is not a God of confusion. Having an abortion does not mess up your life. It is a solution, but not a justification. The purpose of this episode is for people to see beyond the procedure or the debate about right or wrong. We need compassion for people that have had or are considering to have an abortion. Not to push our own agenda, but to teach options with compassion to educate people about the results of having an abortion.
Thank you Wendy for your story and your transparency. Your voice is heard and your experience will show others that survival is available. More importantly if we learn to listen to the details of the story - we might find more compassion than judgment and give more love than anything else.
We are better together.
This show is about you - the listener and how you perceive the experiences you have. I am excited for you to get involved and share your story. I am excited to hear your visions, your resilience stories... write to me and allow me to share your victories!

One thing that Eric Winfield and I have in common is our desire to make a difference. We sat down for a chat about our purpose that has come from being broken. Both of us have podcasts and welcome the adventure of creating change and thought with our content. This was a fun episode...one podcaster to another.
I have known Eric for over 10 years. He is talented. He is an author, speaker and podcaster. His book, Lifestruction is a guide to help those that are broken put the pieces together to create a new life. Eric has become an extension of what he didn't have what he wanted to create for his 3 daughters. Eric knew that he had a story that people not only needed to hear; but would become inspired with what they could overcome in their life.
Eric overcame the desire to "fit in" and replaced that desire with one to "be the change" in this world. He rebuilt his life and built a foundation of "self-love". Eric's healing is a part of his health.
We really learn so much from other people's stories. Podcasts are an amazing platform. The "why" people decide to develop content is often based on inspiration. Eric and I agree that we are inspired to create moments that people get a new way of thinking or insight to a situation. For those that are wanting to start their own podcast - 1) Pay attention to your content - more than your numbers 2) Plan out your episodes 3) Research 4) Market Yourself 5) Stay consistent 6) Get around people that know more than you.

You need to know where you are going. You need to have a Vision to focus on the path that is before you. We have Vision everyday. The difference in our vision is who or what it is based on. We identify what we need and write it doesn to execute the plan to move it forward. This could be as simple as a grocery list and as big as a career.
The resilience that you continue to develop from what you go through adds to the vision to where you are going. It is important for you to have a vision, a plan. Your vision influences all those around you and the environment around you. Here are a few steps for your vision:
1) Establish what is vision is for you
2) Create a vision, write it down
3) Believe in your vision, this is where you develop faith
4) Apply the vision to your life. Take responsibility for it
5) Learn from the challenges that come your way - we call it resilience :)
6 Keep Moving!

I brought my Besties into the studio to talk about one of our favorite subjects - SEX!
Marion Warner and Cecilia Hawes are two of my Besties that I have known for so many years and we love to chat up all subjects including sex. This is our opportunity to have you listen in to one of those conversations.
There are so many layers to the subject of Sex and the Married Woman. We are all over the age of 40 and married to the loves of our life. In marriage, we have the opportunity to share the most intimate and passionate relationship that creates real love and a great sexual relationship. We don't take it for granted and continue to work on keeping our relationship and ourselves satisfied.
Our bodies are changing. Menopause, gravity and no longer chilldbearing are realities in our lives. These realities do not prevent or hinder our sex lives. We are empowered to make the most of any changes and accept our robust appetites to have sex with our husbands. In this conversation, we talk about the emotional, physical and spiritual aspects of sex at our age. Hebrews 13:4, the marriage bed is not defiled.
There are myths that are not true. There are fears that some women feel as they age. There are solutions that are available for you to enjoy your sexlife and resources for you to look into to improve your sexlife. A good sex life is available. You can have the confidence to have a good sex life and mean it! We use our powers for good.
This show is about you - the listener and how you perceive the experiences you have. I am excited for you to get involved and share your story.

Happy to have my favorite person here on Earth join me for a fun conversation. My husband is my best friend and one of the smartest people that I know. We have established a "rhythm" of life rather than trying to balance it all. We focus on how we are made. We have a Spirit, live in a Body and Feed our Soul that houses our intellect, imagination and feelings.
Body:
Martial Arts expands you physically, spiritually and emotionally. Tang Soo Do makes you better in all areas of your life. It causes you to carry yourself in a confident way and the results of the discipline that was created, There is something that you can tap into that makes you feel more alive and stretches you beyond the ability of what you have attempted. For Phreddie, it's Tang Soo Do... you should find what moves you.
Soul:
We value the memories that we create. We have been intentional with making memories. Memories take you back to moments that allow you to overcome or deal with challenges outside of your control. We treasure the time that we are in. Memories make moments matter. We feed our imagination, feelings and intellect with the memories that we make.
Spirit:
A real relationship that fulfills you. You can't allow what has hurt you become your identity. Ask God to show himself to you. You have to see a perfect God even when you are dealing with imperfect people. Spend quality time with God and try out His word.
This show is about you - the listener and how you perceive the experiences you have. I am excited for you to get involved and share your story.

This is a fun conversation with the "Besties". Growing up and finding their own individual paths and going through tough times brought them together as best friends. They are bonded and compliment one another in such a special way. Sharenda is the Free Spirit and Christie is the Relationship Whisperer. They have bonded in a way that allows each other's strengths to compliment each other's weaknesses. Both ladies have designed a beautiful life and admire each other in a way that makes room for personal growth.
They consciously choose things that bond them. The intentionality of their relationship includes lots of fun and many laughs. Respect and Joy are the symptoms of a good relationship. You can have a sister. You can have a woman that you cherish and allow them to be who they are as you show up in the relationship. This is a relationship that allows you to grow and change. Sister-friends are relationships that you can have and keep. Women are powerful when we are together and for each other.
Love these ladies! Proud to be their Sister-Friend :)

We often believe that in order to see yourself in positions that have notoriety, influence and authority; we have to see others to set an example. I have heard that some people get inspired by others who become trailblazers for others to follow. I believe Representation Matters - it is important to see others achieve success that we didn't realize is possible. I also believe that it is important to have a foundation of faith represented in your family history. We need to see leaders in our family that represent what is good and how to live our lives on purpose and in purpose. Representation Matters. Who are you representing?
We welcomed back my sister-friend, Sharenda Roam-Beal and invited her sister, Christie Wright to share all of the things that matter. Sharenda and Christie are members of the Roam Family. The Roam Family is known in Phoenix Arizona as pioneers of Christ Life Church in Tempe, Arizona. Jim and Sharon Roam founded Christ Life Church and yielded their life in the service of others. Christ Life emphasised the teaching of the Bible and understanding the example of Jesus Christ. Growing up in a Bible centered home with traditions, ministry and a lot of love formed the foundation of faith in each child and a solid understanding of the place that is closest to our heart; our home. Sharenda and Christie treasure their childhood and are intentional about the traditions, conversations and love that are the constant vibes in their households. They strive to create sacred sanctuary in their homes.
It matters what we do and don't do in our homes. It matters what we believe and what our children hear us say and watch us do. Most importantly, we need to remember that the biggest example in the heart of our children is our example. The goal isn't to be perfect, but we should be intentional.

Sometimes the conversations that I have are pure fun. Sometimes informational. This time our conversation filled my heart with love and understanding. My friend Sandra Newman has been a part of my family for many years. We met years ago in a business venture and connected on a level that many won't understand.
Sandra is a gift. She has the greatest gift of mercy and compassion. Her upbringing as the oldest child and preacher's kid laid the foundation of her commitment to her family. Sandra and Greg's eldest son, Zack was diagnosed with Deutschen Muscular Dystrophy at the age of 10. Sandra and Greg continued to take care of both their boys, Zach and Josh while running a successful Graphic Design and Photography business. Greg Newman, Sandra's husband of 31 years was diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia. Greg was promoted to Heaven and on November 24,2021; Zach, 34 joined his dad.
Sandra has been referred to as a caretaker. She will agree with that title - but will add that she was the one learning from those that she took care of. She is full of gratitude with a life she didn't plan. Sandra talks about her trust issues and that the experience of living, loving and taking care of her guys brings her to the ultimate trust in God. Sandra is working on her story. She advocates for caregivers "support them by being supportive". One dream is Eden's Wellspring - a group home for young adults over the age of 18, who are physical disabled. Eden's Wellspring will be a home for those to find their home outside of their parents.
Sandra's advice "don't quit".
I will never quit on you friend. It's an honor to know you. May those that listen add more compassion and mercy to their story.

We are creative beings. So often, we get in our own way to be an extension of the gifts that are in our heart and soul. The conversation is a motivating, refreshing look at our happiness and the simple gifts that make up our creativity.
Dr. Sharenda Roam Beal is a professor, author, wife, mom and a great friend. She is cultivator of freedom and lives out the confidence of her relationship with God. Sharenda is a free spirit that wants to have fun. We talked about her new book, Here, A Happy Book about Existence. This book is available on Amazon and Audible. You can also find Dr. Sharenda at sharendaroam.com
Our conversation picks up the details that outline Sharenda's resilience and her "practice" to overcome the challenges of life. It is important to know your triggers. It is important to know your emotional strength. It is important to take control of your thoughts and make your actions move you into joy. It is possible and this conversation will give you a better perspective of what is available for you. Sharenda talks about imagination and her process to get to the destination of freedom in who she is. That same destination is available for you.
This is a real conversation. These are real talking points that can make the difference for you or someone that you share this with. Happiness! Success! Acceptance!! What does that look like for you? This episode will open your mind and guide you to your next steps.Happy is what we make it!

"I deserve this. I worked hard to get here. I can have it all."
These phrases are often a part of our thought process but not our plan.
This was a great conversation with Ashlee Atkins. Ashlee is quite the example of tenacity and focus. Ashlee is feeling comfortable and safe in her career and is passionate about serving others.
Ashlee is the President of the Greater Phoenix Urban League Young Professionals. This group is a national organization. Their mission is to connect others, encourage personal development and establish community service.
A native of Arizona, Ashlee has worked hard to accomplish every goal she put her mind and actions toward. She connected her Psychology degree with a desire to help others and landed in Human Resources. Ashlee committed to getting experience wherever she could. Her openness and work ethic connected her with the path she is on to building confidence in her own success. As we develop our plan, we often become our worst critic. Success can often be a hinderance to self-worth and approval. This conversation is relevant to all of us who continue to strive for more or those that are learning how to.
We have to do something. We need to connect to others and define ourselves by not only our occupation but who we are a people. Ashlee's advice for herself was to draw boundaries and give herself space to recognize her success. People are now tapping into what Ashlee has to share about her experience and knowledge. Ashlee's resilient allows her to speak to others and guide them to their path. Her advice to us is to "start somewhere - just show up and be present"
In this world of busyness and preservation, tap into why you are doing what you do and the resilience that you have. You were created for more. Enjoy our conversation and let out talking points be a guide for your next steps.

Our youngest son, Phreddie "Josiah" joined me for a conversation about his journey to pursue purpose in his life. Josiah overcame the challenges as a young father to graduate with his bachelor's degree in Communication from Southwestern University in 2020. Josiah continues to pursue his goals, dreams and talents with a commitment to his relationship with God.
Josiah is a fun-loving, extrovert who grew up in a family of faith. He believed that he was great and is a great communicator. That belief allowed him to build relationships, stay loyal and become a caretaker to the friends that find a safe place in his counsel. Josiah confesses that some of his decisions were made out of him wanting to do what he wanted to do. The consequence of those decisions are named: Jaxson Adonis & Sophie Andrea.
Josiah made it clear that a relationship with God is essential when the life around you isn't planned. COVID, No job search support and judgements were the catalyst to draw him back to his relationship with God. Josiah states that a strong "why" makes all the difference in pursuing healthy relationships - especially a relationship with God.
We are proud of Josiah. Always have been and always will be. It continues to be the same story. The parents believe that their children can conquer the world and the children continue to hope that the parents are right.

Rachel Whitehouse was a delightful guest. This conversation was a refreshing look at family dynamics and structure. Rachel walks us through her family structure and the commitment that she and her husband, Ben have to their children. Rachel and Ben spend the time to know their children and prepare them for anything and everything God has for them. The goal for their home is Peace.
Rachel and Ben discovered each other in the early years of marriage and then added 3 little people. The details of building their life together are simple, specific and intentional. Rachel and Ben have taken control of their family "practice" and create moments that build a safe place and a place to grow. Daily rhythms and routines create space to learn and grow as a family. I love the compassion, intellect and heart of all Rachel shared.
Our perspective is our reality. Belonging, identity and the Love of the Father is a foundation that Rachel and Ben continue to reinforce in their family. Rachel lives in the moment and her creativity and plan is such a lovely process that empowers her family and community. Keep family close for the love of our children.

Laura and I don't know each other well. We are both married to Senior Pastors and serve in our churches with our husbands. Her husband Ron, who experienced a heart attack, brought us together in a special way. It is that bond that will continue to grow our friendship. We share the same faith and believe in the power of our confession and reading the Word of God.
Please listen to this conversation with an open heart. Be open to the power of our faith and why there is no other option for us as believers. Laura's confession - "I trust you, I believe you and I need you to show me" to God is everything. We have to invest in something more than ourselves. We have to invest in more than how we handle a crisis. Our faith is in Our God, the creator of Heaven and Earth.
Our world right now is in crisis. From a pandemic to war with Ukraine. We need to know what to do in a crisis when we can't depend on ourselves. The transparency we need is to know and understand that we are not alone. We don't have to figure out what happens next. Laura's commitment to live in faith over fear is one of the most powerful stories you will hear.
This is what you do when you don't know what to do... you believe.
Grateful that Pastor Ron is healing. Grateful to Laura for sharing. Romans 8:28 - the ultimate resilience verse."...all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to his Purpose"(NKJV)

Great conversation with Fecilia Mathis.
Felicia is an amazing mom, sister, daughter and friend. In this conversation, we shared details about the love we have to have as an individual to build a life together with our spouse. After 19+ years of marriage, Fecilia and her ex-husband decided to end their marriage.
Divorce is sometimes necessary when couples grow apart as they grow as individuals. Felicia gives a transparent and heartfelt description of the steps that cause her to work her way out of her marriage.
Looking from the outside, their marriage was amazing. On the inside, it was fractured. From friendship to divorce - Felicia talks to the journey and conversations she had with herself. A self-described "go-getter" in everything she does; Felicia puts the same energy into loving herself and growing from that place.
The journey is hard. Change is hard. We don't get married to get divorced. For Felicia, this end is a new beginning and we are here for it!
Listen to this talk and take away the love that makes all the difference. Falling in love with yourself.
Until next time.

I had the honor of talking with one of the members of my village, Anthony Huff.
Anthony has been a part of my family for over 25 years. I refer to him as my "Tallest" child. Our families have grown up together and shared many experiences. So proud of the work that Anthony has done in his heart. He is emotionally free and striving to be the man that he was created to be.
This conversation is deep, honest and mature. Anthony is living out Resilience. Anthony detailed the seasons in his life where he judged his biological father, played roles to belong with friends and was unfaithful to his marriage. Anthony talks about forgiving himself and how he is able to give to others because of his experiences. He is giving and receiving love like never before. Forgiving yourself is one of the hardest tasks you can do. This is where love begins..when you love yourself.
This is an important conversation. Learning that your perspective is your reality and that your perspective affects others around you. You are not the mistakes you make; but it is important to be accountable for what you do. You don't have to go through situations to teach you what you need to know. You can listen to stories like Anthony's to see yourself and grow from there.
We love you Anthony, from our perspective...you are amazing.
Until next time....
Thank you so much for your thoughts, prayers and interest in my resilience story. So grateful to give you an update on my healing journey. I am healing well from the electric scooter accident that happened in September 2021. I broke my tibia, my shoulder and my wrist.
I have been promoted from the wheelchair to walking with a cane. I am in occupational and physical therapy and working very hard. I am seeing the results of my hard work and have a great team working with me. I am grateful for all the little things. I am an independent person that has been humbled and empowered to keep setting goals for myself. I am taking it all step by step - literally.
I am doing what I know to do. My report is a good report. A good report on my physical, emotional and spiritual well-being. I am healing well by building on my faith. My faith, the faith I am developing for myself, about myself.
Keep listening.. I will run because I keep healing well.
Cheers...with a full glass of orange juice....

In this episode, I have a detailed conversation with one of the most joyous people I know. My friend, Betty Hughes shared her health journey and the diagnosis she received from the many doctors that she has counseled with.
Betty had been diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis as a child. Hashimotos's Autoimmune disorder after her pregnancies. Shingles, Bell's Palsy and Epstein Barr Virus as an adult. Betty has not only overcome these diagnoses and the pain she had had for years - she is full of joy that radiates in how she cares for herself and takes care of her family. I have never met a person that has so much joy regardless of what she is dealing with physically, emotionally or spiritually.
There is more to learn. There is more to overcome. Betty never stopped listening to her body. She mentions the Shame that comes with carrying the diagnosis. Betty changed her relationship with her body and remembered that she has a relationship with God. Her resting in her faith was the ultimate medicine. That is where it begins and ends... listening to your inner voice to keep researching and asking questions until you get relief. Betty isn't the only one. You may be dealing with pain or know someone that is hurting. Betty offered her contact information to continue the conversation- myresilientjourney@tutamail.com.

In this podcast, I invited my personal mentor Elmira Mills. Elmira speaks wisdom to my heart and reminds me of the knowledge that I already have. She doesn't know it all, but she believes in all the good we have available.
This heartfelt conversation talks about knowing who you are and who you are taught to be. We need the time and space to grow into a well-formed individual that is able to grow with others. We talk about marriage, communication, social media and cultural differences that make a difference. We often forget that many people around us have wisdom that can add to our next steps. How do you maintain your peace?

Life continues to change at the speed of events that happen in our lives. In this episode, I talk about the accident that I was involved in. I broke my leg. I broke my right shoulder and my left wrist after crashing on an electric scooter. It has been one of the most difficult ;if not The most difficult situation in my life.
I am in the process of healing. In the process of recovery. I began to talk about the details. The details that make the difference when we don't have any control in a situation.
I am sure that I will share more as I evolve out of the wheelchair, overcome intense physical therapy and rebuild my body. Get ready. The comeback is on the way!

In this fun episode, I invited my friend Noemi Howard. Noemi and I have been friends for over 10 years. Our boys played basketball together. She is the best example of a team mom and sports mom.. She has always motivated her sons, Desmond, Jordan and Markus to work hard to accomplish their dreams. Noemi knew when to step back and step forward to help her boys align with the goals. We have a fun conversation about all things related to a successful family, loving husbands and the "mom" factor that help our children to be the best version of themselves.
One of Noemi's greatest strengths is to call out distractions that cause our children to fail in this world. Both of our families are full of faith, full of dedication and full of love. Parents, listen close to the details that make your family strong and your faith stronger. The Howards proudly celebrate their children's successes. Desmond owns his own coaching business. Jordan plays basketball Internationally in Puerto Rico and Markus was recruited to play with the Denver Nuggets in 2021.
There are so many parents that wish for their children to accomplish the success of the Howard Family. It starts with a plan, lots of discipline and faith to help your child and not hinder your child. Take a listen.

In this episode, we talk about the hardest job I ever had. Stepmom. The reason this job was the hardest was because I was always reminded of who I am not. I understood early in my marriage that my step-children did not need another mom. It was one of the best realizations that I have had because I didn't think I was a replacement or being punished because these children were here before I was. I believe that the relationship that my husband had before me was none of my business and to this day, it still isn't any of my business.
I never called my children "step" and I found myself excited about little people that I had an opportunity to influence. I have often told them that the difference between them and their younger siblings is time. I have spent more time with the younger children. Everything isn't always easy, but it is worth it. I have 3 additional people to love and be loved by.

We continue to give credit to the knowledge gained in the experiences we overcome or resilience. In this episode, our guest is Tatiana Minnifield, 21. The youngest child in our family of 6 children. Tatiana continues to teach me that I am able to show up in our relationship and be accepted as I am. My daughter does not judge the experiences that I have had and trusts that I am doing the best that I know how to. She is the complement of who I am and one of the best combinations of my husband and me.
Our relationship is not flawless, but it is a perfect example of the possibilities when you establish that love is what connects us. We have a love and respect that allows us to work through hard conversations, dream bigger dreams and respect our individual personalities. We have a firm foundation in our faith. In today's world, young adults are so distracted by the pandemic, trends and social media. Tatiana has taken a stance against conforming to the trends and standing up for what she believes in.
This episode speaks to all ages and all family relationships. We can all use more patience and less judgment with those that are the closest to us. Listen to us and let us know what you think.

In this episode, I share the details of my story that make a difference. I have learned to recover quickly from difficult situations. I highlight my childhood, teenage years, college time and give details that examine my belief system and how experiences shape who you are and how you relate to the world.
My story is not so different from others, but it does become more powerful each time I share something that can help someone realize they are not alone, a new way to look at a situation or encouragement to get beyond where they are now. Many people believe they are "getting over" or "dealing" with trauma - but they aren't. You cannot be delivered from something you don't vocalize. Resilience helps you identify life markers of revelation that change your thinking. The examples in my life become my story. What are the details in your story that can help others?

I invited my best friend and favorite people on Earth - My Husband, Phreddie to this episode.. We have been married for over 25 years. In the beginning of our relationship, we were all about fun. and what we remembered after this conversation...we are STILL having fun. Phreddie and I created a blended family. We have a total of 6 children and many years of growing together as a couple and as individuals. We have grown in our commitment to Christ, defining the call of God in our life and working together as pastors at WordLife Church in Chandler, Arizona.
Our life plan was created out of spending time together. Long talks and good decisions allowed us the time and space to develop as individuals and compliment our goals to create a life of purpose. Purpose begins when you surrender your life over to Jesus. Jesus has been the focus of our relationship regardless of the broken relationship or faulty examples we grew up with. We hope that you enjoy our conversation. What do you identify with?

The daily decisions that we make impact our health. This is one of the most powerful stories I can share. Without health, we don't have life. We need our physical, emotional, spiritual and financial health to balance. This story is my story. my results, my journey and my path.
Please allow this episode to help you in making better quality decisions about your health. We only get one body to take care of. All of the areas of health are important to balance all aspects of our lives. I implore you to become your own best advocate. I believe that knowledge is power. Keep asking questions, keep talking to doctors and most importantly keep talking to God about where you are and how to become healthier.
I'm good. I continue to improve on what good looks like for me. I believe that there are always adjustments that I can make to become healthier. I don't believe that your family history is the history that you have to follow. Use your power to make better choices. I know that there is a community out there that would love to share their victories over medical reports or conditions. Let's hear you! People are waiting for you to be the knowledge that they seek.
