From feminism to femininity, Delores King shares how her change brought peace to her marriage and a platform to teach her seven daughters how to grow their own marriages. She now compliments her husband rather than competes with him, and calls all women to the same. I was fascinated by her story and knew I had to bring her onto the podcast!
Is purity all about not having sex before marriage, or is there far more to giving our spouse the best version of ourselves? What about those with previous regrets and relationships? Does being a virgin guarantee a successful marriage? Join me for a refreshing, holistic view of what it means to enter marriage with genuine love.
Is turning someone down really rejection? What about being turned down, or having either of you end a relationship? I dare say these are not rejections but an invitation to discover something better--either personal growth, or someone who simply fits us better. Either way, confidence means being able to view a relationship objectively, and coming away a better person.
Sometimes "the list" we come up with is a spiritualized way of sticking with our "type". How can a preconceived idea of what our partner has to be like keep us from discovering love that is everything we need, yet nothing we expect? Creating an idealistic version of a person that does not exist in real life can keep us from enjoying love right in front of us.
Real Talk with Sara, where conversation happens on topics many are shy to discuss. From feminism to abortion to how men and women are wired differently, we discuss human relationships openly on all accounts. What is the difference between lust and love? How does understanding this affect dating and marriage? All this and more discussed candidly, here. Welcome to Real Talk with Sara, where conversation matters!
Why Religion Can't Satisfy Itself in God
What happens when we impose extra Biblical ideas onto ourselves or others in an effort to be "spiritual"? Forcing ourselves into fabricated holiness robs us of abundant life and joy-filled purpose. Let;s talk about the difference between true holiness and a self-imposed infliction of religious ideas in an effort to be holy.
How does denial of our pain create alternative realities in our minds? The stories we tell ourselves become the voices our children hear. How do we live in truth when our minds want to take us elsewhere?
