Tom is finally back from Florida and he has a great story from his travels and his time in Florida. Tom and Ellen sold their home and it really took some time and required them to keep their home clean, imagine that! Tom did not enjoy the journey home to say the least and don’t get him talking about Baltimore! Mike gets into the jobs that will disappear, he guarantees it! This week on The Sicilian Corner we have Tom and Mike at the Studio 21 Podcast Café, they made a visit to Grazie Restaurant (you should too) with Mary Ann Esposito and her husband Guy this past weekend and they had an amazing night. Mike and Cindy Kuenzler were fantastic hosts and most importantly Mary Ann loved Grazie!! Tom reveals that Mike was hacked, so if you got an email from Mikey, please ignore and don’t buy anything that the hacker suggests. The guys, awkwardly talk about male grooming, which we let them know that it’s called manscaping, they have some difficulty working around the issue which makes everything fun! The final segment the boys get into Mac Jones and his injury against Baltimore and his future, he will be out about six weeks. Tom put an offer in on a Babe Ruth autograph that is a PSA 9, we shall follow along and see if he gets the item! Change of the seasons are also on the agenda, complaining is what we do here in New England, Mike hates the heat and humidity.

Tom is on assignment this day and that leaves Mike and a special guest Al Zappala in person From Sicily! We have a bunch to chat about, Al chats about his Grandchildren and how special that time is, then the weather in Sicily compared to New England. This week we have a big show! We have Tom and Mike with Al Valenti and Dottie DeMarco for the hour to talk about Tony DeMarco and the great memories around his life. Al and his family are legendary in the boxing community and have a long history in Boston, and if you have eaten Boston Garden Pizza, you have eaten his family’s pizza. Mike and Tom get sidetracked, which is a surprise to no one, about pizza and which is better, which by the way is a whole separate show altogether.
Mike asks Al about the Johnny Saxson fight that Tony had in 1955, a classic 14 round TKO for Tony and the panel chats about how local Tony was to Boston’s North End, as local as you can get. They talk about the relationship that Tony developed with rival Carmen Basilio, a lifelong friendship between the two families was a joy to hear about.
