Contrary to popular opinions, the Bible is prescriptive about Christian associations, socialisations, and relationships. Similar to Christmas, Easter has been commercialised with lots of people that observe it unaware of its biblical origins and significance to the Christian Faith. Easter is a celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead which is the foundational belief that the Christian Faith is built upon. The resurrection of Jesus is the most well-attested fact in ancient history. Yet, many people still deny its reality in modern times. In this three-part series, I expound on Apostle Paul’s case presented in 1 Corinthians chapter 15 in defence of the reality of the bodily resurrection of Jesus, its significance, and implications which are central to Christian life, liturgy, and practices. This episode is dedicated to my fellow singles who have been called to marriage, and are eagerly awaiting for the manifestation of God’s plan for their lives in this regard. In November 2021, BBC News(UK) released a short video of a lady called Jess who was recruited into Shincheonji Church of Jesus which she later discovered was a cult. This led to the #churchorcult Twitter conversation where people shared their own personal experiences of church hurt. From my observations, church hurt is a term many of us are familiar with as well as a collective experience many of us share. Yet, it is a topic that is hardly addressed within some Christian churches. Talk about irony! In this 2nd episode of season 2 on the Soul Food Podcast, I discuss the psychology of cults to help others discern whether they belong to a church or a cult, and to elucidate how impactful the psychological damage cult life cause their victims. Hello & welcome to another motivational Monday segment. This 2-part, short series on, The Power of a Woman’s Influence is for all my ladies out there! Ladies, did you know that God categorically created us as women to be influencers? I know society automatically only gives this title to anyone with a large social media following.

But according to the Bible, we are all natural born influencers irrespective of our age, platform or number of followers on social media. Specifically, as Christian women, God expects us to use our power of influence for good and to bring Him glory. In this first instalment, I examine the life of a well-known, Biblical female character that sadly used her power of influence for evil for us to learn from her mistakes. Enjoy and stay tuned for part 2!

In this episode, I talk about the reality of waiting for the Lord and also share practical tips on how to maintain a good attitude while waiting because God does something in us in the wait.
