Parker Schultz is a local Milwaukee singer/songwriter who goes by Social Cig. He is an independent musician and records almost all of his work by himself in his flat. After a conversation at a show of his, I got the honor to record an episode with him where we discuss the meaning and origins of his talent, what performing means, and the meaningful conversations and lyrics that originate from behind a cigarette. Parker is a very genuine person and is driven to always be making music for the fans and himself.  Stream Social Cig on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/artist/0KNhmP2Fvad6ym6UQ2MTDj?si=C_80X5DFRuKgj5jTMARZUQ Follow Social Cig on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/socialcig/?hl=en

In episode two of the podcast I meet with my German teacher and mentor of 5 years, Terry Bothun (Herr B), and his 7 year old daughter Sophie. It is a beautiful early afternoon at the Milwaukee Lakefront to share a coffee and a conversation about Germany, differences, similarities, and education. Sophie shows off her German skills, I reveal my favorite animal, Herr B gives us his history and experience in Milwaukee and we remind ourselves that "die Sonne scheint noch" (the sun always shines)!

In this episode I meet with the incredible Lori Henthorne, my high school art teacher who has helped me a lot on my journey to where I am today. We record our conversation in the busy downtown area of Milwaukee (I APOLOGIZE FOR THE CIRCULAR SAW GOING OFF IN THE BACKGROUND OCCASIONALLY) outside of a hole in the wall coffee shop. Mrs. Henthorne tells me all about what it takes to be a teacher, how to be a human and gives peaceful advice about the "quest" of life. Keep an eye out for #earlybirdclayworks on Instagram and Facebook, she makes some amazing pottery!

In the first official episode of the podcast, experimenting with the new microphone, I gather with my housemates Nathan and Nate and we talk about nothing of major importance. We discuss where we're from and how we feel living in our current world, whether that be college, living at the new house, or situations surrounding the pandemic.
