On today’s episode, I’m joined by associate professor Tore Olsson. Dr. Olsson is a historian of the transnational American history. In this conversation, we talk about his path from arriving as an immigrant in the United States to being one of its historians. Dr. Olsson is author of an award-winning history on the mutual entanglements of agricultural development in the United States and Mexico. Agrarian Crossings: Reformers and the Remaking of the US and Mexican Countryside was published by Princeton University Press in 2017 as part of their America in the World series. These days, Dr. Olsson is working on several interesting projects in the classroom and in research, inspired by video games and country music.
