Eating Place
This series of five walks is intended to catalyze new entanglements with our immediate urban ecosystems and eating, when considered from the perspective that every part of the environment has agency and interests. Rivers, plants, cars, sneakers, crows, and even a cobblestone are 'eating' and 'being eaten', actively co-shaping the urban environment alongside us.
Can we expand who is considered a subject who eats? How does this ask us to radically transform our ideas of property, human-centered ethics and political agency?
Are we the living outcome of a hundred million year catastrophe? What kind of catastrophe do we want to become? A trip on the bus as we search for catastrophes — the imprints they leave behind, and the composites they create.
