On the season finale of Cup of Coffee With Jesus, Pastor Melinda Watts spoke with NFL player Jaret Patterson of the Washington Commanders. They discuss the importance of following dreams and how those very dreams can be an avenue to so much more. See so many of us have dreams that are written, but are not being executed. Well let today be the day you begin to make your dreams reality. Put in the work and trust God with the results.
Is it discernment or is it fear? This is a question we should all ask ourselves. A lot of times when entering new territory we can become terrified, so much that we talk ourselves out of environments that are helping us grow. Well let today be the day we decided to stop, trust, God and go. The Bible tells us to pray without ceasing, so when you step out, pray too! Pray for the Holy Spirit to guide you in all things. Read the room and trust God for instructions.
If I Believe
If is a conjunction word.
It requires action on the part of individuals who desires to see change.
If we believe that the promises of God are true, then we will see the manifestations of His Word in our lives.
As we celebrate this resurrection season remember He died with you in mind. All you have to do is believe.
Are you choosing to live and speak life today? Proverbs 18:21 says: "Life and death is in the power of the tongue, and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof." What we say is what we have, therefore speaking God's truth is better than speaking negatively. There's nothing wrong with acknowledging reality, but make sure to speak life over it so that it can produce the right fruit. We all go through things, but it isn't an invitation to always identify with our trauma and ignore our victory. Turn the page and write a new chapter today! God's healing is available and victory is who you are!
Psalms 40:5
We must learn to praise God in everything.
If we had ten thousand tongues, it would never be enough to thank and praise the Lord for His grace and mercy.
Learn to Towad Him. (Hebrew word for praise).
Make a sacrificial praise unto the Lord for He indeed is Worthy.
What are those lukewarm areas in your life?
Have you taken the time to invite God into them or is it more convenient for you to hide?
However you answer this, this episode is to encourage you to welcome God into every area of your life, yes even the hidden things, (especially the hidden things). God desires us to be holy and set apart, and in order for us to do so we need His Word for guidance.
Conviction is a beautiful part of our walk with God, because it's signals us to what is wrong. It's not there to condemn, but to point us in the direction of true repentance. God's grace is sufficient, but lets not abuse it!
Instead of hiding from God and remaining lukewarm, choose to be hot or cold. I pray you choose hot, but whatever you choice is God would rather your honesty. He can truly work with that!
To believe in something or someone you must have trust, confidence, and faith in them.
John 3:16 says "God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believe in him shall not perish but have everlasting life."
The question is do you believe?
On this episode of “Cup of Coffee With Jesus”, we continue the discussion on spending time with God.
We had the pleasure of interviewing Schenelle Jefferson, the founder of Faith Girl Cosmetics, Conversation, Clothing, and Beauty Studio on what works for her, and man it was rich!
We know that life gets busy, but reminding ourselves that our success comes from God, helps us along the journey. (Joshua 1:8)
Taking time to spend with God also helps us through the day. Whether it's early in the morning, in your car, your prayer closet, your lunch break, or before bed (etc.) have your quiet time with Jesus! ❤️
Busy much?
Yea us too, but making time for God is an essential part of life. I mean He is the one causing our hearts to beat to do the things that keep us busy, right?
So on this episode we are discussing putting God at the center of our days. How meditating on His word brings us success and peace.
With God as our foundation we are set for what life brings; now that doesn't me we won't be rocked, but at least we have the right support to stand on.
Making room for God sets us up to overcome, and His word has answers for EVERYTHING.... Don't miss out by seeking the wrong sources, especially when you have access to Him 24/7.
We're praying for prayer lives to be creative in this season! Have fun with God and blossom!
Hey friends and welcome back!
We are so excited to spice things up this season with interviews and thought what better way to began, than to interview Pastor Melinda Watts on how "Cup of Coffee With Jesus" started!
So this is what this episode is all about!
We discuss the vision, goals, and even encourage listeners on how to "just do it." Let's be honest we never know how things will unfold while stepping into obedience, but trusting God to make it better fro each step taken, is what it's all about.
So without further ado, enjoy and here we go!
We're back!!!! That's right it's season 2 of Cup of Coffee With Jesus and we are so excited to share with you!
Wow, it's a new year and we want everyone to get what God has for them; and one way to ensure that we are following His lead is stilling ourselves.
On this episode Pastor Melinda Watts is encouraging listeners to be still in the presence of God, so that one can know where He is leading in this year. Staying close to Jesus is beneficial, for He will forever guide His sheep in the right direction.
Are you ready for your miracle? Well guess what, miracles are still happening. All you need is the faith the size of a mustard seed; just ask and believe, and you will receive your miracle.
Being a willing vessel and saying yes like Mary can be frightening, but trusting that God knows best will yield great results! Afraid or not, ask the Holy Spirit for divine connections that will cause your baby to leap, just like Mary and Elizabeth.
Expect your miracle today!
Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year! Most are out shopping, having parties, and enjoying friends and family. But with all the gift giving going on, let us remember to love one another! For love is the greatest gift to give freely! Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong with gifts, but be wise with spending and always honor God first!
Distractions come, but keep building!!!!
Staying focused on what God has called us to build can be a challenge, especially when we are hit with opposition. But, we have a choice to invest our energy into things that will add value to us and God's vision. It is completely ok to take a step back to reevaluate; the problem comes when we remain stagnant and waddle in our past mistakes and failures. We are over-comers who stare oppositions/distractions in the face, and remind them who our God is. Our weaknesses are no match to our God, because in those moments His strength is made perfect in us.
Turning our eyes on Jesus will cause our oppositions/distractions to look small! The more we praise, worship, and pray, strategies from heaven are released. Our minds are clear and at peace with what God is doing.
Opposition and distractions are apart of everyday life, so stay focus and keep building. You will see more and more each day what matters the most.
Don't worry, be happy!
Life has a way of burdening us down with worry. The cares of this world can be heavy , but we are not alone. I Peter 5:7 (NLT) says "give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you. With every concern, it is ok to be specific with your prayers. Let God know where you stand, write things down, so as He answers your prayers you can check them off, and look back at His faithfulness.
So don't worry, be happy, and may God peace surpass all of your understanding.
Did you know that God has your best interest at hand? That He desires to fill you up until you overflow? No matter the circumstance, God longs for us to be so close that He can fill us up daily with what we need. May we draw near to Him, to receive and pour out of the overflow that He freely gives!
Joy is a fruit of the Spirit that we as believers have access to! It is God's desire to fill us with His joy, so much that the world can't take it away.
On this episode of Cup of Coffee With Jesus, we are encouraging listeners to get their joy back by surrendering to God's will and taking their authority back. Life will happen, but we have a Father who wants to keep and restore the joy of our salvation.
So whenever you're ready, press play, and get your joy back!
God Bless!
