Jenny Pickens is an Asheville, NC area native. She is a self-taught artist who has been making art all her life. Working in mediums including fiber arts, pencil, pen & ink, pastels, oils, as well as hand built pottery and repurposed jewelry, Jenny’s work has been featured in a variety of articles, galleries & festivals around the community.
Jenny also works with children in afterschool programs, such as IRL and Asheville City Schools TAPAAS program, to help young artists curate their talent and love for creating. Jenny will take on the role as Project Facilitator in July 2021 at The Mars Hill Anderson Rosenwald School, becoming the first person to teach in that space since 1965.

After graduating from Mars Hill College in 1995, Patrick Crudup worked for the Asheville Parks and Recreation Department, using skills he acquired while studying recreation administration. In 2002, he joined the Asheville Fire Department and completed the Firefighter Training Academy.
