OCT Angiography is a valuable, non-invasive method for obtaining information about blood flow. Blood flow is relevant to glaucoma, but how do we integrate the information gained from OCTA into our clinical glaucoma practice? In this episode Dr Jack Phu discusses the work of Kamalipour and colleagues from the Shiley Eye Institute, UC San Diego, and asks the question "Does OCTA predict future visual field progression?"

In this episode, Dr Phu reviews some reserach by Shah and colleagues that surveyed patients with diagnosed or suspected glaucoma to identify their visual symptoms, then correlated these to the visual field loss in their worse eye. This paper helps us, as clinicians, to understand the most common symptoms reported by patients with glaucoma. It also investigates how the frequency of symptoms experienced changes as the severity of these symptoms increase.
