Research and thought leaders often promote that professionals must find a job/career that's both intrinsically motivating and in alignment with their core values. The outcome of obtaining a job consistently leads to increased employee productivity, skill development, and longer-tenure. However if we are willing to discuss and advocate this value, then we must also acknowledge the rarity of finding these jobs as well as other positions that exist. In this episode, we explore the concept of Role Redundancy and the draining emotional experience employees face when they're in positions that are detached from their motivations and passions.

Regardless of the context and situation, change affects all of us mentally and emotionally. In this episode, we explore a perspective that may help us understand why we build up resistance toward change in the workplace.

Our inner dialogue can vastly influence our mindset and emotional state when we find ourselves promoted into a new role or we're planning to switch industries. We question whether we'll be successful, generate every possible scenario that could go wrong, and make a laundry list of things we need to immediately hit the ground running on. Our episode focuses on the inner dialogue people often experience in the workplace and whether the questions being asked come from a place of fact or assumption. How often you find yourself questioning your abilities and do you notice how it affects your work performance?
Sometimes the smallest solutions can lead to the biggest changes in our work performance, mindset, and emotions. In this episode , I share my thoughts on the difference between the typical breaks we tend to experience in the workplace and authentic breaks. Are you someone who sees their break as just killing time or are you using it to consciously renew, reset, and focus on the day ahead. In either case, how we utilize our breaks can have a direct impact in our job performance. So, are you just killing time on break or seizing it to consciously renew?
