About LeNa.
Absolutely loving to go out and dance, LeNa. began spinning the decks to create her own groove. Early on she got hooked on the sensation of taking the crowd on a rollercoaster of colourful techno during her set. With her bubbly & outgoing personality, she quickly made a name for herself and it did not take long before she was playing some of the bigger clubs & parties in Belgium.
LeNa. stands for high energy. She gives a twist to techno that is often known to be dark & repetitive. With her infatuating personality and own distinctive colourful style, she can get any crowd dancing.
After 5 years of playing, she desires to take it to the next level as she finds pleasure in creating her own music. At the moment she is working hard on her first track, which she hopes to release very soon.
Robert Milanesi, is the artist of ‘El Brujo”, born in 1964, he became addicted to music. In 1994 became known as one of the founders of the underground rave scene in Bologna, Italy.
His first official release in 2008 was ‘Warriors’ on the Milan Label Open Legs In 2011. His Label, Jambalay Records, was launched at their opening party in 2011 in Ibiza, Spain at Club Geminis in the Ibiza harbor . The label & El Brujo than bursted onto the worldwide scene with the legendary Maya Jane Coles first charting in her February Chart 2011; his track, ‘Mozambique’ in collaboration with Big Mojo, which was his first physical CD release ’Nutty Fellas Are Go. In January 2019, his release, ‘Plastic Dreams’ original released on Frame Works was ranked in the Number #33 in the Beatport Hard Techno Top 100. Since then he rarely fell off the Top 100 Beatport!

Vendex has found his way, the path of Techno, with a philosophy that
envelops him in a cloak of darkness.
Influenced by the literature of Dante Alighieri in his work the Divine
Comedy, as well as everything related to history, Vendex comes with the
intention of creating a path to an inner journey wrapped in dark
melodies, blunt and sharp bass that defy the natural , reaching
supernatural sounds that touch or even reach what would be the sound
of the underworld. Generating sounds that guide the Dantesque idea of
a trip in the underworld with the aim of reaching paradise. All this
through a forceful and enveloping sound, this creating a path to the nine
levels of hell, purgatory and finally reaching paradise.

Tracks: The Void - Fall into the Void
Concept: The history of this album is closely linked with Dante Alighieri's Divine Comedy. The void in Dante's allegory is represented in the moment in which the two find themselves at the center of the earth and mistakenly, given the knowledge of the time, they undergo the force of gravity from the reverse pole. In this Single Vendex offers us a much more effective allegory, artistically speaking, with a combination of two tracks with an archaic and experimental flavor at the same time, mixing ancient techno rims as in verses of the Comedy with the experimentation of a more empty vibe but perfect for accompany an endless journey across the boundaries of creativity.
More about REMIX CONTEST:
The remix contest will start on Monday 15th February and will last two months. We will choose 4 Remixes, two for each Original of the release for an Album remix coming out for the summer of 2021.
What we are looking for from this remix contest is the creative reinterpretation of emerging or non-emerging artists of an experimental language like that of Vendex in this work. Not the usual remix, but something that adds new value to the original work.

Bio:
UK-based producer and DJ, BinaryFunction, is no novice to the scene.
Moving on from Manchester, he relocated to the island of Mauritius in 1991, where he lived for 12 years. He began producing music from 1995 onwards, and took part in a DMC competition coming first. He began DJ’ing on the island of Mauritius the minute he arrived and quickly built a reputation as the first underground DJ on the island. His Acid House influences took over and he began DJing in most of the islands biggest clubs, leading him to warm up for French legend Laurent Garnier in 1998 on the neighbouring island Reunion. Since 2004 BinaryFunction returned to his hometown of Manchester and has been honing his production craft and DJing skills, waiting for the opportune moment to release his music.

Whilst in full lockdown here in the UK I've been keeping myself busy learning more and more about the world of streaming, noodling in my studio and being a dad. This month saw one of my dreams come true with my first ever vinyl release in the form of a track titled Damaged which appears on a 4 track various release on Science Cult - Squiggly Lines EP. The release was scheduled early this year however, COVID!!! delayed the fuck out of everything...Perhaps even more exciting for me is my fourthcoming full 4 track electro EP again on Science Cult and on beautiful coloured vinyl due for release early 2021. I'm super stoked to have been asked to provide another guest mix for the wonderful Shades of Play team, their support has been immense. I was recently featured as synth jam artist of the day episode 35 for Synths of the World which was great and totally unexpected. I've a lot planned for 2021 with more releases in the pipeline as I continue to do my thing. I hope you enjoy this mix, stay safe and be good to each other."
