Fernando Llera is known mainly for writing and drawing the Spanish language versions of "THE PINK PANTHER" and "BEEP BEEP, THE ROAD RUNNER" comic books from 1973 to 1992. He created his first comic strip, "MOBSTER NICK" in 1970. Six comic book issues of MOBSTER NICK were published by NOVARO under the Domingos Alegres banner in 1973-74. From 1974 to 1992, he wrote and drew the Spanish language versions of "THE PINK PANTHER" and "BEEP BEEP, THE ROAD RUNNER" comic books for Western Publishing Company's Latin American licensees, Editorial Novaro and later Editorial VID. He performed as a comedian at several local dinner theaters. In 1985, he wrote and appeared in two comedy TV series. He's also a licensed radio announcer and from 1995 to 2007, he co-hosted a daily two hour radio talk show for Grupo Radio Centro, a large Mexican radio network. He has illustrated several humor books and his cartoons have been published in several magazines. He published some editorial cartoons for Mexico's Reforma newspaper from 2004 until 2006. He has also appeared as an actor in Mexican films: HASTA MORIR ('Til Death - 1994) and BORRAR DE LA MEMORIA (2010). He was interviewed on-screen for a feature length documentary about the NOVARO era: NOVARO, THE MEXICAN COLOSSUS (2016). Since 2006, his editorial cartoons have been appearing regularly in Excelsior, a Mexican daily newspaper.

And the Gem of the week is: Vanessa Daly! The artist behind Dos Santos artworks is Vanessa Daly.
She is a contemporary abstract artist and Psychologist M.S. based in Fort Worth, Texas. She was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela in 1988. Since her childhood, she has been influenced not only by the Latin American culture but also by her Portuguese and Italian family roots.
Her brother and grandfather are also visual artists. She watched them paint and had their artworks around the home, making it colorful and unique.
She studied Psychology in Bogotá, Colombia, and got immersed in painting as a therapeutical tool. This changed her life and allowed her to deeply connect with people beyond words. She moved to Fort Worth, Texas, in 2017, and had gained recognition for her emotional abstract art and self-expression workshops. She had exhibited in different galleries such as Fort Worth Community Arts Center, Gallery Dental, Fort Works Art, The Lawley Art Group, FGIII Gallery, and Texas Visual Arts Association Gallery, in which she was awarded a Best in Show in 2018. A True GEM of person and Visual Creative Artist. Ever since he was a child, illustration and design have been his passion. He was raised in Colombia and there he started his career in advertising 25 years ago. He worked in some of the top agencies, such as Havas, Ogilvy & Mather, DDB, and Sancho BBDO. He managed creative projects for renowned brands such as EXITO Stores, KIA Motors, Bancolombia Bank, Toyota, SAB Miller, The Clorox Company, Visa Inc., El Tiempo Newspaper, among others. In 2013 He took a leap with my family and moved to Dallas, TX. to lead and guide the art and visual direction at Dieste Inc., a multicultural agency. He got to work for important brands such as Cheetos, Cricket Wireless, Reeses, AT&T, Goya Foods, The Wild Detectives Bookstore, Dallas Pets Alive!, among others. His constant interest in new and different visual expressions, his passion for illustration, and his OCD have manifested in me as a formula to address the vast amount of projects during my trajectory. As always, the driving force behind each endeavor was to obtain pleasing results, some of which have ended up being honored in important festivals such as Cannes Lions, One Show, D&AD, Clio, New York Festival, LIA. believe in the motto "Gentileza Gera Gentileza" (Kindness Begets kindness, José Datrino, a Brazilian urban personality). Kena Sosa is an award-winning author and emerging screenwriter. Her children’s books Kindertransport-a child’s journey won a CLC Award for historical fiction in 2018. Her book, The Unhuggables, won the Enchanted Page Book Award in 2019. She has experience on screen as an actress in commercials and film, and writing for film. For her film, The Clandestine Lunch Life of Nina, she has taken on the role of writer and executive producer. Mehmet Candas is a scientist, educator and occasional multimedia artist at The University of Texas at Dallas. He teaches at the School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics. His courses include Biochemistry, Molecular Cell Biology, Biotechnology, Proteomics, Cellular Microbiology, Modern Biology, and Human Body Systems. Previously he served as Research Manager at the Center for Biotechnology and Bioinformatics. At this position, he conducted research on cell adhesion receptors and bacterial toxins. As the scientific co-founder and internal consultant to the company, he provided strategic and operational leadership for the R&D projects. Alejandra Espino creates comics, illustrations and works on projects that excite her, as long as there is drawing involved, and the opportunity to share experiences with different artists. She has received the creation Jóvenes Creadores Grant (MX, 2012-2013), the Poesía en Voz Alta (Out Loud Poetry) in 2016, as a part of AA&A, and she was selected for Trans-comic, a comic exchange project with the Goethe Institute (2017).
Her work has been published in several anthologies both Mexican and international, and self published projects.

On December 1 - 2020, Círculo Creativo USA announced that Flor Leibaschoff has been elected as its new President for the 2021-22 term.
Flor is Group Creative Director at LERMA/ and has been in the advertising world for over 18 years. Her last 10 years were spent as Creative Director of some of the largest agencies in the US Hispanic market. She has helmed million-dollar campaigns for multinational brands. She was the first Hispanic in the industry to win a Young Lions at the Cannes festival, among many other international accolades. She began her career in Argentina at Del Campo Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi, Pari-Renault and Agulla & Baccetti.
She immigrated to the US in search of a greater challenge and has remained here ever since. She was a creative director at Dieste and Inspire!, as well as Vice President and Secretary of Education of Círculo Creativo.
Flor remarks, “I am very excited about this opportunity. The Círculo opened the doors to the world for me and I hope now I can give back a little of everything it gave me. There is a very strong group behind the Círculo, and we all put a lot of effort into it to grow the industry. We have a lot of projects so members will get more out of it than ever this cycle. Manuel Villazón was an amazing architect and his legacy still leaves on (1932-2012). He was one of the founders that brought Graphic Design and Industrial Design as a career to Mexico City during the sixties. He opened the first Graphic Design store in Mexico City during the seventies and created many important buildings, environmental designs, advertising materials, international olympic exhibits and of course Director of the Design department s of the XIX Olympic Games in Mexico 1968 next to the Architect Pedro Ramírez Vázquez among many other roles.
