I really wanted to rant and let my feelings out, because I have been bottling up my feelings for quite a while now. I'm so tired of people invalidating me, my symptoms, and my diagnosis. If you do not wish to hear me rant, please feel free to skip listening to this.

Disclaimer: I may sound utterly mean in this episode.

Trigger Warnings: Self-harm, Suicidal Ideation, Death or its imagery, and Self-mutilation

A lot of times, I'm not really happy with how my days go by, so today I want to visualize for myself how my perfect day is going to be. In the end I ask you, too, how your perfect day goes. For this episode, I also challenged myself to be without script. It was actually the shortest recording session I had done. It usually takes me two to three hours because of editing and re-recording everything before I upload it. It was a very nice break from symptomatology of mental disorders. Episode 7 was supposed to be a breakdown of the differences of GAD, SAD, and Panic Disorder, but I think today's chitchat of sorts was a really good way to be a bit more relaxed and not too rigid. This is also me making up for the non-uploading for two weeks. I hope you enjoy today's episode!

I reuploaded the episode, because I took down the one I uploaded last week. I took it down because I didn't want people to listen to it as I thought it was very lacking. It felt very robotic, and it lacked substance. I hope this reupload would be a much better fit. If you want to read up on the article I read from the NIMH, here is the link: https://www.nimh.nih.gov/health/publications/social-anxiety-disorder-more-than-just-shyness/index.shtml

Generalised anxiety disorder is an anxiety disorder which has an essential feature of excessive worry and anxiety about a number of events and activities. Did you know that 6.8 million adults in the US have GAD, but only 43.2% are receiving treatment (https://adaa.org/about-adaa/press-room/facts-statistics#:~:text=GAD%20affects%206.8%20million%20adults,co-occurs%20with%20major%20depression.)?

I talk about being lost and how I found myself in a maze. It's filled with thoughts on finding my purpose, and how it makes/made me happy. I actually put off uploading it for reasons I state in the end of this episode, and then the main thing being anxiety. I hope you enjoy this episode as much as I had fun making it (exclude the uploading part where I get anxiety.)

This episodes reads out topics from the DSM-5 to give accuracy to symptomatology and NOT to give diagnosis to anyone. I also speak about my experiences with the listed symptoms same as to what I have said in previous psychiatric consultations. This episode reiterates that seeking professional help is best.
