Thousand Eyes On Me
Thousand Voices is a podcast from Thousand Eyes On Me that aims to bring you the most inspiring stories of brilliant women and minorities, revealing their aspirations and how and why they are changing the world. We take you behind the scenes into the lives of these successful leaders and entrepreneurs who’ve made it to the top so that you can get inspired, show support, and create your own path. This podcast is a platform to amplify and empower all voices, especially those that are less heard. A place where we share not only success stories, but also stories of self-doubt, fear, and failure.
Professor Flora Salim from sydney Australia, is an award winning researcher, and respected professor.
She is a Professor in the School of Computing Technologies, the co-Deputy Director of RMIT Centre for Information Discovery and Data Analytics, and an Associate Investigator of ARC Centre of Excellence in Automated Decision Making and Society.
She is the inaugural CISCO Chair of Digital Transport, School of Computer Science and Engineering, UNSW Sydney. She serves as a member of various boards of very highly recognized institutions such as the Australian Research Council (ARC) College of Experts.
Her research sits in the cross-cutting areas of ubiquitous computing, machine learning, and data science, with specific interests on time-series and spatio-temporal data; representation learning of spatio-temporal and mobility behaviours; and data-efficient learning with multimodal sensor data.
She received the Women in AI Awards 2022 Australia New Zealand in the Defence and Intelligence category.
Rochelle Eim is Professor of Sport Science, and a behavioural epidemiologist researcher focusing on community sport participation. She is the Director of PASI (the Physical Activity and Sport Insights) research team at Federation University and Victoria University. Rochelle has a bachelors of applied science in human movement and sport sciences, and a phd in philosophy of sports injury epidemiology.
She is the winner of the AI for sport award of the Women in AIawards 2022 Australi/NZ.
Ramona Vijeyarasa is a lecturer, author, and human rights activist. She is the Chief Investigator behind the Gender Legislative Index. She is also a Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Law and the Juris Doctor Program Head at the University of Technology Sydney.
Her international human rights activism has included, advancing anti-trafficking victim reintegration networks in Vietnam and Ukraine, filing briefs before the European Court of Human Rights, the Supreme Court of Moldova, and the Supreme Court of the Philippines, and managing multi-country programs to advance women’s reproductive rights and freedom from violence.
Ramona was the 2020 Women’s Leadership Institute Australia Research Fellow. She was the winner of the Women in AI Law Awards, and the 2nd Runner-up for the Innovator of the Year for the Women in AI AWARDS 2022 Australia NZ.
Originally from Georgia, Elena Sitnikova is an award-winning academic and researcher, Associate Professor of Cybersecurity and Networking, at the College of Science and Engineering, at Flinders University.
Elena is a global leader in Critical Infrastructure protection and cybersecurity. She is recognized as a national contributor to Australia’s ongoing defence. Her contribution to the field is demonstrated through multiple competitive grants she has received from industry, State and Federal Government partners in Australia.
For her educational achievements she has been awarded the internationally recognised Senior Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy and an Australian Award for University Teaching. She is also the winner of the AI in cybersecurity for the Women in AI awards 2022 australi and NZ.
Dr Cori Stewart is Founder and CEO of the ARM Hub, a not-for-profit company on a mission to digitally transform industry. The ARM Hub specialises in AI, robotics and manufacturing, collaborating with industry and universities to modernise manufacturing practises, commercialise R&D, and build workforce capability.
Cori has had a distinguished career and is a recognised leader in developing large-scale partnerships between industry, research institutions, governments and the community. Cori has previously held senior university appointments and government policy roles in industry development, the digital economy, creative industries and innovation.
Associate Professor Cori Stewart was awarded Women in AI Australia NZ- AI for Manufacturing Winner in 2022 and Women in Technology's Professional Technology Leader of 2020.

Camille Goldstone-Henry is a wildlife scientist, and the Founder and CEO of Xylo systems, a tech biodiversity startup. She is a descendent of Kamilaroi, which is the second largest nation on the eastern coast of Australia, indigenious tribes.
As an experienced wildlife conservation manager, she has worked with the world's most endangered species, including the Tasmanian devil and Sumatran tiger.
In 2020 she built a cloud-based platform to connect, track and manage conservation projects. The platform aggregates data from various sources and provides insights into some of these conservation projects so that decision makers can optimize resources. Camille is on a mission to turbocharge wildlife conservation globally.
She is the Women in AI trailblazer 2022 and Winner of the women of the future 2021 awards.

She is CSIRO’s Principal Research Scientist in transformational bioinformatics and adjunct associate professor at Macquarie University.
She keynotes international IT, LifeScience and Medical conferences and is an AWS Data Hero. Her achievements include developing open-source bioinformatics software to detect new disease genes and developing computational tools to track, monitor and diagnose emerging diseases, such as COVID-19.
She was the winner of the AI in Innovation Category for Women in AI Awards 2022.
Prof Karin is an Executive Dean, School of Computing Technologies at RMIT University. She is a senior academic leader, with a strong desire to create inclusive, cohesive, and productive collaborative research and educational environments. She is also passionate about supporting #WomenInSTEM and diversity and inclusion initiatives. Prof Karin is a computer scientist by training, with an emphasis on artificial intelligence and cognitive science, particularly focused on language representation and processing in the biomedical domain. Her research focuses on the use of computational techniques, particularly natural language processing, machine learning, text mining and knowledge integration, primarily in the context of biomedical data analysis. Prof Karin is a Fellow of the Australasian Institute of Digital Health. She has been applying her AI skills in the biomedical domain since 2003, addressing problems ranging from information extraction of biological concepts and events, to the use of text mining to support interpretation of biological data, to detection and prediction of disease from clinical data.

Dr Yun Sing Koh is an associate professor at the School of Computer Science, The University of Auckland. Her main research area is Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML). Specifically, she focuses on three major research strands: continual learning and adaptation, anomaly detection, and data stream mining. She is passionate about using machine learning for social good, and her research has been applied to interdisciplinary applications in environment and health domains. To date, she has published 100+ peer-reviewed publications in top conferences and journals, including IJCAI, IEEE ICDE, IEEE ICDM, Machine Learning Journal and Journal of Artificial Intelligence. She won the New Zealand Royal Society of Fast-Start Marsden funding (2018) and the United States Office of Naval Research Grant (2019). She has been active in the research community, including serving as the General Co-Chair at the IEEE International Conference on Data Mining 2021, Workshop Co-Chair at the ECML 2021, Program Co-Chair of the Australasian Data Mining Conference 2018 and as the Workshop CO-Chair for the 15th Pacific-Asia Conference on Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining.
Amy is the Chief Data Scientist at the Australia National Bank (NAB), leading the acceleration of advanced analytics, AI/ML at scale. Prior to NAB, Amy held various leadership positions, including the Global Head of Analytics and Data Science at HSBC, General Manager of Group Data Science at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, and the Founding member and Chief Data Scientist at DataSpark, Singtel’s pioneering data monetization spin-off. Amy has extensive expertise in large scale AI/ML ecosystem and end-to-end value chain, with proven commercial success and is recognised as a global leader in AI and data-driven innovation. She is a member of the Bank of England and Financial Conduct Authorities AI Public-Private Forum, a Data Board member at MIT Center for Information Systems Research, and an Advisory Board member at Melbourne Business School Center for Business Analytics. Amy also serves as a Trustee at Mental Health Innovations (UK's largest digital mental health charity) and a Founding Editorial Board member of Springer’s Journal of AI & Ethics. Amy is a champion for diversity and inclusion, a frequent public speaker, a co-inventor and co-author of multiple Patents and Publications. She is actively involved in promoting industry-academic collaboration and contributing to industry and scientific standards. She was awarded an Honorary Doctorate for her leadership and contributions in the fields of data science, and named as one of the global top 100 innovators in data and analytics in 2021 and 2022. Amy has a Ph.D in Data Mining, a MSc in AI, a BSc in Computer Science and an MBA.

As a thought leader in operational improvement and innovation, she is responsible for all efforts to evangelize the transformative world of work for enterprise customers in the Asian-Pacific region. Elisha is helping customers re-imagine the possible and solve important problems to create stunning change. Prior to ServiceNow, Elisha worked for a number of top tier professional services firms, consulting with the largest global and Australian local enterprises across banking, telecommunications and more. From running large Digital transformations (both technical and business). Elisha worked for PwC across technology solutions which included fraud detection, risk sentiment, automation, and advanced analytics as well as blockchain and other leading technology cloud SaaS solutions. Working within C-suite agendas and large impactful programs impacting employee and customer experience, Elisha aims to supercharge productivity scaling across the organization whilst cultivating a culture of innovation at its core.
Dr. Priya Ponnapalli is a senior manager and principal scientist at the Amazon Machine Learning (ML) Solutions Lab, where she leads a global team that helps AWS customers accelerate their ML and cloud adoption across industries, from healthcare and finance to sports. As leader for Amazon ML Solutions Lab’s sports business, she works with customers including the National Football League (NFL), Formula 1 (F1), Six Nations Rugby, and sports organizations worldwide to enhance the fan experience and transform sports using ML. Viewers love seeing her team’s work integrated into game broadcasts. Previously, Ponnapalli was the founding data science lead at JPMorgan Chase, where she created the first implicit feedback recommender system for Chase Ultimate Rewards. Before that, as a senior software engineer on the machine learning team at Bloomberg L.P., she developed and deployed the first social media analytics tool in finance, Bloomberg Social Velocity.
Svetha Venkatesh is an ARC Australian Laureate Fellow, Alfred Deakin Professor and Co-Director of the Applied Artificial Intelligence Institute (A2I2) at Deakin University. She was elected a Fellow of the International Association of Pattern Recognition in 2004 for contributions to formulation and extraction of semantics in multimedia data, a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering in 2006, and a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Science in 2021 for ground-breaking research and contributions that have had clear impact. In 2017, Professor Venkatesh was appointed an Australian Laureate Fellow, the highest individual award the Australian Research Council can bestow.
Dr. Cécile Paris is a Chief Research Scientist and the Director of the Collaborative Intelligence Research Program (Future Science Platform) at CSIRO. She holds an Honorary Professorship at Macquarie University and is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Sydney and RMIT. She is a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Technology and Engineering and a Fellow of the Royal Society of New South Wales.
Professor Batstone is a leading global expert on AI, data analytics and technology. She has more than 20 years’ experience in senior executive roles across the United States of America, Europe, and Australia, helping organisations use technology to meet their goals. She is currently the inaugural Director of Monash Data Futures Institute at Monash University and passionate about the benefits of AI driving major change for social good.

She is an international public speaker on entrepreneurship, fintech, emerging technologies, and diversity and inclusion. Joanna is a PR strategist, founder of JKPR, advisor and community builder working alongside international ecosystem builders, VC funds, fast-growth companies and startups in tech and creative industries. Zehra Cataltepe is the CEO and co-founder of Tazi AI Systems which provides SaaS automated Machine Learning solutions for insurance, finance, retail and telecoms industries. She holds a PhD in Computer Science, has 18 patents and over 100 publications on theory of machine learning and its applications in finance, health, energy and transportation. Despite a car accident that put her in a wheelchair for almost two years with doctors saying she would never walk again, Abby competed in the ironman races and came 2nd in the olympics triathlon. Being inspired by life and having experienced the brutalities present in the business world towards women and minor communities, she decided to challenge the status quo. As a result, Thousand Eyes On Me was born to bridge the leadership gap.
