I’m just a dad reading to his son. I’ve read to my boys almost every night of their lives. My teenager is now “too cool” to read with dad, and I know that’s just over the horizon with my youngest. This is an attempt to capture the last few of the best moments of my life.

In the intro, a song about a pig. I think. Max and Harley run from the fuzz, and the boys have a heart-to-heart.
Another short chapter tonight. Bay got in a spot of bother, as the kids say, and we had to make it a short session. As you can probably tell by the beginning bit, he was suitably chastised.
The Griffins learn more about Iron Bridge Academy, and Max figures out why he dislikes Xander so much.
Merry Christmas to those who celebrate, happy holidays to those who don’t! Here’s a peek behind the curtain at my crazy, crazy family, and one of our Christmas traditions. Predictably, there are interruptions.

The Griffins chase the wandering beetle and find themselves in a situation that requires some problem solving - with potentially disastrous repercussions.
Apparently I was supposed to know we were going to read the next series and have the first book ready to go. I did not. Thanks to OpenLibrary.org, however, crises were averted. In this episode we get a refresher on the kids, experience Max’s nightmare, and set the foundation for a new adventure.
The penultimate chapter! Lord Sumner wields his power, Sprig returns, and Max must make a choice, the fate of the world hanging in the balance.
Brooke finds an unlikely ally, Max finally reaches the World Tree, Athena has a plan, and the return of Lord Sumner. Only two chapters left!
Happy birthday, Bayani! I read chapters 25 and 26 back-to-back, and I think I sort of put the synopsis to both in the last show notes. So I’ll just use this section to wish my baby boy a happy eleventh birthday 🥰
The team battles for their lives while the fate of the world hangs in the balance. Max and Logan get separated and Max’s contraband comes in handy. On a personal note, Happy Birthday to my beautiful Bayani!

The group makes it to the end of the terrestrial road and onto the water where they experience a mysterious - and deadly - encounter
As the crew traverses the underground, Max finds his greatest strength has become his greatest weakness, and Natalia gets a bit of a comeuppance.
This is the third book in the Gray Griffin series. It’s just me reading to my son, voices and all. My Scottish accent is consistent and flawless.
