Today, we're sailing into the territory of Premium Outsourcing. It's a realm many have ventured into, yet few seem to conquer. Are you ready for the journey? Well, anchor's aweigh!
So, let's face it. One of the major reasons we tend to outsource is to save money.
However, there's a fine line between budgeting and underpaying, and that's where we often get it wrong. Have a listen and let me explain.
Get ready for another enlightening episode of 'More Sauce' with your host, Benjamin Williams, as we delve into the crucial world of outsourcing. This episode unravels the '3 Honest Truths About Outsourcing', providing must-know insights for entrepreneurs, leaders, and business owners alike.
We debunk the notion that outsourcing is merely about cost-cutting, highlighting its role as a strategic partnership that brings valuable expertise into your business.
Communication's pivotal role in bridging cultural and language gaps gets its fair share of the spotlight, as does the significance of viewing outsourcing as more than just a transaction - it's about building and nurturing a mutually respectful relationship.
Join us in this episode as we unveil these truths to help you optimize your outsourcing efforts.
Today is my 4th year in business.
Instead of just bragging about my successes,
I thought I'd share my biggest blunders as a founder
so you can avoid them.
Here are the four dumbest things I did:
- I got too obsessed with one idea and refused to change direction even when it made no sense. Don't be like me - pivot if you need to!
- I started chasing shiny new ideas and needed to remember about the main business. Rookie mistake, I know—goodbye growth.
- I held on to clients who were more toxic than an overripe avocado. Listen, not every client is worth the money - trust me, your mental health and your team will thank you.
- When things got stressful, I stopped taking care of myself. Pro tip: don't do that. It's hard to run a business when you're a walking zombie.
So.. happy 4 years to us!

"Why is my designer so slow?" 🐌

Often there are other factors at play within your design brief and designers day that could be contributing to your perceived perception of design speed.
It's a FAQ we get asked here at 55 KNOTS, "how long will [project] take", and it's often 'how long is a piece of string'.
Design is an art form and everyone's tastes of what they consider good design are different. (It's why everyone has their own choice of art hanging in their homes).
This means some projects have no revisions and others have more, which can add time to your design delivery.
But, there are some reasons the design process might feel slow, but there are ways you can speed it up.
