In today's episode Clare and Jessica talk about business debt - is it something we should feel shame about? Is it different to personal debt? We share some of the ways that business debt can be helpful and outline our personal opinions about how we approach debt in our businesses. Jessica shares that her learning point this month is to take a breath and allow herself to receive. She is also practising taking command when she feels overwhelmed. Clare is going to lean into her business systems in moments of overwhelm, and is heading off to London's most prestigious flower show with her bird food business!
In this episode, Jessica and Clare talk about how to do better with that feeling all mums are familiar with - feeling run down. There can be so many competing responsibilities and demands on our time as working mums, and feeling run down has been normalised and almost become something to boast about. But it isn't something to aspire to, and actually, it isn't something we have to accept. Jessica shares about her new lego organisation system, and that she is learning more about how to stop overcommitting. Clare is learning that large-scale business events need more planning in advance, and is taking action with managing her working day (especially remembering to eat lunch!)
Clare and Jessica both have colds! We share our tips for leveraging time and energy in our businesses - Jessica talks about her small team and Clare shares the systems and processes that support her. We wonder if we're grumpy people. Jessica invents the word 'insourcing'. Jessica is learning that it's great to have momentum but it might be time to regain some balance. Clare is learning that it's time to make the most of the extra hours she has each week now that her husband is doing more of the school runs. Jessica is rooting out scarcity in her underwear drawer. Again. Clare is going to stick to one thing in her marketing.
In this episode we share our experiences of finding it hard to go 'all in' with our businesses over the years, and how we are learning to show up with more confidence and certainty. We talk about being an entrepreneur in terms of motherhood, marriage, and what to do when you realise your husband is better at 'your' household chores.

It's great to have ambition and drive as an entrepreneur, but how do you balance your vision for the future when you aren't quite there yet? Clare shares her recent learnings about customer experience, and Jessica talks about avoiding self-sabotage.
In this episode we talk about the freedom we have as entrepreneurs, and how easy it is to forget this. Jessica shares how she has radically reduced her work schedule. Clare talks about the impact of having grown up with a family business. We're also sharing what we have learned this month, and what we're working on for the month ahead.
Welcome to the very first episode of the She Gets It podcast, with co-hosts, Jessica Fearnley and Clare Cahill.
In this episode we share a little of our story - how we became friends aged 11 or 12, the rock band we formed as teenagers, being more career-focused in our 20s, starting families in our 30s and separately founding businesses as entrepreneurs somewhere along the way.
We share the things we've learned this month, and what we're going to be working on in the month ahead.
